To be fair to Bruce, they both started giving him jump scares as Robbin. At first, he begged Alfred for tips to notice them (to which he was told to become a sniper so his eyes would learn to notice everything. And that was....yeah, he wasn't doing that one). Bruce has since surrendered himself to the fact that all of his children will eventually develop the power to scare the shit out of him without warning. Once they reach this stage of Robbin development, Bruce quietly removes himself from their possible viable contingency measures sheets. He knows he can no longer win against then at that point. Alfred never says anything about this but for a week following these updates, Bruce gets all of his favorites at every meal and lots of shoulder pats from the older man in consolation.
I think it’d be funny if Dick and Jason, due to wearing bright yellow capes on the job for years, are capable of stealth to a frankly unhinged degree. They barely have to try anymore it’s so second nature. Dick can just completely disappear while in the loudest neon clothes imaginable. Jason is constantly startling people who don’t understand how they missed a guy the size of a fridge standing right there. Bruce is extremely grateful for his unbreakable poker face because they have both startled him by accident and would never ever let him live it down if they knew.

I keep imagine Bruce being the kind of person that just emotional in general, Like the man is sensitive yes but he sometimes become so overwhelmed that he can't keep bottling up and is like stress relive (I have done it before it really helps) or just he's happy (usually around his family) that he can't help it, this man has a such a bleeding heart full of love is a domino reaction situation
But do you have a HC how would the bakids would react if anyone make Bruce cry on purpose? Like trying to provoke him or making sharp remarks about his parents or his person in general ??
I really love protective batdad but I always in for some crazy protective batchildren who are the only ones allowed to poke or mess up with him (in a carrying way)
Aw, how'd you know I needed crybaby Bruce first thing in the morning?
But seriously. Alfred should've given a warning shot before Bruce went into his first WE meeting.
Perhaps there's a ceremonial aspect in the way men try to break eachother, -- like a family tradition. They see soft and they go for the kill
Thomas took it because he could give it; And, more times than less, gave it worse just to make a point. But the father is gone, and it's the son's duty to wait in line for the chopping block.
Bruce takes it because he's got no other choice, but when he comes home, a perfect mirror of the 9 year old with nothing to show for family day but a broken heart, Alfred knows this won't pass lightly
Tim is petty; Oh but who could've leaked those photos with the Wayne stocksharers arms in arms with corner girls to their wives?
Jason isn't as trigger happy as people think, but he'd take a knife to their neck for sure.
Dick just has a sit down with them like a tired principal.
Damian offers to call Talia and the collective exclaims, " Dami that's taking it too far"
Meanwhile Bruce isn't even aware because he and Harley are cuddling under the blanket fort she was called to build specifically

Let’s talk about canon Batfam things. Basically I just wanna jot down a list of batfam relationship things in canon that might make your fanworks more spicy.
As well they’re great for generating AUs because if you know how things are then you can ask, but what if?
Okay let’s get started with some relationships-
It’s pretty common knowledge that Damian and Tim don’t get along. Dick and Damian do get along. And I think a lot of people know that Damian and Steph get along
But did you know that Tim was the first one to reach out to Damian? That even now after years of mental and physical abuse Tim would die for his baby brother and mourned his death so heavily he hallucinated him.
Dick and Damian do not have a perfect relationship. Dick has knocked Damian flat on his ass before when he’s getting out of line. Dick does not have endless patience and no one tests patience like Damian.
Duke has never once been afraid of Damian and they hang out sometimes
Jason and Damian don’t really know each other that well. Jason rarely is in Gotham and he’s tried to reach out to Damian but the boy is rude and Jason doesn’t have time for that. Still Jason would do anything for his brother and probably vice versa.
Jason and Tim on the other hand is an interesting one. Started from the bottom and now we here type of deal. We all know Jason tried to kill Tim and was angry as hell. But currently Tim is Jason’s favorite sibling. They get along well and seem to hang out every once and awhile. Jason couldn’t even bring himself to go to Tim’s funeral. Not that he was really dead of course.
Another thing in fanfiction is that everyone is equally loved or Cass is the favorite (she deserves it). But in the comics it’s pretty much non negotiable- Dick is Bruce’s favorite kid.
Important to note about Dick and Bruce which might give more insight to their relationship and why it’s so much stronger. They are not just father and son. They’re also brothers and friends. Many people including Clark have said no one knows Bruce like Dick does. The way Bruce and Dick act is not comparable to the way the others interact with Bruce and he interacts with them.
