as someone who spends a lot of time in the passenger seat of a car lemme tell you. i need sam to be so done with dean asking him to get stuff from the weirdest places in the impala.
like dean is driving meanwhile sam is pulling cirque du soleil level acrobatics to get a book from the backseat. knocking his shoulder on the driver's seat cause a bottle of holy water rolled under it two nights ago and they're on their way to get a demon's ass. giving himself a concussion on the ceiling because it isn't as high as he remembers it.
but also being the one running out of the car to check if the trunk closed right. the one who has to unwrap all the food while dean is busy driving. the one grabbing the gun from the glove box because a car has been following them since the last town.
just sam going through the trials and tribulations of being a passenger princess
#supernatural#spn#sam winchester#brought to you by me having to get a bag of water (???) from under the car seat this morning#everything disappears into weird places if you leave it in a car for too long#the winchesters are obviously not safe from that. woe be upon them

you wouldn’t expect sukuna to take care of you when you’re ill but surprisingly when you answer the doorbell you see your oversized cat — I mean your boyfriend standing there with a bag in his hand.
he tuts, looking at you up and down. runny nose, disheveled hair and tired eyes.
‘Stay away from me if you’re ill’ the tall figure states, coming into your apartment and taking off his shoes.
‘you’re the one who came over kuna.’
‘yeah only because you needed medicine.’
‘I could have gone and got it myself.’
‘fat chance. I also brought soup.’
‘you made some?’
‘no.’ He deadpans, looking at you. ‘who do you think I am? I bought it.’
‘right, sorry for assuming.’
‘why aren’t you in bed?’
you rolled your eyes, ‘I’m answering the door for you idiot.’
‘if you stand near me any longer you’re going to get even more sick. go away.’
that’s code word for ‘get your ass in bed and let me take care of you.’ you’re pretty fluent in the language of your boyfriend.
you say nothing in response and does as he says, disappearing under his sheets.
soon, he approaches you in bed with hot bowl of soup and your medicine. a glass of water is placed on your bedside table and he hovers around, making sure that you eat every last drop.
he doesn’t leave until you’re done, taking your bowl and telling you to sleep.
‘are you going now?’
‘going where?’
‘home.’
‘why would I?’
you shrug your shoulders. your head is heavy from your illness, throbbing from a headache. ‘thought you didn’t want to be around a sick person for too long’
sukuna holds back a scoff, ‘gotta make sure you don’t catch a fever or something as soon as I leave, I know you’ll try to do some work instead of resting.’
‘so you’re guarding me.’
‘If that’s how you want to see it.’
‘romantic.’
he makes a disgusted face, ‘go to sleep.’
Just as he promised he’s there when you awake and sukuna doesn’t leave for the next two days, making sure your illness is gone and that you’ve fully recovered.
spoiler alert: the soup he gave you was homemade but he didn’t want to admit it. :)

UNDER CONTROL
OVERVIEW: after quinn's captaincy skills are put to the test, you want nothing more than to help him relax.

note: atp, it's tradition for me to write a smut piece after every game.

The game against Columbus had been a hard watch.
Being sat on the couch in your and Quinn’s shared apartment was becoming increasingly more and more difficult the more the game carried on. During the first period, you couldn’t help but be a little frustrated at the lack of effort shown on the ice.
However, your frustrations only grew during the last two periods. Watching Quinn and the rest of his teammates get assaulted every other second fueled your emotions, causing you to lash out at the TV due to the refs who seemed to be blind.
By the time the game had come to an end, resulting in a win for the Canucks, you couldn’t help but feel a bit irritated at everything that had transpired within the hours of the night. You knew Quinn would be happy with the win, but you also knew him well enough that he would be feeling the physical results of it too.
Once you received his text that he would be home in less than ten minutes, having found an alternate route to avoid the Vancouver traffic, your brain scrambled to think of ideas on how to make his night a little bit easier, not only on his body but on his mind.
You started by popping some leftover pizza into the microwave, knowing Quinn would eat anything you put in front of him, not caring what it was. Next, you brought out the fluffy pillows from the closet and laid them out on the couch, lighting some random Yankee candle you had found in there as well. Just as the microwave beeped and you put out one of Quinn’s favorite books on the coffee table, the front lock clicked, indicating he had arrived.
Fumbling with your hands, you quickly walked over to the kitchen to pull the pizza out of the microwave and bringing it back over to the couch.
“Hey.” You greeted, walking over to the doorway to kiss him.
He tiredly kissed you back, small droplets of water falling from his hair and onto your forehead, “Hi.”
“Congrats on the win, hot shot.”
Quinn chuckled, “Thanks. Do you wanna order in or are you cooking?”
You smiled sheepishly, “Um, I actually just heated up some of the leftover pizza from a few days ago. I got too caught up in the game to actually… cook.”
He quickly noticed the embarrassment flood your face and he was quick to put a stop to it. He kissed your cheek, “You watched the game?”
“Always do. I just normally don’t get too into them, you know? But this one was really good”
Quinn let out a sigh before nodding. You could tell he was tired of standing, so you slid his hockey bag off of his shoulder and set it down on the floor. As you guided him over to sit on the couch, you couldn’t help but want to do more to help him relax.
“Do you need anything? Water? Gatorade?” You questioned the second he sat down on the soft cushions.
“Could you grab me a gato from the fridge?”
You nodded, quickly making your way to the fridge and making your way back just as fast that you were surprised you hadn’t slipped, “Anything else?”
Quinn furrowed his eyebrows, “No thanks. Are you okay? You seem really jittery.”
It wasn’t hard to read you, but you were worried about the toll his body had taken during the game that you couldn’t help it. Your lack of a response caused Quinn to start to worry himself, doing the exact opposite of what you wanted to do.
He tugged you down onto the couch gently, allowing you to settle your tense body against his. It was silent as you let out a breath, easing into his touch. As you nestled your face into his chest, he winced, his body pulling back instinctively.
You pulled away quickly, “Did I hurt you? I’m sorry.”
Quinn shook his head, “No it wasn’t you. Just got a bit roughed up tonight.”
You gave him a look, silently asking if you could lift up his shirt to see what exactly he meant by “roughed up.”. He tensed at your gaze, nodding subtly as he allowed your hands to lift up the fabric. It was hard to see the patch of purpled and slightly yellow skin spread across his chest and you couldn’t help but grimace at the sight.
“If anything my head hurts more than this. I promise it looks worse than it feels.” He lied, not wanting to worry you further. “I got it under control.”
Quinn had always been one to try and shake things off himself, but after tonight he desperately wanted to distract himself from not only the pain but also to forget about how the night had started.
The first period had been rough, especially for him. It was a low-effort skate from everyone and that’s exactly what the fans were seeing. He struggled to think of ways to encourage his team or even help them out, but there’s only so much one guy can do.
When they entered the locker room he was determined to shift gears. Tocchet was barely able to get a word out before Quinn took the lead, getting his team back into a winning mindset. He was always looking for ways to improve himself and the team, and if they could focus and get their heads back into the game, he knew that would show that improvement.
What he hadn’t expected was the mental toll it would take on him. He was exhausted both mentally and physically. He wanted nothing more than to get home and fall asleep since he expected you to already be in bed. But when he saw you awake and attentive to his needs, he wanted to simply sit and enjoy your presence.
“I can tell you’re tired, Quinn. Can I do anything or do you just want to head to bed?”
“There is one thing you can do for me.” He smiled, instantly gaining your attention, “Kiss me?”
You blushed at his request, slowly leaning in to press a soft kiss against his lips. “Better?”
Quinn smirked, “Think you might need to do it a few more times.”
Compiling, you kissed him again, letting this one linger a bit longer before pulling away again, an expectant look on your face, and a non-amused one on Quinn’s. He let out a sigh before pulling your leg over his lap, allowing you to straddle him. Bringing a hand up, he entangled his fingers gently in your hair, pushing your head slightly towards him to connect again.
It quickly began getting heated, a soft kiss turning into a full-blown make out session on the couch. Your hands wandered across his upper body, beginning to tug his shirt up when your knuckles made contact with his bruise, causing him to bite down harshly on your lip.
You yelped at the pain but also realized what you had done causing you to pull away from him. “I’m so sorry,” Quinn reassured you quickly, trying to pull you back in, but you pushed against his force. “Maybe we shouldn’t do this tonight, I don’t wanna hurt you, Q.”
“Y/N, it’s fine. You’re not gonna hurt me.”
“I just did! You’re hard not to touch, and I just don’t want to make it worse.” You mumbled, shying away from his touch and trying to return to your previous spot on the couch.
Quinn was quick to stop you, “You trust me?”
You nodded, the question being a no-brainer. Quinn sat you down on the couch, walking over to the doorway to fetch something out of his bag. You weren’t sure what it was until he sat back down, returning you to your previous straddling position.
“Quinn, what are you-?” He cut you off, taking your hands behind your back, pushing you gently to lean a little bit forward, tying the fabric of his suit tie around your wrists and securing it tightly behind you.
“Now you can’t hurt me. So please, shut up and kiss me.”
His boldness caught you off guard but you had no time to be surprised as he tugged you down to kiss you yet again, You moaned against his mouth, the feeling of being restrained shooting a thrill throughout your body.
The apartment suddenly felt hot and you knew it wasn’t just you who was feeling it. Quinn reluctantly pulled away, laying you down on your back as he stripped himself of his shirt and pants, his boxers coming down with them.
Your mouth fell agape at the sight, but he had no time to notice as he hastily pulled off your bottoms, throwing them somewhere on the floor below you.
“So fucking beautiful, baby.” He admired, shifting his body to hover above yours.
You wanted to tug on his hair desperately, but they were still bound behind your back, “Q, please. Wanna touch you.”
Quinn chuckled, “Wanted you to touch me too, but you were so worried. Let me help us relax, yeah? I think we deserve it.”
A whine was all that escaped your lips, bringing a smile to Quinn’s face. He sat you up yet again, his smile quickly replaced by his lips parting as he guided your hips to lower down onto him. You moaned softly at his pace, taking his sweet time to dwell on the feeling before bottoming out.
He didn’t move, his hands resting tightly on your hips as he felt his muscles decompress. “You wanna do me a favour, sweet girl?”
You nodded, “What do you need, Q?”
Quinn looked up at you with tired eyes, “Fuck yourself on my cock.” Your eyes widened at his vulgarity, “I worked so hard tonight. Think I deserve it, don’t you?”
Too stunned to respond verbally, you pressed your body up slightly by using your legs, before letting yourself drop back down. Quinn groaned at your movements, fingertips digging deeper into your skin.
You repeated the motion, setting a gentle, soft speed in order to let him relax and indulge in the pleasure. It felt good for you too, but you were fighting to resist the urge to go faster. You found yourself so lost in thought that you barely registered the feeling of Quinn’s hips snapping up to meet yours, picking up the pace slightly before settling back down and letting you take over.
“Fuck, Y/N. Feels so good.” He moaned, letting his head fall back onto the couch.
Leaning forward, you began to litter kisses on his neck, eventually switching to suck on his skin, leaving purple marks along his shoulders and collarbone. Quinn sighed, letting his eyes flutter shut at the feeling of your lips on his skin as well as at the feeling of the relatively slow pace he had managed to keep you at.
“You’re so perfect.” He babbled, losing himself in the pleasure, “So sweet to me, ready to help me relax after such a long night.”
You whimpered at his words, the sweetness of them rushing straight to your core. “Quinn.”
Quinn perked his head up slightly, “Yeah? What do you need, baby?”
“Need to go faster. Please.” You begged, the slow tempo becoming unbearable.
He nodded, using his hands to guide you into a quicker speed, your hips dropping onto his faster than they had before. The desperate desire to cum was increasing by the second, and Quinn knew it by the way your moans got louder and your walls clenched tighter around him.
You were trying your best to keep up with the pace you had longed for, but the burn in your thighs was getting harder to ignore and with your hands being bound behind your back, there wasn’t much you could do to support yourself, “Quinn…”
“Tired already?” He teased, grabbing your jaw so you’d face him, “Imagine how I felt tonight, baby. Got shoved and slashed every time I got the puck.”
You cried out, the knot in your stomach getting closer and closer to snapping. “My hands! Please, Quinn. Please.”
Quinn only wanted to push you so far, so keeping your hands tied at this point just seemed cruel. He tussled with the tie for a moment before unwrapping the knot, letting your hands breathe. One immediately found his shoulder, using the newly added support to help them speed up to a pace that had Quinn moaning, while the other found a home in his brown locks in order to avoid his bruise.
“Fuck. Gonna make me cum.” He groaned, “Don’t stop, Y/N.”
His words alone were enough to tip you over the edge. You whined as you let go, body trembling as you submitted to the euphoria, face dropping to rest on his shoulder. The feeling of you leaking all over him caused Quinn to cry out, his release coating your walls white as he nipped at your neck to muffle his sounds.
Your connected bodies stayed limp, heavy breathing echoing off the walls as you both came to. You were the first to move, pressing a kiss on his shoulder before tilting your head to the side to get a look at him.
Quinn’s eyes stayed shut, chest heaving as calmed himself down, his body feeling at ease for the first time in 24 hours.
“Relaxed?” You asked, leaning up so you could look at his face properly.
He blinked his eyes open to meet yours, “Definitely. We should really do that after every game.”
You laughed softly, pressing a loving kiss on his lips that he gladly reciprocated, “If it makes you feel better.”

