Elden Ring - Church of the Eclipse and the Pouring of Water

Being always on the look out for the environment staged to show off little scenes with 3D perspective, I noted this one in the Church of the Eclipse where the statue can be made to look like it is pouring out a soul as a stream of water onto the head of the burned body below.
The actual item picked up here is the Eclipse Shotel. Which is accompanied by a ghost with the dialogue:
"... Ohh great sun! Frigid sun of Sol! Surrender yourself to the eclipse! Grant life to the soulless bones!"

Eclipse Shotel Storied sword and treasure of Castle Sol that depicts an eclipsed sun drained of color. One of the legendary armaments. In Sol, the sight of an eclipse inspires a dreadful awe, preventing an onlooker from averting his gaze. Unique Skill : Death FlareSet the lusterless sun ablaze with the Prince of Death's flames, inflicting the death ailment upon foes. Follow up with an additional input to bring down the armament, triggering an explosion.
In fact, the imagery of both young and older women pouring water is also all over the exterior of the Church of the Eclipse:

Interestingly, only the older women are covered in icicles, including the water pouring out from their jars:

Which is interesting in the way that the icicles of frozen water echo the motif on the eclipse banners of liquid pouring from the eclipsed sun:

Also while I was browsing photos anyways I noticed this little set up. A corpse holding Thawfrost Boluses has his body angled towards a locked door which is directly blocking the "Church of the Eclipse" site of grace. His head is angled slightly as if looking at the eclipse banner just inside the doorway....or up on the cliff in the distance at that one prominent gravestone that stands above a Tibia Mariner.

┊ WHAT'S AFTER LIKE? . . 엔하이펜 ☁︎

ꣀ꣒ things #ENHYPEN does to embarrass you
mean enhypen ! × embarrassed female ! reader : : fluff + established relationship [ARCHIVE]
♫︎ REBLOGS + FEEDBACKS ARE ALWAYS APPRECIATED

. , LEE HEESEUNG ☁︎ 이희승 !
Heeseung is just, well, Heeseung—playful, sweet, and a little too good at embarrassing you. He adores your laugh, finding it both cute and amusing, and he can’t help but imitate it at every chance he gets. At the dinner table with your mutual friends, he lets out a loud, exaggerated "Hahaha!" that perfectly mimics your unique laugh. Your eyes widen, cheeks flushing red as everyone’s attention turns to the two of you. “Heeseung, stop,” you mutter, nudging him lightly with your elbow, but he’s already caught up in his antics, repeating the laugh with a cheeky grin. He laughs even harder, clearly enjoying how flustered you are. “I can’t help it, babe. Your laugh is just too cute!” he teases, squeezing your hand under the table.
read rest of the members below !
. , PARK JAY ☁︎ 박종성 !
Jay’s made it his mission to finish your sentences in the most dramatic way possible, especially when you’re in the middle of a conversation with others. You’re out with friends, recounting a story about your recent mishap at work. “And then I said to my boss—” you start, only for Jay to cut in with a deep, overly dramatic voice, “—‘I CAN HANDLE IT, NO PROBLEM AT ALL!’” You shoot him a look, but Jay just grins, clearly pleased with himself. Your friends burst into laughter, while you try to compose yourself, cheeks heating up. “Jay, seriously?” you groan, but he just winks at you, unfazed. “What? I’m just helping you tell the story with a bit more flair,” he says, nudging your shoulder.
. , SIM JAKE ☁︎ 심재윤 !
Jake loves his nicknames for you—maybe a little too much, especially when he knows it makes you blush in front of others. You’re shopping at the mall together, casually browsing through racks of clothes when Jake spots you struggling with a decision. “What do you think, babe?” you ask, holding up two dresses for him to see. Jake smiles, but instead of answering, he decides to turn up the embarrassment level. “Hmm, I don’t know, my little sugar plum fairy princess,” he says loudly, drawing curious glances from the people nearby. Your eyes widen, and you quickly glance around. “Jake, keep it down!” you hiss, feeling your face heat up as you try to shush him. But Jake is having none of it. “Why, my precious snuggle muffin? You know I love when you’re all flustered,” he teases, giving you a cheeky grin.
. , PARK SUNGHOON ☁︎ 박성훈 !
One of his favorite tactics is showing off old, less-than-flattering photos of you—usually the ones you wish would just disappear. It’s a casual gathering at your place, with some of your mutual friends. You’re busy preparing snacks when you suddenly hear Sunghoon's voice from behind you, “Hey guys, look what I found!” Your heart sinks as you turn around to see Sunghoon grinning, holding up his phone with an old photo of you. It’s one from a few years ago—a particularly awkward phase where you were experimenting with a questionable hairstyle and had a goofy expression. “Sunghoon, no!” you protest, rushing over to grab the phone from him, but he’s too quick, holding it just out of your reach. “Aw, come on, isn’t she adorable?” he teases, flipping through a few more equally embarrassing photos, much to your horror. Your friends are laughing, but it’s all good-natured fun, even if you feel your cheeks burning.
. , KIM SUNOO ☁︎ 김수누 !
You’re out at a café with Sunoo and a group of your mutual friends. Everything is going smoothly until Sunoo decides it’s the perfect moment to share a story about your shared inside joke. “So, remember that time we were at the amusement park and you were too scared to go on the roller coaster?” Sunoo starts, grinning as he looks at you. “You said you’d rather face a herd of wild animals than go on it!” You feel your face flush as the group bursts into laughter. It’s a funny story, but it’s one that you thought was private and only for the two of you to laugh about. “Sunoo, stop,” you say, trying to cover your face with your hands as you feel the heat rise. “It’s not that funny.”
. , YANG JUNGWON ☁︎ 양정원 !
Jungwon has a knack for turning the simplest moments into grand gestures, often leaving you blushing and slightly embarrassed. You’re at a café with Jungwon, enjoying a quiet date. As the barista brings over your coffee, Jungwon suddenly decides to make a big show of his affection. He stands up, grabs your hand, and exclaims, “I just have to say, my favorite person in the world is sitting right here with me!” The other patrons glance over, some smiling, others trying to stifle their laughter. You can feel your face heating up as Jungwon continues, “She’s the most amazing person, and I’m so lucky to be with her.” Despite your attempts to shush him or pull your hand away, Jungwon just keeps going, completely oblivious to your growing embarrassment.
. , NISHIMURA RIKI ☁︎ 리키 !
Niki finds immense joy in teasing you, and he takes it to another level by making one of your most awkward selfies his phone wallpaper. You’re lounging in Niki’s room, casually scrolling through your phone, when you glance at his phone resting on the coffee table. You turn to Niki, who’s lounging on the sofa, scrolling through his own phone. “Niki,” you begin, your voice filled with disbelief. “Why is my most embarrassing selfie your wallpaper?” He glances up, trying to stifle his laughter, but the mischievous sparkle in his eyes is unmistakable. “What? That old thing?” he replies nonchalantly. “I thought it was hilarious!” Your cheeks flush with heat as you cross the room to grab the phone, but Niki grabs it first, holding it out of your reach. “Come on, it’s just a funny picture,” he insists, his grin widening. “Every time I see it, I think of how cute you look even when you’re being silly.”

