Yoongi was fretting. He knew he was but it was all that he could do to stop overthinking all that could possibly go wrong. He’d hurt Jungkook and would continue to hurt Jungkook. Tonight Yoongi would lay out his feelings and insecurities and watch as Jungkook gently turned him down and their friendship was irreparably damaged. 

Hoseok seemed to think it’d go well. Hoseok always seemed overly hopeful about his relationship with Jungkook. 

Hoseok was wrong though.

Jungkook didn’t like him back. Couldn’t like him back. Jungkook would be too kind to explicitly say that Yoongi’s crush made him uncomfortable and they’d slowly drift apart because Jungkook would stop initiating things. The friend group would fracture as people choose who they liked hanging out with more. All because Yoongi caught stupid feelings. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. 

“Hyung! I’m here!” Jungkook was entering slowly, taking off his shoes and jacket. He looked apprehensive and shy, especially as Yoongi looked at him like a deer in the headlights. 

They should have met at a cafe or something. Some sort of neutral place. But Yoongi was a coward who needed the comfort of his home to share all this. 

“Come sit down! I made you some tea.” Yoongi said, guiding Jungkook to the couch and handing him some tea. 

“You look nervous, hyung. Would you like to hold hands?” Jungkook. Oh sweet Jungkook. 

Yoongi nodded, but let Jungkook initiate, his hand a limp mass that Jungkook rubbed comforting circles into. The warmth of Jungkook’s hand was something Yoongi would savor for as long as he could. 

“So as I said… this distance is all because of me.” 

Jungkook nodded. 

*Gotta pull the bandaid off*

“It’s because I like you r-romantically and I don’t want it to affect our relationship or change the friend group. It is also because I’m shit at tough and emotional conversations and even when we are just discussing changing boundaries, I get so overwhelmed. It’s why I don’t date tons. Because it’s just so hard and tiring to share changes and I didn’t want to put that emotional labor on you. You don’t deserve it… but also I don’t expect you to return these feelings. Actually I am so sure that you’ll grow distant after hearing this but I had to share. I couldn’t let you think that you were the cause of this distance. It is me and my stupid stupid feelings. Stupid old me who needed some distance to not fall deeper for you. I know it’s so stupid and I am so sorr--”

Jungkook was wrapping his arms around Yoongi, holding him tightly to his (big) chest.

“This has clearly been stressing you out a ton.” Jungkook finally said, loosening his hold on Yoongi. Yoongi didn’t leave from where he was though, enjoying Jungkook’s warmth. 

“I get if you don’t want to be friends anymore.” 

Jungkook started laughing, his voice floating around Yoongi, “Hyung. I’ve had a crush on you since you first started complaining about capitalism. I kept on thinking about how smart and cool you are. And when you play piano? Or work out? You get so into it and so focused and I just love it so much. If I don’t want to be friends anymore it’s because I want to be boyfriends.” 

“Oh.” 

Yoongi slowly wrapped his arms around Jungkook.

“We will need to figure out how to chat about boundaries though.” 

“I… I think I could do that.” Yoongi nodded, pressing his face into Jungkook’s shoulder. 

“We will do it together.” 

“Together.”

it is possible for mc/yongsun to have a more normalish/healthy relationship, but that depends on mc's actions and the way they relate to yongsun!! it'll be explored more in their route ;)

a/n. this is my second taejin fic! i cannot believe that i am finally able to share this with you! i hope you enjoy this story as it unfolds. i wrote this for the taejin: bottom seokjin fest on ao3.

Seven o’clock on the dot, Seokjin looks at his phone and sees that the screen is black. There’s no text message or call that he missed. Standing in the kitchen washing dishes, Seokjin hums to himself as he forces his mind to stop creating worst case scenarios. Time is a flexible concept, having a full time job himself, Seokjin understands that. Meetings run late, traffic backs up and phones die all the time. 

An anniversary is nothing to a clock, just another day like the one before. Today would be like any other to Seokjin but this is their anniversary. Seokjin isn’t one to be self absorbed but it’s a pretty deal for him. Two years. It’s been two years since he allowed himself to go out of his comfort zone and let the cute younger typewriter as his job take him on a date. Honestly, the date was a disaster. Nothing went as planned but Seokjin was so endeared by the guy’s unwillingness to give up that he stayed until the end.

It was the best decision of his life. His boyfriend is the love of his life. Kim Taehyung is everything and more to Seokjin. Taehyung treats him like he is God’s gift to Earth, he cooks, cleans, listens and the sex? Seokjin’s cheeks heat up just thinking about the two of them in bed. Taehyung remembers the tiniest details that Seokjin shares with him, he even knows that Seokjin prefers to sleep on his left side because any other way makes his stomach hurt in the morning. Taehyung started to sleep on his back, so that Seokjin could cuddle up on his chest while being wrapped in his arms. A true gentleman, just an overall great guy. 

Seokjin glances at his phone once again, it’s seven thirty and still no word from Taehyung. Done with the dishes, Seokjin goes about cleaning up the kitchen. The food he cooked sits on the stove top, keeping warm and fresh. He made chicken and prawn dumplings, sweet and spicy baby octopus with cold sesame noodles, a few smaller side dishes and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. Tonight’s dinner is special, Seokjin put his whole heart into each bite and he knows that Taehyung will love it.

