Hmm. I think I might be generally... done with Star Wars? Like maybe if they trot out more Maul stuff I'll get reinvigorated but I can't think of the last time I thought about writing something Star Wars outside of an exchange. And honestly I've stopped even including Star Wars as options in multifandom exchanges too. It's weird to consciously detach from Fandom-ing for something, previously it's just fizzled out and eventually been taken over by a replacement, but I just don't really have fun with it anymore? Idk. And this isn't even the Veilguard brainworms talking, I've been feeling like this for a long time, Veilguard's just really brought into focus a) how much passive brainspace previously dedicated to Star Wars has been replaced by Dragon Age over the last two or three years, and b) how much fun I should be having with being actively engaged in a fandom vs. how much fun I've actually had for a couple years now. Part of that is due to removing myself from previous Star Wars communities I was active in, but even being in those in the first place has been a relatively recent development compared to how long I've been Doing Fandom stuff. I just don't have fun with it anymore, idk, and I do have fun with Dragon Age. Plus it like, fits my vibes more, lmao. I've always been more interested in fantasy than sci-fi, and it's nice to be in a fandom where I'm actually engaged in the main stories, plots, and characters, as opposed to 'small handful of side characters, plus all the clones, and the vast majority of main characters and stories are a complete snoozefest to me artistically'.
Not really a point to this post, I'm kinda just talking myself through this in real time, I think.