You sleep long enough that, when you wake up, you have enough energy to cry.
It’s a big one. The kind of cry that threatens to turn your throat out, with how hard you sob. Alone in the cottage, far away from anything resembling civilization, you wail like wounded animal, choking on your own tears and mucus, losing track of your body buried underneath the covers—
But it happens at a remove. You watch yourself implode from someplace deep inside, not entirely sure why it’s happening at all—but long past trying to figure it out.
This is how it’s been for a while. There’s nothing special about it anymore. Nothing urgent. Most of the time, you are a blank space of a person, a vacuum where joy or rage or fear should be, but occasionally some maelstrom or another kicks up to fill it in, and your only course of action is to ride it out until it ends.
You’ve stopped trying to fix it. And you’ve stopped hoping anyone else can, either.
So you cry, until at last, you’re empty again. Or you’re too tired to continue. The difference is negligible, but functionally irrelevant. Once it’s done, you get out of bed.
The pressure in the shower is as weak as Johnny reported, but the water is indeed warm when you turn it on; you stand naked under the flow, arms hanging at your sides.
The day stretches itself out before you with nothing to occupying it, just as you’d planned. Nothing to work towards; no effort to put forward. Nothing, thanks to your choice of locale, to feel guilty about not seeking out.
A day of peace and utter quiet.
Suddenly—violent banging, somewhere in the cottage. It startles you; you jump so sharply at the noise that you smack your wrist on the soap caddy attached to the shower wall. The banging comes again—annoyed, you realize with no little bemusement that someone is at the front door.
You wrap yourself in a towel and hobble out of the bathroom to answer it, a piece of your mind on your tongue, dart-shaped and ready to fly—
Of course it’s Johnny.
Johnny, big and burly in a sweater, kilt, and pelt once again, two paper cups balanced in one large hand and a grocery bag hanging from the other. Whose dark brows shoot up his forehead as his eyes travel with surprise, and blatant appreciation, down the dripping length your body.
“Well, good mornin’, bonnie,” he purrs.
“What,” you grunt. A cold breath of wind chooses that moment to force its way through the door, gasping across the shower water still running in rivulets from your hair to the rolled edge of your towel. Goosebumps erupt from your bare skin in millions of simultaneous pinpricks—you flinch bodily at the chill.
“Ah, hell’s bells, don’t just stand there,” Johnny says, following the wind. “It’s freezin,’ go on, let me get in, hurry.”
You let him step inside, for some reason, and he shuts the door behind him with the heel of his boot. He wastes no time after that, heading to the kitchen to set down his things.
“Brought breakfast!” he says cheerfully. “There’s this bakery on Barra I thought you’d like, fresh doughnuts and coffee. Dunno how you take yours, but there’s sugar in the pantry and cream in the fridge.”
“I don’t want breakfast,” you say.
“What? ‘Course you do. I’m no’ takin’ you seal-watchin’ on an empty stomach.”
He starts unpacking the grocery bag and setting things on the counter while your jaw hangs open. Several things occur to you to say—I never agreed to that and what the hell is wrong with you, for starters—but your stomach growls at him before you can. The aroma of fresh-baked pastry wafts through the kitchen when he opens one box, and he turns to grin at you, cheeks dimpling.
“Do you get dressed, bonnie,” he says. “It’ll still be here when y’get back.”
It is less polite than he perhaps intends it to be, given that his gaze travels appreciatively across your bare shoulders. You cross your arms fruitlessly over your chest and, nothing else for it, retreat to the bedroom, feeling his eyes on you the whole way.
You return to the kitchen after having pulled on wool leggings and the same fleecy sweater from the day before. Johnny, one hip set against the counter, has a cup of steaming coffee in one hand and a half-eaten cruller in the other, crumbs at the corner of his mouth.
“Got anythin’ heavier?” he asks around a chewed-up mouthful. “Gets cold out there.”
You look down at his bare calves, broad and taut and covered in a down of dark hair. “You seem alright.”
“I’m used to it,” he says, shrugging—the muscles flexing under your gaze.
You purse your lips. “I don’t have anything.” You hadn’t intended to leave the cottage overmuch.
You approach the counter. Johnny does not move a centimeter, forcing you to stand close as you pick through the two boxes of doughnuts and feel the body heat radiating off of him, displacing the scent of fried dough with his musk.
“That’s all right,” he says. You’re close enough to hear the way his voice hums deep in his chest. “I can keep you warm.”
You snatch a plain glazed from the box and take two very large steps away from him. The hair on the back of your neck lifts as you press against the sink behind you. If he notices your reaction, it doesn’t seem to bother him in the slightest—he lifts the cup to his lips and drinks, eyes sliding closed with simple, obvious pleasure, dark lashes curling against his cheek.
You take the brief respite from his gaze to stare at him. In the morning light, on a full night of sleep, you can almost believe that whatever you’d seen in him yesterday had been nothing more than a misfire of exhausted synapses. An overlay of a dream; a circadian prompt to rectify nearly seventeen hours of sleeplessness. You’d been cold, and tired, and hungry. That was all.
You bite down on your doughnut, not really tasting it. The nerves along your spine twitch and contract around the memory of his flashing gaze.
His eyes open again, and he smiles at you. “Good?” He flicks a look at the single bite you’ve taken, looks at your mouth, and then waits for your reply.
“It’s fine,” you grumble. Then, “How did you get here? I didn’t hear the truck drive up. Do you live close by?”
“Sometimes,” he says. He looks pleased that you’ve asked, that you’re interested at all, and you immediately regret inquiring. “Live on a boat, me. Moored in the cove right now.”
“A…boat,” you say.
“Aye.” A wisp of dark hair, something he must have missed when he gelled his mohawk this morning, flutters as he nods. “Nice and cozy. Not as grand as all this, mind.” He gestures around with coffee and doughnut at the less than five hundred square feet of the cottage. “But it’s still a sight nicer than some other places I’ve slept.”
He’s likely hinting at his military service. “Okay,” is all you say, unwilling to entertain it.
He smirk—undeterred. “We’ll take her out once you’re ready.”
“I never said I was going.”
Dark brows lift. “Got somethin’ else planned for today?” he asks, incredulous, as if he never imagined you wouldn’t want to hang out with him.
“No, I—”
You wrack your brain. You have no intention of explaining to this complete stranger that the last thing you’d wanted to do, when you booked this trip, was really anything at all—and in fact, you hadn’t even considered that that might be something anyone else would care much about.
Much less proactively address.
“No,” you repeat, sulking.
Johnny considers you, chewing. His eyes do not stray, this time, to places they don’t belong; but there’s an insight to them. A sharp awareness. A perception in his gaze that is just as undressing, as if whatever is going on with you is visible to the naked eye.
“I figure,” he says, slowly, as if to coax, “you put your wee shoes on, an’ I’ll pack this back up, and we take it along.”
“You don’t have to do this,” you grouse. “I don’t need you to, like—be my tour guide.”
“Aye, but that doesnae mean I don’t wanna,” he retorts, smiling.
He shoves the last bite of cruller in his mouth and gazes patiently at you as he works it with his jaw, the muscles flexing along his temples as he chews.
Exhaustion, your constant companion, stares you down alongside him. It would take so much more energy to fight him than to go along with whatever he has planned. Energy you just don’t have anymore. And going along doesn’t mean you have to pretend to enjoy yourself—it’s not like you care enough about Johnny’s self-esteem to conjure up a happy face to show him.
You can go, and be a bitch about it, and once you do maybe he’ll realize you’re not at all worth the effort he’s making, and then finally leave you alone.
“Fine,” you say, which is how you end up on a fishing trawler headed south toward, ostensibly, a colony of breeding seals.
It’s an old vessel—that much is obvious. Its edges and corners are dull with the passage of time and constant maintenance, scuffed by innumerable passes-over with cleaner and cloth. Mildew competes with the aroma of fresh varnish as Johnny leads you onto the bridge, which is mercifully closed in from the ocean wind.
The interior is mostly wood of a warm, orangish variety—you can’t tell if that’s a decision made with aesthetics or function in mind. The space comprises a kitchen, surprisingly well-appointed with a stove, sink, countertop, and fridge, and a small sitting area with both couch and booth seating. Surrounding windows allow in the grey light of the morning.
“Bought it off an old bloke on Lewis,” Johnny says, taking his place at the wheel, which is in a little alcove off the kitchen.
If you’d thought steering a boat would have curtailed his chatting, you’d have been wrong—he seems to have no trouble with that and talking, incessantly, at the same time, as he pulls the vessel away from the cove and into the open water.
“All his family moved to the mainland, he told me, an’ this is after generations fishin’ these islands, even makin’ it through the Clearances! No money in it anymore, he said, not like you could make in some office somewhere countin’ someone else’s money.” He checks something on the dashboard in front of him, but it doesn’t distract him for long. “Held on for a while, but people just kept leavin,’ an’ he was gettin’ too old to go out on his own. Got such a good price on it, I think he was just happy someone else was gonna take up the tradition.”
“Did he sell you the cottage too?” you ask, and then dig your nails into your wrist for encouraging him.
“Yup,” he says. “No one else wanted it, but me? I saw somethin’ special about it.”
He turns to smile at you—no doubt pleased you made the connection. You avert your gaze.
“Imagine someday I’ll have my own family here,” he continues. “Good place for it. Nice and slow, not like city living. Can hear yourself think out here. Perfect place to have a few wee ones.”
“If people stop leaving,” you mutter.
He turns to you again. “I’m no’ worried about that,” he replies. He’s still smiling. “You came here, after all.”
You have nothing to say to that.
The trip is a short one—Johnny brings the trawler alongside an island he informs you is called Mingulay, a square mile smaller than Vatersay’s tiny dot in the North Atlantic. Unlike the latter, he says, this island has not been inhabited since 1912, and has been completely reclaimed by the ocean and its wildlife.
After he drops anchor offshore, Johnny disappears down a steep flight of stairs below deck, which he had not offered a tour of, and emerges a short time later with a large, bulky coat.
“Didn’t I tell you?” he says proudly, holding it out by the shoulders. “Here, turn ‘round.”
You pause in the middle of reaching for it. You don’t know exactly why you comply—it occurs to you that if you grabbed for the jacket, he could simply not let go of it, and you would end up exactly where he wants you anyway. So you lower your arm and, resigned, give him your back.
He steps up behind you. Warmth pours off of him, more than you think any human body should be able to generate.
You hear him inhale, deeply, as he brings the jacket to your back. As you slide your arms into the sleeves, you feel his exhale on the nape of your neck, teasing through individual follicles of hair.
“There w’go,” he murmurs, much closer than you expected.
You can hear the low hum of his voice in his chest; his hands linger on your shoulders far longer than they need to, heavy, big enough that his index fingers brush along your collarbones.
When his hands make to slide down your back you step away from him and fumble to zip the jacket up; he chuckles lightly behind you. When you turn to face him, his lips are curled—smug.
“Alright then,” he says. “Let’s get out there.”
He rows the two of you to shore in a small kayak, two pairs of binoculars in your lap as you huddle away from the wind. You’ll be walking to the haul-out, he says—getting too close to the breeding grounds, which he calls a rookery, would spook them, possibly causing a stampede.
“It’s grey seals we’re gonna see,” he explains as the two of you pick your way across the rocky landscape. “Not the biggest haul-out you could see, some colonies get into the thousands, but we’ll have it all to ourselves.”
He insists on taking your elbow every time the two of you cross particularly uneven terrain, even though you don’t need it. You think he takes your attempts to shake him off as proof of your lack of balance, because he grasps you all the tighter every time.
“I’m not a child, Johnny, I can walk on my own,” you finally snap at him.
“Just bein’ a gentleman, bonnie,” he replies nonchalantly. He does not let you go.
As you get closer, you hear the seals before you see them, and when their voices reach you across the open island, you stop dead.
Groaning, grunting, hissing in a cacophonous chorus. Some part of your hindbrain double-takes, reshuffles itself—some ancestral instinct always on the lookout for predation. If you’d been given a chance to guess what a colony of mating seals might have sounded like, you’re not sure you could have guessed what they sounded like.
Certainly not like what you hear now—
Like people.
Johnny grins at you when he notices. “Aye, it’s a right ruckus, innit?”
He leads you up a small rise, where he has the two of you settle belly-down over the machair to overlook the wedge of rocky coast that the colony has claimed for its own.
And when you finally see it—it’s underwhelming.
Perhaps two hundred long, fat bodies, in varying shades of brown and grey, lay indolently along the rocks, in groups of three or four, some heavily galumphing from one place to another while others roll occasionally from side to side. The shifting winds catch their scent and blow it uncaringly into your face; you nearly gag at the admixture of dead fish and ammonia.
It doesn’t escape you that this is a rare thing to witness; you are not wholly immune to the fact that you are only a hundred meters away from something most people only encounter on a screen. It’s just that without a swell of awed music in the backdrop, or a narrator’s breathless wonder at the miracle of pinniped life, what’s left for you to observe is a population of wet, stinking animals, shitting where they lay, vocalizing without cease while they laze about doing basically nothing.
Johnny does not seem to notice your disillusionment; he hands you one pair of binoculars, and directs your attention to activity along the shoreline. You follow to where he’s pointing; one larger seal is hassling a smaller one, which snarls at the aggressor as it thrashes around with its substantial bulk.
“Little one there—” Johnny says, “that’s a female, probably obvious. Big one knows she’s ready to mate, can smell it on her.”
The female bares her teeth and lunges at the bigger male, which flinches back but holds his ground.
“Doesn’t look like she agrees,” you mutter.
“She’s just givin’ him a hard time. She’s all in heat, see? Just makes her cranky,” Johnny says. You feel his eyes on you, and lower your binoculars to look at him. “She’s got to fight to feel all in control.”
You flush. “Right.”
“You don’t think so?”
“No,” you say. “He’s—he’s just bothering her.”
He gazes at you for a moment, contemplative. Corners of his mouth quirking upward. He does not reply for a long moment, long enough that you have to avert your gaze from his.
“Nah,” he finally says, and you don’t think you’re imagining the low, sultry note in his voice. “She wants it bad as he does.”
You scowl, uncomfortably perceived, and return your binoculars—the pair is still facing off, gurgling and growling at each other. The female is slim, almost sleek, unlike most of the other seals populating the rookery.
“Is she sick?” you ask.
“Hm? Oh, no, she’s alright. The mums lose a lot of weight when they nurse. Takes three weeks, and they don’t eat in the meantime.”
“Jesus.”
“Be nice if the dads ever brought ‘em a bite, aye?” Johnny agrees. “Deadbeats, the lot of them.”
The two of you survey the colony in silence for a moment. As the morning wears on, the cloud covering thins overhead, allowing cool sunlight to filter through. The temperature doesn’t rise in response; begrudgingly, you tug Johnny’s jacket a little tighter around you.
Then, suddenly, his hand lands on your back, between your shoulder blades.
“Got some pups over there,” he says. “Look, by the kelp.”
You find them; smaller bodies, white dinged with wet sand and dirt, lounge near their mothers or wriggle with aimless difficulty. They’re fluffy and round as plush toys, with shining black eyes and noses, and once Johnny’s pointed them out you can differentiate the higher, sweeter pitch of their cries from the overall cacophony.
“Sometimes,” Johnny murmurs, “search and rescue’ll get called out because someone thought they heard a baby crying. Some kid stranded or lost, right? Turns out to be a baby seal.”
“That’s kind of scary,” you say.
“Aye,” says Johnny. “Always makes me think that’s where the old legends come from, about seal people or mermaids.”
A small ways away, some of the mothers lay with their pups far into the surf, letting the waves break over them. You watch as one mother thunks her large head overtop of her pup’s as the water rushes toward them; the pup wriggles, and then, as the wave engulfs them, it begins to thrash, whipping up a panicked froth.
“Time for swimming lessons already?” Johnny muses. “Seems early.”
You’re horrified. “She’s going to drown it!”
The hand still on your back pats you consolingly. “Just watch,” says Johnny.
The wave reaches as far up the shore as gravity allows, and then begins to recede. The pup’s thrashing calms as the air meets its face once again; the cow allows the pup to lift its head, and after a few sputters, the pup seems no worse for wear.
“They’re hardier than they look, bonnie,” Johnny says.
His hand, heavy and warm even over his borrowed jacket, slides down from your shoulders to your lower back, and then he rubs, slowly, side to side, as if to comfort you—but the knobs of your spine contract at his touch.
“Last of the births this season, looks like,” he says. “Mum’s getting ready to leave—probably not the only one.”
Something hard drops into your stomach.
“They leave their babies?” you ask.
“Aye. Once they’re done nursing, they mate, and then they go.”
You look back at the other cows with their pups. One baby has its muzzle to its mother’s belly, quivering and suckling, while she lays with her head on a patch of grass. She looks uninterested—more, she looks disinterested. As if how voraciously her pup is nursing has nothing much to do with her, and she’s bored of even having to think about it.
Bored—and already looking forward to the next part of her life without a baby in it.
“That’s horrible,” you say.
“They’re solitary animals, bonnie,” Johnny says, not ungently. “The only time they’re really all together is for this.”
A line tightens between your stomach and throat, and you feel it start to build between your ribs. A tremor—foreshocks. The wind picks up, bringing a sharp chill off the ocean and up the rise that cuts into your stinging eyes, abrades the naked skin of your hands and the exposed part of your neck.
When you look through your binoculars again, you wonder how many of the pups you see have already been abandoned.
“Aw, bonnie,” Johnny says. There’s a kind of pity in his voice that has your hackles raising.
“I want to leave,” you say, yanking away from his touch and shuffling down the incline. “Take me back to the cottage.”
“Bonnie, it’s okay!” Johnny protests, rolling to his back to look at you as you stand. “The pups make it, they figure out how to fend for themselves.”
You glare at him, vision blurring. “All of them?”
Some part of you knows you’re being irrational—knows that nature is a cruel home, and that many children face worse fates than the seal pups. Abandoning the young, the needy, is no aberration; it is, in fact, far more the standard than the human practice, which lingers for decades—
Most of the time.
Johnny has no response. He holds your angry gaze, brows drawn low, mouth pressed into a thin line. It’s the first time that cocky aura, which seems to rest in every fine line on his face and every angle at which he holds his body, is completely absent.
He isn’t reflecting your anger back at you, though—he’s internalizing it. Letting it hit him, you think, and trying to use it to figure you out.
You do not want to be figured out.
You scoff again. “Take me back,” you repeat, and then you start walking in the direction you came, without waiting for him to follow.
Johnny drops you off in the cove, and thankfully does not linger this time before he departs—he bids you farewell after rowing you to shore, contemplation on his face, and then leaves you to yourself.
You retreat, seeking the cottage’s empty quiet.
As you perch on the couch you listen to the radiator hum—the wind blow over the reeds in the thatch roof—your own heart beating a drum in the arteries of your neck.
Percussive. Quick and hard. Like heavy knockers on a door. Pounding as if to burst through.
You realize you’re still wearing Johnny’s jacket, and you throw it off, disgusted with yourself. You get up and pace, and try to ignore it lying in a heap on the floor.
You do something you swore you wouldn’t do the moment you set foot on the island—you turn your phone back on.
True to Johnny’s word, there’s no signal. You picked this island, this part of the world, for a reason; for the past several years, a slow exodus from the British isles has vacated the need for dedicated cell towers or satellite or internet access, especially given that the only ones who remain are too old now to want it or need it or know how to use it.
It’s isolated. Cut off. Left behind by anyone with better options, and only clung to by those trying to preserve the only way of life they know.
Some kinder part of you belongs with that demographic; the part that was telling your mother the truth, before getting on the plane.
The rest of you holds your phone up and starts walking around.
In the furthest corner in the bedroom, you find a single bar of signal. A tiny chip of connectivity—a thin, frayed thread. Something you lied to yourself about cutting.
It’s a weak connection. Unstable. It could take a while—you stand there, waiting.
The screen dims. You tap it again.
Blank.
You unlock it, look through your apps. Wonder if maybe your notifications are bugged by your new SIM card.
Nothing—
No one.
You whip around and, with a cry, pitch the thing at the far wall—it hits the stone with a crunch, falling to the floor in pieces.
You’re out of the cottage then in a mad dash, door slamming behind you, driving yourself back into the wind. Far away—you want to be far away, far from everything, so far that nothing could possibly reach you. You trudge down the path toward the beach, banding your arms across your chest, shivering in the cold, and yet you hardly feel it.
Not worth it. No point. Waste of your time. Energy. All of it. Stop trying. Stop wanting. Nothing. Nothing. You want nothing.
You’re halfway down to the shore, not really knowing what you’re going to do when you get there, when you catch sight of a body on the sand.
You gasp, a sharp breath down your larynx, and freeze in a dead halt.
The body is completely still.
A swimmer? A diver? It’s dark, like it just pulled itself out of the ocean—or washed up—
Then, it moves. A twitch, a ripple across its bulk, and your chest rapidly decompresses.
A seal. It’s a large seal, lounging alone on the beach.
You stand motionless. You’re very close—much closer than you and Johnny had been at the rookery. You hadn’t contended with the sheer size of the animals, tucked safely up and away from them, but there is no illusion of distance now.
It’s the biggest one you’ve seen today, you’re sure of it. Bigger, you think, than most adult men. Its pelt is a riot of every shade of grey, splashy, like liquid paint thrown across a canvas. Black speckles scatter overtop of marbled white and cool slate, and down the center of its back is a broad, dark line, soft at the edges, which reaches all the way up to the top of the seal’s head.
The bull—it must be male—turns over. It lifts its head, and opens its eyes—
Fear suddenly zips up your spine as it looks right at you.
You stumble backward and trip on your own feet, landing hard on your ass. Johnny’s care with keeping enough distance from the colony rushes back to you, along with the warring couple’s bared teeth.
They can’t move that fast on land, right? They aren’t interested in people, right?
You scramble backward. It’s so much bigger than you ever would have imagined. If it got to you—threw itself over you—it could crush you with its weight alone—
The bull watches you placidly. Unperturbed.
You pause.
Its small eyes are dark and glossy—watchful and focused. The whiskers on its muzzle twitch a little as it takes you in. It breathes, deeply and evenly, huge body expanding and contracting at a slow, calm tempo. Its—his—nostrils flex, widening and narrowing, as he blinks docilely.
Unafraid.
If anything—curious.
Then he snorts, and wriggles in place. It startles a laugh out of you, more reaction than humor. Still watching you, the bull lowers his head back down, resting it again on the sand.
Your heartbeat abates. He doesn’t move again—nor does his attention leave you. Slowly, you sit up.
Wary. No sudden movements.
He doesn’t react; only continues to watch you.
You draw your knees up. Wrap your arms around your shins, and dust a bit of sand from your leggings. Rest your chin in the crevice between your knees.
There’s an intelligence in the bull’s eyes that is fathoms deep. There is a massive gulf between his experience of the world and yours, millennia of evolution separating your species from his—and yet…as you hold his gaze, you recognize the look in it.
Him, seeing you. And seeing you see him. The pendulum swinging between awareness of each other, and recognition of that shared awareness.
An empty space in the cloud cover passes overhead; sunlight touches the earth, warms it briefly before disappearing again. You wonder a little why this bull isn’t with the other seals.
Johnny would probably know.
“I didn’t come for you, you know,” you grumble at him.
The seal blinks. Awareness notwithstanding, you don’t share any language.
You sigh. “I guess you didn’t come to see me either,” you say.
But you don’t move away.
And you stay like that for a long while, you and he—regarding each other as the wind breathes out across the shore.

