¿cómo es que una indie termina escuchando BTS? pt.2 en mi caso se dió de una forma muy indie, porque tras años mirando de lejos todo y tras dar la chance vía Dynamite y BE, finalmente caí con el Tiny Desk ❤️ soy fan de hace muchos años de los Tiny Desk, donde mis bandas indies iban a mostrarse de una forma muy acústica pero entretenida y amaba el formato. Soy fan de la @npr y @nprmusic porque ahí siempre pude descubrir mucha música nueva y distinta que me conquistaba los oídos, escuchar discos antes de sus lanzamientos y hasta revisar talentos nuevos en sus concursos. Podría hacer perfectamente un Top 10 de Tiny Desk favoritos y me sorprendió mucho mucho ver a los BTS ahí. Supongo que el prejuicio que traía con ellos era grande, pero esa vez los pude escuchar con banda en vivo (una delicia) y sobre todo, escuchar por primera vez canciones como Save Me o Spring Day, las cuales me hicieron mucho sentido en pandemia. Cómo tengo la costumbre de ver Tiny Desk con regularidad, empecé a verlos con regularidad, empecé a reconocerlos (el parcito de las esquinas se puede quedar quieto un rato plis? 😝) y sobre todo, empecé a hacerme la pregunta de cómo se llamaba ese chico que cantaba tan lindo, la pregunta que finalmente al contestarse me cambió la vida 🖤💜 Fue ahí que me di cuenta que realmente me gustaban, eran buenos y quería conocerlos más. De eso, ya van dos años. Y de esta cuenta, ya va el primer aniversario. Last year around mid-month I came upon a book called "On Earth, We Are Briefly Beautiful" by Ocean Vuong. This wonderfully expressed book is narrated in the style of letters to his mother. Thereupon, in one of his letters, he mentions - "Is that what art is? To be touched thinking what we feel is ours when, in the end, it was someone else, in longing, who finds us?" I feel the same way about Indigo, the album that was released last year in December. It could've just been a studio album, but he turned it into visual art as well... Though he mentions it as the last archives of his twenties, strangely, it reflected my life, thoughts, and feelings. It happens (concerning me) that a dance or an album or any form of art comes along and you are in sync with the emotions, that turbulence that it portrays in a manner that provides you comfort in a way you couldn't have imagined it would. Right then and there your life as it was is completely transformed and you carry that with you throughout your journey. I have been traveling and healing and meeting new people. At the same time, I am carrying this art form with me everywhere... I am an admirer of art and this has my soul in it. Have I healed, who knows, but I find comfort in this. Thank you @magicshopindia for delivering this to me. I know it took a very long time. And, currently, I am taking a break from city life (a part of healing), reaching to me a remote village where I am serving my time is not easy, so thank you for all the effort Thank you @RM for the music.