Dick is adopted by Bruce. He was adopted as an adult in the early 2000s. There are lots of in universe reasons given for this. Important to note that the real reason is back in 1940 a single male was not adopting a kid he had no blood relation to. Bruce had to fight tooth and nail to get guardianship and even had that questioned once or twice. But of course from this point in time twenty years ago Bruce could have adopted Dick but to keep the stories the same and stuff they have to make up reasons to why he didn’t.
When Jason was introduced Dick was angry. He was jealous. And he was hurt that his dad replaced him. Dick told Jason to call him if he needed help and gave him an old costume. They weren’t brothers in the sense that Dick was spending weekends at home. Remember this is when Bruce and Dick were on the outs. They get along better now in post rebirth but there is a bit of tension with Dick faking his death.
Another interesting point. Dick and Cass do not get along in the comics. Dick doesn’t trust Cass and she is tired of being judged by him. They don’t interact often and Dick wants nothing to do with her. I haven’t really seen them talk post Flashpoint so I have no idea what’s up with that. But they basically erased Cass from the Batfam in New 52 so whatever make up what you will I don’t want her erased.
Steph isn’t really a batkid she’s more like a bat-in law between Tim and the very popular I hope it’s canon soon StephCass ship.
Babs is also not a batkid. She works with the Batfam but her main squad is the Birds of Prey.
Anyways feel free to add anything. I just think these could be fun points in fanfiction to address. Basically a lot of Batfam fics I read have everyone getting along with no biases but like you have your favorites and that’s normal. Parents shouldn’t say who their favorites are obviously but humans latch onto some tighter than others. Siblings do the same. But also I like reading about non abusive batdad so what are ya gonna do.
Edit: When I say batkid I mean one of Bruce’s kids. Not a member of team Batman. Just want to clarify. Steph and Babs are obviously very important to the Batman/Gotham Team Roster.
Edit 2: For Jason I mean anything Post Flashpoint really. Post Crisis Jason was a mess and he had his reasons but he really was just out for blood.

I Am Batman (AU Batdad x Batman Headcanons)
Requested by Anonymous for the reader being Batman from another universe and is caught in the main one. With reader being really tall.
Shout out from me and this anon to all y’all tall readers! Hearts to all!
Tumblr media
A flash of light, a rush of sound.
And suddenly, Gotham City has a visitor.
The Batfamily goes as one to meet this visitor, having had poor previous experience with multiversal travelers.
And it seems like Batman is standing there. Or a version of him. This one has small glowing red lines along his armor, the same color as the eyes on the cowl, which encloses the entire head.
He’s impressively tall, more so than Bruce, even, and his sinister Bat armor gives him an intimidating presence.
“Who are you?” Bruce asks firmly.
The man turns, tilting his head. “I’m Batman.”
“Obviously, you’re Batman, too, huh?” you say, your voice altered by the cowl’s tech. You press a button and the face slides apart so that the five in front of you can see your face. “Y/N Wayne.”
Each of them has taken a step backwards in shock at your face.
Bruce removes his own cowl, and you are shocked.
There is a moment when lightning flashes, and the typical Gotham rain begins to pour, and the two of you are staring at each other.
But then it passes, and you are brought back to the Cave.
You explain that after a few years of being Batman, Bruce was murdered in the course of duty. The press had had a field day wondering if you knew or not. You lied and claimed complete innocence, which the police backed you up with.
Alfred, as executor of the Wayne Estate, made sure you inherited everything, including Wayne Enterprises.
But instead of grieving, you and Jim Gordon created a secret program called the Silver Star, recruiting Bat-people out of the GCPD so that there were multiple Batmen running around Gotham all at once.
It effectively kept fear up in criminals and brought crime rates down, since everyone believed that it was the ghost of Batman unleashed.
And at the head of this program was you, using the training Bruce had given you to become the new Batman. Your codename was Batman Prime, and together with Alfred and Jim’s daughter Barbara, you commanded all of the Silver Star’s operatives.
You’ve been Batman Prime ever since, and once Jim became Commissioner, Lucius Fox has had WayneTech working on new equipment for the Star, hence your super high-tech suit.
Bruce tells you all about the boys, and how you died a few years ago at the hands of Talia, while protecting Damian.
It’s hard for them to see you, especially as you have none of the familiarity with them. You’re a nice, bright person, but you don’t have the years of parenting experience nor the patience.