Fanfiction
Zenless Zone Zero - Asaba Harumasa (feat. Reader x Harumasa)
A/N: I don't even know where I start to explain the idea behind this one. Well, fanfics are canon in ZZZ and Harumasa is aware his fans write fics for him so... yeah.
Summary: Harumasa is reading a fanfic at work.
Word count: 1844 words
Harumasa sighed, slouching in his chair while the report pages rested empty on top of his desk. There was still about two hours before he could finally clock out and his body simply refused to waste its energy on filling those insufferable documents.
He already had to risk his life fighting ethereals, exploring hollows and doing medical check-ups, why did he also have to worry about explaining how any of those went? Why did it even matter in the first place? They just happened, weren’t the higher ups glad enough that he saved the day?
“Asaba-kun,” a cold, firm female voice came from behind him, making Harumasa jump in his seat and sit back up straight, dragging him from his thoughts back to reality. “Are you making progress with your reports? It would be troublesome to request another deadline extension after a two month delay.”
“D-deputy chief, you scared me!” Harumasa whined softly, his hand pressing flat against his chest while he looked up to Yanagi with puppy-like eyes. “Of course I’m making progress, but it’s just so har-”
“Good,” Yanagi nodded with a smile, giving him a gentle pat on the shoulder, “I’m sure you can make it up for all the reports behind the schedule, Asaba-kun,” she added before walking away to pay some mind to whatever matter was going on with Soukaku and Miyabi.
‘So mean!’, Harumasa thought, how could the deputy chief of all people not even bother to offer him some help with that endless pile of work? He frowned, resting an elbow on top of his desk and his head on top of his hand. Well, there were still two hours, right? He could kill off some time and do that report later…
He reached for his cellphone, which was just by the side of the pile of work he was trying so hard to ignore, and mindlessly moved his thumb around the screen, drawing an arrow and unlocking the device.
Browsing through the interknot shouldn’t be that much of a big deal to most people, but things may get a little interesting when you have an army of restless fans that are chronically online, to say the least. It was still a little hard for him to believe what kind of thing his admirers would do and create: drawings, banners, edits of his fights’ footage with upbeat songs, and even fictional stories… Now that he thought about it, Harumasa was probably the one inside the Section 6 that paid the most attention to these contents: Yanagi usually brushed them off with a polite smile, not even daring to give them a second look; Miyabi didn’t understand the concept behind people’s admiration towards her; and Soukaku only cared about the gifts she could eat.
Still, while being popular could be a little troublesome at times (like when he was trying to sneak out with a certain proxy), having a legion of followers would come handy at boring moments like this. After all, Harumasa knew there would always be something to entertain himself with.
“Masa-masa enthusiasts explain why he is so cute; Check it out!”, “Ten things you didn’t know about Asaba Harumasa!”, “Harumasa caught secret dating?!”, “Harumasa spotted at the Lumina Square! See more pictures here”...
Harumasa rolled his eyes, scrolling past all the posts he deemed dumb. Why was the tag with his name filled with so many weird articles anyway? Where was the good stuff at? He let out a quiet groan, continuing to search for something that actually deserved his attention.
He continued to search, post after post, article after article, photo after photo. After a couple moments digging throughout the interknot, a post from the “Archive of Our Eridu” caught his attention. Finally some good fan made content, Harumasa through, smirking slightly as he clicked the link and opened it.
“‘Harumasa/Reader’, huh..?” He mumbled, shifting in his chair as his eyes moved past the tags, skipping the summary and the author’s notes to finally get to the actual story.
‘You watch your captive slowly regain his consciousness, his muffled groans barely making past the improvised gag and his limbs’ moving restrained by the tightly tied ropes’- Harumasa arched one eyebrow at the content and its form, remembering one of the fanfic’s tags.
Right, this should be someone else’s point-of-view, which means… the said ‘captive’ was him? Wait, how was he supposed to read it if he was doing both roles?
Harumasa frowned, shaking his head. Probably the author never expected him, of all the users in the interknot, to stumble upon this. Still, he should probably just think of ‘reader’ as a different person while reading it, that should make things easier for him to understand and get through the text.
So, back to it…
It was a straight forward setting. The reader in question was playing the role of some sort of criminal organization’s leader while Harumasa played… well, his own role. For some reason, the author skipped the previous events that led to the current scene - Harumasa assumed that would be too much context - and the first paragraphs described some sort of… interrogation? At least, that’s what it sounded like.
“Heh, am I going to fall in love with the bad guys here..?” Harumasa giggled with the thought, surprisingly amused as the reader threatened and tried to intimidate him. “They are making me sound so stubborn here…”
