Some design notes for my Enstars Steven Universe AU! I have basic lore info and this post is dedicated to Trickstar! These sketches are like. super unfinished but I hope this is an interesting read! Info under cut🩷

There is a really far away planet that exists somewhere within the Andromeda galaxy called Axia. It is the only planet in the system known to harbor intelligent “life”. These beings are known as Entizians, each possessing a gemstone from Earth as their crest. Each crest contains a different power, and no Entizian is the same. The council overseeing the Entizians are the Celestials; beings with immense power over their jewels that represent a certain concept for the hierarchy

Eichi is, of course, at the top of the hierarchy, representing Eternity. His jewel is the Diamond

Keito is his second in command, representing the concept of Authority. His jewel is the Emerald

Tsumugi is one of Eichi’s closest allies and represents the concept of Diplomacy. His jewel is the Sapphire

And the more rebellious of the Celestials is Rei, who represents the concept of Imagination. His jewel is the Obsidian.

These four represent an overarching rule above Entizian society, and their power is absolute

Rei, for context, is more in tune with the other Entizians, able to recognize their potential and he treats them as equals, even growing close to his “true family”, who are the other Five Eccentrics

One day, however, as the Celestials were overseeing the boundaries of their galaxy, they spot the Milky Way galaxy, and concerned over potential threats, they send several fleets of their advanced technology to scour the Milky Way for signs of life.

Eventually, they find Earth, which DOES harbor intelligent life. Considering options as to how to deal with a possible threat, they send Rei to the planet to do some investigating. While he is there, Eichi, Keito, and Tsumugi come together - knowing Rei’s rebellious nature - and decide to destroy Earth no matter what the outcome is

Rei, meanwhile, is on Earth, and he realizes the planet also harbors natural life that has not remained untouched and preserved. Mind you, this is about 2000 years before the story actually takes place, so our protagonist doesn’t exist yet.

Rei is fascinated by Earth, so when he arrives back on his home planet, he tells the other Eccentrics about what he saw. They too become fascinated, and now there are rumors spreading around the planet (called Axia) about the strange new world

Sensing the danger this could pose, Eichi and the other Celestials unveil their plan to destroy Earth, despite Rei’s information, which greatly angers the latter. He believes that the planet is worth saving, no matter what forms of life inhabit it. The Eccentrics and many others agree that Earth should be saved, but the Celestials forbade any contact with the planet to stop the revolution. Rei, however, doesn’t wish to back down. So he gathers the Entizians that want to save Earth, and they engage in a long, arduous war against the Celestials. Rei enlists his fellow Eccentrics as his generals, and together, they’re able to drive back several platoons of Entizians that loyally served the Celestials

Seeing as it was a losing battle, Eichi, Keito, and Tsumugi decide to simply destroy Earth and the army with their combined strength. Rei, knowing that his rebellion would never be able to hold off a threat so large, decides to sacrifice himself. He gives up his physical form and leaves his jewel to the resistance, who now inhabit Earth. Rei’s “death” basically marked the end of the Celestials impending reign of terror on Earth, but in doing so, drove Axia into an era of great suffering, as they had lost so many of their kind whilst battling each other. Eichi seals himself away, while Keito and Tsumugi desperately search for Rei’s replacement, eventually settling on Tori.

Now, on Earth, the rebellion (who I’ll call the Shards of Creation) live peacefully amongst humans for several thousands of years.

Now, enter Anzu, who encounters 4 Entizians; Subaru, Hokuto, Makoto, and Mao. Subaru’s jewel is Citrine, Makoto’s is Peridot, Hokuto’s is Azurite, and Mao’s is Tourmaline. She noticed they’re not really human and discovers that they’re aliens, essentially.

Timeline of Events

- Approx. 8000 B.C.E; Rei is created, and the planet Axia has seen it’s first “life form”

- Approx. 7990 B.C.E; Eichi, Tsumugi, and Keito come into existence

- Approx. 7500 B.C.E; the Celestial Jewels are established, and the first Entizians start to emerge

- Approx. 5000 B.C.E; First batch of high status Entizians (Third Years) are created

- Approx. 2000 B.C.E; Second batch of high status Entizians (Second Years) are created

- Approx. 1005 B.C.E; Shards of Rebellion are formed

- Approx. 1000 B.C.E; The War for Earth commences, lasting 100 years

- Approx. 900 B.C.E; War for Earth ends. Countless lives are lost/fragmented, and Rei gives up his physical amalgamation to save the planet

- Approx. 880 B.C.E; The Shards of Rebellion are disbanded, and scatter across the planet

- Approx. 0 A.D; Restoration of the planet Earth and Axia is started; leftover Jewels are scavenged and placed in incubators to create new Entizians from Earth, without draining any materials from the land

- Approx. 500 A.D; Axia manages to relocate Earth on their star maps and prepares an assault plan for the future.