“Mr. Barnes, your wife is here to see you.”
Bucky stands behind his large mahogany desk and runs a hand along his jaw.
“Send her in.”
You walk through the door with a flourish and a smile.
“Hi Buck,” you sing.
“Doll face,” he greets, his smile playful as it teases his lips. “Missed me that much?”
He calls you over with a crook of his finger and pulls you in a for a kiss.
“Always,” you whisper against his lips. “You’ve been working late every night this week and we haven’t had lunch once!”
You pout but he kisses it off your lips.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t meet you today. This new account is a real pain in my ass.”
His fingers gently stroke your cheek before pressing under your chin to hold your face to his for more kisses.
“I know,” you say, “I brought you some food and thought we could at least spend our lunch hour together.”
You plop the takeout bag on the corner of his desk and then slip around him to sit in his leather chair.
He turns and leans back against the desk, studying you. Just as he’s about to say something his phone rings. He reaches for it, answering with an indifferent “yes.”
With a nod he starts speaking into the phone, clearly talking about this new ‘pain in the ass’ account. His jaw tenses and his fingers tighten around the receiver showing his clear annoyance over the disruption.
You cross your legs, and his eyes track the movement, lingering before he motions for you to stand.
He reaches forward, pen poised between his finger and thumb, and uses the tip to lift the hem of your skirt.
It’s slow and deliberate and when he sees the lace of your stockings and the garter belt his eyes widen.
They move up your body, darkening as they travel, and your heart begins to beat faster.
“No, no,” he says sternly into the phone. “Nothing like that…”
You fall back into his chair and spread your legs, hiking the skirt up to your hips.
“Yes, I understand,” he says, his voice deeper and slightly hoarse now.
Your fingertips trace the lines of the garter, along your bare skin to the silk of your panties.
“Yes,” he continues into the phone, eyes locked on your every move.
You throw him a false saccharine smile and pull your bottom lip between your teeth as you push your panties aside and run two fingers along your wet skin.
He coughs and grabs his water, taking a large sip.
“That’s fine, Steve. We can work with that timeline.”
The plastic bottle crushes under the weight of his grip, and your smile turns devilish. You begin moving your fingers, your eyes falling closed and head dropping back against the chair.
You imagine his long fingers doing the work, touching you, grabbing your hips. A tiny moan escapes, and you think about his taut arm muscles, strained and flexing as he moves his fingers inside you…his eyes, dark and pleading.
You look up to see them exactly as that, his gaze drifting from your face to the hand between your legs. His hungry expression moves back to your face, and he watches you fall apart with his name on your parted lips.
It’s overwhelming and unsatisfying: you need it to be his touch.
At some point, he ended the call, and now your heavy breathing is too loud for the quiet room as he sits across from you on the desk, his free hand gripping the edge so hard his knuckles are turning white.
“Fuck doll,” he growls. “Look what you do to me.”
He adjusts himself in his pants and you see the straining outline of his cock pressed along the tight fabric.
You grin and start to straighten yourself out.
“Pretty sure I just did that to myself…”
His eyes sparkle and he lifts his brows. “Should have been me.”
“Obviously. And now our lunch is over, and I have to go back to work.”
You stand and smooth down your skirt.
“Like hell you’re goin’ back to work,” he whisper shouts.
Your only response is to grab his tie and yank his lips down to yours before you walk through his door and down the hall, your heels clicking until you disappear onto the elevator. His loud, “fuck!” the last thing you hear.
The moment you step off the elevator you have a text from him.
“I’m picking you up at work. Five sharp. And I don’t want to hear shit about it.”
You smile but don’t respond, shoving your phone back into your bag and heading out through the double doors to your own office building.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/91f964833964241d345ca220b55c4df0/b7e96ff8ea20406d-b3/s540x810/782f5d07db8fff335329f23e9f7f231eaed57925.jpg)
It’s five on the dot and you look out your office window, noticing the sleek black car that pulls up right in front. Deciding to take your time, you tidy up your desk and gather your things, stepping out to meet him at about eight minutes after five.
“You’re late,” Bucky says when he gets out to hold the door open for you.
With a demure shrug you slide into the seat and watch him breeze around the car. He doesn’t drive away from the curb, and you look over to see his nostrils flared.
“Aren’t you going to take me home?”
“Get in the backseat.”
You blink several times and stare.
“What?”
“You heard me. Get in the backseat. Now.”
He reaches over to unbuckle the seatbelt for you, waiting with heated eyes for you to do as you’re told.
“You want to play doll. We’ll play.”
You smirk and start to climb over the middle console to the plush and spacious leather seats in the back. He lands a hard smack to your ass when you pass by, and you let out a squeal as you fall against the soft material.
He pushes through the middle, his tie hanging loosely in the air, and you grab it, pulling him on top of you. With a growl he kisses you, rough and without patience. He wastes no time pulling your shirt free of your skirt and ripping the buttons apart until it falls open to reveal your lacy bra.
“All day. All fucking day,” he murmurs.
“All day what?” you sass against his lips as you work open his pants.
“I’ve been hard and thinking about nothing else but burying myself between your legs.”
His hands wander over your skin, and he slips them under your skirt, pushing it up to your hips and then tracing the delicate little ribbons on the edge of your stockings.
You pull his chest to yours and kiss him, long and deep, gaining more urgency with every inch of skin uncovered.
You rip his shirt from his pants and explore the skin over his ribs, the sharp definition of muscle at his hips, and the soft trail of hair that disappears into his boxer briefs.
He groans into your mouth and deftly unhooks your garter belt, peeling your panties down and spreading your legs.
Pulling your leg forward you push him back and off you, sitting up so you can shove him against the seat back and straddle his lap.
With frantic hands you reach down and take him between your fingers, guiding his cock into you. Your eyes close as you slowly slide down every thick inch of him.
“Oh my god,” you moan.
You start to ride him, the pain of his rough fingertips on your hips only fueling you on. His sounds of pleasure are muffled between your breasts, and he pulls one bra cup down to close his mouth around your hardened nipple.
Your palm hits the dark tinted window and slides down from the condensation, but your hips don’t falter, and you hear him moan out your name.
“Fuck, I’m gonna come if you keep that up doll.”
He lifts you off him and roughly throws you down onto the seat. Pushing your legs apart he thrusts back in and picks one of your legs up over his shoulder.
“Oh fuck, yes.”
“Yeah doll?”
He smirks down at you and reaches out to grip the door frame and uses it for leverage, pushing deeper.
“Is this how you like it? This is what you get for showin’ up in my office and teasing me like that.”
“No,” you sass back and lift your hips to meet his. “I like it harder Bucky.”
“Fuck,” he murmurs.
The windows are completely fogged and your slick skin slides along the leather seats. You watch as his body strains with effort, the tendons in his neck pulled tight and you slip your legs off his shoulders, tugging all his weight on top of you, pleading over and over for more.
“Anything,” he growls. “I’ll give you anything.”
Your nails dig into his back, and you cry out his name. He swears, loud and deep and stutters above you.
With a satisfied sigh he collapses, burying his face in your neck. You can’t resist running your hands through his hair, feeling his heart race against your chest. You lay there together in the cramped space, breathing each other in until he lifts his head and your eyes lock.
“I love you baby,” he whispers against your lips.
“Love you too Buck.”
“Come on,” he says, gently helping you up and fixing what he can of your clothing. His touch is a soft caress, and you lean into it.
“Let’s get you home doll. I’ll make dinner and then you can be my dessert.”

