Would be p wild if Nexus and Sun regressed together and were damn near surgically attached to each other. Like, if the redemption left people highly uncomfortable aboyt it and initially it was so awkward bc They Don't Want Sun And Nexus Near Each Other In Such Vulnerable States, except they keep gravitating towards the other. And once they're in sight???? Good luck separating them without screaming, crying and meltdowns.

Antics Include:

• They're ALWAYS holding hands

• they ALWAYS seem to regress at the same time post NSP Purification in Nexus

• upon investigation, Nex holds some of Sun's innate Star Power internally, spread veneers thin, not enough to utilize, but enough to prevent NSP from growing again. Basically Star Power antibodies. But since they're SUN'S OWN POWERS, they're lowkey synced in odd and unusual ways.

• Sun struggles with words regressed, and Nex always seems to Know just what his tiny bubbie needs. ((Sun: abaabaababdadas- //Nexus, nodding seriously: Thunny hung'y, Moo'.))

• Nexus has a lisp btw and also has the animatronic equivalent of asthma from NSP stuff

• Sun, absolutely WIRED: I can't regress, I don't have time, I gotta go, go, go-

Nexus, appearing from nowhere, cracking his knuckles dramatically: dw guys I got this. *immediately starts to cry*

Sun: !!! .... !!.... !.... Q~Q *starts crying, dropping quickly*

• ALSO Nex is still absolutely a little menace btw just wanted to clarify. Sometimes he'll listen intently to Sunny's babbles, turn right around and say "Baby Thunny thayth you're a bitch. An' he'th right >:3c"

• they have multiple matching pj sets. Solar and Moon ALSO have coordinating pj sets. They Are Not Immune To Baby Eyes. So sometimes the kids will be happily playing in their Applejack and Fluttershy onesies while Twilight-Solar and Discord-Moon try very hard not to make eye contact.

• Sunny plays cult games with their toys and Nexus gets to be the loyalty enforcer. They rule with tiny iron fists. It's lowkey terrifying.

• Lil Nexus doesn't like Taurus. Not in a "I'm scared of yoy" way but in a "no don't take my Thunny" way. It's adorable and mildly exasperating.

• Sun is a biter. He usually has teethers or pacifiers, but sometimes..... sometimes Nex's hat.... it beckons..... n o m-

• on less than stellar days (pun slightly intended), the tots prefer to be mostly alone and just tucked up somewhere dark, comfy and confined. One way or another, the other always finds the sad one and they burrito together in whatever dark and quiet place they can find. No expectations, no need to be okay, just little hands twisted together, foreheads pressed close, and safe from any monster real or imagined.

• they're both MONUMENTALLY protective of each other. Make Sunny cry? Nexus is swinging. Make Nexus cry?? Sunny is going FULL Home Alone levels of vengeance. For these reasons, they are no longer allowed to have matches, bowling balls, swifferpads, any more than 243 cottonballs, posterboard, bungee chords, quinoa, or uncooked chickpeas in the house readily available to little vengeful hands. Don't ask. Monty still trembles at the mention of the time he babysat them alone.

I am so proud of Bubby. He gets a gold star.

He let me soak his footie, wash it out, stuff neosporin in his wound with a q-tip, and wrap it up and stuff it in a bootie without so much as a grumble. Didn't jerk his foot or anything, just held still and waited quietly for his hot dogs. (He got many hot dogs.)

He's just such a good boy. I worked damn hard on cooperative care and I'm so glad to see it paying off. Zaku is not shy about telling me when he doesn't like something, so this made me very happy and proud of him.

Bracket Be Upon Ye

This was really hard to seed because I know half of them will be eliminated round 1 but I don't really want any of them to lose lol. I ended up deciding to dedicate entire quarters to (mostly) yaoi or (mostly) yuri, with yaoi and yuri only going up against each other starting in the semifinals. This is just because most of the yaoi pairings are more popular and if I seeded solely on popularity most of the yuri would be eliminated immediately.

(I'm not trying to misgender Raine, and I'm not gonna label that specific pairing "yaoi" or "yuri"; it's just their partner is a woman and there's no easy way to split up the contestants otherwise.)

Round 1 on the left side will start Sunday, July 23. Matches will start being posted at 10:00 AM CST (15:00 UTC) and last for a week. Right side will be next week after the left side concludes.

How much did we funny little anons, and askers contribute to the story? Like, dramanon (I refuse to refer to them as anything else) being chaotic; loudnon going on and on about good mornings; Cherry, and the chaotic antics; and everything?

Some are characters the AI/fictional fucks had come to love or hate, others did as far as to fuck with what Bubby's character meant to go; (*Ahem* Goaₜ-) and play along with various elements of the story you may or may not have improvisedHow did you even manage the email getting infe—Which were pretty neat addition to the story.

Well, they contributed a whole lot. They changed the story into one they would like more in my opinion. So if anything is to be said is that I thank all of you.

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed everything. And yeh I am still trying to figure out how the goat came into play. But at least it was all in good fun.

Q - Infected Messages

How did I manage infected Messages you ask? Well. That's a little trick called... I have no idea they just started to do it themselves.

I did say to Sleepy in a private message that it was funny to seem infected as a message and then it just kinda snowballed from there. Infected Messages were not in my original plans but they ended up ok. Cherry joined in at one point and if I remember correctly I got a good laugh out of that.

In the end infected messages were something I didn't plan or expect but we're a thing I did enjoyed watching.

A couple of people have brought up that Bubby's actor, Gir, has said that Bubby is agender (the specific wording seems to have been "Bubby was made in a tube, so he probably doesn't even have a gender."), and while I very much appreciate that all of you informed me of this (genuinely; I didn't catch that in my research), I'm not sure that Bubby actually counts for the Gender Clause. Here's my reasoning:

When asked what field of science each Science Team member specializes in, Gir said Bubby specializes in "whatever team needs an extra man". Bubby was described to "always be an old man" since his conception in the tube, and apparently does not age. According to Gir, Bubby is, as far as he knows, heterosexual. Along with this, in one of the Q&A streams, Gir stated he sees Bubby as "A milquetoast straight man that fucks." All instances of the word "man" are highlighted in pink. End ID]

Bubby very well may be canonically genderless, but if he is, he is still a genderless man, and since what we are really looking for when it comes to the Gender Clause is what terminology is appropriate to use for a character, I'd say he still counts as a "man" for the purposes of the phrasing of Macbeth's prophecy.

This does not change the verdict at all, of course, but it still very much worth bringing up.

Yes, Bubby from Half-Life VR But The AI Is Self-Aware (aka HLVRAI) could kill Macbeth!

There are a couple of layers to analyze here, but he still qualifies regardless of which one you look at:

You could look at this from the angle that he is canonically an NPC inside a video game, and was therefore coded instead of born by an unknown party. This angle applies him for the Unconventional Birth Clause while leaving BPC completely ambiguous.

You could also look at this through the lens of the in-universe game's story, in which Bubby was a science experiment grown in a tube by Black Mesa, which is directly confirmed through the encounters with his "prototypes"- previous attempts to create the "Ultimate Life Form." As HLVRAI takes place in Half-Life 1, there have not yet been introduced any female scientists working at Black Mesa (later installments of the Half-Life series introduced female characters that worked at Black Mesa, but none appear or are mentioned in HLVRAI), so this angle makes the Birth Parent Clause much more plausible while still firmly applying Bubby for the Unconventional Birth Clause.
