Oh hey, I forgot Buddy hadn't shown up in camp yet! :D He followed us all the way to the mountain pass! Good boy, Buddy!

(In Mass Effect and Dragon Age my pets were all named differently on different playthroughs but for some reason Buddy is always Buddy to me in all worldstates. XD I have no reason for this. He just is.)

Rakha doesn't wake immediately as the cub enters the camp. She is locked in yet another dream of gore and death, memories of unfathomable destruction mixed with the scent of blood all over her hands. She lies on the bedroll, restless, twitching, her breath fast and shallow.

The owlbear cub watches curiously as she writhes within her dreams and then gives a soft questioning hoot.

She snaps awake, both fists clenched at her sides, her eyes suddenly wide and pupils dilated in the darkness. The cub darts back a step out of her reach and hoots again softly. It takes her a moment to remember where she is, what is happening - and what this clawed thing in front of her is.

Narrator: You recognize the feathered creature - it's the owlbear cub you rescued.

The beast urge in her head welcomes the new arrival as it welcomes all new faces. Kill. A boot strike to the face, crush the beak back up into the brain--

But stronger and more immediate is her recollection of Wyll helping her meet Scratch out in the forest, or the cub itself in the goblin camp - calmness, a hand outstretched. This creature is no threat - and in fact might be like the dog, another source of unexpected comfort. Attack with purpose. There is no purpose here.

So she forces her breathing to slow, her heart to calm, and sits up, eyeing the cub cautiously.

[ANIMAL HANDLING] Beckon him closer.

She reaches out her hand as she remembers Wyll doing, very carefully, knuckles loose.

Narrator: The cub tilts his head. He does not trust you - yet.

Rakha actually feels the strange tug of a smile on her face that has nothing to do with the dark urge. Of course the cub does not trust her. She understands this. She is the same way with anyone she does not know. Careful and dangerous. It is only with those in this camp that she has begun to feel moderately comfortable - because they have the tadpole in common, because they have proved to be of use to each other, to understand each other.

The cub, then, will not trust her until she is of use to it as well.

Fetch a piece of food from your bag.

(A/N: I still love that literally everyone in camp approves of this except Lae'zel. In this case I fully believe Lae'zel is still just grumpy at Rakha in general. XD )

Narrator: The cub's eyes lock onto the food in your hand.

(A/N: I also cannot get over how fucking cute they managed to make this animal. The owlbear cub is the platonic ideal of the Round Friend-Shaped Creature and even Rakha is not immune to it.)

Keep the food held out in front of you.

Narrator: He takes a hesitant step toward you, his beak chittering hungrily.

There's a soft step behind Rakha. Wyll has emerged from his tent and is watching this little interchange play out. There's a small smile on his face, almost affectionate; it's hard to tell if it's directed at Rakha or the cub. Perhaps both.

"When I see a creature as sweet as that," he murmurs, "I hardly miss the Gate at all."

He hasn't spoken loudly, but the cub and Rakha both jump at the unexpected voice as if struck with electricity.

Narrator: Alarmed by your companion's approach, the cub turns heel and runs.

Rakha gives Wyll an imposing glare at the interruption, but Wyll just laughs softly. "It'll be back," he says lightly. "Be on your guard, or risk getting a peck!"

-Ayana found him asleep with his phone buzzing due to you spamming him at 3am.

-he isn’t awake very late, he goes to sleep early. So when you first start spamming him he adjusts his sleep schedule to be able to text you. He probably gets caught talking to you a couple times by Mrs. Hirose, she’s so nice and sweet though. she gives him a warning and invites you over to spend the night and makes you guys food. But Ayana eavesdrops and reports to her mother about your guys’ conversations..

-he genuinely thinks the stuff you send him is funny and he giggles silently at all the stupid shit you send him.

Rohan Kishibabe

-he is so fucking pissed.

-“Y/N why would you interrupt me for your childish stories?”

-he probably blocks you :/ (he unblocks you later tho,, only to block you again the next night, it’s an endless cycle.)

-After a while he enjoys your goofy stories about your dreams, he may smile at your memes sometimes but never to go as far to actually laugh.

-you guys probably call often, Rohan is good at multitasking and can call while drawing his manga.

-as long as you don’t tell anybody your calling him during work hours he doesn’t care. (He doesn’t want the gang calling him while he’s at work, ur the exception)

-if he is up late and texts you it’s probably him giving you a list of shampoo, soaps and cleaning products because he says you stink.

Yukako Yamagashi

-As seen in most of Yukakos episodes she doesn’t enjoy people goofing off a lot, she’s strict and focused. Which is so beautiful I love her-

-She doesn’t mind you going off task and not sleeping though. Mainly because you spend the time texting her. She adores you and the stuff you find funny. She isn’t one for memes but I can see her liking memes after you spam them.

-whenever you tell Yukako about your dreams she always laughs and chuckles, she sends back long detailed paragraphs in response but if she’s too tired she send small paragraphs with poor grammar.

-She probably sends you pictures of herself at night, mainly her getting ready for bed with a smile, to remind you to “Go to sleep, we have a long day ahead of us! ❤️”

Hazamada

-he’s the type to send cursed images, you can expect horrifying shit to look at, I kinda feel like he would send pictures of dead animals with the words “Pablo dead” over them?? If this stuff freaks you out it’s gonna be a fictional animal, probably from a manga he likes.

-he tells you about his dreams too, he usually has nightmares but telling you helps him laugh it off.

-sometimes Surface steals Toshikazu’s phone and texts you, and if he does it means Hazamada is asleep. Toshikazu will take a picture of the sleeping Hazamada and send it to you saying “bitch fell asleep at 9pm.”

Mikitaka

-he doesn’t have a phone, you’d probably have to buy him one. Or he’ll steal one. Either works 🤪

-he is amused by your ranting, he finds it very enjoyable.

-he doesn’t understand many of your memes but he always laughs.

im signed up for a maps class this semester and inm ridiculous abt it. i am so excited for all the content when we went thru the syllabus. ive been obsessed w maps my whole life hggnhhgjjj. has nothing to do w my major but the nice thing abt my major/minor is the way i view them its good background in understanding info / theory / whatever u call it that i can apply to technical career and studies in the future. like land surveyor and maps plotter person >:3 not to mention political/sociological/corporate infomaps like. buddyyyyyy. it just makes sense. and i love maps. when the maps guy was talking about the qualities of mapness i almost lost it. i have like six maps apps on my phone just for fun. ok

A-ah, thank you LOADS for the kind words about my surgery, too! I was quite terrified due to some stuff, but you’re absolutely right; I’m in good hands. Doctors do this daily, and the doctor operating me is skilled from what internet and people commenting on her profile say. And she’s from the BEST school of the country (fourth in latin-america), and she’s got an amazing resume (available online), so I’m muuuuuch more confident than I was days ago. Not to say your message and a couple others I received helped IMMENSELY. Like you seriously have literally no idea :’3

I don’t think I’d have noticed that she’s an amazing doctor and that this is just an easy surgery wasn’t for you and the other comments. You all are right; I’ll be safe, and everything will be okay. I’ve already made my peace with that, so while I do am nervous and I’m sure I’ll be very scared when the moment comes, I’m not in denial or panic anymore. I think the nerves and fear are normal; terror and denial are not. So I’m happy that you all helped me get rid of them and be back to positivity. Thank you, like you don’t have an idea. You helped much more than you know, or even intended to :)