As Seokjin tidies up around the apartment, he pauses as he passes by the mirror in the entrance way. He looks good, if he does say so himself. He found a white crushed velvet oversized t-shirt with long sleeves in the very back of his closet. He is pretty sure that it was from a Halloween costume but for tonight it works just fine. He chose to tuck the front of the shirt into a pair of the tightest black pair of jeans he owns and leave the back out to fall around him. He feels magical, very seductive. The urge to run to his typewriter and start working on a new story hits, but Seokjin ignores it. 

He hurries to the living room and digs around in one of the end stand tables until he finds one of his million notebooks. Pulling the pen from the spiral binding, Seokjin quickly scribbles down his idea and giggles to himself. A vampire romance would be fun to write. Setting the notebook back in the drawer, Seokjin bites his bottom lip as he sees the time on the clock. It’s a little after eight and the phone in his pocket hasn’t buzzed with a single notification. He is starting to worry. Taking the phone from his back pocket, Seokjin pulls up Taehyung’s contact and looks at the picture he has saved. 

It’s nothing crazy, just Taehyung from a few months ago. He had just gotten his hair cut, he wanted to try something different and went with an undercut while dying his brown hair a bright blonde. It is a color that Seokjin didn’t know he liked but he liked it a lot on Taehyung. Pressing the call button Seokjin puts the phone on speaker and he’s surprised to hear it not ring. A robotic voice answers stating that Taehyung’s phone is no longer in service.

The red strings seemed all the more present to Hoseok today. They were screaming for his attention, for him to try to help detangle them, for him to do anything to shorten the distance between their ends. It was all in his mind though. The strings were no more vibrant or present than before… It was probably just because Yoongi said he finally got together with Jungkook. It was a teary call and undoubtedly that is why Hoseok is thinking about them more. 

It has no connection to you sitting next to him, leaning against his arm as you read your book. The library was becoming “our place” in Hoseok’s mind, associating it with you and your laughter. It was a problem. You didn’t see him that way. Sure you were a bit touchier and friendlier since Hoseok was attacked by that lamb. 

The two of you weren’t even alone in the library today. Jieun decided to join today, claiming it had the manga they wanted to read… but they were just watching you all curled up against Hoseok’s side and eyeing Hoseok as if he was doing something wrong. 

If enjoying your crush leaning against you was a crime… Hoseok was 100% a criminal. 

Hoseok sighed when you got up to use the restroom, watching you go off and worrying about what Jieun might say. They quickly got close, their bag falling in their rush. 

“Is it ok if I curl up against you?” 

Hoseok scrunched his nose together in disgust, “No.” 

“Why do you let Y/n then?” He opened his mouth, “And don’t even claim it’s because you’re closer to them! We’ve known each other since we were in diapers and have been close for most of the time since. We even shared beds before!” 

Hoseok sighed, “Look. I know that I need to set some boundaries between Y/n and I… I just… I’ve not felt this way about someone before. Every time I think of a reason to set a boundary, I find a reason to wait.” 

Jieun sighed, “Good thing you’re not using the excuse of them initiating it to not put a stop to this.” 

Hoseok laughed and they pushed him, “I know you’re looking out for me.”

“Damn right. I don’t want to see you hurt.” 

“Thank you.” 

“Why would Hobi be hurt?” You asked, looking between Jieun and him with a questioning glance. 

“Oh! Our Hobi has a crush on someone! They don’t like him back and I am just trying to make sure this guy,” Jieun punches Hoseok’s shoulder, “protects his heart.”

“Oh. How could someone not like you back! You’re a catch!” You said, looking intently at your book as you settled back down, a meter of distance between you now. 

Hoseok shrugged, “Thank you.” 

He wanted to curse Jieun out for creating this distance between you and him… but he knew it was for the best. You didn’t like him. This red string was a fated thing that Hoseok didn’t understand fully but it seemed that for Hoseok, he’d be cursed to live with unrequited love. He’d happily do it though. If his relationship with you is only friendship and he watches from the sidelines as you get love that you deserve, he will be happy.

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for a long-term kpop roleplay partner. I'll try to keep this as short as possible...we can discuss the details later.

Most importantly, I am 21 years old, so you have to be 18 at the minimum. I will NOT play with minors under any circumstances.

My writing style is 3rd person past tense (though I can do present tense as well). I'd say I'm somewhere between semi literate and literate depending on how the roleplay is going. I don't like replies that are just one sentence but due to work and just life in general, I also can't write 5 paragraphs for each reply. So, anything in between that is fine for me.

I work an 8 to 5 job, but I always try to reply at least once a day. On weekends, I can manage a few more replies usually. If I'll be absent for a couple of days, I'll let you know and I'd appreciate if you could do the same.

As for plots, I'm open for pretty much anything. The only thing I really don't like is alpha/beta/omega dynamics. I have a strong preference for dark plots with lots of hurt/comfort and angst mixed with fluff, so it would be awesome if you would share that sentiment. We can talk about our limits, of course, and I will respect your boundaries if we end up as partners. You should be able to handle smut, though.

First things first, no OCs. I've just had bad experiences with them before.

Mxm preferred. My favorite ships are taekook, jikook, vmin, but I could go with any tbh.

I tend to write between 1-4 decent sized paragraphs but I can definitely exceed it if I'm into the plot. It also helps when there's effort and details put into your replies! No one liners or anything close to it.

I have a few plots in my drafts but also willing to hear any of yours as I'm starting to run out of my own ideas. I'm a sucker for a good mix of drama, angst and fluff. While I do love fluff, it gets boring after a while if it's all sunshine and rainbows. Im also okay with darker topics!