- Approx. 1000 A.D; after 1000 years, the youngest batch of Entizians (First Years) fully incubate properly, giving all of them physical forms and names.

- 2005; Anzu is born from her mother and father.

- 2024; Anzu locates Rei’s Jewel, and it attaches itself to her upper chest, rendering her the bearer of the Celestial Obsidian. Anzu meets Hokuto, Mao, Subaru, and Makoto

After the War for Earth, Rei’s position as the Celestial of Imagination was left open. To fill this void, the other Celestials created Tori, the Entizian inhabiting Rose Quartz

Tori is the youngest of all the current Entizians in existence, roughly under 1000 years old. Tori’s behavior is very reminiscent of a young child. Yuzuru, who is the Entizian inhabiting Pearl, is his servant, tasked with guiding him to become the new Entizian of Imagination in Rei’s stead

Tori is often babied by Eichi, very strictly up to code with Keito, and incredibly prone to emotions with Tsumugi. It’s kind of an unstable environment for him to learn considering each Celestial dealt with grief over losing Rei and the anger of his betrayal. They were kind of projecting this onto Tori

Keito’s trying to prevent another betrayal, Tsumugi is trying to stop his heart from breaking again, and Eichi is trying to restore the order lost to his empire so many years ago

Tori’s becoming really stressed out and often acts on his emotions, such as throwing tantrums and demanding unreasonable requests. Tori is incredibly lonely and wants friends, after hearing through a spy that Entizians and Humans alike get along on Earth. He yearns for a friend since he has none besides Yuzuru, who sees himself as nothing more than a servant

Anzu meets Tori for the first time when Tori’s fleets invade their trip to the amusement park. As the Shards of Rebellion continuously fend off their attacks, they eventually get to talk amongst the flowers during the Cherry Blossom viewing. Tori opens up to her, telling her how he never asked to be created, and that so much pressure is being forced onto him and he barely even knows what he’s doing

Anzu related to this heavily. After Rei’s Jewel becomes embedded on her chest, she had to take the mantle as the Shards of Rebellion’s leader, helping to defend the Earth from the returning attackers. She explains how she too didn’t ask to be put in that position, but she’s learning to make the most of it. She has her friends to help, and she offers to be Tori’s first ever friend. He accepts and it’s. really sad. He cries in her arms and is so happy to finally make a friend who shared his same experience

I’ve done a lot of thinking for this AU and I don’t like the idea of having Axia be like the Gem Homeworld in Steven Universe. Rather than being a hierarchy, I decided to make the Celestials the ruling authoritative leaders, and the citizens of their planet, as well as their colonies, just like regular humans on Earth

There are ways to get better standing jobs, but since every Entizian is a different gemstone type, they all have different powers

For example, Wataru is able to see into the future and was placed in a higher standing job due to this power

Characters like Hokuto would be considered regular citizens because his power mainly stems from water, which is a compound only found on Earth. In Axia, he never had powers; only his prowess in spearmenship

In the War for Earth, Rei did have his generals and formed the rebellion after almost being broken during his trial. He was able to use his powers to flee to Earth and begin developing their rebellion

For the Shards of Rebellion, they were classified as either a General, a Soldier, or an Attendant. Makoto was an Attendant, sealing cracks in jewels and creating antidotes for specials poisons like Axian Mercury, which slowly seeps into an Entizians body and breaks their jewel

Hokuto, Subaru, and Mao were Soldiers, so they were usually on the front lines defeating Axian Entizians. They never broke any enemy gems; they simply kept them in bubbles (like SU) and sealed inside their base

Axia aimed to break the Shards of Rebellion, it’s like the equivalent of killing an Entizian, since Entizians are only killable if you break their jewels

Trickstar is the unit in the au with the most amount of times they’ve been reset (reset is like. The equivalent of being poofed)

Subaru has the most with a whopping 47 resets, 45 of them being over the course of the war. Bro could NOT protect himself to save his LIFE😭

Hokuto is the next highest with 19, 16 of them being over the course of the war

Mao has only had 8

Makoto is the one with the least, being reset only 2 times. Mainly because he was never on the front lines, he was a support

It takes them a certain amount of time to rejuvenate. Subaru comes back typically after 2-3 hours, Makoto in about 7, Mao in roughly 2 days, and Hokuto takes the longest at about 5 days

Ibara’s jewel on his amalgamation has cracks because he hasn’t had a healer to take care of them. Makoto can heal cracks which is why none of Trickstar have any