Yo, Wanna Hang Out?
Billy asking people if they want to hang out at the strangest places. They hang out with him anyways regardless of the places are strange.
Marvel: *in the kitchens packing up a fishing kit looking like someone’s dad getting ready to fish*
Aquaman: *nearby, making a sandwich* “You know, I’ve never seen you wear a bucket hat let alone civilian clothes before.”
Marvel: “What do you mean? It’s a fisherman’s hat. And I’m wearing it because I’m gonna go fishing.”
Aquaman: “Still a bucket hat…”
Martian Manhunter(MM): *also nearby, rummaging through the freezer looking for ice cream* “Fishing? Where?”
Aquaman: “Are you gonna go to a big lake or something?”
Marvel: “Yeah! I’m going to the frozen over one on Mars.”
MM: *looks over, now distracted from his quest of finding ice cream* “What-”
Marvel: “The fish there are so cool looking! I was gonna catch a few and then throw them back into the water, you know?”
MM: “No… No I don’t know.” *shakes head slowly*
Aquaman: “Wait, Mars has lakes?”
Marvel: “Yeah! In the south pole. It’s under some ice. Do you wanna come?”
Aquaman: “Well, I mean sure? I’m down to fish with you, but I don’t wanna do that if I have to wear a space suit.”
Marvel: “I don’t think you have to. I remember seeing Supes wearing this thing over his mouth and nose, and it allowed him to breathe in space.”
Aquaman: “Oh cool!”
Marvel: “Yeah, but apparently it’s super cold down there.”
MM: “It is. In human degrees it’s negative 153 degrees Celsius.”
Aquaman: “What’s that in American-”
Marvel: “So yeah! You might have to bundle up or maybe I could cast the heating spell on you? Just know it’ll be really really cold. By the way, J’onn, are you coming too?”
MM: *shrugs* “If you’ll have me.”
They ended up actually getting attacked by this giant, Martian, vaguely octopus-resembling creature. It was an epic battle of which they brought some of it back to the Watchtower and ate a bunch of octopus dishes together.
or
Marvel: *packing some stuff in a little bag and whistling a little tune while dressed like a gardener*
Hawkgirl: “Captain? Are you going somewhere?”
Marvel: “Oh, I’m going to Thanagar cause I wanna pick up this species of plant that only grows there. Wanna come?”
Hawkgirl: “I sort of can’t, considering the fact the entire planet thinks I’m a war criminal for betraying them.”
Marvel: “Wear a disguise. Want me to conjure a fake mustache on you?”
Hawkgirl: *snorts* “No.”
Marvel: “You sure? It doesn’t have to be a fake mustache. We can just change some things about you, like your hair color.”
Hawkgirl: “Hmm…” *rubs her chin, thinking* “Can Carter come along?”
Marvel: “Of course!”
They got caught and ended up going on this wacky adventure of evading the authorities. They even got arrested. Multiple times. They also broke out. Multiple times. It was fun for everyone involved besides the Thanagarian Law Enforcement.
or
Marvel: *humming a tune as he stands inside of a heavily restricted building that only allows people of the highest military clearance access to*
Captain Atom: *is also here because one of his superiors told him to report here and sees Marvel* “Captain Marvel Sir? What are you-” *looks around* “What are you doing here?”
Marvel: “Hey, Atom!” *little wave* “What do you mean?”
Captain Atom: “This is a military building with restricted access. I know you have Captain in your name, but I didn’t actually think you were in any of the branches. Let alone high enough in whatever branch to have access to this place.”
Marvel: “Oh no, I’m not military. I’m just here to renew my contract. I just finished.”
Captain Atom: “Contract?”
Marvel: “See a long time ago, a.k.a. the 1950s, heroes would do contractual jobs for the United States Government. Me and the Squadron of Justice used to do a lot of them.”
Captain Atom: “So that means I’ll be seeing you around here more often?”
Marvel: “Yep! Me and the other Fawcett heroes.”
Super Duper High Level Person In the Government(SDHLPITG): *walks over while holding a clipboard* “Oh, it seems you both are already acquainted.”
Captain Atom: “Ah, yes. We’re both on the Justice League ma’am.”
SDHLPITG: “So that means you’ll be good teammates. Wonderful.” *hands a clipboard to Captain Atom* “The head honcho wants you guys to investigate a portal in Antartica.” *looks to Marvel* “Your first job back with us.” *nods to him before leaving*
Captain Atom: *starts looking through it*
Marvel: *looks over his shoulder to see it* “Isn’t that the portal that leads to the Winter Fairy realm?”
Captain Atom: “What?”
Marvel: “Oh my gosh it is! That place is super cool! Their ice cream is amazing. You should try some.” *nudges him with his elbow*
Captain Atom: “Oh- uh- Okay?” *confused if that means they’ll be interacting with the mentioned fairies*
That’s how Atom and Marvel ended up eating fairy ice cream while surrounded by a bunch of fairies who were all super happy to see the Champion of Magic. They were both made into honorary fairies.
Captain Atom: *staring at the bowl of fairy liquid the Winter Fairies gave them* “Marvel… I don’t know if it’s a good idea to drink a foreign substance that looks like an oil spill.”
Marvel: “Oh trust me, it’s not dangerous or anything. It’ll just give you wings!”
Captain Atom: “What-”
Marvel: *downs his bowl*
After that, all the Winter fairies shied away from them as their wings were too hot for them. After all, Marvel’s was comprised of lightning which is hot, and Atom’s was comprised of the same matter as his energy blasts which were also extremely hot.
Marvel: *leans over to whisper* “Don’t worry. I can magic them away when we leave this place.”
Captain Atom: *lets out a little sigh of relief as he resumes eating his remaining ice cream*

