Get to know Master K

Hello to whoever reads this! I am K the soon to be artist of this blog! 

I am a bisexual woman (she/her) who has been a Vocaloid fan (and similarly a Gakurin shipper) since 2012. While Vocaloid has been my number one obsession for years I also play Nintendo games, voltage inc. games and watch youtube in my free time. I don’t watch as much anime as I used to, I read a lot of shoujo manga. Can you tell I’m a hopeless romantic? I also consider myself to be very friendly so send me a message if you want to chat! 

Now onto why I like this ship and what I plan to do with the blog! 

GakuRin if you haven’t caught on is the ship name for the Vocaloid's Gakupo Kamui and Rin Kagamine. Now pretty please put your pitchforks aside for a minute and hear what I have to say. When I started listening to vocaloids I quickly felt a close bond with the vocaloids Rin and Len Kagamine, Rin more so than Len. Then soon I started to listen to Gakupo songs and I fell in love with his design a voice. I decided to see if there were any songs between my two favorite Vocaloid’s Rin and Gakupo and hearing those high and low harmonies sealed my fate forever. I listened to songs between the two, saved shippy art of the pair on my phone and computer and read/wrote fan fiction for them. “K I don’t care about your life story! Rin is 14 and Gakupo is probably an adult man!” Yeah Rin has a “canon” age of 14 and Gakupo doesn’t have a canon ages but is assumed to be probably 20 like Kaito and Luka but any true canon in Vocaloid is a slippery slope. For example, Rin and Len are in canon considered mirrored images of each other. They are not explicitly made twins so that people could either view them as siblings or lovers. And Vocaloid’s get aged up and down for songs it’s just a norm so for Vocaloid where canon age never matters (also Gakupo doesn’t have a canon age so he can be the worlds tallest 12 year old for all I care) that is why I don’t feel as weird shipping it and even found myself projecting on Rin a bit as an adult that’s barely 5 feet tall and has a baby face. So yeah this is my trash ship and this is the only attempt I will make to defend it. Feel free to tell me why I’m a p*dophile apologist or whatever in the ask box once I open it I’m down for discussions. 

So with my rant out of the way the story behind this blog is that Rin and Gakupo aren’t real people, they are computer programs responding to questions in a digital space so their age corresponds to how long the program has existed not the ages Crypton or fans have given them. I do want to draw a slightly older looking Rin however just to make myself feel a little less weird about this whole thing, also Rin with long hair is cute. If this all just sounds likea convoluted way for me to justify having shit taste than just don’t follow this blog.