Hokuto and Subaru would most likely have cracks. Subaru’s jewel was actually nearly crushed at some point because a large boulder fell on it

Subaru is. REALLY reckless. He would literally throw himself into fire if he had to to save someone

Which fire wouldn’t do anything to him but still

Alignment only happens when two (or more) Entizians REALLY trust each other

They have to align their wills, in a sense

So they’d be these

Hokuto + Subaru = Azurine

Hokuto + Makoto = Azurdot

Hokuto + Mao = Touzurine

Subaru + Makoto = Citridot

Subaru + Mao = Citraline

Makoto + Mao = Periline

Anzu + Hokuto = Obsirite

Anzu + Subaru = Obsitrine

Anzu + Makoto = Obsidot

Anzu + Mao = Obsiline

Trickstar are one of the many units of rebels that stayed together even after the war

Makoto took an interest in human technology, Hokuto and Subaru decided to do some research into idols, and Mao learned human dancing (breakdancing essentially)

But all of them were fascinated by the concept of idols once Subaru and Hokuto introduced them, so they learned what singing was and started to make their own songs

In order for them to have a place to practice, they built something akin to the Temple in SU; instead, though, the house is situated on a nearby mountain near the city where ES Square is and inside is a small stage for them to practice

Most Entizians don’t live near humanity; they have their own special structures which house other units if they wanted to join

Kanata has a temple under the ocean where he, RYUSEITAI, and Madara live

Wataru has a castle in the sky where he’s holding Natsume, Hiyori, and Jun, and eventually Tori, Yuzuru, Ibara, Nagisa, Sora, and Tsumugi

Shu and Mika live in a manor in the forest together, far from humanity

Aliens would cause a lot of panic if they tried integrating into human society now that they’re more advanced, but back before these progressions, the Entizians freely mingled with humans and learned their customs, including a majority of their languages. Entizians speak Axian, which is a language that sounds incredibly harsh on the ears and cannot be translated to English usually, since most terms are foreign and do not have Earth counterparts

Trickstar are tasked with discovering the location of Rei’s jewel, and they’ve been searching for him for thousands of years because when Rei’s physical form broke permanently, his jewel was flung so far they never found it

But in present times, Anzu miraculously stumbles upon it and in the process of arguing with Hokuto on whether to hand it over or not, it suddenly floats up and attaches itself to her body

Rei is. Ridiculously strong, but he never believed he should use his powers to gain the advantage over others

Some of his powers are these;

- Dream Rememberence/Entering

- Creation of Physical Objects (1 day cooldown)

- Time Stop (Lasts about 1 hour, takes a month to recharge otherwise it’d be too OP)

- Emotional Recognition (basically highly empathetic)

Saw some fanart that got me thinking about how during the War, Koga would've still been walking behind Rei. Other students around would've been turning heads, scowling or gossiping to the other students with them, but Koga would still be there.

Tho it's always been rather interesting to me that the first years from the time of the War, except for Natsume, hardly ever bring up about the War themselves. Like Koga would've been right there with Rei, considering he was temporarily placed in DEADMANZ by Keito with Rei. Sure, Crossroads was the beginning & end of DEADMANZ, but Koga didn't believe that. In Ressurection Sunday, he kept pestering Keito to come practice with him while Rei was still traveling abroad for DEADMANZ, but there wasn't any mention of the War. I can believe Koga has a one-track mind & tuned a lot of it out, especially because he didn't know that Rei basically broke it off with Keito right on stage beside him.

But some of the other first years at that time?? I can only think that they don't bring it up because of the destruction of the War's records & trying to preserve it from the new first years now that they're second years. I still have a lot of translations from the ! era to read so I might definitely be totally off base, but I always found it weird that when Eichi was introduced in the anime, both Subaru & Makoto were all like '??? Who the heck is that?? Never seen him before??' when he's literally the student council president as he took the position over from Rei. Like they were first years at the school. How did they not know?? Wouldn't they have known fine && who put in place the DreFes system?? Edit: Oh I think some mentions of the War by them is brought up by their third year in like later events that haven't made it to ENGstars, but I am behind on readings.

I totally got off topic, like really far off topic. I just wanted to mention about Koga following behind Rei even during the War when he'd come back to the school. Just oblivious to the whispers & glances from those around them who're against the 5 Eccentrics. The only thing Koga caring about is wanting to sing & rock out on stage with DEADMANZ, which ultimately changes to the UNDEAD when Keito departs to let them do whatever they want. Or maybe he truly was aware of it, but he chose to still stick with the one person who he looked up to, wanted to be like & wanted to just be with.

