Several years ago I also had an Arthur phase as a younger adult in my early to mid 20s. I was obsessed by Daniel Brochu and tried to watch all of his projects (anything I could find from TV movies, horror and period series, to plays on YT). Last time I (accidentally) watched him on CBS Ghosts, playing a guy who owned a speakeasy or whatever who was holding auditions for a singer for his bar. I think he's in his 40-50s by now.

Note: Hottest animated characters, part twelve. It was hard to find HD screenshots for a couple. Still watch mostly live-action, but trying to read more graphic novels. I never watched Vampire Knight, or finished the manga. Maybe after I catch up with BNHA...
The League of Villains minus Toga can use me as a couple of holes anytime lol.
10. Dark Bunny (Bruce Dinsmore) from Arthur
Bruce Wayne’s actual fursona.
9. Rido Kuran from Vampire Knight
When I read this, I was squicked out by his not-so-fraternal/-avuncular feelings. Still, a yandere with possession abilities...
8. Clarence from Through the Woods
Or the tentacle monster wearing Clarence’s skin, rather.
7. “Deprive” android from Robot Carnival
Hotter as a robot, but it’s nice to have a bishie form, too.
6. Vortex (James Monroe Iglehart) from Helluva Boss
Too bad the style did not give him fuller lips and thicker legs...
5. Brain Eating Meteor (Jeff Bennett/Voltaire) from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy
Sexy-voiced by a professional voice actor and a professional singer.
4. blacksmith (Hank Azaria) from The Simpsons
Stupid sexy blacksmith.
3. Zaheer (Henry Rollins) from Avatar: The Legend of Korra
I will never be as disciplined as him. He can discipline me, though.
2. Atsuhiro Sako from My Hero Academia
Mister, compress your [REDACTED] on my [REDACTED].
1. Joel Goldschmidt VI (Akira Ishida) from Blood+
Is actually kind, so he’s #1 lol.
Note: Previous part. With the realization I’m attracted to that meteor, I should just make a list of bizarre monsters/abstract characters I find hot lol.

the year of the comfort re-read
This year I largely failed at one of my goals, which was to read 52 books in the year. I barely read, probably the least time spent reading in the entirety of my life since I've learned to read. I also forgot to update on Goodreads; I suspect I'm more likely to update here even if I then update on Goodreads later.
Anyway, next year my list is largely comprised of books I know and love and authors I know and love. I can add to this, but hopefully I won't read fewer than these.

Rainbow Valley (L. M. Montgomery; reread; Kindle or paperback; Christian; coming of age)
Rilla Of Ingleside (L. M. Montgomery; reread; Kindle or paperback; Christian; coming of age)
(insert Christian indie author book here)
As you can see, most of these are rereads, often books I've wanted to reread for ages. If you're wondering why #62 is there, it's a placeholder for some book, possibly a new release or debut, but I don't know what yet. Suggestions are welcomed (including self promotion)!
This will also be posted on my blog, and go live on January the First.

@little-yoshi-beans said: My friend went to a reading where Marc Brown himself said Francine was gay!
aww i read an article about that!! marc brown is the best, i’m sure he’s totally cool with any lgbtq+ headcanons you could have for any of his characters and that just makes me so happy!!
@virgiltaylor said: Why dose Bo in the second one remind me of Marc brown even though we’ve seen Marc brown in the series? BTW Dispite him being voiced by the same actor who voices Patrick. I also disklike Bo from Post cards from Buster
i know what you mean! tbh i was surprised to learn they had the same voice actor! but i can hear the similarities in their voices. marcel jeannin actually had a few other minor roles on the show, and like most of the cast he’s both a stage and voice actor. i believe he’s worked quite a bit with other arthur cast members like daniel brochu (buster) and bruce dinsmore (binky and david read), particularly in cartoons that aired in the early 2000s
@its-theeaqueen17-stuff said: The weird human-animal hybrids that keep popping up are living proof as to why this show needs to hire furries to draw their shit because this is unacceptable 😰
oh that would be so amazing if they had furry artists on the show!! they could do a much better job!! omg but the worst character designs are for the celebrities and they just got worse over time especially as the quality of the animation declined😂

I’m not sure if you’ve heard about this yet, but Bruce Dinsmore, the voice of Arthur’s Dad and Binky, recently tweeted that he had his final recording session for the series. This means either one of two things.
A. He’s leaving the show.
B. The series is coming to an end.
I was wondering which of the two options you think is more likely and what are your thoughts about this recent news?
question submitted by jwblogofrandomness
hm, good question! according to this article on Oasis Animation (the current company in charge of producing arthur), it has a contract to produce seasons 22 through 25 of arthur. so, since unless they’ve written + voice acted all four of those seasons already, i don’t think this tweet is referencing the show coming to an end
i think it’s more likely that bruce dinsmore is leaving. like he says in his tweet, 24 years is an incredible run for a gig so it makes sense that he might be moving onto other things now. it’ll be interesting to see who steps up to fill his shoes, but. he had a really good run and brought life to some truly excellent characters! it’s a shame he’s moving on - change is never easy - but i do hope it’s for good reasons and he’s happy with the work he decides to do next!!

CHARLIE TANGO: Le prochain film de Simon Boisvert
Tumblr media

Do you remember Arthur? I suddenly thought about it just now. I had no idea it’d been running for 25 years and only ended this very year back in February. Used to watch it all the time when I was a primary school kid – we’d get back home from school and it’d be on. Always pleasing. And it had that ace opening credits tune / theme tune, right? Everybody knew it, sang along. “Listen to the rhythm, rhythm of the street.” Amazin.

(in reference to a post you made a while back) I remember the first time I watched Arthur's missing pal. I was laughing at the ridiculousness of the animation so much it took me hours to finish watching the damn thing
LMFAOOO i know
i mean...what even is this movie?? and why do i keep rewatching it ??
the awful animation, the corny songs, the stupid plot...of all the things you could make a movie about why does it have to be about pal running away? jeesh, such wasted potential. if you’re looking for a real arthur “movie” i’d recommend “it’s only rock ‘n roll.” now that should have been a full length movie. it’s one of my favorite episodes.
marc brown even admitted amp was terrible lol. cgi arthur was just a bad idea from the outset.
and oh, did you know bruce dinsmore and daniel brochu (binky and buster respectively) had to use Pseudonyms in the credits bc they were so embarrassed to be associated with it. they were actually the only original vas that were apart of the movie...probably because binky and buster are extremely hard to recast
also i Hate what they did to buster, he’s not a klutzy fool, but they made him into one, and a running gag is that he falls/trips over Everything. but honestly everyone was out of character.
bad movie 0/10 would not recommend
Tumblr media
but at least we got this shot of buster and arthur sitting in the park enjoying the sunset, right ??