It’s hard for Bruce because you show no interest in him, because you’ve never gotten over YOUR Bruce’s death, and even with a different version of him it would feel like a betrayal. Also this version of you is harsher and darker - too much like himself.
Dick is the only common link between the two of you, since he was adopted before Bruce died. But unlike Bruce, you never let him become Robin, and he had a relatively normal upbringing. However, once he became old enough to make his own decisions, he went into the police force in Gotham and joined the Silver Star all on his own, becoming a fellow Batman.
It’s weird for Dick because while he craves the feeling that you’re back, he knows that somewhere out there is a different Dick who needs his Y/N back.
Jason gets angry because it feels like the universe is taunting him. He often used to wish you weren’t so positive towards him when he wanted to feel down, and now he’s gotten his wish. Now you barely interact with him at all and he hates it. He spends time away from the manor and visits your grave almost every day.
Tim doesn’t trust you at all. Mostly because you gave him more coffee to keep him awake, which in his sleep-deprived mind means you don’t care about him and are just using them all to get home. Maybe you aren’t even Y/N in the first place. Did anybody think of that? Huh? No, you’re the paranoid one!
Damian can’t really reconcile the feelings. He feels guilty because you died protecting him, and part of him feels like he deserves the cold shoulder this you is giving him. And another part of him is angry because all he wants is his Papa back and this is not what he wanted!
They are all able to work with you, though. You’re an unusually upbeat Batman, laughing often as you take down criminals. In contrast to his efficient, trained style, yours is much more creative and environmentally interactive, due to your lack of formal training compared to him.
And due to your height, Bruce realizes that you’re more intimidating than he is. Bruce tends to try and talk to you over comms or from a higher vantage point in order to avoid having to look up at you.
Dick kind of likes it. You often serve as the perfect springboard for his more acrobatic moves.
You aren’t as disciplined as Bruce, mainly because you’ve organized the Star into shifts so that the members have time to recharge, so you get really tired after the first week. You forget that you’re in an alternate Wayne Manor, and you go to yours and Bruce’s bedroom and just slump on top of Bruce, hugging him close.
You’re bigger, and just for a moment Bruce enjoys the feeling of you resting your chin on his head before he decides that this one little time can be allowed. He turns and kisses you. The both of you hold each other close, pretending that you have your loved ones back.
In the morning, you decide that it wasn’t so bad after all, and from then on, you and Bruce sleep in the same bed every night (or, you know, whenever you end up sleeping).
But it is only temporary. Eventually a way is found to send you back to your universe.
You have responsibilities to get back to. And so does Bruce.
“Bruce.”
“Y/N?”
“I know I’ll come off as a huge hypocrite, but... move on.”
“Excuse me?”
“I’m gone, Bruce. You aren’t making me any happier by mourning. Show these kids some love. Help them. And if you find someone... let yourself be happy. You deserve it.”
You know he probably won’t take your advice. But at least you’ve put the thought into his head. You move to step through the portal.
“Y/N.”
“Bruce?”
“I’ll always love you.”
“Me too.”
“Then you do the same. We’ll both try.”
You smile. “I think we can do that.”
And as you land back in your Gotham, you feel lighter than you have in years.

Bat-recs
Y’know, for fun! Add your favorites; we were all new to this hell at some point, maybe this could be useful for someone.
Batman: Gothic
This was actually the second one I bought; it came across my table when I volunteered at a used library books organization. Two bucks. Immortal murderer? Haunted underwater monastery? Generally freaky? Sign me up! NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE WEE BABES, we got child murder, mentions of sexual assaults, and a literal head in the trash can. Poor Bruce. This story put him through the absolute wringer and I want to hug him.
The Cult
Also freaky! Bane says he broke Batman. Bane broke Batman a few years LATER; Blackfire...jeeze, man. (So far, two for two on the whole ‘immortal evil religious figure’. Hm.) Psychological horror out to HERE, and there’s a couple of pages that just WORK so WELL, when Robin!Jason finally finds poor Bruce. Also not for children, here there be a lotta bodies. And rats. And Bruce being...uh...well, we don’t need to talk about that now.
Scarecrow Year One
MY FIRST AND FAVORITE. (Ahh, evil religious individual! But not immortal this time.) Jonathan Crane’s backstory-one of them-with bonus Batdad content. Sean Murphy's sketchy artwork works really, really well for, well, Scarecrow, and Baby Crane is a little cutie. Protect him at all costs. Eh, if you or your kid’s a frightened type, the swarms of attacking crows might be a bit much, but there’s no corpse-stacks or child murder this time.