Alright, I think I got it all out of my system now.

Honestly it makes me think of Eichi more. Probably cause of the heavy Christian imagery but also because keito is actually a lot less 'life and existence is futile'. That's a more eichi thing.

Keito is someone who views death as a natural part of his life, not as something to be evaded, denied or looked down upon. Therefore he resolves to give his all to make every moment of his own life matter, which ties in with his complex about irrelevancy and the emphasis he places on memories and preservation of memories (you could even tie it to his preference for historical and cultural Japanese things over more modern western stuff).

Rei describes him as someone who has a certain 'passion for living' that he never could have, and Eichi admits to feeling like he's been feeding off of his passion as well.

Of course, that passion is bordering on desperation if you view it from a place of concern. He's actually a less pessimistic character than people make him out to be! Why else would he keep being his stubborn self!

Sadboi's Incredibly Strange Multifandom Adventure - Chapter 40: I Don't Have a Title for This :/

The Guardians set forth into the night, their path illuminated by the soft glow of P0-3's tablet. They trekked through mystical forests and over ancient bridges, their journey punctuated by the occasional encounter with yokai and youkai, mythical beings that seemed to sense the power they carried. The French Narrator, ever the historian, shared tales of the Touhou universe's inhabitants, weaving stories that painted a vivid picture of the challenges ahead.

As they approached the base of the towering Gensokyo mountains, the air grew colder and the stars shone brighter. The silence was occasionally broken by the distant sound of a waterfall, hinting at the hidden depths of this enigmatic world. They could feel the weight of their mission pressing down on them, but it only served to strengthen their resolve. They were the Guardians of Synthesis, a collection of heroes from across the multiverse, bound by a shared purpose and the unyielding power of friendship.

The path grew steeper, the rocks beneath their feet slippery with dew. Sadboi, in her Kamen Rider Syntech form, led the way with the grace of a gazelle, her vibesense allowing her to navigate the treacherous terrain with ease. The others followed closely, each contributing their unique skills to the trek. Keito, still in his Kamen Rider Synthetix form, scanned the area with his vibesense, ensuring no danger lurked unseen. The French Narrator floated above, his narrative abilities guiding them through the dense underbrush.

But of course, it wouldn't be long until the group stumbled upon someone from this world. A young girl with twin tails and a mysterious aura, dressed in a maid outfit with a crimson ribbon around her neck, watched them from afar. The French Narrator recognized her as the legendary Reimu Hakurei, the Hakurei Shrine Maiden of the Touhou Project. She observed the Guardians with a mix of curiosity and suspicion, her eyes narrowing at the sight of their varied forms.

"Bonjour," the French Narrator called out in his smooth, charming tone. "Nous sommes les Gardiens de Synthèse, en quête du Miroir Cosmique."

Reimu blinked, not understanding a word of French but sensing their peaceful intentions. She approached cautiously, her wooden staff at the ready. "Who are you, and what do you want with the Cosmic Mirror?" she asked in a firm voice, eyeing the unusual assembly.

Sadboi approached, trying her best to explain the situation at hand, her thoughts spilling out as a waterfall of words. "Hi! We're the Guardians of Synthesis, and we're here to help our friend, Yomotsuhi, get rid of some really bad vibes. We heard about this amazing mirror that can do that! Can you help us?"

Reimu, a bit taken aback by the sudden burst of English, studied them for a moment before speaking. "I see… the Phantom's energy is quite nasty. If it's affecting him, the mirror may indeed be of use." She paused, considering their intentions. "But, the mirror is not something to be taken lightly. It's guarded by powerful beings, and not everyone who seeks it leaves with their purity intact."

The group nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of their quest. Keito, in his brooding Kamen Rider Synthetix form, stepped forward. "We've faced many challenges before, and we won't back down now. We need to save our friend, no matter what stands in our way." His vibesense flared up, detecting a hint of understanding in Reimu's emotions.

The French Narrator, ever the diplomat, offered a handshake. "We are all bound by a common goal: to protect and preserve the balance of the universes we visit. We are honored to have you as a potential ally, Reimu Hakurei."

Reimu took his hand, a rare smile gracing her features. "Very well. I shall guide you to the mirror. But beware, the guardians of the mirror are not easily swayed by tales of friendship and bravery. You must be prepared to prove your worth."

The Guardians, bolstered by the newfound alliance, followed Reimu deeper into the Gensokyo mountains. The air grew colder, the trees more ancient and twisted. The scent of magic and mystery hung thickly around them, and the occasional sound of unseen creatures made the hairs on their necks stand up. Despite the eerie surroundings, the bond between the Guardians remained strong. They knew that together, they could conquer any challenge that lay ahead.

