Everything aside, the current state of bsd manga is absolutely hilarious from the point of view of Akutagawa specifically. You have no idea who you are or where you came from, only that you must guard those people you don't know against the evil spirits™. You get your ass handed to you by said evil spirits™ in the span of one chapter. You are currently alternating between getting punched, thrown, impaled, hung by the head, and stabbed. There is a guy next to you experiencing ten mental breakdowns all at once. The other guy you are supposed to fight against is half blabbering metaphysics nonsense, half talking about how much he loved spending time with another guy. You have been alive for a total of maybe two hours

Damn so like its just...im thinking what if ya'know what if atsushi having all this hallucinations or this imaginary visions was because byakko was actually talking to him?? I may be crazy but you know??? Like??? There is a possibility because she can't actually talk to him so instead she talks to him like this in the form of people he trust or in the case of the headmaster well its more like hes psychology damage fucked up a little bit you know? Or well since he(/the tiger) is the bookmark, as fyodor said, the book is like somehow talking to him?? Because you know its been mark in the middle page (like some theory out there that said 'the book' was actually the bsd book) and that since its been like monthly release its been pause?? And to pause is we need book marks! thats where the tiger or atsushi shows up! And idk its just shows him some pointer or some leads that heads to his desired(?) ending???

Or well could be his just hallucination. Idk i could be wrong(most probably)

BSD Chapter 121 Theory

Chapter 121 spoilers ahead

So I have a theory about who the Dazai in Atsushi's mind is. Dazai isn't the first person Atsushi has hallucinated about, the first person was the orphanage director. And what did the orphanage director used to do in his hallucinations? He used to give Atsushi advice. But at least from memory it's been a while since Atsushi hallucinated him. Instead he's started hallucinating Dazai. And what does Dazai do in his hallucinations? Also give him advice. So my theory is that hallucination Dazai is an evolved version of hallucination orphanage director and perhaps this is a sign that Atsushi has renounced the orphanage director and accepted Dazai as his mentor in his stead.

imagine a fyolai art: fyodor behind nikolai (to make it easier let's imagine kolya sitting and fedya standing behind him). Fyodor is holding Nikolai's eyepatch thing (? I forgot what its called) which is broken in half, while Nikolai holds Fyodor's arms

what tf does this mean, you may ask. well!

(ch 121 spoilers) we saw fyodor tear the page, but there is a popular theory that it wasn't actually the book page, so we can say that the act was a farce. when we see fyodor doing the same here, its showing how nikolai's attempt at freedom (by killing fyodor back in Meursalt) was nothing but a farce (planned out by fyodor).

now, why would Nikolai be holding Fyodor's arms, you may ask. well, I imagine kolya holding them in the way a prisoner holds the bars to their cage. this is pretty self explanatory with reference to the fyolai dynamic

so I imagine fyodor serving face and Nikolai looking... Well. Uneasy. His eyepatch, which he used as an on switch for his fake persona, is broken; so showing himself in his entirety would be odd to him naturally.

Apparently it's been mentioned that the Book is indestructible. Betting this is yet another Fake "Death", he just tore up a random ass piece of paper to torment atsushi, considering his goal was to make atsu hopeless.

Though this does remind me. when Ranpo was proving the Agency weren't terrorists, there was an image of a page starting to tear when police figures started to realize. Though, that was because he was legit rewriting what was already written. But that does also make me wonder if the page is actually indestructible, or if that was just symbolic imagery.

The page tearing to symbolize hope and control over their own fates, and then the page tearing to symbolize losing hope and everyone's fates being near-sealed...

I'm getting Beast Dazai flashbacks.

Also, in Beast Akutagawa says that Beast Atsushi's ability feeds on fear and atonement.

It's interesting how Dazai and whoever hallucination Dazai in ch 121 is, both use fear to get Atsushi to act.