Li’l Gotham
Tired of everything hurting? Say no more. Tooth-rotting fluff is HERE. Batfamily getting along. Damian loves his mom and she loves him back and I am HAPPY ABOUT IT. This is what you’d think DC is like all the time, based on fic. Worth having for when they inevitably ruin something else. The same team has since done Once Upon a Crime, which is also precious.
White Knight
Did I see ‘Sean Murphy’ and smash the preorder? Yeah. Do I decree that this Ivy design is the best Ivy? Yeah. Elseworlds/Black Label, so he’s free to deconstruct Batman...and Batman’s proclivity for destroying Gotham in the pursuit of one asshole. (I feel a little called out, given my driving in Arkham Knight.) Has a sequel, and I’m waiting for the TP, but I’m sure I’ll love it just the same. Harley’s looking good here, guys; she is taking no shit AND she’s not being treated as a bimbo. She has brains and she’s not afraid to use them! Eh, mild nudity and violence, but barring Jason Todd’s standard woes, I’d rate it about the same as SYO in terms of ‘will this traumatize my kid?’
Under the Red Hood
1) No kids. There’s a bag o’ severed heads lovingly detailed like, five pages in. Red Hood ain’t Batman, a fact that he would like to make very clear.
2) THE SASS. THE SAAAAAAASS. EVERYBODY IS A SNARKY BASTARD AND I LOVE IT ALL. Well, almost all. I will grant that the animated film fixed my one big grievance with the ending. :) Seriously, though, ‘oh, my goodness gracious! I’ve been bamboozled!’ is golden and I’m WAITING for that line to make it to screen. Don’t be cowards, DC.
Haunted Knight
Everyone’s gonna rec The Long Halloween, as well they ought, but Haunted Knight-same team-is also great. Scarecrow’s design is...I’m torn between loving it and wanting to yeet it into the sun, but it works for him. This is a short story collection featuring Mad Hatter, Scarecrow, and and a Bat-ified Christmas Carol.
Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth
OKAY. This is sort of like The Long Halloween in that it’s frequently considered ‘required reading’, but I do legitimately enjoy it; it’s very, very, creepy. THIS is where the Arkham Asylum game takes a lot of its inspiration; the Rogues do not go to Batman. He goes to them. This also establishes Arkham’s history. I will say that you should pick up a newer edition with the annotated script included (most of them have it now) because there’s a LOT of symbolism in the art that you might miss, and knowing it really adds to the experience. I’d totally teach this in a psych class, though. Or an English class. It’s great. Bonus for everybody having their own style of dialogue: Joker does not have speech bubbles, for instance, Bruce is  black and white. Really gives you an idea of how they talk. It’s also nice that most of the Gallery gets some page time, even if they don’t talk; Scarecrow, for instance, has no dialogue, but he doesn’t need it. His presence is enough. Hard R-rating for scary images and implied childhood sexual abuse.
The Animated Series
Yup. Start here. START. HERE. Every major rogue (and several obscure ones) gets an episode in the limelight, Bruce is at his absolute best-that perfect combo of ‘gettin’ real tired of your shit, Villain of the Week’ and the compassion that’s gone missing lately-Harley looks great (and, y’know, LIKE A HARLEQUIN), and although it is kid-friendly, it doesn’t treat the viewer like a kid, so you can enjoy it as an adult. (You’re a lying liar who lies if Baby Doll’s episodes didn’t make you teary-eyed. It’s okay. There’s no shame to be had.) Bonus: Dick Grayson is a little ray of sunshine compared to Batman, but that’s not all he is and the writers remembered that. :) And, well...
Tumblr media
Iconic.
The Arkham Series
These are almost the animated series for a more mature audience (complete with a lot of the same voice casting!); murder is now allowed to be confirmed. If you’re intimidated by the comics, this is also a good place to start. Again, all the major rogues and a few lesser-knowns get some time to shine, the characterization is working (Bruce is not here for Joker’s shit, but he can still take a minute to calm down a panicking guard), and yeah, I love the designs.
Tumblr media
Look at my baby. THAT is legitimately frightening. 10/10, would run from again. Bonus: not only do we get Alfred, we get three whole Robins AND Oracle. That said, while the games give you PLENTY of options to go ‘I’m Batman’, Bruce takes almost none of them, so you have to do it. You gotta. It’s the law.