As they approached the hidden shrine where the Cosmic Mirror was said to be kept, the path grew steeper and the vegetation thicker. The French Narrator, ever the historian, pointed out various landmarks and mythical creatures they encountered along the way, his voice a mix of excitement and caution. "Look over there, a yokai! And there, the whispers of the tengu in the trees. Gensokyo is indeed a place of great power and danger."

The shrine loomed before them, ancient and awe-inspiring. It was guarded by a trio of yokai, each emanating a different aura. One was fiery and aggressive, another was icy and aloof, and the third was as still and calm as a serene pond. They blocked the path, their eyes narrowing at the group's approach. The French Narrator tried to explain their quest, but the yokai only understood Japanese, leaving the Guardians to rely on their universal language of friendship and hope.

Sadboi stepped forward, her vibesense tingling with the emotions of the guardians. She held out her hand, the Element of Synthesis glowing faintly. "We come in peace," she said slowly, enunciating each word, hoping the yokai could feel the sincerity in her voice. "We seek only to heal our friend and restore balance to your world."

The calm yokai, the one that reminded her of a wise old owl, tilted its head. It spoke in a language that was almost a song, but the French Narrator translated. "You wish to use the mirror for purification. But are you ready to face the reflection of your own hearts?"

The Guardians shared a solemn glance, each knowing the trials they had faced and the darkness they had overcome. Keito, in his Kamen Rider Synthetix form, spoke up. "We are ready. We have seen the worst of ourselves and others, but we fight for the light."

The yokai nodded, seemingly satisfied. With a wave of its hand, the path before them cleared. "The Cosmic Mirror awaits. But remember, it shows not just the darkness, but the light as well. What you see may change you forever."

The group took a collective breath, and with Reimu leading the way, they entered the shrine, ready to face whatever truths the mirror might reveal.

Inside, the air was thick with the power of the cosmos. The walls were adorned with ancient symbols, pulsing with a gentle light that danced across the floor. The mirror stood at the far end, reflecting their anxious faces. Yomotsuhi stepped up to it, his star-studded eyes filled with hope and trepidation. He placed a trembling hand on the cool surface, and the mirror rippled like water.

Suddenly, the room was flooded with memories. The yokai's words echoed as images from each Guardian's past played out before them. Sadboi watched as her friends confronted their deepest fears and moments of doubt. She saw the pain in Keito's eyes as he remembered the betrayal that led to his initial loss of power, the fiery determination in the Doom Slayer's as he faced his own demons, and the quiet resolve of the Blue-eyed Endermen as they chose to stand against their corrupted brethren.

The French Narrator, ever the calm presence, stood beside them, his hand on the hilt of his saber. He whispered words of encouragement, reminding them that their pasts did not define them, but the choices they made moving forward. The mirror's light grew brighter, and the reflections grew clearer, showing not only their flaws but also the moments of courage and camaraderie that had brought them to this point.

As the last of the memories faded, Yomotsuhi took a step back, his purple skin now tinged with a soft glow. The negative energy that had clung to him was gone, replaced by a warmth that seemed to radiate from within. He looked at his friends, his many mouths curling into a smile that was as heartwarming as it was unsettling. "Merci," he said, his voice clear and strong. "Your light has cleansed me."

The group exhaled in relief, their hearts swelling with pride and friendship. The French Narrator stepped forward, placing a hand on Yomotsuhi's shoulder. "You are truly a Guardian of Harmony now," he said. "And together, we shall continue to protect the balance of the multiverse."

With their mission in Gensokyo complete, the Guardians of Synthesis prepared to leave the shrine, their hearts lighter and their bond stronger. As they descended the mountain, they couldn't help but wonder what new adventures awaited them in the vast tapestry of worlds they had yet to explore. But for now, they were content in the knowledge that they had made a real difference in the lives of those they had met and in the fabric of the universe itself. And as they looked to the horizon, the setting sun painted a picture of hope across the sky, a symbol of the light they carried within them, ready to face whatever challenges came their way.

I was forced to limit myself to the characters w cards I sent earlier bc I NEED their bloomed versions to be them in costume dramatically singing and preserve my sanity. Hiyori was banned from participating by Ibara (Hiyori just so happened to give Yuzuru a second mop after that)

I find this group more interesting than Dramatica and also more funny. Imagine you’re in drama club and Kohaku (covered in dust for some reason) comes over and tells you half of your friends are doing a play and you got veto’d from the cast. You distantly Keito giving a lecture. You sigh in relief.

Trickstar, RYUSEITAI and 2wink are put on advertising duty and sell wildly different plays to their audiences. It goes surprisingly smoothly.

