the sergeant might make a playful joke about it, if he didn't know exactly which look she was talking about. but he does, because others (notably: steve) have told him so; bucky never thought he was being obvious, but apparently he'd never exactly been subtle. his affections for yana aren't easily contained, it seems, something that may be a blessing in disguise. it's in moments like these that he's able to call attention to it, because she asks, and invites the discussion. ❝ you're so beautiful, ❞ he says after a moment, and reaches out to brush a strand of hair out of her face, tucking behind her ear delicately. ❝ i just can't believe 'm this lucky. to have you in my life, let alone like this. ❞ being with her is the kind of thing he'd always dreamed about, but never thought he'd be able to have. stability, care, love. ❝ you mean the world to me, yana. ❞