EDITED TO INCLUDE
Gotham County Line
Batman deals with the psychological guilt of not being able to save everyone, and there are...zombies. Sort of. Amazingly, Scarecrow is nowhere to be seen, yet Bruce does admit, straight-up, ‘I’m afraid’. Me too, Bruce. Me, too.
10/10 for creep factor here. I went into this unaware it was possible to be scared of Alfred. It is. It is possible. I am a changed woman now. Nothing really...comes of it...but I swear, I turned the page, and this was waiting for me:
Tumblr media
Mommy...
Also unsettling; the hanged man in general. A+ unsettling artwork, I’m sure that guy will haunt me. Added bonus: Zombie Robin Jason popping in to save Bruce’s bacon, because he is a good boy, and Zombie Waynes being proud parents. I did not expect the Feels Crowbar...but it was a nice surprise.

LOL sorry not sorry, I don’t care how annoying or repetitive it makes me sound, when it comes to Dick and Jason’s relationship when they were younger, I am a broken record on eternal repeat and can’t stop won’t stop.
Like, if there’s an even slightly tangential place for me to reference “bee tee dubs, Dick didn’t hate Jason, there is literally no canon of that, Dick was literally written making a point to put aside his resentment towards Bruce for Jason’s sake. After Jason’s origin was rebooted to the stealing the tires story, and his first encounter with Dick being rebooted to the druglab teamup, Dick made a point to give him his blessing and Robin costume and phone number and offer of being there so Jason could have a family relationship that didn’t depend on Bruce, had nothing to do with Bruce, like he literally stood there and gave him advice about how he knows how Bruce is better than anyone, and that not talking about stuff is Bruce’s problem but that doesn’t mean Jason had to make it his, so gimme a call whenever Bruce is being a pain - and yet even in fanfics that reference this exact story and even the part about Dick giving him his phone number, they all go on to write about how Jason tried calling but Dick never picked up, because yeah like it really matches ANY characterization of Dick Grayson to say he already went to the effort of extending that hand to his replacement only to then just end up ghosting the kid, please.
Even Bruce recognized all that as an actual effort on Dick’s part, with the last panel of that issue being Creeper!Batdad spying on his two boys bonding together and saying “Thank you, Dick” even though neither of them could hear it. And just like the Nightwing: Year One retcon that revised yet again the specifics of how Dick was fired, became Nightwing, Jason was taken in and made Robin, and Dick and Jason met for the first time (and ended the story yet again on good terms, like they were literally teasing each other)....like these stories only retconned the hows and whens of Jason becoming Robin and Dick becoming Nightwing and how they first met. And they were flashbacks. Because Jason’s rebooted origin story was written fourteen issues before the issue he died.
There wasn’t time to chronologically show any other interactions between Dick and Jason in that short a time frame, especially when the next Titans story took Dick offworld until after Jason had already died. So unless you wanna go with the idea that Jason actually at most was Robin for a few months and ignore every other story with him as Robin that was then just supposed to be read as being set after Batman #416/Nightwing: Year One.....its made fairly clear that even without us being actually shown on panel the first time Jason called Dick or Dick reached out to him again, whichever it was....I mean, one of those two definitely happened. Because otherwise you’re suggesting that Batman #416 or Nightwing: Year One were literally the ONLY times Jason and Dick even interacted, period.....because that’s the timeline.
Every which way you look at New Earth continuity, those issues were of Dick and Jason’s FIRST encounter, and so saying this never led to any kind of bonding between them after that because Dick didn’t pick up or Jason died before he could use the number....like, it basically implies that Dick and Jason only met once the entire time Jason lived with Bruce and was Robin, and has there ever been any interaction between them after Under The Red Hood that suggests these are two guys who literally only met ONCE and once only, and only knew each other by reputation before that?
Nope. Because the issues that have them interacting as brothers are all still canon, the events within them are canon, and thus that relationship between them is canon. They’re just supposed to be read as having happened AFTER Dick and Jason met in the new retconned ways of Batman #416 or Nightwing: Year One....hence why the former opened with the caption: One Year Ago, and the latter was similarly just meant to retcon the specifics of their first meeting.
But it literally doesn’t work to acknowledge Jason saying to Tim that he was a Titan too once, in reference to the two stories he teamed up with them, and then act like the parts where Dick was the complete and total opposite of an aloof, bitter asshole to him just....somehow got cut out of that story.
Its literally only fanfic that insisted on that interpretation of Dick and Jason pre-Death in the Family, (well, at least before someone told Scott Lobdell about it, I’d guess, lol, because like....I bet more than anything he just heard that fanon take and figured it made sense and ran with it because he thinks the only way for Jason to be a bad ass is if he’s hard and broody and isolated and alone, and he obviously can’t be that if his family like, loves him lfashiofhalfsh, don’t be ridiculous.”)