Harumasa continued to read, flinching when the reader snatched the tape off his lips, imagining how much it would sting, and even unawarely mimicking his reactions described in the story: parted lips, half closed eyes, erratic breathing…
‘We already took care of your colleagues. No one is coming to save you, Asaba, you better speak’, he shifted in his seat at that line. ‘Hah, even better. Do your worst, you’ll get nothing from me’, was he actually this sassy? And what’s up with the attitude? Harumasa shook his head, rolling his eyes at the cliché threats from the reader. Maybe he did set the bar too high for some amateur stor-
‘Pain? Who said anything about hurting you, my dear Asaba? I have my own methods of making you talk’, oh? Was that the beginning of the steamy parts? Harumasa looked around the office, making sure Yanagi was still in her seat before continuing his reading.
Being caught reading this kind of stuff would be even worse than getting caught slacking off. Gladly, Soukaku seemed to be doing an amazing job at keeping the deputy chief busy.
Alright, time to resume it.
‘What?’. ‘Ah, Asaba… I’ve always been fond of you, I could never bring myself to hurt that pretty face of yours, but… I still need to make you talk, right?’ He could feel his cheeks warming up a little, imagining the scene a bit beyond what was written.
Ah, this better not be something weird awakening inside him, Harumasa thought.
There was still no action. The story only described how the reader walked around him, wandering in the room and circling the chair he was tied to while explaining to Harumasa the roots of their affection for him. Still, Harumasa couldn’t help but to feel his heart beating a little faster with anticipation - both as the audience and as a form of sympathy towards his character.
The next part had Harumasa leaning more and more on the edge of his seat, going an inch forward with each word read. The description mentioned something like the reader sitting at Harumasa’s lap, popping his shirt’s buttons open one after the other and pushing his shirt away, exposing his bare chest.
‘Get your hands… off me, you f-freak!’. “Why? Are you nervous? Feeling shy? Maybe there is something stuck at the back of your throat? Let me get it out for you’.
Harumasa felt a shiver run up his spine, regretting ever underestimating one of his fan’s work. The description had him wrapped around its finger and even he himself couldn’t figure out what was so good about it - neither what made it sound so awfully hot.
‘You began to drag your fingers around his toned midriff, circling his navel before teasing his sides. You watched Harumasa tense up, sucking in stomach, trying to avoid your touch. You chuckle, fondly, tickling the edge of his waist.’
So this was the torture they had in mind? Tickling? Harumasa looked up, lowering his phone for a moment and contemplating the idea. Unexpected, yes. Unwelcomed? Not sure. He couldn’t really tell if he was ticklish - was there ever a time for him to figure it out?
Of course, the lack of this confirmation didn’t stop this fan, it seemed. He should probably leave a like in their work for the effort - finding a piece of information that Harumasa himself wasn’t aware of. Heh.
But, back to the fanfiction… Why was it making his heart flutter? Or, even better, why was he struck by the imaginary feeling of it?
He could feel a ghost-like sensation roaming his body. Unconsciously hitching his breath, brushing a hand over whatever spot was mentioned to get rid of the phantom feeling and even catching himself smiling at nothing but his own thoughts.
‘Harumasa laugh helplessly under your hands. You dig your finds under his arms, squirming your way past his defenses despite his efforts into clasping his elbows to his torso. He throws his head back and you can’t help but to give his neck a little tease’.
“...w-what kind of freak would be into this stuff?” He groaned quietly, pouting while his cheeks felt warmer than before. Harumasa even lifted his hand - after hesitating a little, for some reason - to rub his neck, trying to shift his attention from the nonexistent sensation.
Stomach, side, neck, ears, thighs, knees, waist, feet, back… even his hands! How many words did that fanfic even have?!
Harumasa crossed his legs before leaning back into the chair, his breathing quickened for some reason. “A-ahm, does anyone mind if I turn on the AC?” Harumasa whined sheepishly, hooking a finger around his collar to loosen it.
“No, go ah- Asaba-kun, are you feeling alright? Yanagi asked, furrowing her brows slightly with concern. “You actually look sick, do you need me to-”
“I-it’s fine, deputy chief,” Harumasa sighed, wiping a drop of sweat from the side of his face and fanning it with his hand. “Just a little… overwhelmed, I’ll be fine,” he pulled out a forced smile, making Yanagi nod despite the doubt.
He should stop reading these things at work…
Brr, brr.
Wise lifted his head from his pillow, turning around and giving his attention to his phone instead of trying to sleep. Reaching out to it, taking him less than a couple swipes to check the reason behind the noise.
[A guest left ludos on Harumasa’s Interrogation], read the e-mail. Wise shrugged, placing his phone back on the table. Well, at least something was doing numbers, unlike this commission he was stuck at… but he should be able to do it after a good nap!