Jun gets roped into helping Niki cook for everyone and Hiyori comes along to side-eye people. Nagisa forgets to buy tickets. Ibara is lying face-down on the floor, screaming. Anzu is serving looks instead of serving food bc she’s too feral to be allowed near fire currently. Tori and Sora steal a vending machine, Ritsu asleep on top of it and all.

Leo wrangles Eichi into buying real cannons for his compositions, and people keep finding him in them, still writing. Anzu is not allowed near the cannons either but she ends up sitting on them anyway.

No one has slept for 20+ hours. It is cold. It is snowing outside. Everyone is snowed in by 8 feet of snow. They have power by some miracle, but they’re all piled around the heaters and only occasionally crossing the room to the other groups’ heaters. Niki keeps serving them pies and stew in suspiciously Christmas-decorated bowls.

The show is a huge success. (I’m also working on drawing some of the cards! Hehe) - @frame-anon

The huddling together over one heater transported me back to this one mini play i had to do in 12th grade. god. ty for this.

I think they should also have a secret santa/white elephant thing going on. Just for added chaos. Shu has to get Eichi a present. Madara has to get Keito one. Rinne has Niki and he just asks to marry him for the 300th time. All hail Dramatica 2.0

2wink on advertising duty... i like that. Theyre crafty, they can handle it. Rei, Natsume and Kanata come to see Shu and Wataru and they'll never let them forget this happened for as long as they live.

Speaking of Leo, have you ever seen Mozart l'opera rock? Ive long had the hc that leo visits france and shu takes him to the show. Leo ends up loving it but shu can never forget the human instruments bdsm (which is iconic, everyone, if youve never seen the show, please at least watch this thank you)

For the unwanted flirting thing,

Rei and Keito would intervene like a responsible senior would; Keito might even invoke a national law as a threat (can't say if it'll be successful, however). Rei could probably drive them away by being his obnoxious self.

Midori and Hajime would be scared to do so, but both of them muster the courage for Anzu's sake; Midori because he's a hero, Hajime because it's the right thing to do.

Souma's presence is already enough of a threat. His sword increases that a thousandfold. You don't want to face him in a duel.

Eichi might watch for a bit from a distance to see what happens for his own amusement, but if Anzu gets too uncomfortable, he's stepping in.

If that person has any sense of self-preservation at all, they'd run away when Mama goes :3

Unwanted flirting: accepting

Rei and Keito stepping in saves her soul and she'll apologise to them for having to be saved after it's over with, though she'll be impressed Rei scared them off just by speaking and Keito bringing the law into it may make her consider using it if it happens again.

Midori and Hajime certainly get doted on after, she'd feel bad they had to step in, especially if they're obviously nervous but she'd be thankful for their help. They'll certainly get a lot of thanks for their help.

I mean, if they decide to hit on Anzu or make her uncomfortable in front of Souma to begin with, I doubt they'd be lasting long to begin with! Let's hope they have some duelling skills or they'll immediately regret their decisions.

I'm not surprised, given that she's quite quick to tell people off if need be but she'd appreciate that he'd step in if she really needed it, even if she feels bad he has to help her to begin with.

Pray for the fool that doesn't back away if Mama's in the picture though, there's no saving them. They'll be resting in peace, soon, at least!

For those of you who are not familiar with how to add a theme to your Tumblr or you would like to preserve your current theme, I give detailed instructions below the read more! I’ve also included some details on the theme in case you need some help!

To add the theme to your Tumblr:

Here’s how to add one of the themes to your Tumblr blog!

You will need to go to your Tumblr and then click the button on the top right that looks like this:

Then you’ll click on this:

The “Edit HTML” link.

Once this opens up you’ll see a page with a ton of code. If you want to save your current theme to use later or return to then tap anywhere inside the code, then on your keyboard press ctrl and a at the same time which will highlight all of the content--then right click on the highlighted content and select “copy” (or tap ctrl and c on your keyboard). Then open up a notepad on your computer and then right click in the blank page and select “paste” (or tap ctrl and v on your keyboard). Be sure to use ONLY notepad--pasting code into word or other document programs can corrupt the code.

Now, you’re going to go back to your theme page, and you’re going to hit backspace (if the content is no longer selected, then ctrl and a again to select it all again). You should have a blank space where the code was now.

Now, just visit the link up there ^^ to pick up the code for the one you want to use on your Tumblr. 

Use -ctrl and a- or drag your cursor to highlight all of the text, then copy it using right click + copy or -ctrl and c-, then return to your theme and paste it into the blank space, using right click + paste or -ctrl and v-...

Now, click “update preview” then “save”.

