Both Alejandro and Heather are cat persons. I imagine, that Alejandro just shows up one day with a kitten, and be like: "Hi, I've found Bruiser a friend, it's staying with us". And he is not good at naming, so the kitten's name is Orange, because it is orange.

In the universe where Duncan won TDA, he saved up all his money and bailed himself out of jail.

Lightning is very sweet and nice person on the inside. But his dad, unknowingly, pressured him into becoming a star athlete, didn't let him time to build up a friendship with anyone. He doesn't really know how to communicate. And thus when Lightning actually gets a friend, he might become a bit clingy and/or isn't sure if they see him as a friend.

How I feel about this character:

honestly i really was rockin with this guy for a long time bc of ralbert 2018 renaissance, then i lost my vibe with him! i didn’t like a fair share of interpretations of him, he was getting almost like too goofy and his relationship with jack i think was sort of. exaggerated in a way that tried to confuse canon with fanon and i wasn’t big on 92sies at the time so i was like. they speak like. 5 times to each other. but NOW? i have figured out a racetrack in my head that i rly like, also uksies happened and i LOVE josh barnett’s sort of return to 92sies race- more hardcore, bruiser type, actually smokes. he’s very cool. if anyones “the blowhard”, it’s him- jack serves this warm parental role, crutchie is this older brother type, and race is very on-the-ground rallying the troops at all times. i like it

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character:

ralbert all the way✊🏼!! what’s funny is if it’s a centered fic it’ll be ralbert but if it’s a background relationship to a diff ship i think i do sprace a lot to appease the masses tbh

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character:

race and crutchie. race crutchie jack. the manhattan trifecta. my god. their group hug when crutchie comes back….. man.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

honestly i wish the peppy jokester perception of him would chill. 92sies was snarky and laid back, livesies was. kind of… bubbly nervous?? and uksies is again the blowhard abrasive type. like for me 92sies and uksies appeals much more to me guys idk i think the fandom just wanted a comic relief character that the show itself doesn’t contextually provide. (because it’s the ensemble. it is the newsies as a whole. that’s. that’s the point they can FILL ANY ROLE-)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

oh wow idk. i wish crutchie had called for him when the delanceys were dragging his ass to jail, like… idk why he’s calling for elmer yk. that would’ve been a good nod for race’s positionality within the group. OR TBH i wish king of new york was more obviously a ploy for race and like dave to raise the boys’ spirits with katherine!!! like if she was asking dave and race abt where jack was, gave her a quick update on the vibes, she like…shows them the paper before the rest of the boys’ rq and then KONY plays out.

Favorite friendship for this character:

i do like the older boy friendship of the trio (race al and finch). like if i was “missing out” on anything with uksies it’s race and albert not being in sync anymore

Doc Louis - I could see him being a scaly, specifically a crocodile, come on it fits like a glove

Little Mac - Wolf, he would so be a wolf im so serious about this

Glass Joe - a ferret or a weasel 99%, he would have it wear a turtleneck too i swear it just fits him im gonna scream

Von Kaiser - a deer, he would so be a deer, it fits too well i am not joking fucking look at him and tell me he doesnt like deers, look at me directly in the eyes and say the words "von kaiser wouldnt have a deer as his fursona" i fucking dare you. Look at me until you can see my soul and say that, i challenge you. He has a deer as his fursona, you cannot deny the truth, you cannot deny the facts, your mind is too weak to handle the truth

Disco Kid - he would so choose a cheetah, it would fit him come on, hes just so silly and so is his cheetah fursona look!!

De-escalation tactics failed. But this "date" wasn't the worst. Bobby and Dayday do get their ice cream after all.

What in the world beat them up/ what in the world did they beat up? I don't even know. (yet) Not everything on the island is smiles and sunshine.

I headcanon Bobby as a girly bruiser so even though it was a team effort she likely did most of the work.

Aleheather headcanons because why not :))

They moved into an apartment together after All Stars; it’s not exactly the lavish lifestyle they pictured but it’s cozy and comfortable for the moment

I personally don’t think Heather would name her cat Bruiser; I think it’s actually the family cat and that’s what her younger brothers decided to name him

After moving in together, they got a little white cat named Blanca (courtesy of Alejandro ofc)

“Blanca? W— isn’t that just white in Spanish??”

“Exactly. It fits perfectly for her.”

That said, Alejandro’s more of a dog person but he’s not opposed to cats; Heather LOVES cats but big dogs are not her thing though

They’ll dance together in their living room at 2 am, maybe sway the cat around too

Alejandro is the master chef while Heather is the resident baker

They enjoy hosting dinner parties for their friends! Duncan and Courtney, and Lindsay and Tyler are their most common guests

Heather is a WIZARD at the piano

Sometimes when Alejandro has a nightmare she’ll play to relax and comfort him; his favorite is Solamente Una Vez

Alejandro can play guitar at a beginner-intermediate level

Sometimes they’ll duet with their respective instruments + occasional singing

Courtney will come over and sometimes bring her violin so she and Heather can play together — and they’ll absolutely bring the house down every time; their signature piece is The Swan

Duncan will make fun of Alejandro cause he gets emotional everytime they play it

I think that role goes to Carlos since he’s the professional soccer player, but Carlos gets demoted to second favorite after his parents meet Heather

His mom adores Heather, she’s the daughter she never had; his dad isn’t rlly around cause of work but he’s quite fond of her too from the few times he’s met her

Alejandro and José made a bet about whether he would win Total Drama

When he got the call from Chris about TD Dirtbags, you bet your ass he was outta the house

Alejandro’s parents had literally no idea he went on the show (nor did they care LOL)

His mom found out when he called him after Chris announced World Tour and his dad found out when they were showing one of the eps on a hotel TV and saw him

Heather braids her hair when she’s stressed! She can do all sorts of braids from fishtail to Dutch

The only person allowed to play with Alejandro’s hair is her; he’s not fond of having it in two parts (i.e. braids and pigtails) but he makes an exception for her

Sometimes when she has a nightmare, Alejandro lets her braid and play with his hair to calm her down

Heather is terrified of vulnerability, due to a fear of rejection and being alone; she combats this by pushing everyone away to not face any potential possibilities of being rejected by anybody

The first time she said ‘I love you’ to Alejandro (not counting the WT confession) resulted in a panic attack and almost passing out (I wrote a fic about this hehe)

Occasionally Heather has doubts about Alejandro’s objective with her and their relationship — why he chose her of all people, if this could all end up a mistake in the future, if she can trust him, etc.

Alejandro’s patient though, he provides as many reassurances as she needs to hear

It’s taken a lot of time and coaxing to get her to take down her walls and let him in but they’re making progress; he just loves her so much and wants happiness for her :’)

They’re both afraid of losing the other but Heather’s fear is more extreme than Alejandro’s

neither of them knew where the other ended up, but they both had a feeling that theyd bump into each other again in the future

one day, in 1996, hostile takeover bank added another member to chick's pit crew
