They each have their own awakening and it's equally brutal each time it happens.

For Dick, it's when he's lecturing the Teen Titans about some safety fuckup and a verbatim Bruceism comes out of his mouth. He freezes, then flees and refuses to tell the team what happened. They take it bc they got out of the lecture.

For Jason, it's the first time he realizes he has a Pokedex worth of kids he takes care of in Crime Alley and he almost falls off the roof.

For Tim, it's the first time a Brucieism comes out of his mouth at a gala and he realizes he's been leani g against the bar like a whore.

For Steph, who's a certified manspreader, realizes she crosses her legs just like Bruce when she's angry. She stares at Bruce's legs angrily for the next two months whenever he's in the room.

For Duke, it's when he finally starts creaming his hands and feet and the blisters and calluses *do* stop happening. He's only made even more mad when he actually passes psychology bc of his talk with Harley last week.

For Damian, comforting Jon Kent after a loss of control turns into Jon having to talk him down from a panic attack when he remembers Bruce talking to both Clark and Krypto with the same tone of voice.

For Cass, nothing happens. As frustrating as Bruce can be, he's usually right and it's better to just accept that. She can do a remarkably good impression of him, too.

For Zatanna, it tickles her pink that she can copy Bruce's Unimpressed Dad Stance and make men shrink away. She actually cackles the first time she does it to Plastic Man and he physically wilts.

Every batkid has their patented “fuck, Bruce was right” face. Their expression twists for just a second, God forbid Bruce sees, but it does hurt their ego. In fact, it hurts their ego so deeply that they think about this moment all day. And maybe the day after, but they won't admit it under threat of death. Because there is nothing worse for a child than realizing that your old man who doesn't know shit about life actually knows shit about life. So embarrassing.

yknow if i just suddenly turned blind for inexplicable reasons and almost got ran over by a car, i dont think i would recognise someones voice from just one sentence unless i knew them really well, like say my family members or my colleagues of several years. definitely would not recognise the voice of the professor i just met on a case from work a couple of months back and have worked with a couple of times since. i would not recognise their voice that easily unless i had a huge ass crush on them. maybe this is just me.

Nope...never happened. Bruce never fought Chuck off screen (although they did spar). In fact, when asked about who wold win between him and Bruce, Chuck said:

idk if this was intentional by the script writers but i just realised that the scene in the apartment after yunlan discovers shen wei is *censored*, yunlan says "unless u can erase my memory" smugly and shen wei teases "how do you know i cant?"

then later in the final arc when yunlans like "hahaha bitch u dont have the wick for the guardian lamp!!!! checkmate!!!" and ye zun says "how do you know i dont?"

oof just got clued into some discourse going on on twitter and i just gotta say, also as a reminder to myself, that if you're a kpop fan of a band thats tryna promote in america....... i dont think you should call your faves poc, although technically sure, they are people of color (non-white)

so yeah definitely while they are in america, they will experience that unique brand of american racism and microaggressions towards non-white individuals that poc in america experience, but dont forget that poc in america dont get to "go back home", dont forget that poc in america dont get "go back" to a country where they are the ethnic/racial majority. poc in america dont have lived experiences where they are part of the majority ethnicity/race, where no one is putting them down or tearing apart their culture, where no one is forcing them to assimilate or become less of themselves or more like another race.

at the end of the day, korean idols get to go back to korea, be part of the (approx.) 96% ethnic korean (한국인/조선인) majority, not experience racism and systemic oppression. don't forget that korean idols dont struggle the same way as poc in america. it is dangerous to translate the race issues and institutional racism you experience in your country to other countries, and people from other countries. it is ridiculous to equate being an asian american to being an asian in america.
