kagami lets out a burst of laughter, "yeah, i guess i do! any kinda nugget." but it all comes at a great cost, and now he's listing nuggets off in his head. firstly, by different sources, then by which is best. his smile fades. his stomach rumbles. he'll sling his arm around her shoulders temporarily before leading them into the direction of a nearby maji's. "i'm hungry and it's your fault, so you gotta take responsibility and get me some chicken nuggets." by some, he does mean fifty.

          “Yuuuuuuuuukiiiiiii—!!” 

          You’d think he had a magnet for a heart, the way he immediately reaches for her, arms and hands outstretched in waiting. He’s a greedy thing, taking both of her hands in his as if one is not enough. ( But it isn’t ! He always wants to be close, close, close ! ) The grin on his lips speaks of his delight as he swings their hands between them, fingers interlocked with Joey having no intention of letting go anytime soon. 

          “I was wondering when I’d see you today.” Doesn’t he always? Class is awfully lonely when she’s not in it, and sometimes it’s better to daydream about what she’s up to than pay attention to the lesson. 

          “Wanna go get crepes? There’s this new shop I’ve been wanting to take you. Does that sound good, Yuuuuki?” 

          Her name is but a song on his tongue, and his heart sings along with it. Maybe it’s about time he starts listening.

“ ‘m fine, yuki. ” he is not, how many days of sleep has he missed now ? he can’t remember. things are blurry but he’s got things to finish first. sleep can always later when he catches up on everything. plans made, lectures decided, games watched and analyzed. a palm comes up to press into his left eye , rubbing harshly. it doesn’t help - just makes his vision even more spotty than before. “ i just need more coffee -- do y’think that place is open down the street ? ”

a demonic prince approaches howl at kagami’s halloween party, noticing that she was stood by herself. kise recognises her from a couple of games, always sat near the front, he believes she’s rooting for seirin. there’s something-- powerful about her. like she’s not just a groupie, and she’s quite comfortable standing here in kagami’s house. in fact, he’d seen them standing awfully close earlier! whispering, looking around the room... ah, enough detective work, his brain is tired. he gives her a friendly smile, hands in his pockets.

“hi, i’m kise ryota,” he glances over at a loud redhead as he threatens aomine over something. “i’ve seen you at a few of kurokocchi and kagamicchi’s games, are you...” his brows furrow slightly, looking at her. she’s got white hair, sure, but doesn’t she... maybe look... a little like kuroko? his own amber eyes widen. “are you perhaps a sibling of kurokocchi’s?” maybe that was bold... oh well!

Without delay Yuu leaps to his feet, practically bouncing from foot to foot as he darts over to where Yuki has all her Halloween decorations spread out upon the coffee table. Halloween was awesome and absolutely one of his favourite holidays-- what wasn’t there to like about it? Candy, spooky scares, and costumes? It was just the shame that it only lasted one day, imagine if Halloween lasted for a whole week! Now that would be fucking awesome!

Yuu’s hands dive into the pile, fishing out a couple of plastic bats that bounce upon their nylon strings, a big grin plastered across his face. “Do you think we could put these up in the door? Set them up so that when people open it they fly into their face? We have to prank Kagami like that once, come on, Yuki, please-”

he hasn't eaten -- as usual, yuki is correct. but he's beeen studying for his midterms and he just knows that he's going to fail. he's been sitting at this table for nearly seven hours trying to study but something keeps distracting him. that guy with the long hair that walking in / that couple in the corner that studies together and places a kiss on each other's lip after they get an answer together / the words in his text swimming together making it unreadable to him if he stares at it for more than three minutes. yuki speaks, and he once again diverts attention from text to her, chewing on his bottom lip before he sighs. " i'm trying to study, " he gestures at his books. " it's not going very well. " he says softly / embarrassed. ( and while he wouldn't tell this to just anyone / yuki is different. she's stood up to his brother before. ) " i know i know this stuff - but nothing is making sense to me now. "

yuki, jokingly: oh yeah i'd /definitely/ leave them, wouldn't want to be seen walking around with them even. all the while she's like helping him peel potatoes or wtv and rolling her eyes.

“WAHHHH?” kagami straightens up again, miserable! “don’t say it so casually like that! what if he’s--” he returns to whisper, “what if he’s just too much of an idiot to have thought of that? so keep your voice down.”