Tagging/searches
Reuploading this entire thing, updated.
• I see people complaining about Tumblr's search systems not working, and that's fair if you don't know the rules (I don't know all of them either), but one little tip I can give you is that, sometimes, simply looking up a tag on your blog shows you fewer posts than if you were to click on said tag directly in your blog's posts and browse it that way. That's how you get all of the results.
• When tagging, make sure the most important tags for general searches are the first three and for blog searches the first five. If you create a problematic tag (don't ask me what that means, that's tumblr's decision), more often than not, it does hide the entire post from your searches, meaning it won't come up even when you search it using one of its other tags (or the post's words).
• If you reblog something and tag it appropriately, it still won't show up in the general searches because those only show original posts. Tagging them is for your blog only. That said, tag your original posts so they get in the tag.
• When I can't find something, the method that never fails is to go through archives. If it's a text post, then that's fairly easy - you click on the text post filter and search a word from your post (not a tag! you can't do that with the in-built browser search, only the archive search). Remember, the result is only for the posts you see on your screen so you need to scroll -> refresh the search -> scroll etc. It won't always highlight the word for you, or better said, you won't always see it, and in that case, it means it is there but not in the post's preview (the preview is small; it can't fit everything in it).
Photos are more difficult to find but it is possible if you use the right tags to organise them. As in, don't just tag under the general tag, create subtags.
• If you want to create a tag for yourself only, add an underscore before your tag. It works exactly like a normal tag except for the fact that it's hidden for everyone but you. You won't see it when you look at a post but it will be there when you click on it and enter the editing mode or when you edit in your mass post editor.
• Featured tags: These are tags you can set for your blog. If you don't set them, tumblr will pick them for you based on what you post the most. They show up in your archive's tags and in your blog's search (though you won't see all of them in your blog's search if you have too many). If you can't find a tag there, add it to your featured.
• Capital letters make no difference (Abc = abc = ABC). They're a matter of personal preference. However, spaces matter (abc def is not the same as abcdef ..... think of fan art and fanart for example).
• If you want to find anything on tumblr, use: words you remember from a post site:tumblr.com (you can add /post directly after that for more accuracy because some posts get indexed differently and it wouldn't catch those without that addition)
• url.tumblr.com/day/insert year/insert month/insert day
• If you want to search by using two tags at once, use: https://[blogURL].tumblr.com/search/%23[tag1]%2C%20%23[tag2] (just remove the brackets)
A post that's worth a read
What are tags actually for
#tagging#tag guide#tumblr#abby talks#tumblr guides and related#An example of the hidden tag would be _scrn on my Arcane side blog. I use it for my own screenshots + I added it to my featured.

