i keep thinking about the brazil vs japan battle in the big bang bladers arc in the manga, and the implications behind a few lines during/after it?

for context, masamune & gingka both get hurt pretty badly so they can't fight, which means technically team japan would've lost, if not for ryuuga ex machina. he battles against argo and beats his ass, and then ian forfeits, so japan moves on to the finale.

however there's some implications in this battle which i doubt were at all intentional, but it's very funny to think about. first of all the fact that ryuuga is there at all. this is the first time we've seen him since battle bladers, but he's there now..

it's funnier when you think about the fact that before the battle only masamune was hurt. the only reason gingka was unable to fight was because he literally got blown up just as the battle was about to start.

so ryuuga was either there by chance, or he came to watch their battle. he wasn't there because there was a need for him to actually intervene, because no one knew that gingka would be unable to battle at that point. he pretends it's because of that, but there's literally no possibility of that being the case. afterwards he turns around and we're supposed to assume he's leaving.

HOWEVER

the next scene we see our heroes in (after a brief team starbreaker + doji intermission), is when they're in the usa. and then masamune asks "hey, where's ryuuga?" and gingka is like "oh you know how he is, he's probably around here somewhere" which implies several things. the first thing it implies is that ryuuga just traveled with them to the usa. because it'd make no sense for masamune to wonder where he is if he left them again in brazil. so either by helicopter or bus or train or ship or how they got there, ryuuga just stayed with them.

and for gingka to boldly claim that masamune knows the way ryuuga is, it implies he has spent a prolonged amount of time around masamune. because masamune wasn't in battle bladers and we have no indication that they knew each other prior. he also implies that ryuuga must still be hanging around (which does later turn out to be true when he confronts gingka before the finale)

so in conclusion, ryuuga just hung around gingka, kenta, & masamune for a bit before leaving again, and he's watching them even afterwards.
