you never thought of the idea of being with a ceo from a company you’ve never even heard of but here we are. you remember the news so vividly like a fever dream. your social media was flooded with the article of you dating lee jeno, the ceo of neo corp.

you remember the day your manager suddenly broke the news to you about needing to date someone to save their company. needless to say, you were having none of that.

“excuse me- what?” you shrieked, dropping your shopping bags in shock. your manager winces at your voice. “i knew you’d react like this..” he murmurs, “but you have to. for the sake of their company please?” your manager pleads. “when can i meet this person?” you sigh, giving in. your manager smiles, “tomorrow at 12 pm sharp”

fast forward to the next day, you were dreadful as ever. your manager even told you to dress up nicely making you hate this situation even more. as you two arrive in the restaurant your manager set up, you looked around for any possible people that could be your fake boyfriend.

“over there at the corner” your manager points to a young man sitting alone. you took a glance at him and noticed he was actually good looking. the sharp features on his face like he was sculpted by the greek gods. he was breathtaking.  

“earth to y/n” your manager waves his hand over your face. “what” you blurt. “let’s go” he drags you to the table where the man you were staring at was sitting.

as you reached the table, the boy was much more handsome up close. the boy suddenly stands up and greets you with a bow. “hello, you must be y/n right? i’m lee jeno” he smiles, “huge fan of your work by the way” he adds. you smile back at jeno. “yes i am. nice to meet you” you shake his hand. 

“can we please get this over with? i still have to meet with someone after this” you tell your manager. your manager snaps out of his trance and tells the waiter for the menus. “yes of course” he ushers, sitting down and looking for something to eat. jeno on the other hand, was kind enough to pull your chair back so you can sit. “thank you” you tell jeno, who was now seated on his seat. 

“so let me get this straight” you start, “you want me to date you as PR to save your dying company?” you summarized the entire talk between you, your manager and jeno. jeno winces slightly at your choice of words but nods nevertheless. “it’s okay if you don’t want to, i’m sorry if I wasted your time” jeno scratches his neck out of habit, worried that you’d reject the offer. 

feeling a sense of pity, you reluctantly agree. “no” you shake your head, “i’ll do it” you affirm, shocking both your manager and jeno. “wha-” your manager splutters, “thank you! thank you so much for helping me and my company. I swear after this is over, you’ll never hear from me again” jeno excitedly reaches over and shakes your hand.

months into the fake relationship with jeno, you’re almost certain you wanted to rip his hair out but at the same time, you don’t want to. not only you had to move from your cozy apartment to his crazy suite penthouse in one of the most expensive condo complexes in seoul. 

turns out his gentleman persona is only for the public eye and you had to learn that the hard way. when you would arrive at your new temporary house, the place was a mess. pizza boxes everywhere and almost every other night 5 people would come over and play games with him. 

thankfully though, you stayed in his spare bedroom that no one uses so basically you didn’t have to face jeno everyday till hours up to no end. only sometimes you have to evacuate and go back to your place in secret cause his friends are staying over. 

you’ve learned a lot about jeno during the past few months of being ‘together’ with him. you found out that he didn’t actually want to be the ceo after his father’s company but he wanted to be an architect instead. so as revenge, he didn’t take his now company seriously which is why you were in this situation. 

currently there was a blackout happening all over in jeno’s neighborhood over some disrupted lines. so you were chilling in his living room scrolling through your socials to pass some time in peace before jeno comes running in with his pajamas. 

“did you hack into my hotspot?” he immediately goes straight to the point making you furrow your eyebrows. “what are you talking about? i’m using my own” you showed him your phone. jeno grumbles and runs a hand over his untamed hair. “fuck, i think i forgot to pay my phone bill..” he utters the last part making you burst out laughing.

“please stop laughing” jeno pouts, standing like an anime girl unironically. making you laugh even more. “i’m sorry if i say this but it’s just so hard not to fall in love with you.” you blurt out, holding your stomach from laughing too much. jeno freezes at your words. “f-fall in love with me?” jeno stutters, pointing to himself.

you nod your head yes, smiling at the boy. “welp, there goes my secret. i have a secret crush on you” you snickered as you watched jeno’s face slowly turn red.