How would someone start posting their writings and things on tumblr...? Im new to actually posting and lost!
Hi! My advice is largely writing based; I’ll put a more detailed explanation under the cut, but basically:
1. Change your default blog icon/bio/etc. if you haven’t already (people may mistake you for a bot and block you if you’re using the default avatar!)
2. Keep your posts organized, especially writing. Make it easy for a reader to find a list of chapters, the previous, and the next piece in a series by linking them on a post.
3. Initiate interaction and maintain connections. Reblog other writer’s work with comments in the tags or notes; play ‘ask games’ off anon or DM blogs you want to be friends with. It’s awkward and intimidating but honestly consistent interaction is what will bring people to your blog regardless of its content, just to check out what your blog is like.
Customizing your blog
This is a big one - regardless of your blog content or interactions, no one trusts a default icon in their notes. Make it a stock image watermarked photo, make it a solid color, but do not leave it as the default geometric shape. Bots and spam accounts rarely customize their icons, so you’ll be lumped in with them and summarily blocked.
Blog titles aren’t super important, but it can be nice to customize it to your blog content or just a silly phrase to indicate “hello I am a real human do not block me please.” Blog descriptions are pretty straightforward. I advise going light on personal details (especially if you’re a minor) but generally a name people can refer to you as and your pronouns is all people are looking for in a description. You can also customize your blog colors, but it’s a good idea to be mindful of readability (eg. avoiding eye strain, colorblind unfriendly combinations, etc.).
I would also recommend turning on your blog’s custom theme (see guide linked here). This can only be done on desktop, but it makes my second point about organization easier. A standard blog will link as tumblr.url.com, but a custom domain will like as url.tumblr.com. A custom theme changes your blog’s links to ‘permalinks.’ This means that if you change your blog name (its url), permalinks will not break, so you don’t have to go through every link on every post to change your url in the link. You can also edit the html custom theme of your blog it this is enabled, as well as access your blog archive.
Organization and links
Obviously tagging your work appropriately helps it reach people - tag browsing is generally how people find blogs to follow outside of their dashboard. But that means you might tag chapter 26 of a work that shows up, in isolation, for a reader. If they think it’s interesting and want to go to the very beginning, how many clicks does it take? It shouldn’t take too many - people get bored or frustrated very quickly when investigating something new and might decide it isn’t worth their time.
Appropriately linking up your story and making it easily accessible to readers isn’t a hard and fast ‘you must do it this way or no one will ever read anything’ kind of rule. But, I think, making your posts as easy and simple as possible for a new reader to approach is good. A reader might scroll through your blog post by post to find what they want, but if you make it easy for them, it decreases their frustration or boredom by minimizing search time.
The easiest and first step would be to make a masterpost. This can be a Blog Masterpost (usually pinned, containing multiple links to multiple different story masterposts- not just chapters) or a Story Masterpost (tagged with the story name, one story’s chapters all consolidated in one place). You can see an example of a pinned blog masterpost and it’s linked story masterposts at the top of my blog.
If you’re writing a sequential story (or intend to have the story readable in a sequential chapter by chapter order), it helps the reader to link a) the story masterpost, b) the previous chapter, and c) the next chapter, somewhere on the post itself. You can see a few different examples of that in my writing posts, as my style and UI philosophy has evolved over time.
Organizing your writing by tag isn’t as ‘important’ as tagging your story appropriately for new readers to find. If you haven’t been here long, you should know that tumblr’s search function can be truly terrible and fail to find something you know to exist. This is why activating your blog’s custom theme (and therefore it’s archive and the ability to access a post’s permalink) is so important. You can manually force a search of a specific tag if you’re at a url.tumblr.com blog, but you are at the whims of tumblr’s noodle code trying to search a tumblr.url.com blog.
I tag my writing (and reblogs of other people’s writing) with specific unique tags so that I personally can have an easier time searching for them, but not everyone will notice, use, or care for unique tag searching given tumblr’s unpredictability.
Interact
So, your blog looks like it was made by a human being, your posts are meticulously organized and easily accessible, now what? Do you just wait for someone browsing the #enemies to lovers tag to find your story? No!
Tumblr is a microblogging platform with social media elements. There is no traditional algorithm that will magically bring your target audience to your blog. If you want to be social, you need to initiate social interactions. That means reblogging posts as a bare minimum.
Liking posts can garner some interaction - someone might see your icon in their notes and think oh a person let me check out their blog - but it doesn’t…say anything. Reblogging a post says very clearly ‘i want to share this with people’ regardless of your actual follower count (‘cause this is tumblr and no one but you can see your follower count, as it should be).
If you’re reblogging someone else’s work, you probably liked it, and might have some compliment or comment regarding it - share it! You can ramble in the tags, write in the notes, or write it directly in your reblog. This a) is a really nice thing to do; writers love and remember people who have comments on their writing and b) reinforces that you’re a human being (that a writer could personally thank, start a conversation with, share ideas, etc.). Having something to say makes you stand out in someone’s activity, and in the notes of a post. Both the OP and anyone else looking at that post will see your comment or tags, and that can incentivize them to check out your blog and your writing.
Obviously you want to approach this as a community building exercise, not min-maxing your interaction to get the most attention, but you shouldn’t be super friendly or overly involved if you don’t want to - it will show and come off as insincere. This is where the whole ‘be yourself’ thing comes in where it’s trite and sucks but it’s true. There are people who will vibe with you somewhere on this hellsite, you just gotta find them. Step out of your comfort zone but don’t force yourself to be something you’re not.