Eerie calm enveloped her entirety; goosebumps prickling up the length of her arms as she paced forward. It's dark. Shards of moonlight peeked through the gaps between the trees, casting deep shadows along the longwinded path ahead. Shortcuts were rarely without their consequences, but given the alternative, the benefits far outweighed the potential for something to go awry. And as many times as she'd trekked through these woodlands, she couldn't shake the inching suspicion that something else beyond the little critters of the night lurked about. Teal hues narrowed towards the distance, pace slowed to a halt and a non-committal sound slipping past her sealed lips. "   I don't see anything. But I just get this feeling ...    " A sigh, arms folded across her chest as she runs through her options. Give in to her natural curiosity and determine the cause of her apprehension or barrel forward without caution? She shifts from heel to heel, nose scrunched up in thought just before she decides both were reasonable options. Plummet through whatever is causing this unsettling feeling within her guts and egg it on! If danger was skulking about, they may as well just get on with the show. A hand cups over her mouth, a deep inhale before she calls out with a loud echo, "   Hey! If someone is out there you better come out now. I don't do well with surprises. " She waits, but all that greets her back is silence. Ah, well, it was worth the shot. She begins to pace ahead again when a nearby shadow sways in her peripheral. It's faint — she'd nearly missed it, but it was there. Someone was there. Bingo! She spins on her heel to face the disturbance, digits shifting to find the hilt of her blade, only to find a young woman, perched against a tree. " Oh. " Lashes flutter as she makes sense of the scene before her. The pallor to her skin and ominous presence were strong indicators for who — or rather, what  had been before her. And while it was true that Ryu lacked a sense of smell for identifying them, she couldn't of been that far off, right? The pads of her fingers smooth over the textured hilt, tentatively curling around it as she approaches.

"...Hello? "

It rolls off her tongue in evident confusion, pale brows knitting together as she leans in closer. It was a strange stillness around the other. Perhaps this was preparation for a sinister plot against the Slayer, but .. strangely enough, she sensed no ill will. And despite better judgment faintly yelling over her shoulder to stay her ground, she releases her hold against her blade and crouches down from a short distance. Those who bore no malice towards her would be treated in kind until she'd properly gauged the situation. At least, that's what she strived to do. The sentiment was often met with frustration because it often meant making herself vulnerable and giving advantage to those around her. But she'd take the lecture if it meant following through with what she believed to be right. The sound of the other's voice pulls her from her thoughts, a sheepish smile working its way across her lips. Now, what did that mean? She cranes her head to the side, holding her chin between her thumb and forefinger. In the town just off the skirts of the forest, the town had held a festival. " What .. what does that mean? Are you talking about the festival in the nearby town? I didn't know it was audible this far out  ..  " Ah, she's not sure if she should be concerned about it, but she will graciously offer an ear before jumping to conclusions.

          Cookies? Pumpkin cookies made by Yuki herself? Being able to try any of the snacks she makes is a treat in and of itself. Cass is usually the type to swipe a few from Klaus’ lunch now and again or bribe Joey for one, so to be offered some directly — the elation blooms in his chest, warm and happiness intermingled. 

          “Yes !” He makes no effort to disguise his joy, not in the slightest bit. Prized hands reach for one of the delicate cookies, and a moment is spent admiring the work ( he owed it to her ! ) before he bites half of it clean off. The hum that follows speaks to how delicious it is. 

          “Yuki !” He speaks around the bit still in his mouth and swallows before devouring the rest of the cookie too. Halloween could be every day of the year if it meant he could indulge on these ( and enjoy the dead and go to haunted houses, but that’s besides the point ). 

          “They’re delicious ! Can I have another one? Wait, no — Can I get like 30 more ? But only for me ! I don’t feel like sharing — !!”

18. WHAT’S THE ONE THING YOU WANT TO TRY MOST ON YOUR BLOG?

For real tho, I’m pretty happy with how things have been going for this blog. I guess I’d love to try doing more threads focused on Katyae’s original canon but eh, I can focus on that in the BG just as well. I have a lot of little drabblets on Google Docs that I’ve been writing about Katyae and the canon she’s built around. Little snippets of Ravanna, Caelys & James, Caesyl, Vaeryn, etc.  idk I’d love to try writing the NPC sometimes in threads too, but Katyae will always be the main focus on this blog. 

30. OTHER THAN ROLEPLAYING, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOBBY?

Anything to do with art. Painting, drawing, crafting, I just love being artsy. It keeps me sane.

Other than that, I’m also super fond of GARDENING! I’ve got so many flowers in the backyard that I love to nurture and keep care of. Gotta trim up the daisy bushes soon and finally cut down the dead stalks of my sunflowers. :) Me and my mom even started garden boxes this year for vegies and we’ve got sweet peppers, tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, garden beans, & bidwell melons growing rn. We also have a miniature grape and lime tree.