![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/00e743ee24250dd942c33fdf8af15d51/b004404c1bc0608f-ab/s540x810/03cd5eefe4735c690268f48440eaa5d357bb8ad2.jpg)
“hey jiji, i’m coming in.” you slide the door open, bags in hand with many medicine bottles and bundles of oranges, after all vitamin c is the cure to all things. your eyes shift around the room, eyeing the clothes on the floor and his bed mostly empty– save for the large mound of blankets in the middle that was jihoon.
he was underneath it all, knees tucked all the way up to his chin and in fetal position. he felt the mattress dip under your weight and the warm bubble he had created under 3 layers of blankets burst as you lifted them off his head.
“hey.. it's cold.. give them back.” he whined softly, his voice hoarse from the sore throat he had gotten from having to walk back home in the pouring rain, “i’ll tuck you back in a second, jiji, just let me give you some medicine–” you rummage through the plastic bag and grab a bottle of nyquil, “have you eaten yet? i brought some oranges from my place if you can’t stomach full meals yet.” jihoon shakes his head slowly and snakes his arms around your stomach and pulls himself closer to your warmth, treating you like a heater. “not yet…. could you peel the orange for me, please?” he elongates the end of the word in a cute tone that makes your cheeks heat up.
you happily peel the oranges’ skin off for him, puncturing the thick layer with your nail and pulling it back a couple times. “here, i’ll even feed you since i’m feeling generous today.” you giggle before popping a slice in his mouth. jihoon chews on the slice and sees you peeling the strings of the white membrane off the pieces you're about to feed him, “thank you, you didn't have to come here to take care of me..” he says as you slide another piece of orange in his mouth, “these are great.”
you smile as you push back the pieces of damp hair that have stuck to the sweat of his forehead, and rest your hand in his hair, “but i wanted to. i can’t let my favorite person in the world suffer alone, can i? this is the least i could do for you, jiji.” your thumb caresses his forehead and you plant a small kiss right in the center, “plus–” you feed him the last piece of orange, “this means i get to spend time with you. even if you’re sick and sleeping half the time.”
you grab and unscrew the cap from the nyquil, pouring to just about half of the measuring cup, “here, take this.” he props himself up for a second on his elbow, albeit wobbly. you pinch his chin in between your fingers and lift his head up, pouring the medicine down his throat. he pulls back and his face twists for a second– jihoons never liked the taste of nyquil, and he motions for the half empty bottle of water on his nightstand and downs the rest of it.
“can’t they make it taste good, god, that was terrible..” he shakes his head before laying back down and snaking his arm around you again, pulling you closer to him. you smile and rub up and down his back, “relax, it’s not that bad. besides, you only take it like, 2 times a day.” with your free hand, you dig into your bag of citrus’ and pull out a large orange to peel and feed him.
jihoon hums and rubs circles into your side with his thumb, your warmth keeping him comfort, and while he won’t say it out loud– he appreciates you taking the trip to his apartment and taking care of him, even if all he has is a fever.

In which Danny wakes up in a weird place.... again.
The thing about Danny, is that he often wakes up in really, really weird situations. Like way more than you'd think, way more than he'd even like, really. He doesn't get that much sleep, being y'know, half ghost, and with school work and having to fight "The Forces of Evil" half the time it gets kind of... tedious, balancing things like sleep and eating and even getting water in him.
It's not really a good thing, but he started carrying around a water bottle he can clip to his bag. It reminds him to at least drink something, when he doesn't have time to grab anything to eat.
But because of all that fun stuff, the not sleeping and not eating and things, he often finds himself taking... unplanned naps. Waking up on the floor, his bed, his desk, one time even in his locker, but that was before his growth spurt. He's a little too big for that now.
Of course, this might take the cake, in terms of weird places he's woken up. He's never been to Gotham, that he remembers, and he certainly has never been to the Wayne Manor. He'd remember that, he thinks, what with the grand architecture, the giant paintings of random people with pearl necklaces and suits... yeah he'd know if he'd been here before.
"Ah, you are awake."
He tries really, really hard not to react to the sudden, aged voice next to him. It sounds like a nice guy, mature and soft like a wool blanket. But he has no idea where he is, when it is, anything, so in one second he's still on the big bed (which it is a BIG bed) and the next he's... well.
Floating ten feet in the air with his fist raised.
To his credit, the older gentleman staring up at him merely blinks, then sighs. "Another enhanced fellow, I suppose. Of course you are."
It's enough to lower Danny's hackles, his confusion growing the amount of time it takes to slowly float back to the floor.
"Can I uh... Can I ask where I am?"
The older man gives him a look. "You, young man, are in the Wayne family home. I'll ask you not to touch anything until the young Master gets back."
That... didn't really clear anything up, if Danny was being real. So he tried again. "Can I ask, uh. Why I'm here, sir?"
Mama didn't raise a ruffian with no manners.
Another sigh, the older man looking like he wanted to go take a nap himself. "I am not fully sure, myself. Young Master Damian found you, I suppose, and brought you here. You have been unconscious for a day or so."
Well. That was concerning all on it's own. Who was Damian? Was he a Wayne? Why was Danny in Gotham at all, he didn't remember a field trip or anything involving Vlad.
He might have started panicking if there wasn't the sudden, entirely too enticing smell of pancakes suddenly under his nose.
"You're entirely too skinny, young man. It's breakfast time." The older gentleman said, holding a tray of wayyy too much food for one person in front of Danny, and really...
What was he gonna do? Deny the man?
He would have to figure out what the hell was going on, later. Right now he had a date with the nicest looking spread he'd ever seen.
"And young man, you may call me Alfred."
Danny grinned, gently taking the tray from him and setting it on a nearby table. "Danny. It's good to meet you."
"Hmm." Alfred mumbled. "I certainly hope so, Master Danny. I certainly hope so."

PART 1 HERE
Spencer turned on the seat warmers as soon as he turned on the car, but not too hot - you mentioned a year ago how easily you got warm. He looked over at you before putting the car into reverse, a million thoughts racing through his mind.
He could feel your tension in the air, you were mainly quiet, you sniffled once, you tightened your ponytail. It was a coping mechanism, if you could control the state of your hair, you could control the state of your body.
Leaving the grocery store parking lot, Spencer cleared his throat and started doing what he did best: talking.
“Did you know that your brain is constantly eating itself? It’s a form of phagocytosis, but it actually isn’t harmful. What’s more harmful is laughing, many people have actually died from laughing because it can cause loss of oxygen and heart attacks.”
You simply looked at him, eyes slightly wider than before as your cheeks threatened to raise in a smile.
“Thank you, but that just kind of made me more stressed,” you looked back onto the road, “Tell me more about fruits.”
“You can never get too much sugar from fruits, the water contents of the fruit slows down your digestion and makes you feel full. Plums, pears, peaches, and apples are all a part of the rose family. Tomatoes have more genes than we do.”
He glanced over to you, to see if you were still listening, which of course you were. You would never interrupt him, you would never stop listening, you would never stop Spencer.
He continued, quieter this time, “You don’t like tomatoes.”
“No, I don’t.”
Spencer opened the door for you and shoved his keys in his pockets, his scent surrounding you as you entered the familiar apartment. It was cozy and cluttered. Stacks of books and papers created tables for lamps and the odd pot plant, the wooden floors creaked in some places and the carpet under the couch had one stain from where you spilt wine that one time.
It smelt clean, and like Spencer. You smiled to yourself, and put your handbag on a side table, looking around what you considered your second home (after your childhood house).
“I always liked your apartment better than mine.”
Spencer swerved around you and placed the grocery bag on the kitchen counter, turning on the warm ceiling light. “Why’s that?”
He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he glanced around his apartment - it didn’t seem all that spectacular to him.
You shrugged, sitting on a stool on the other side of the counter, “I don’t know, I guess it just… feels safe.”
So your apartment doesn’t? Spencer bit his tongue, not wanting to bring you any more stress than you were already suppressing.
The tests were still in the bag and they brought your attention like a moth to a light. You stood and joined him on the kitchen side, grabbing a glass (the one with strawberries on it) and filling it with water. Spencer looked at you concerned as you chugged the water in two gulps.
“I gotta pee some how.”
He nodded and clenched his jaw, “You can change into some of my clothes if you want.”
You thanked him, filled the cup back up and took it into his bedroom, starting your search for comfortable clothes that could maybe ease your tension.
He glanced at his bedroom door anxiously. Spencer was glad that you weren’t feeling as nervous, but he knew it wouldn’t last for much longer. Especially when your phone suddenly rings on the kitchen counter with ‘Lloyd’ on the screen.
“Uh, Y/n? Lloyd’s calling.”
Your shoulders hiked as you smoothed out one of his purple sweaters over your hips. An audible gulp echoed in your ears, and you yelled back through the door, “You can answer it.”
"Hello?" Spencer nearly whispered. "Where are you- Spencer?" "Uh, yeah. Hi." "Is Y/n at your apartment? Why is she at your apartment?" Lloyd’s voice raised. Spencer glanced into his bedroom, the door closed, the sounds of your shuffling around filling the otherwise silent space. "Yeah, she's at my apartment-" "God, she always at your's, isn't she? Tell her to go home, I need to talk to her. She's going crazy. Says she's pregnant, it's insane." He furrowed his eyebrows and pinched the bridge of his nose, a wave of rage rushing over him. "She feels sick, and she's thought about it. She looks pretty stressed." "When does she not look stressed?" Lloyd hung up, leaving Spencer speechless and shocked. If this is what he says and acts like all the time, no wonder you're acting like you are. When she's with me. She's not stressed, when she's with me.
You emerged from his bedroom and Spencer’s eyes latched onto his purple sweater and some of his sweatpants covering your nervous body.
His heart palpitated.
“What did he want?” You took the last sip of your second cup of water and looked at the pregnancy tests on the counter.
“Just wondering where you were.”
You nearly laughed, as if.
“Okay well, I’m gonna go… pee on some sticks.” You sighed and grabbed the boxes, Spencer clenching his jaw and nodding.
“Do you want me to stay here? Or come with you?” He asked softly, treating you like a delicate feather. You looked into his warm and caring eyes and smiled shortly.
“Sure. Just close your eyes and ears when I pee.”

