31 Days of Dragon Age!
Day 01- Introduce your Hero of Ferelden
Tumblr media
This is Ashirin Tabris (any pronouns). Aro and Ace. Warrior of the sword/shield variety though they mainly just forgo a shield to only use a single sword. As of DaTv they will be 45 years old, having been 25 at the time of Dao.
Ashirin is a stoic, unemotional person. It is not because they lack emotions, quite the opposite. They just keep a hard brick wall around them, guarding them. Growing up in an alienage, having their (unwanted) wedding day turn into the worst day of their life, and then having to deal with all the Grey Warden nonsense; they're very hardened and refuse to let others see that weakness to use against him.
On particularly hard nights of their journey, you might be able to hear a soft sobbing on the edges of camp. If someone were to bring this up Ashirin would simply act like they don't know what they're talking about despite their clearly red and puffy eyes.
Her closest friends became Alistair, and Sten. Alistair's charm, and lightheartedness helped keep Ashirin's mood up. Or more accurately keeping him from falling into utter despair and giving up completely. Sten on the other hand was a grounding force. Clean, precise, and clear. They butt heads frequently but always came to an understanding; two blunt straightforward people like themselves were bound for conflict but there was respect in that.
She survived Dao, putting Alistair on the throne with Anora since even though she loved him, she felt it was better for her people to have someone she trusted on the throne. They didn't keep in touch much afterwards but write to each other every so often. More him to her than the other way around. Immediately after the events of the game she just wanted to forget everything and cut off all those ties, leaving the past behind her.
Coming years were hard and eventually, she got through all of it and is searching for the cure for the calling, knowing that she's on this countdown that gets closer with each passing day; each passing second. Her life becomes a full-time dedicated search for the cure, she has nothing and no one to tie her down so it becomes her life's purpose.