Anyway. Its not like I feel like everyone needs to be a Dick Grayson fan or agree he’s the best Robin or most important or even feel a need to make comparisons or rank the brothers at all.....but given that the experience of seeing a character you relate to be condemned for shit they didn’t do or unappreciated for stuff they did do IS such a hugely relatable experience and that’s WHY its such a huge fanfic trope......like, that one particular thing is always gonna be the thing in Batfamily fandom that always just makes me RAAAAAH with thwarted rage over my inability to make a mind ray gizmo that makes everyone share my opinions and nobody else’s. Knew I should have paid more fucking attention it science class.
You can write dynamics and characters any way you want, nobody’s saying you can’t, but just....when you then make a point to use actual canon to back up your takes on Jason and Tim, but revert to this fanon in order to prop up the two of them as misunderstood and unappreciated by Dick and thus they’re totally right to view his attempts to hug them or express affection as him overcompensating and feeling guilty about being an asshole before....like...
Bah. Its just really annoying to consistently see the one and only character in the Batfamily who makes a point to regularly express affection for his family and his desire for them to be more like a family....like, rewritten as this pompous douchebag that has never understood them and that’s why they’re totally justified in being written as treating him (who btw, a shit ton of his fans DO like and relate to and project upon due to his being a canon rape survivor)...like when they end up treating his attempts to show physical affection in stories like its a VIOLATION that they want no part of and he’s yet even more of an asshole for never getting this.....when there’s over a decade of comics full of Dick physically showing his affection for Tim and Tim very much appreciating it....just like Dick did the same with Jason when he was Robin, and Jason, again, was shown appreciating it, not treating it as a refusal to respect his boundaries.
That more than anything is what bugs.
Anyway. LOL. Yeah wtf, this is literally just me thinking out loud as usual, and I stg the actual inception of this post was just me rereading TNTT #31 again today and then immediately after going to read some fic which was a Mistake as winning bingo and getting three fics in a row with a line about how like....Jason resents Dick trying to hug him on his birthday because its clear to him Dick is just overcompensating for having been an asshole to him when they were younger and like....sigh. Epic, eternal forever sigh. Oh, fandom. Why. Whyyyyyyyy.
I just....I defy anyone to look at this scan and tell me how they see anything remotely along the lines of Dick resenting Jason for replacing him and being an asshole to him because of it or at least just aloof, and Jason resenting Dick because he was aware of this and never got the approval or recognition from Dick that he wanted and needed. And again, whenever you offhandedly reference Jason having been a Titan in pre-Reboot continuity....this is what you’re referencing, meaning you’re literally saying that THIS happened every bit as much as Batman #416.
(Btw, the trouble Dick references as Jason and the Titans bailing him out of, was them rescuing him from being kidnapped and brainwashed yet again by the Church of Blood, and it revealed that they’d secretly been controlling him for over a year before that. So....its in the actual literal aftermath of THAT, that Dick offers to take the fall with Bruce to keep Jason out of trouble, and selling all that as though it was Dick’s fault. Which....sounds like pretty consistent Dick Grayson characterization to me...just saying).

All I want from the new Robert Pattinson Batman film is tired bat-dad trying to stop Tim and Damian from murdering each other over a game of Monopoly
I have a number of feelings about the Batman solo film due to how much I love Batfleck, and how shitty it is that WB brought in a new director after Ben stepped back who essentially wrote him out of his own movie, and how much I wanted to see Deathstroke, and how much I wanted a film that continued with the characters and actors and relationships the DCEU has already built up…
BUT
if it gives me decent Batfam content, I will be thrilled, because we need that. God do we need that. My hopes for getting an Under the Red Hood adaption have fizzled away with the recast, there’s been no new news on the Nightwing movie, and what we’ve seen of BoP Cass so far bears little resemblance to my beautiful angelic bat-daughter (if Bruce doesn’t show up at the end of that movie to adopt Cass, then really what’s the point? Of anything?), and if it is set in the DCEU then it’s probably a prequel, so we’d probably only get Dick, maybe Jason, but god do I want that. I want tired Batdad. I want the kids interacting. I want them being a team
(and honestly, even if it made no sense to include him, the movie would get points for just mentioning Tim, given that the animated movies seem bent on pretending he doesn’t exist)