music thumped in the background as you swayed slightly, your laughter spilling over the rim of your half-empty glass. you had definitely had one too many, but the warm buzz made the crowded room feel like a cozy bubble. when the call from your close friend, heeseung came through—his usual check-in—you quickly picked it up, giggling into the phone with a bubbly “hellloooooo!”
“where are you?” he asked, concern laced in his voice. “hmmm… i don’t remember,” you giggled to yourself as you answered. “are you drunk?” heeseung asked bluntly. more giggles escaped your lips: “i don’t think so!” heeseung pinched the bridge of his nose on the other end of the phone; your clearly drunk and clueless state is frustrating him. “i’m coming to get you.” is all that’s heard from heeseung before the phone is hung up abruptly. your brows furrow in confusion, but that quickly fades away when the next song comes on. you’re quick to jump right back into the crowd, dancing to the loud music.
heeseung arrived not long later, scanning the club for your presence. he pushes through the crowd of people and is finally met with your familiar silhouette. your back is turned, and you suddenly feel a hand on your shoulder. you turn and are met with the face of your close friend. the sight of him instantly sobering you up a bit, though the warmth of the alcohol still lingered. “y/n, let’s go,” he says firmly, his hand still gripping your shoulder. your skin tingled under the warmth of his hand, and you looked at him with your brows furrowed. “but i’m having so much fun,” you pouted. heeseung brought his other hand up to tuck some hair behind your ear. “i know, but it’s getting late, and i need to make sure you get home safely.” he looked down at you with all the adoration in the world, and you probably would’ve noticed immediately if it weren’t for your drunken state.
heeseung grabs your hand, a pout still present on your face, and he guides you through the sea of people and out the door. his hand still holding yours, he walks the both of you to his car, opening the door for you as he ushers you in. you sit down, and heeseung closes the door behind you, going around to the driver's side and getting in. he looks over at your figure, the lights of the car shining on your flushed face. he leans over the center console to grab your seatbelt, quickly buckling it before settling back into his seat and buckling his own. as you guys drove through the quiet streets, you felt a familiar flutter in your stomach. the city lights blurred outside, and you couldn't shake the feeling that you had something to say.
once you made it to your home, heeseung dug your keys out of your bag and opened the door, letting you go in first and shutting it behind him. you made your way to the kitchen and leaned against the counter, swaying slightly. heeseung leaned in, concern etched on his face. “are you okay?”
before you could even think, the words slipped out, “you know, sometimes i think about you when i touch myself.” a goofy smile splayed on your lips as giggles followed your sudden confession. heeseung’s eyes went wide, heat rising to his cheeks. he shook his head slightly. “y/n, you’re drunk.” you stuck your hand out in front of you, waving your finger. “im being serious heeseung, i get off faster when i picture your mouth on me,” you whine playfully, words slightly slurring together. the weight of your words, baring nothing on your conscience as they come out. heeseung shakes his head again, leaving your presence as he gets you a glass of water and some pain medicine. “take these, please,” he says as he takes his place back in front of your smaller frame. you shake your head at him, “don’t wanna.” your lips form a pout as you look at the boy in front of you, and he can’t help but roll his eyes.
before you know it, his thumb is on your bottom lip, applying slight pressure until your lips part just enough for the digit to hold your mouth open. he places the pill on your tongue, grabbing the water and gently pouring some in your mouth before closing your mouth and holding your chin. “swallow,” he says sternly, narrowing his eyes at you as you reluctantly take the medicine he just forced into your mouth. once you swallow the pill, you open your mouth and stick your tongue out, showing him that you’ve done what he asked. he nods his head in approval and hands you the water cup again. “don’t talk to me until you’ve finished this,” he says lightheartedly.
he stands in front of you as you drink the water, making sure you’ve emptied the cup. you finish your last sip with a quiet "ah,” and you look up at him. the light is shining on his face in such a way that has your heart racing, suddenly all more aware of his presence. your gaze trails from his eyes to his lips and back to his eyes again, a sudden wave of need hitting you as you press your thighs together. “heeseung,” your voice is just below a whisper. he tilts his head at you, a small smile on his lips. “yeah y/n?” the air thickened between you two, charging with possibilities. you hesitated, your desires on the tip of your tongue. “i need you,” you finally admit, meeting his gaze once again.
a heartbeat passed, and the world around you faded. heeseungs smile faltered, and you saw a flicker of something deeper in his eyes—desire. he reached out to you, hand brushing against your arm as he held onto you, sending shockwaves up your skin. “y/n…” he began, his voice low and intense. “you’ve been drinking; you’re not in the right headspace,” his words hung between you. “i’m well aware of what’s happening right now and what i’m feeling,” you urge, suddenly more sober than you were moments ago. heeseung stares at you, his self-control wearing thin as you look up at him with big, shiny eyes. when he doesn’t reply, you bring a hand to his chest, resting it there. “please?” you’re practically begging at this point.
your breath hitched as you scanned his face for an answer, the weight of the moment pressing in. your mind raced as you anticipated an answer, and instead of responding, heeseung leaned in closer. the space between you two felt charged with an urgency that felt impossible to ignore. your heart pounded in your chest, your lips mere centimeters away from each other. “are you sure about this?” heeseung whispered against your lips. “i’ve never been more sure about anything.” and then, without thinking, you closed the gap between you two, the world around you immediately falling away. your arms instinctively wrap around his neck as his hands rest on your waist. heeseung leaned in more, and that was all the invitation you needed to deepen the kiss. your lips moved against his with a hungry urgency that sent sparks flying. you leaned into his body, feeling the heat radiating off of him.
the kiss was intense, each brush of your lips igniting a fire, and you could feel yourself surrendering completely. but just as you started to lose yourself in the moment, heeseung pulled back, breathless, searching your eyes. “can i touch you?” he whispered, “can i please touch you?” he practically begged as his chest rose and fell, desire burning into him. you nodded, and that’s all it took for heeseung to guide you to the couch, laying you on your back as he leaned over you. he connected his lips to yours briefly before trailing kisses down your jaw and neck to the exposed part of your chest. he centered his nose on your sternum before slowly dragging it down your torso, stopping at the hem of your shirt. he nestled his nose in the fabric, letting the tip of it slide underneath, before slowly using it to push your shirt up. gentle kisses fall on your skin as your shirt bunches up. you whimper slightly at the feeling of his hot breath against your skin.
his nose leaves the fabric of your shirt, letting it stay bunched up around your rib cage as he trails kisses back down till he reaches the waistband of your skirt. with one final kiss, right above the button, he looks up at you through his eyelashes. “let’s fulfill those fantasies of yours, yeah?” his voice is deep and sultry; you nod frantically, wetness pooling between your legs. “yes, please,” you breathe. his fingers find the button of your skirt, fiddling with it for a moment before undoing it and sliding the zipper down. he removes your skirt and panties in one go, not wanting to waste anymore time. when your bottom half is bare, heeseung can’t help but gawk at the sight of your wet, puffy cunt, swollen and needy all for him. you begin to feel insecure under his intimidating gaze, and your legs begin to close. heeseung stops you before your knees meet each other, hands gripping each leg, and spreading you out for him. he licks his lips as he stares at your pussy, and wastes no more time, dropping his head in between your legs.
he starts off by trailing kisses up your thigh, lightly sucking on the skin as you moan. and when you feel his hot breath fan over your heat, you almost fall apart right then and there. he places an open-mouth kiss over your mound, causing a whimper to erupt from your throat. heeseung smirks to himself before dipping his tongue in between your folds, licking a stripe up your cunt, and landing on your clit. he takes the bud into his mouth, sucking slightly on it as you mewl in satisfaction. his mouth trails down towards your dripping hole, taking the opportunity to taste all of you as he pushes his tongue in. you cry out, hands reaching for something to grip, but you’re left fisting the air.
heeseung has been watching you through lidded eyes, noticing your struggle to find something to hold onto. he pulls his mouth away from your cunt for a moment. “wanna hold my hand, baby?” he asks. “y-yes,” you reply, voice shaking. he reaches up, resting his hand on your stomach as he holds his hand out for you to grab. you immediately take hold of it, squeezing tightly as he continues his assault on your cunt. he’s making out with your pussy at this point, pornographic sounds coming from where his mouth connects to your heat. moans are falling past your lips, and the knot in your stomach begins to tighten. “i-im s’close” you manage to get out in between moans, heeseung makes sure to pay the most attention to your clit as he helps you approach your high, the stimulation being all too much as you fall apart on his tongue. your eyes are squeezed shut, and your hips are bucking into his mouth. but he doesn’t mind; he continues to lap at your pussy until you’re done shaking and are pulling his hand to let him know to stop.
you’re a panting mess, your chest rising and falling as you stare at the man in front of you, his lips wet with your juices. your cheeks flush at the sight, and heeseung smirks before licking his lips clean. he leans forward, holding your head in his hands, and places another kiss on your lips. he pulls back, taking your hands in his as he looks at you. “was it as good as you imagined?” he asks.
“even better.”

sick day (next part)
summary: you’re sick and paige looks after you
content warnings: none!
mainly because im sick and dying rn and wish someone would look after me lol 🥲
“You said you had a slight cold, Y/N. This is not a slight cold, you look like death.” Paige says as she looks at you from the end of your bed.
You’re bundled up under your covers shivering and the light Paige just turned on hurts your eyes so you keep them closed, not wanting to worsen your already brain splitting headache.
“It is a cold.” You grumble, your throat hurting with every word.
“Uh huh, that’s why you haven’t moved a muscle since I’ve been stood here, when usually I can’t even make it through the door without you being in my arms.” She says matter of factly and she’s right. Whenever Paige comes over, you’re practically bouncing at the door waiting for her and tackle her into a hug as soon as she comes into sight.
“I’m fine, just tired.” You try and lie but Paige knows you better than that and you know her well enough to know she’s about to challenge you.
“Come here then.” She remarked and you peeled your eyes open, squinting at the bright light to see her stood with her arms crossed over her chest, a knowing look on her face but you was not about to admit defeat.
You begrudgingly flipped the duvet off your body, arms aching at the slightest of movement and you manoeuvre your body to the edge of the bed before bracing yourself to stand. Your legs were weak and wobbly as you took small steps towards Paige and just as you were about to reach her and prove her wrong, your knees buckled beneath you and she lurched forward, catching you in her arms.
“Easy baby, it’s OK, I got you. Let’s get you back to bed.” Paige says, effortlessly hooking one arm under your legs and the other around your back, lifting you off the floor to carry you back to the safe surface of your mattress.
“You’re burning hot too, Y/N. I think you have a fever.” She notes as she lays you back down, the back of her hand coming in contact with your forehead, then your neck and finally your chest.
“But I’m so cold, I can’t get warm.” You mumble, burying yourself back under your duvet trying to stop the shivers taking over your body.
“Definitely a fever. I’ll be back. Stay here.” She tells you, fixing the duvet over your body as you had done a bad job doing it yourself.
“Do you think I can go anywhere?”
“Sick but still got an attitude, that’s my girl.”
You drift in and out of sleep while Paige is gone and your headache only worsens and you hope she comes back soon because you need a drink but you can’t move. Your limbs feel like lead and your head spins at the smallest of movements.
You hear the front door to your apartment open and close and the taps of familiar footsteps walking towards your room and you immediately know it’s your girlfriend and you’re thankful you’re no longer alone because you genuinely feel like you’re dying.
“You’re back.” You whisper and your voice comes out low and weak you barely even recognise it.
“And I brought supplies.” Paige announces and you flutter your eyes open and she’s holding a huge bag, packed full with God knows what.
“Tylenol, DayQuil and NightQuil, Gatorade because you need electrolytes, soup, tissues, herbal tea, oranges for vitamin C, your favourite candy and water because I just know you’ve not been drinking enough.” She reels off what she bought as she lays it out on your bed.
Paige helps you sit up, propping up your pillows behind your back for support. She pops a few pills into her hand and unscrews the cap of a bottle of water, “Open up.” She says and you’re in no position to argue so you open your mouth and she drops the medicine inside before bringing the bottle up to your lips for you to take a sip.
“Thank you.” You croak out and she just shakes her head, “I wish you would have told me you were this bad. I would have been here straight away.”
“I didn’t want to worry you…or being a burden.” You admit and she sits on the edge of the bed, her hands taking yours, “You are not a burden. Far from it. I want to help you get better, just let me.” She practically begs and you could cry. You were so used to looking after yourself and always being the one to take care of others, it felt foreign being on the receiving end of such selfless actions.
“I’m going to make you some tea and soup. You think you can handle that?” She asks, rubbing your arm comfortingly.
“Maybe just the tea?” You suggest not feeling particularly hungry.
“OK, but soup later because you have to eat, Y/N.” She insists before taking the pack of tea to make you a cup.
Paige returns with a huge mug of hot tea and a damp cloth, “For the fever.” She says placing it on your head and even though you feel freezing cold, your teeth are chattering, the cool cloth is a soothing sensation against your burning skin.
You take the tea with shaky hands and immediately take a sip, the hot liquid mellowing out the pains in your throat. Paige positions herself next to you in your bed, tucking herself under your covers. Her body next to yours is comforting after laying alone, sick and suffering for the past twenty four hours.
“I don’t want to get you sick.” You sniffle, weary that whatever illness had attacked your immune system is probably contagious.
“Don’t worry about me baby, let’s focus on getting you better.” Paige replied hooking an arm around your shoulder.
You take a few more sips of tea before placing it down on your beside table, starting to feel tired as if sitting up in bed had taken the last of your diminishing energy.
You shuffle your body down so your practically laying in Paiges lap and her hand falls to your head and she runs her fingers through your hair, repeatedly. Her actions are slow and soft and full of love, you knew you’d be asleep in seconds.
“I’m tired, P.” You mutter, feeling guilty that you were about to fall alseep, leaving your girlfriend nursing you.
“It’s OK, go to sleep baby, I’ll be here when you wake up.”
You give into your exhaustion at Paiges words and your eyes fall shut to the feeling of her fingers in your hair, your head on her lap and her scent being the only thing you can smell.