A Tribute to Cho Gi Seok
Having used Cho Gi Seok in numerous presentations and assignments, I believe it is a crime not to have written a blog post about him. So here's my appreciation to my favorite photographer and muse:
Admiration at First Sight

Nostalgia #2, Cho Gi Seok, 2020
While browsing Pinterest, I came across a photo of a girl in a school uniform. She was adorned with a series of small fish or shark figurines that seemed to flow over her head, across her face, and towards her shoulder. It was one of those photographs that gave me a "aha" moment as I stared at it for hours, amazed by the idea of combining a human figure with unconventional prop, unlike the typical table or still life objects seen in other photographs and paintings. I found myself wondering whether these fish were computer-generated, hand-drawn or crafted. Another intriguing aspect was how the girl was framed, with her face seemingly divided or "sliced" into two by the diagonal flow of the fish, revealing only one of her eyes and her mouth. Despite its simplicity, with a plain white background, the photo exuded a sense of movement and life. This was my initial encounter with Cho Gi Seok's work, and it sparked a deep sense of inspiration and admiration within me.
Cho Gi Seok: Biography

Cho Gi Seok, Photographer
"I think flowers are the easiest thing to find that anyone around us can think of as beautiful, It’s like taking a portrait for me. By transforming and recombining them, I try to express my own thoughts through them.”
Born in 1992, the South Korean photographer aspired to be an art director from a young age. Before pursuing photography, he had experience with graphic and set design, which he incorporates into his work and techniques. His photographs depict abstract themes, combining human figures with unusual props. He grew up in an internet generation, so he draws inspiration from technology and its advancements, which sets his work apart from the rest.
Gi Seok's Visual Archive: My Favorite Collections
The following are my interpretations of some of my favorite collections and photographs. These are not entirely accurate to the photographers' intentions, but rather my own.

Not Alone, Cho Gi Seok, 2021
This collection of images portrays the sensation of feeling trapped or targeted by judgment or bullying during high school. The subject, positioned centrally, is accentuated by accusatory fingers or phones aimed at the subject. The close-ups and portrait-style shots echo the traditional yearbook photos, and the attire reminiscent of school uniforms adds to the overall theme. The flower prop serves as a symbol of innocence or vulnerability.
The title of the collection therefore imply a dark meaning, indicating that the subject is "not alone" but rather accompanied by dominating forces, accusations, and intimidation. It depicts the isolation experienced when one deviates from societal norms or stands out as different from others.

Alone, Cho Gi Seok, 2022
In contrast to the previous photographs titled "Not Alone", these photographs depict the relationship within a society. Cho utilizes technology as props to symbolize our connection to our phones or digital devices. Despite being closely positioned within the composition, each subject gazes in different directions, mirroring the way individuals search for cellular signals or internet. In instances where Cho omits props, he maintains consistency with his concept and theme through lighting techniques. For instance, in the second photograph, where the heads of the individuals are framed diagonally, a vibrant blue light illuminates them, resembling the glow of phone screens or theater displays that illuminates our faces.
These photographs not only convey their message visually but also capture the sensation of being without a smartphone in a sea of people who possess one.
Both of these collections, in my view, are not only semiotically rich but also visually engaging as photographs. Before I conclude my interpretation, I want to express my appreciation for my favorite collection:

Different, Cho Gi Seok, 2023
These series of photographs hold a special place for me; I find myself revisiting them time and again on Cho's Instagram. The way Cho utilizes props, framing, composition, and colors never fails to captivate me and serves as a source of inspiration. Cho skillfully conveys the notion of being different, drawing parallels with Franz Kafka's depiction of dehumanization and alienation through the symbolism of the bug in "The Metamorphosis." This connection underscores the theme of feeling looked down upon and met with disgust. The muted grays and greens evoke feelings associated with anxiety or dysmorphia, further enhanced by the use of paper-cut eyes that portray the sense of being judged and scrutinized. I've added it to my to-do list to capture a series of photos resembling Cho's "Different" collection, using his ideas and techniques.
Final Thoughts:
Cho Gi Seok truly stands out in a sea of photographers by skillfully capturing complex emotions and exploring unconventional, abstract themes. His work contributes to building a valuable visual library for both amateurs and beginners. While his style may not resonate with everyone, there's much to learn and appreciate from his captivating images.

Have you ever browsed through an old vintage store and come across a cardboard box brimming with random photos? Opening the box you uncover holiday celebrations, family days out, corners of living rooms and beautiful hilltops... Have you ever looked at these photos and felt connected to the people, or curious as to who they were and how they ended up there?
If you understand these feelings, then this blog is for you.

Photo: Alicia the day after senior prom (2002) by Katie McCain on Flickr.
My name is Jess, and I’m a photographer who is really passionate about finding photos that make you feel - especially, unintentionally. In today's vast sea of digital content, it's a treasure to discover pockets of nostalgia, warmth, and even a strange sense of familiarity. I especially look for this in amateur photography that probably wasn't intended to be seen.
So that’s what I created this blog for - looking at life through photography found and credited on sites like Flickr, Pinterest, and other internet archives.
So, just as some ground rules:
- Photographs will be credited to a source. The internet makes this hard (especially Pinterest), but I will try my best.
- You can reach out and ask me to take any photo down any time, I will happily comply no questions asked. A lot of things on Flickr from ten+ years ago are publicly posted - but that does not mean they were intended to be shared outside of friends and family.
- For the reason above and my own personal opinion on the matter, photos of children will not be shared.
I hope this finds some people who enjoy the project as much as I do, and we get to share somebody's life for a moment.

I’m really feeling the Cosmos after finally finding the high-quality version of this Michiru art! Awhile back, I had come across an unfinished gallery of Katamari on the Web artwork. The icon for some artwork of Michiru was shown, but the full version was unarchived. Many months later, I’m on NAVER, looking for Katamari-related stuff (mainly KDO). Suddenly, I see the gif in a lyric post! I was so happy that I finally had the full gif.
The icon version of the previous gif
Now, it’s time for Katamari trivia! This exact Prince doll was featured in a photo shoot of the Katamari Damacy team with their trophy. If you look on top of the cow, you’ll see the little green Prince! And here’s a drawn version of the photo, posted by Keita himself.