A few notes:

I purposefully did not add a lot of customizations to this theme so that it would not be hard to use for those who are not experienced at theme customizations.

There are three customizations built into the theme:

Font: There is a dropdown for what font you want to use on your page

Links: There is a toggle which should be on, though you can turn it off if you’d like and do not plan to use links. Under this there are spaces for link titles and urls for your links--be sure to use full url with the http:// part

Music: I have added a music player to the theme which can be completely turned off so it does not appear by using the toggle

A few things to know:

Customizations are tricky in themes and sometimes you will not see the effect of the toggle until you save the page and reload. If you change something and it does not appear to work with the toggles, please toggle it one way, save it, refresh, then retoggle and save--Tumblr is super persnickety!

Other features: Of course, there are a million and one features any given theme can include, but I made this one rather basic. If there’s several people who have a request for features I will consider updating the theme to include them.

Also, the script parts of the theme do not show up in the preview/edit theme pages--but they do show up on the page once you save it. These do not run unless you are outside of the edit interface.

So, this is heartbreak.

He thought the words to himself, staring up at the white ceiling of his bedroom. At six in the morning, alarm clock buzzing, those were the first words that came to his usually foggy mind. No, the pain hit him right after opening his eyes. It made his chest feel heavy and thoughts ever so clear. He let it overtake him, that hurt and burning in his lungs, and laid in the bed solemnly as the alarm fell on deaf ears. His thoughts were too muddled, too concerned with the happenings of last night. His hands remembered the soft feeling of yours as they slid away, leaving his lonely as the truth came out.

Eight months. For eight months, he was spun around your finger.

Of course, he’d known you longer. He pined after you for much longer than that. However, on that day eight months ago when you asked him out, he let his heart be shown bare to you. He allowed himself to become lost in your arms, told you all of what troubled his mind, kissed your lips with most love he could gather. All for it to mean nothing in the end.

He fell in love, quickly, only to realize that he was alone in the feeling.

Arm strewn idle over his head, Ryosuke laughed weakly at himself before reaching over to turn the alarm off. In the corner of his eye, he could see a text illuminated on his phone along with missed calls. He had asked to be excused from work last night, knowing he wouldn’t be able to face the members wth his head held high. Especially not with bloodshot eyes.

I’m in love, he had just told them a few days ago.

They had inquired about why he seemed so cheerful lately, taking in issues that would stress him out much easier. Even his work performance was improving, the pep in his step obvious and paying off. You were so good for him, everyone had thought. It was because of a certain someone, he finally let them in on the secret.

It was both a giddy and vulnerable feeling, saying that he was in a relationship. Before, he had only told Chinen, Daiki, and Keito that he was dating. Now, everyone knew. Or, actually, everyone thought so.

What would he do now when they saw him dragging his feet? He couldn’t face both shame and heartbreak, though he certainly felt both of them already. Around them, it would only be amplified. He couldn’t go in to work today. He simply couldn’t.

They would joke about it anyway.

Eight months wasn’t a long time. He mulled over that fact as he turned in the bed, a lone tear that he hadn’t even realized was there falling onto his pillow. Fast paced relationships weren’t his thing and he’d always considered them trivial, so did most of the other members. Most of them laughed when that AKB48 girl, Ririka Suto, claimed she was marrying a doctor she’d only known for a year. How could you want to marry someone after just a year? How could you love someone after just a year? The concept in itself had been foreign to him.

Now, he knew exactly what she had been feeling.

He had closed himself to dating, so of course the mere thought of such was insane to him. It was always work or a fear of being caught that kept him single. Once you came along, he had only wanted to be with you instead of anyone else. Caution kept him away, the usual of work and fear keeping him at bay. Still, it was you who made that first move. And, in return, Ryosuke threw caution in the wind to be with the person he wanted all along.

Maybe this was karma for laughing.

You told him that it was a publicity stunt, your manager had encouraged you to find a man who would bring you attention. Known as a slightly prudish sweetheart, no one would dare to think you were dating – to which you would confirm. All you had wanted was to get enough people intrigued and jealous, only for them to breathe that sigh of relief when they found the rumors ‘dispelled’. You would claim that everything was a lie, that you were just friends instead. Everything that was so real to him would be brushed away to preserve your own innocence.

“Fuck!” He slammed his fists into the mattress before running them through his hair, already messy and unkempt from sleep. What an idiot he was to never pick up on it. The fact that you would never become too cozy with him in public, even disguised. The most that was spared was a brush of your hands, your fingers tightening around his in their playful way. Just for a second. It was a silent ‘I love you’, he thought. A gesture that he believed affirmed your secret love among prying eyes.