Sickness and in health
Viktor x GN! Reader
Summary: Taking care of Victor when he’s sick.
Warnings: Fluff, Sick Viktor, Cuddles & Snuggles, Established Relationship
Echoing coughs filled the bedroom, accompanied by a pitched wheeze, hearing how Viktor's lungs fought for air as you washed away his forehead sweat.
Brows frowning in response to hearing and seeing Viktor's state of health, working his body away in the lab, only coming home to rest at your persistent word. Viktor, having come down with a nasty cold that hadn’t been taken care of, turned to his current state, bed-bound with only the help of you to heal him.
“Here, drink,” speaking softly while holding a glass of water close to his dry lips, taking a sip with the help of you and some propped pillows. Drinking half of the glass, his rough throat still unsatisfied, having given every at-home remedy and medication under the doctor’s orders, yet still his body struggled to fight.
Pushing his hair back once again, having been thrown about from the cough fit, hot skin contrasting against your cool skin earning a hum of enjoyment from Viktor. Taking your hand back, dipping it into the cold water bowl before going back to slicking back his curly tuffs.
Not stop there, running your hand down pressing it against his cheek and neck, hoping it would help lower his body temperature as just days before having to put ice bags all over his body.
Thankfully, having gotten better since then, though very slowly, and not without a bit of pushback. Hearing him worry over new research over and over, even begging you to bring notes from the lab.
Though it sounded horrible, you were thankful that he could get up from bed, as he would have walked there, breaking down his body more.
Intent on keeping your Viktor alive, dismissing his unneeded worry for Hextech research, reasoning Jay can work in the lab just fine by himself. After a few days, the worry came to a stop, leaving Viktor to rest in silence, mostly sleeping thanks to the medication or your filling food. Though of course, not without you, having afternoon naps in the curtain-closed bedroom.
“Lay with me,” his voice hoarsely begged. Without any hesitation, you moved away the bedding, cuddling up to Viktor's shaky body. With cold hands, he cuddled you, welcoming the love and relief it brought to his body. Quickly, the fight for rest dissipated, causing a light snore to sound out, looking up to see Viktor asleep at last.
Hello, I hope you enjoyed if there is any grammar mistakes or misspellings sorry about that feel free to let me know in the comments, have a great day/afternoon/night!

simon x reader guide
simon x reader family
You were exhausted, you would clean, go get groceries, wake up every hour with the newborn, and everything in between. Usually you had Simon right beside you and help you with the smallest things. However, duty calls. Price promised Simon a couple months leave however, it was an emergency.
When Simon first brought it up, you knew he saw the rolling of the eyes but you brushed it off. Simon brought it up later and you just tried to push it away. Eventually it blew up. Things were said and yelled that weren’t meant to come out. Simon slept in a different room and he was gone for a couple of weeks.
You didn’t answer his calls but text him updates. It was petty but it’s a petty time. You were promised to have your husband here with both your child. Yet you are here almost falling asleep anytime it was early in the morning to feed the baby. You sat outside of the room of your baby as she bailed and bailed, being irritated and tired. Eventually you would go in sure but you were so scared that you would yell at her for being a baby.
After the couple of weeks you tried to brush it under the rug as you made Simon’s favorite dinner. Knowing he would be home. He text you stating that he will be home around 7 o clock and he was excited to see both you and the baby. 7 went to 8, 8 went to 9, 9 went to 10, 10 went to 11, and so on. The food went cold and baby was down. Especially you were tired.
You already put the food away and sat in the living room. You watched the clock before you angrily got up and started the bath. You needed to cool down. You heard the heavy footsteps heading down the hall. You rolled your eyes with the clock read 1 AM.
Simon noticed the light beaming through the room you both shared. Inhaling deeply he stepped in and rounding into the bathroom. You stood with a robe on and touching the warm water.
“S’rry ‘m late.” He said watching your movements.
“Okay.” You said not looking at him.
He frowned and shook his head. “I had a ton of paperwork and didn’t notice the time. Thought I had enough time.”
You didn’t say nothing as you went to the cabinet and pulled out your favorite salts for the bath. Simon watched as you poured them in and went back to put it away. “Y/n please.”
“Please what Simon? You were late. You weren’t here. Shit happens right? Emergencies happen. It’s whatever at this point.” You scoffed as you finally looked at him.
Simon noticed the anger in your eyes. He was upset that he left without resolving the last fight. He was upset that when he called you didn’t want to talk. He was upset he wasn’t home when he was supposed to be and not seeing his babygirl. He also noticed you are tired. Exhausted even. The bags. The purple shade underneath your eyes. “It’s my job you knew that when you signed up for it.”
You laughed and shook your head. “You don’t think I know that? Don’t you dare throw that in my face Simon. We were promised a break for our child yet he drags you back and you are willing to without a second glance.”
“Really? It goes back to me not carin’ about our family huh? That’s what you said before I left. You think I care more about my job than us.”
“Yes! Yes I do! I think that you are stuck in a loop without anyone but you! You are fine with just going instead of being here!” You yelled starting to walk out and brushing passed Simon.
“It’s my job! I have to go! I can’t leave my team behind!” He yelled back following you.
You scoffed as you ripped your robe off, ripping open your drawers. “Right but you can do it to us.” You mumbled pulling out sweats and a t-shirt.
“What’s that supp’se to mean?” He basically growled.
You snapped up and looked at him. “Ever since Millie was born it was like you have been gone. You will help yes but how long did that last before you skipped your happy ass to Price,” You yelled pulling the sweats up as you felt a sting of tears coming. You laughed as you heard nothing from him. “I have been doing this by myself with no help! Nothing Simon!”
“That’s not fair! How many times do I have to say it’s my fuckin’ job…”
“You have a job here!” You screamed as tears started to spill and right before anyone could say anything a wail broke through the air.
You both stood there for a minute before you raked your fingers through your hair. You wiped your eyes angrily. “Damn it,” You pulled your shirt on before walking out, grabbing your phone on the dresser. “I am sleeping in the other room.” You slammed the door shut before walking to the baby’s room.
You opened it as Millie screamed louder. You cried as you walked closer that turns to a sob. You didn’t know what to do. How to do it. You don’t know how to keep her asleep and fed and changed without being upset. You gripped the crib hard as you couldn’t move. You were tired and your baby needs you. “I’m sorry,” You cried as you picked her up and shushed her softly. “I know I know.”
You sat in the rocking chair as you let your baby fed. You scrolled on social media seeing all the happy couples. All what they are doing. All your friends looking like they don’t have problems. You missed Simon, not like he changed, just his touch, he soft voice when he whispers I love you. You missed his laugh when you both would have that marriage banter. You missed his tea.
You are afraid that maybe having a kid was a bad idea. That it ruined or tainted everything. You looked at your baby and inhaled. How could you think like that? What has she done to make you feel that way? It seemed like anytime Simon was around you were angry. Small arguments that turned into this. Your lip trembled and you held your baby closer to your chest. Tears prickling your eyes.
You threw your phone on the ground and sobbed. You were a monster. How could a mother think like that? Why would a wife yell at her husband for doing his job? You kept thinking about all the bad things that happened or been thought of that you didn’t notice that your baby was being scooped up.
When the cold air touched your skin, you opened your eyes panicked. You thought you dropped her as you looked down with tears blinding you before you felt a hand on your cheek. You snapped your eyes to see Simon, holding your baby girl close to his chest as she was asleep. “Baby,” He whispered concerned on his face. He was kneeling as he wiped tears after tears. “Come on let me put her to bed and let’s go talk please.”
“No,” You mumbled as you stood up. “I got her.”
Simon stood up and shook his head. “Please, you look tired.”
“I-I no she needs me.” You whispered but made no move to grab her.
“She has me too,” He said quietly. “Go to the kitchen please.”
You stared for a moment and looked at your baby. How small she was compared to him. How secure she looks when he was holding her. You nodded as you wiped more of the tears away. “Okay.”
Guilt pinged your chest as you glanced once to see him bouncing a bit as he slowly put her down. You walked into the kitchen and sat at the island as quiet tears slipped. You are tired you felt your body relax and felt heavy. “Baby,” You snapped your head up and saw Simon holding a kettle. “Do you want tea?”
You nodded once and looked away. It was quiet as he face the kettle waiting for it to go off. “I’m still mad at you.” You mumbled.
Simon nodded as he turned to lean against the counter. “Why is that?”
You rolled your eyes. “Simon you know why.”
Simon walked up and leaned his elbows on the counter. “Y/n I’m not doin’ it to hurt you two.”
You froze for a moment before looking away. Thoughts of how it could be different with him not having the damn job. However, he was right he wasn’t doing it to hurt you. “I told Price to call someone else but…he needed me for what I know.” You slowly looked at him as Simon looked the other direction. “I fought the old man about it for days. I didn’ say nothin’ cause I knew you would be upset. I didn’t notice that I was pushing you and our princess away. Just-just tried to figure out how to get out of it…I’m sorry.”
Now you felt even more bad. He tried to fight not to go and fought for the two of you. You inhaled but don’t exhaled afraid of sobbing once more. The moment Simon looked at you, you sobbed and hid your face with your hands. “I didn’t-I’m so sorry Simon.”
Simon walked around and shook his head as he turned the chair to gently pull you on for a hug. “Baby I should have said something and not fought it alone.”
You sobbed and sobbed as everything came down. “I’m so tired Si. I am tired of being awake so damn early. I am tired of cooking. I am tired of not being able to do anything. I am tired of fighting with you. I am sorry Simon. I should have been m-more understanding. You don’t deserve me. You don’t deserve to marry such a bitch. I have been so ru…”
He gently pushed you off to grab your wrists to show your face. Simon smiled softly before grabbing your chin with his thumb and finger. “I know. I know. You been overwhelmed with so much. We will figure it out yeah? It’s okay, we are fine. I married you for you even when it’s rocky. It won’t always be perfect.”
You calmed down a bit as you leaned into his touch. “Okay.”
The kettle goes off as Simon kissed your forehead to walk over. You sat still as Simon came around. “I will be here right now, try my best to help you my love.”
You looked up and saw him, his eyes glowing with love. You inhaled and nodded as he pulled you back into his chest. You snuggled in and felt warmth throughout your body. God no one deserves Simon Riley.

