Preorders Open!

Hello all! 

We are pleased to announce that preorders are finally open for this zine! We have two options for purchase: the digital copy and the physical copy. Schedule Update!

Hey everyone! A few of you have reached out with questions regarding the schedule, now that it’s past what was stated in the last update. Mod Suzannah and Mod Jay have been all kinds of busy with some unexpected things, but since it’s calmed down we have more time to devote to the project now. Here’s the new dates: Preorders open: September 1, 2019 Preorders close: September 30, 2019

Once we get all the preorders we’ll have to evaluate what more time we’ll need for printing etc. but we should be mailing them somewhere in the ballpark of late October. Just in time for Halloween! 

If you have not sent in your submission, please do so as quickly as possible! We only have this last little bit of wiggle room before preorders open to organize everyone’s pieces. If anyone has any questions, please send them to beetlejuicezine@gmail.com and we will answer as promptly as possible, though our time will still be limited until the last week or so of August. We thank you all for your continued patience and hope this clears some things up!

Big Update!

We've set some fresh dates, so put them in your calendars:

Check In #3 - June 16, 2019 Final Submissions Due - June 30, 2019 Preorders Open - July 1, 2019 Preorders Close - July 31, 2019

We know what you're thinking-- that's an awful big stretch of time! And you'd be right. We're doing this based on the availability of the mods-- both of us will have more time to organize during the summer. We don't want to cut short the time you all would be able to use if we don't have to, and since we can't work on this consistently until then, we want to offer this time in case you're all still working. Be aware that you shouldn't feel pressured to work if you feel your piece is done and we have no critique for it, we just want to give the time if it's desired.

Progress Check 1!

Hello everyone! Reminder that today we would like to see progress updates for contributor pieces. You don’t need anything more than a rough idea or sketch of your pieces, we just want to see where you’re all at (we’re very excited!). Work Specifications

Formats have been finalized! SO sorry for the delay For art please make them 8.5×11 inches, and for right now don't worry about the coloration. We don't need CYMK.  For writing, please limit your work to 4 8.5×11 pages, single spaced.

Reminder that the first check is on the 22nd of February. At this point, you don’t need to have anything more than a vague sketch or idea, we just want to see where you’re all at.  Stay strange and unusual!

Important Updates!

Hello all juice and beetle enthusiasts! Please take a moment to check the updated schedule on our page! We have made significant changes to it in order to streamline the process of making this zine. 

Now that Mod Jay and Mod Suzannah are both in the same zipcode again, planning and organizing this will be much easier. We apologize for any difficulty in contacting us or confusion regarding deadlines, but we promise we will be better!

Some Slight Delays

Hey everyone! Sorry for being in such poor contact in the past few weeks, I promise this zine is still very much a project that will be happening! The mod team has been out of touch over winter break, but now we both have regular schedules again so we’ll be able to dedicate more time to this project, and more consistently. 

We’re going to try to announce contributors and update the schedule within the next week or so, thank you everyone for being patient with us. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Due to finals absolutely cucking the mods, our acceptance emails have been and will continue to be delayed for a little while. Hopefully the emails will be sent within the next two weeks, but if not then we will definitely finish by the end of the year. Sorry again for the delay, we didn’t consider our school work load when planning this zine’s schedule. Thank you all for your patience!

Updates!

Hello fellow Beetlejuice enthusiasts! We’d like to inform you all that we’ve made some decisions about how this zine will be made.

Due to concerns about copyright etc, we’ve decided to make this a free PDF zine. This means that we will not be making merch to go with this zine.  We also are moving the contributor announcement date to the 10th of December.  Any other changes will be posted promptly. Cheers everyone!  -Mod Jay

It took us a bit of time to close applications but they’re actually closed officially now, lol. Thank you all so much for your apps, we’ll look through them and develop a contributors list as soon as possible.