If you want to browse through the artwork from Katamari on the Web’s archives, you can check out the wiki page. I’ve compiled everything I’ve found so far.
In the past, I’ve theorized that this Prince doll was made for one of Dr. Katamari blog posts, which talks about the Prince’s creation. Unfortunately, I have no evidence of this, because none of the pictures were archived.

My tips to new users to make Tumblr more usable
This is kind of random but I think Tumblr is one of those websites that hides a lot of its functionality from users and comes with default settings that makes it kind unusable (at least for me). So I've decided to collect some suggestions about things to do immediately in order to make Tumblr a much more usable website:
Most important: Put the content you actually opt into on your dash. First, go to Settings > Dashboard and turn off "Best Stuff First." In general, (1) I don't think it's good to let social media sites curate your content feed (they're not very good! you can curate your own content feeds!), and (2) chronological ordering is much more helpful for making sense of information. I don't know why you would want posts on a site to be presented in any other way. Please save yourself and make your dash chronological by toggling this monstrosity OFF. Also for the love of god, turn off "Include posts liked by the blogs you follow" and "Include 'Based On Your Likes!'" too. Other people's experiences might be different from mine, but when Tumblr first introduced this feature and I tried it out for a while, it was so predictable that every time I came across a post that made me viscerally angry and think, "How the HELL did this get on my dash?" it was always always some random post from someone I wasn't even following… So yeah, get rid of that.
Second, make the "Following" tab your default, instead of the "For you" tab. How to do this is not particularly obvious. From the Tumblr homepage (not settings), you need to find the tabs at the top of your dash (For you, Following, Your tags) and then click the toggle/settings icon to the right of those tabs. This will allow you to reorder your tabs. In particular, what you need to do is click the pin icon to the right of "Following," and this will set Following to be your pinned and first tab. By default, when you open Tumblr, your dash will show the posts of people you have actually opted into following rather than what Tumblr suggests to you.
Next, make sure timestamps on posts are on. This should be the default (despite what Tumblr says?), but if you don't see timestamps at the top of all posts, I highly recommend turning this setting on (under Settings > Dashboard). Knowing when a post was made is hugely helpful for understanding the context of the post, and I don't know why websites would allow you to hide this, really, unless they want you walking around with no sense of time or context, which uh… I don't recommend that social media experience!
Turn off endless scrolling (under Settings > Dashboard): Websites like endless scrolling to keep people from leaving the site. I recommend turning this off to make it more obvious how many posts you've scrolled through on Tumblr, to make it easier to find your place in older posts, and also to make the website just lighter to load. When I last used it, the Tumblr mobile app does not allow pagination, which is pretty typical of social media apps in general. Honestly, I recommend just not using the Tumblr mobile app at all. I've uninstalled it and aside from missing the convenience of being able to attach photos from my phone onto Tumblr posts, I really don't miss it…
Things that you may or may not be interested in:
Enable custom theme on (each of) your blog(s): So fun fact: If you don't have a custom theme enabled, then when people visit your blog when not logged into Tumblr, they will only be able to scroll through a few of the posts on your blog before being prompted by Tumblr to log in if they want to see more. This popup cannot be gotten around, and so people without Tumblr accounts or who are browsing on a device/browser without a login session just won't be able to see your posts. Personally, I do not like this behavior -- I like my blogs to be archives with useful permalinks that can be browsed by anyone. Anyway, you can get rid of this annoying prompt by going to Account > (select blog) > Blog settings and toggling that "Enable custom theme" slider. It doesn't really matter what theme you use (although there are a lot of options to choose from), just use a custom one!
Turn off "Shorten long posts" (under Settings > Dashboard): YMMV, but I personally don't find this setting very helpful as the maximum length for when it starts cutting off posts is pretty short and falls far short of what I would consider a "long post" that is inconvenient to scroll past. Instead, you may want to turn off this setting and create a filter for the tag "long post" (under Settings > Account > Filtered Tags).
Mature content: If you're interested in possibly seeing mature content, you may want to review your mature content settings (under Settings > Account) as by default, Tumblr is set to hide it entirely and doesn't tell you that it's hidden posts from you and so you probably just will not be aware this setting is a thing! Personally, I use the "Blur" setting.
Hiding content from users you don't want to see: As far as I can tell, if you see someone's posts in (e.g.) tag searches and would prefer not to see any of that person's posts in public places like that tag or appear on your dash by people you follow reblogging their posts, you should block them. Official Tumblr documentation does not say that this is a feature of blocking, but it is.
When Tumblr's functionality isn't enough… External tools such as XKit Rewritten provide a whole lot of QoL fixes to Tumblr's interface like making it easier to reply to replies, hiding posts you've already seen, showing how many new/unread posts are in tracked tags, showing all tags on posts by default rather than requiring you to click "See all," etc. For me, one thing I needed in order to make Tumblr semi-usable for me is hiding notes in tag searches (because I don't really need constant reminders that my tastes aren't aligned with wider fandom's tastes lol). I couldn't find a tool that does this, so I wrote a simple Tampermonkey script to do it for me.
Hope this helps new users of Tumblr, and feel free to add other helpful tips if you have them!