One Year Down, A Lifetime To Go
Alexia Putellas x Reader
The sun was just starting to rise when you felt the softest touch against your cheek. A gentle hand brushed back your hair, followed by the warmth of a kiss—a slow, lingering press of lips that sent a flutter through your chest. "Buenos días, mi amor," Alexia's voice whispered, low and velvety, breaking through the haze of sleep. You opened your eyes to find her already leaning over you, her smile tender and eyes bright with affection.
"Happy anniversary," she murmured, and you couldn’t help but smile back at her, utterly captivated.
She sat on the edge of the bed with a breakfast tray balanced on her lap. There was freshly brewed coffee, golden toast with your favorite spread, a small bowl of fruit, and a tiny vase holding a single red rose. "I wanted to start the day by spoiling you," Alexia said, leaning in to nuzzle your neck before placing the tray in front of you. Her voice held a sweetness you didn’t often hear—it was so different from her sharp commands and focused energy on the pitch. Here, she was soft, vulnerable, and undeniably loving, and it made your heart ache in the best way.
Between bites of breakfast, she kept peppering you with kisses—on your temple, the corner of your mouth, and even your nose, which had you laughing. You adored seeing her like this: playful, cuddly, and so openly loving. It reminded you just how lucky you were to have her.
After breakfast, Alexia gave you just enough time to get ready before announcing the next part of the day’s plan—a trip to a wellness spa. The drive there was filled with her teasing, holding your hand, and singing softly to the music on the radio. When you arrived, you felt all the stress melt away. The spa was serene, with calming music and the scent of lavender in the air.
You both started with a couples’ massage, and Alexia chuckled as she caught you nearly dozing off on the table. “Relax, cariño. You deserve this,” she whispered, her voice almost sending you into another trance. Afterward, you shared a soak in the whirlpool, the warm water bubbling around you. Alexia leaned against you, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on your arm. "I love days like this," she confessed. "No rush, no pressure. Just you and me."
The spa left you both feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, and Alexia wasn’t done yet. From the trunk of her car, she pulled out a picnic basket and led you to your favorite park. There, under the shade of a sprawling oak tree, she set everything up—soft blankets, little cushions, and a spread of sandwiches, fruit, and pastries.
Sitting beside you, her eyes searched yours, and her voice turned serious. “I just want to tell you,” she started, taking your hand in hers, “how much you mean to me. You’re my everything. This past year with you has been the happiest of my life. You’ve brought so much light into my world, and I don’t ever want to let you go.” Her words, raw and full of emotion, brought tears to your eyes. You leaned in, kissing her deeply, unable to put into words how much you felt the same.
The day continued to unfold like a dream. Alexia drove you to a beachfront restaurant as the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of gold and pink. The gentle hum of the waves provided a soothing backdrop to your laughter as you shared a delicious meal. Alexia was on her best form—making jokes, telling stories, and smiling so much it made your heart swell.
As dessert arrived, she reached into her bag and pulled out a small velvet box. Your breath hitched as she handed it to you, her fingers slightly trembling. "Open it," she urged softly, her cheeks dusted with the faintest blush.
Inside was a delicate golden bracelet, its centerpiece a tiny pendant shaped like an “A.”
“For Alexia,” she said, her voice almost shy, as if afraid of how you might react. “So no matter where you are, you’ll always have a piece of me with you.”
You stared at the bracelet, feeling an overwhelming wave of love crash over you. Tears sprang to your eyes as you looked back at her. “Lex… It’s beautiful. I love it. I love you.” She helped you clasp it around your wrist, her hands lingering, and you leaned over to kiss her again. “Thank you,” you whispered, your voice breaking slightly from the emotion.
After dinner, the night wasn’t quite over. Hand in hand, you strolled along the shoreline. The moon hung high in the sky, casting a silvery glow over the water. The air was warm, the stars bright, and the sound of the waves crashing against the sand created a melody that seemed just for the two of you.
Alexia pulled you closer, wrapping an arm around your waist as you walked. “I wish I could give you nights like this every day,” she said softly, her lips brushing against your temple. You stopped, turning to face her, and saw the way her eyes shimmered in the moonlight.
“You already give me everything I need,” you told her, your voice full of certainty. “You make me feel loved, safe, and cherished. That’s more than enough.”
Alexia smiled, pulling you into her arms. Standing there with her, the stars above, and the waves at your feet, you knew this moment would stay etched in your heart forever. It wasn’t just the perfect day; it was the perfect reminder of how deeply you loved her—and how deeply she loved you in return.

The Haunting of Danny Fenton, p4
Masterpost late, tired, still emotional and physically fragile. please no editing <3
“—ir? Sir?”
Danny mumbled something incoherent that was supposed to be a response to that, or befuddlement about being called ‘sir’, or at least something better than ‘wadamehaaftz’. The bite of a tightening blood pressure cuff around his arm helped bring him a little be back to the world. He opened his eyes right into too bright light and winced back in reaction.
“Sir? Do you need us to call an ambulance?” the panicked looking barista asked. She was crouched down next to him where he lay on the floor.
Great, now he could never come back to this coffee shop. That was a damn shame, they had really good bagels.
“No,” Danny managed to make his mouth say. “Seizure. Newish thing for me. I’m fine—will be fine. Sorry.”
“Maybe you should stay laying down for a moment longer?” The barista suggested.
Danny hummed. “Don’t want to be a bother.”
“Dude,” someone said off to Danny’s right. He didn’t think it was worth the effort to turn his head and look, “you just had a seizure. You were screaming. Like, I think we’re all okay if you lay there. We can step around you.”
There were murmurers of agreement.
“Okay, yeah, you know what, great,” Danny said and summoned the willpower to lift his hand and give there room a thumbs up. He let it drop listlessly back down onto his chest.
At least the floor was cool against his back. And he did feel a bit better not trying to get up immediately. When he finally pulled himself back up into his chair, the nice barista brought him a glass of ice water with a straw. Danny drank every drop of the first glass and a refill until the paper of the stupid straw started to turn to mush between his lips.
Knowing that he wouldn’t be up for doing much especially that day, Danny got a bagel sandwich to go, left a generous tip, and fled the cafe with his proverbial tail between his legs.
Penny was was at the apartment. She shoved a still warm load of banana bread at Danny as she bitched about her latest failed relationship. Apparently her girlfriend had been hooking up with the bouncer at their favorite bar. Not that Penny would have minded if they had talked through it before hand and Penny was allowed to join every now and again.
Which, fair, the bouncer did have amazing arms.
When Penny’s phone rang, blaring a dated pop song, Danny was able to make his escape with the added load of his two liter water bottle and bag of little oranges. Or not oranges—clementines? Tangelos? Whatever, little oranges.
He set everything down on the end of his bed before flinging himself onto it.
Another seizure. A worse one.
But a clearer vision of the ghost than he’d ever had before.
Groaning, Danny dragged himself to hang over the edge of his bed so he could pull out one of the storage cubes from under it. After a bit of shuffling, he got the one he wanted out from the back: a long ignored stack of art supplies. Danny rummaged around in it for a pencil and eraser before he pulled the sketchbook out from the bottom. He flipped past old game ides and idle doodles to find a blank page and started to work.
There was so much of the ghost that he still couldn’t define, but the more he worked at the sketch of the ghost’s face, the more he started to narrow it down.
Danny stared down at the page.
Overworked eyes stared back.
Feeling frustrated at how close it was, Danny grabbed a blue marker from the page and filled in the eyes carefully. Then, with almost irritated strokes, Danny roughly messed in the strikingly orange hair.
Now his ghost started back.
“Hello there…"

cw: rape, somnophillia, angry simon riley, degrading, manipulation, creampie, harsh words
Living with Simon Riley and catching one of them really painful, barking coughs that leave your throat sore when you wake up.
He thought it was cute when you were sick, he’d bring you a warm drink- telling you to drink up, he’d go out and buy you so much medicine he’d walk in with bags full- anything for his little angel to be okay.
He’d offer to wash you in the bath, his soft hands rubbing and massaging your skin even if you told him you were fully capable. He’d treat you, just wanting you to get better. Loving you and caring for you.
But then night came, and things took a turn. He didn’t mind the odd, rough nights sleep due to your cough keeping him up, but for 3 nights in arrow? It was pissing him off and Simons fuse was short. Did you not take any of the medicine he had brought you? I mean honestly- it was like you didn’t want to get better at this point.
He’d try covering his head with a pillow, blocking out the sound of your coughing long enough for him to dip back into sleep, but short enough to wake him up instantly. He didn’t want to go sleep on the couch, he had work and his body needed the rest. So he chose to try and ignore it.
Try ignore the way the bed wobbled every time you shook, try ignore the way the loudness of the cough echoed around the room. Try ignore the way he was fucking losing it and try ignore how selfish you were being.
His hands rushed down, pulling his underwear down, teeth clenched in his jaw and he fisted himself, already hard. He’d scoot his arm under you and bring you in close, staring at your sleeping face with irritation and jealousy. He’d rip down your panties and before you could squirm away at the unfamiliar feeling of air down there, he’d shove himself in deep. Jolting you awake, stinging your insides.
“Simon! What are you-“
But fuck he wasn’t listening. He just kept going and going and going. Fucking you hard, fucking you deep just literally fucking you. He was so pissed off with you, keeping him up like the needy selfish little brat you were.
“It’s annoying, isn’t it love?” He’d ask strained, his voice cracking himself and he pounded your cunt, your insides feeling so soft and buttery on his cock, feeling you slowly getting wetter the longer it went on.
“It’s annoying when someone keeps you awake. Keeps fucking you about. I buy you all them pills, medicines, cough sweets- fuck I pretty much bought anything that had the word cough on it. And you still have it?”
His voice was darker, and through the darkness of the room your eyes watered. Soft cries and pleas coming from your voice because this didn’t feel good. He was going in deep, so deep it actually began to hurt. Your body shook and you cried, tears dripping down your face and into your mouth, tasting the saltiness of the situation. It was gone off, this was bad.
Simon was a gentleman, the man who promises to put a ring on that finger of yours, the man who would protect you, comfort you, save you from anything bad. Even as far in to your relationship now, he’d always ask consent before you made love, he’d always make sure that you like it too. But now? He wasn’t making love or caring about you at all. He was fucking defiling you.
“You’re always so whiny, so fucking annoying. I get you baby, I get you hurt but fuck me. Do you have to be so fucking miserable? It’s like- fuck- if you’re not okay and happy, no one else can be.” His words would hurt you more, he’d just let them out like they were nothing. Like they weren’t adding to your cries, like they weren’t making your wet pussy tighten around him more. His words would degrade you, would manipulate you as he used your body.
He would trick you so easily, you weren’t even crying because you didn’t want it anymore, you were crying because you knew you deserved it. You’d brought all this on Simon, made him run around like some lost puppy just to throw it back in his face at the one time he can rest himself. How dare you, how dare you fucking do that. He’d twitch inside you after a while, finally cumming and pushing you off him. Aftercare was out of the question but you’d gathered that. You didn’t deserve anything right now with your behaviour.
Simons panting died down, the sweat on his back going cold as the heat of the moment vanished. With one leg flipping to the side, he’d roll over, bringing the duvet back up. Now that he was tired, maybe he could sleep better. Huffing and grunting out a quick,
“You wake me up once more, I'm going to fuck that cold out your body- no matter how long it takes.”
Before finally falling asleep.
