Each and everyone of us needs to demand an end to our country’s gun violence epidemic. Many of you who know me know that in times of tragedy, I try to focus on solutions. I take hope in the creative, impassioned activists and organizations who are offering evidence-based strategies. One such organization is @giffordscourage. This organization was founded by @GabbyGiffords and @ShuttleCDRKelly, and provides legislative analysis to lawmakers and educates the public on what works and what doesn’t. If we are going to keep our communities safe - from Brownsville, Brooklyn to Dayton, Ohio, from El Paso, Texas to Gilroy, California - we need to use equal parts data and tenacity to create real change. .