Got the courage to finally finish a smut fic and publish it.
And a preview under the cut:
Somehow, and Ludwig still couldn’t even believe it himself, Feliciano had managed to convince him to go into the lingerie store at the mall on their shopping trip.
Ludwig wasn’t a shopper, he liked to write a list of what he needed to buy, go to the stores he needed, and avoid any unnecessary browsing. Feliciano on the other hand enjoyed it. He liked to browse through any store that looked colourful and liked trying on clothes and doing a little spin in front of the mirror even if he didn’t need it. Today Feliciano had asked him to come with him on his trip as he needed to get out of the house. Ludwig reluctantly agreed, knowing he needed to buy some more staples anyways.
Now though? They were in a store he had never thought he would willingly enter. A lingerie store. With photos of half-naked woman in suggestive poses and overpriced underwear that had barely a scrap of fabric holding them together.
He kept his gaze mostly to the floor and stuck close to Feliciano. He felt like his face was going to melt off with how hot it felt.

I love dungeon crawlers. I'm making one inspired mainly by Shin Megami Tensei, and I've been posting about Dragon Quest (will eventually do other games), but I'm also into D&D, and always pour over the dungeon maps whenever I get a new sourcebook, and like exploring old issues of Dungeon magazine.
I remembered recently a core childhood memory that probably explains why I appreciate the art of the dungeon itself, and it's this issue of Nintendo Power (#121, June 1999):

I probably picked this up at a Blockbuster Video off the rack, as at that age Pokemon was everything and everywhere. Right around the time they had those kiosks where you could print photos you took in Pokemon Snap. But, as I found an archived copy of this issue, and the memories came flooding back (I remembered all the old articles and ads, and the fan art other kids sent in still stuck out to me as something I forgot I remembered), another thing jumped out at me - the guide to Conker's Pocket Tales, a game I did own. But, the game itself had less of an impact on me than these pages:
Sprawling mazes with spike traps, bottomless pits, bats, slimes, puzzles, animated statues, secret passages, and evil wizards? Forget it, this was my version of the Tomb of Horrors as a kid. I spend hours looking at these pages, imagining a little guy running around, tracing my way through the dungeon, and that pattern has burned it's way into my brain permanently as I play dungeon crawlers, browse D&D adventure modules, and look at game maps online.
I think I'm going to make some dungeon appreciation posts occasionally.

Hi!
I want to organise my tumbrl better for the season to come and you tags system seems really interesting!
Would you be okay to explain it a bit? So I can take inspiration from it?
It's okay if you don't, of course!
hello!! i would, gladly! i'm/it's not *that* organized unfortunately, i'm always like... "i should have a tag for that", and then.. i never do it 😭 but i have sort of settled on a system at least for the races, that i can follow.
on race weekends i use three tags, one for the location (eg. #hungary, #spain), one for the year ofc (eg. #24) and a combined one, so i can track that one specific race weekend (eg. #hun24, #esp24). this way if i want to search stuff from silverstone, spain etc, i can do it and it'll bring up everything from that place, regardless of the year. and same for the year, if i want to see stuff from say 2021, i'll just search #21.
(into the main tags, so year and location i put the more.. proper posts, while the specific race weekend tags tend to have more random posts in them as well.. it's just. the vibes from my side, whether i will use all three tags or not 😭)
edit: i just remembered that during the grand prix i also use the tumblr tag of the gp. so for instance during the spanish gp, that'd be #spanish gp 2024.
all years have a tag, but for the childhood years, which i consider until the end of the karting years (so in george's case that's 2013) i mostly use #ch. 2018 and 2017 are the only ones where i use the full year, because if you use #18 and #17 as tags the post won't show up in the search system...
i have some other tags too, for this winter break i was using #wb23 and #wb24, for the summer break i had #sb23. now for the pre-season, starting with today i settled on #prs24. for the pre-season test in bahrain, i will use both #testing and #testing24. i've been tempted to use a non-race weekend tag, or a tag for official photoshoots, so... maybe starting with this season i'll do that too! i'm lazy tho, because i always think that through the archive i will find everything i want to 😭...
some other tags that i have are #*m (any "major" post made my be) and #*p (proper photos), but these are more just for myself. looking back on things it'd have been easier to start tagging reblogs, instead of my own posts, but it kinda stuck from my previous blog... for my gifs, edits i use #*mine. i have some other tags too, #q for quotes and interviews, #j for the occasional memes, and #r for any random posts from my side.
i also made separate tags for george's firsts, so first win, podium, pole, williams point :')
it's a bit of a mess probably from the outside, but i'll be honest, i never really expect people to browse these tags a lot. it'd be cool if they would tho :)...
so yeah, i hope i could help a little bit! 🤍 i think you just gotta pick a system you like and then if you want to tag something specific, don't think much about it, just start tagging it right away, because you'll regret it later, that you've put it off for so long