He initiated almost everything. You were shy, the idol thought. You had never dated before, so maybe you were too meek to send him messages frequently. Maybe you were too afraid to talk to him on the phone for too long. Your persona was a socially awkward singer, and that translated into real life as well. You were shy, soft, and a person that he thought to protect from the whole world. As your boyfriend, that was his duty. You made him believe that.

Little did he know, all he had to do was pose for the camera.

“I’m so sorry.”

Your head was held low in a bow as Ryosuke looked on, mouth open as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t find the words. You were crying, even though the one crying should’ve been him. In retrospect, he should’ve felt proud of himself for not crying in front of you. However, in that moment, all he could think of was the truth you were unloading onto him. It was a heavy load, one that would weigh on him in the night and days to come.

It all started over him asking you to meet his family. That was the moment that you broke, your eyes going wide at the notion that you knew meant so much to him.

“My company,” You started, raising your head only to find it hard to meet his gaze. He was concerned, hand reached out to take your own. The skin to skin contact was brief as you gently pulled away, fingers curling up into tight fists as you continued. “They came to me one day and said that I was getting old.” The mere sentence made your voice break. “The concept I have…the sweet, pure, concept was starting to bore people. I wasn’t gaining fans fast enough, so they wanted me to do something about it…They wanted me to find a man to date.” The pause in the air was palpable.

That pause was the sound of his heart crumbling, realizing that no gesture you had ever given him was true. You were such a good actor, making him believe that he was your world in such a short time. Those soft smiles that you gave, the gentle shoves you would give him when sitting together, the reassuring words that would cheer him up when he was down. They were all done out of duty, not affection.

“I’m a liar.” You admitted. “But, that’s my life. I’m paid to make men believe what they want to believe. I guess that includes you too.”

You were his escape while he was just work.

As a man who valued his time away from work and was often overworked, that hurt.

His cheeks were damp as the tears flowed hard and he hated himself for that -- this weakness. Eight months wasn’t a long time. He tried to drill that thought in his mind – tried to talk himself out of heartbreak. It didn’t work. The dam he had held up to preserve his own feelings broke, and he finally just let them out. I loved you. The words ran across his mind over and over, allowing himself to accept his own truth. Yes, this was heartbreak. Yes, he was a fool. He was a foolish man who fell in love with a perpetual liar.

Maybe I’m a liar too, he thought.

His phone buzzed once more. Ryosuke found himself in the same position that he woke up in, face up and eyes to the ceiling. He didn’t know what drove him to pick up the device at first, but when his gaze trailed to the illuminated screen and his breath hitched, he knew why. It was his sixth sense; the heart of a man still in love. The heart of a man who wanted to believe, so badly, that his hard-given love was somehow reciprocated.

I’m sorry. The text read. From you. You’re such a good guy. You deserve the world.

For a moment, his heart hoped where his mind had long given up.

Then, the next text came.

You deserve someone far better than me. I hope you find that person.

The phone was dropped onto the covers, as was his hand onto his chest. His tears ceased, mind clearing as he took in what he assumed would be your last words to him. The corner of his lip turned up in a wry and humorless smile. His chest heaved in a quiet laugh. It was at himself, whom he was laughing at. Ryosuke had allowed his heart, for that second, to believe. It was also in that moment that he realized his own power; the power to weave others around the palm of your finger and simply make them believe.

No one should have that much power.

Okamoto Keito - from Takaki Yuya 10,000 word interview

Tell us about the members recently.

The member I want to feature now is Keito! Because he is super interesting! I have been doing Itadaki High Jump for more than 2 years, but the most interesting episode was during Keito solo episode. This was not my opinion alone, everyone else around me told the same thing too. They say “Okamoto is really interesting”. And after that I somehow could understand Keito’s hardship.

Hardship?

There are things when you are the most junior. Now, I understand why he doesn't like to be made fun of. Recently, we had a talk when both me and Keito went for a shooting together, as I thought there are some parts that made him worried. When the members ask him “Say this in English” to make him involved in a conversation, he complained that no one was laughing although he said that (laugh)

Such situation, sometimes happened isn't?

About that, I think there are area for JUMP’s to improve, and there are also area to be improved by Keito too. If he had any thought he should say it. Like “I want it to be this way”. It doesn't mean that the members dislike Keito, it's just because we do not know what should we do. Well, it might be a problem too when you say whatever comes to your mind just like me (laugh)

Last year, you did a sudden appearance on Okamoto’s radio show didn't you? You even offering your support?

It was unexpected. And exciting. I went with Chinen right? Even though they recorded few recording all together, i only did one recording and went back home. I said “Ok I will go home” (laugh)
