what kind of brushes do you use for your digital work?

Hi! Firstly I work Mainly in Procreate so I will just talk about those brushes.

There I use a bit of everything!

So I love the defaults brushes procreate has and use them a LOT. Especially the 6B Sketching pen and the inking dry pen! (Default Chalk brush in Calligraphy and Bonobo Chalk Brush in Sketching as well!) Then for more texture I use a lot of brushes from @maxulichney Gouache and Watercolor Max pack! oh! And I recently too started using some brushes From Olguioo! https://olguioo.carrd.co/ And of course I have a few brushes I made myself that are always good.

But really I recommend playing around with brush sets and packs one at a time. Its easy to get overwhelmed by brushed and what they can do believe me! Start by trying to narrow down what kind of effect you are looking for in your art! Its is for lines? is it texture? is it blending? then you can experiment and find the right brush you need! All in all I use mostly maybe 6 to 10 brushes for 99% of my work. And I have maybe 100 (150?) on my ipad.

Just find the ones that work for you!:)

My brushes are SOOO messy, I have so many brushes for like lining, I go with what I��m feeling that day but I pretty much have 4 main ones

Narinder Pencil is from Procreate, Wet Sketcher I got years ago when someone posted their brushes for free, Beloved and Round Brush were some default brushes I edited so so so much, I’ll upload my brushes here! This was a file I shared to my brother when he first got procreate and asked what brushes I use. Mostly though I just use Beloved, it's my comfort brush.

Other really good sets that I have downloaded which I use on occasion are:

Starter Olguioo Pack Vol. 2 (Marker Liner for sketching is so good)

Fish's Brush Set (Lining brush my beloved, also their amogus brush is genuinely really good)

Jingsketch Brushes, Emilyamiao brushes

uhh hi ! sorry to bother you, what brushes do you use? im sorry if this has already been answered lol.

Don't worry about it!! I actually haven't been asked this before so you're all good! To answer your question, I only work on Procreate right now so my brushes are exclusive to Procreate. When I do work in CSP I do my best to find brushes that mimic the same feel but so far I haven't had the time to do that, so I can't recommend any from there at the moment. For sketching, I use this 6B pencil from Olguioo's starter brush pack

this brush set is free and has a lot of nice brushes, I use the fountain pen brush in the same set for my more 'manga' drawings.

For paintings, I use both the wet and soft brush from HAEYOON's Portrait brush set. This one is not for free. Its 12 dollars (usd) so its a bit of a steep price imo but i use it in every art. I use 'wet' for more precision painting and soft for color fill or for bigger areas.

From the same set, I use the soft blend brush for the smudge tool/blending. The flower petals in this art was done with the oil brush of this set to try and mimic some classical paintings but that needs a little more practice. :B
