Zidane Tribal is a member of Tantalus, the famous theatre troupe. He and his brothers enjoy being Broadway stars, performing popular plays and musicals all around Gaia.

Garnet Alexandros is the daughter of a wealthy and successful politician. She grew up in Alexandria, but spent many weekends visiting her Uncle Cid, Aunt Hilda and cousin Eiko in Lindblum. On one such occasion, when she was 11 years old, she watched Tantalus perform 'The Lion King', and fell head over heels for the boy who played Young Simba.

10 years later, now studying at Lindblum University, and with tickets to see 'Aladdin' in a few months time, Garnet finds herself having an unexpected meet cute with the very same star she had a crush on in her youth - Zidane Tribal! Meeting briefly in a coffee shop, the broadway star (who just so happens to be leading as Aladdin) is quick to ask her out on a date.

Garnet's friends Freya and Beatrix, along with Eiko, help her navigate her way through her first romantic experience. Although cautious at first, Garnet is quick to fall for her childhood crush. She soon meets Zidane's brothers, Blank, Marcus and Cinna, who play Aladdin's friends Omar, Kassim and Babkak, and Ruby, playing the lead role of Jasmine.

Despite her inexperience, Garnet can't help but feel this relationship with Zidane was meant to be. It doesn't take long before she's frequenting the theatre, watching Zidane perform, cheering him on - and perhaps enjoying a sneaky kiss or two between rehearsals. But Zidane is keeping a secret from her... a secret that may just ruin this meaningful bond he has been so desperate to find all his life.

For extra context Alibaba also had two adopted siblings: Kassim, his older brother, and Mariam, a younger sister, both of whom he was forcibly pulled away from by Rashid and never allowed to see [Mariam also died of sickness after he was taken away]. So while they were kept in poverty on the streets Alibaba was forced into *gestures* all this

Random Headcanons

🍉 - What is something they have done that they feel the most guilt over? How do they handle this guilt?  Does the guilt ever get resolved?

There was a time where Youssef was bitterly envious of his older brothers. Amir, the eldest, has always been incredibly good at all facets of business be it financial or logistically. He's quite gifted at building interpersonal relations with people, even the ones he couldnt stand. His middle brother, Kassim, is gifted in the medical field. He excels at the art of caregiving, sensing the nuances and changes in someone's physical and mental health. He's also very good at dealing with all sorts of people.

Youssef hated his brothers for being so good at everything. He felt himself being left behind. Even now he feels incredibly inferior to his brothers. He has no talents, no skills... Not particularly good or bad at anything. His brothers have tried to console Youssef before, telling him that he's not as worthless as he seems to think but to no avail. Youssef continues to drown his negative thoughts in excessive indulgence in his own pleasures. He lives his life freely, recklessly because there was no point in acting as if he was anything more than the odd man out in his family, much to his parents' dismay.

Now instead of wasting his time hating his brothers, he'd much rather just spend all his parent's money on things that make him happy enough to forget everything, even for a moment.

🍌 - Who is someone that makes them feel uncomfortable? How do they handle interactions with this person? What is the source of the discomfort?

Youssef is mostly made uncomfortable by his brothers, even though the two of them don't do it intentionally. He feels stifled when they're all in the same room. He'll do anything to cut the visits to his parents' house short if they are all there. This ties back into his feeling insignificant when sat beside his brothers and their seemingly boundless perfection.

🍎 - What is a hobby or interest that they would be distressed over losing access to? I.e a dancer who breaks their leg for months, etc. How would they cope?

Since Youssef has an never ending supply of money to blow through whenever he wants (within reason), if he ever lost access to his credit cards, he'd be a wreck. He's so used to spending money on whatever makes him happy in that moment that if he lost that liberty he probably wouldn't be able to function. He is very much accustomed to throwing money at all his problems. Im not sure he would be able to cope if his parents cut him off because he's been reliant on their allowance for so long.

My cat (Cassim) is named after Asu’s faceclaim (Kassim) and I have an OC (Qassim) inspired by/named after Cassim.

Qassim is also Asu’s younger brother

Ahhh I love these so much!!

I always thought Kalim’s parents would be young because of a lot of Arabs marrying young and having children a year or so after marriage but I love how you interpreted them so much! Especially the names.

As for Jamil’s parents, they look exactly how I’d imagined them. And yes Jamil 100% looks like him mom that guy is fabulous. As for the name I think Najla gives her a more respected authority figure vibe, Noor is pretty too but all the Noor’s I know are fun and calm people, and let’s be real she’s not those😭

And Kalim’s siblings look so fucking cute!! Hanim looks like a sweetheart and probably still id 9-12. And at first I thought you meant “Hanin” (حنين) but Hanim is such a pretty ass name. And Kassim gives me like, the trouble maker brother vibes. He’s the more chaotic one that somehow makes Kalim look responsible, he also looks taller then Kalim and I am here for it!!

All and all these look fucking amazing and just had to voice my thoughts about them<3

Starting with the mother My friend told me she looks like a Hajir so lets call her Hajir(هاجر)

In canon she is the only other magic user beside Kalim and that she's very sweet and rarely gets mad so i wanted it to be kinda obvious when looking at her :⁠-⁠)

I also made the mistake of focusing on the mom too much that i forgot i had to do the dad and i remembered that i wanted a normal? Looking dad so imagine him in normal dad clothes you'll get it

His name will be Kadim(كاظم)

As it's already June here, I would like to share some of my favourite headcanons. Some of these edits are ugly (especially Kassim why'd they give him anime hair)

Speaking of headcanons, I hc that Sharrkan projects his brotherly feelings to alibaba bc he they're both younger brothers with tense relationships with their older bros.

Oh 100% he does and when Sinbad tells him Alibaba is also an exiled ex-prince he adopts on sight there are no questions about it. The difference between them is Sharrkan is used to being the younger brother but Alibaba was a middle child with eldest child syndrome [being more responsible, taking on jobs to provide for his sibs, constantly looking out for Kassim etc] so you have Sharrkan trying to be a doting older brother with 0 experience VS Alibaba getting annoyed at his hovering. They figure it out though and become a chaos duo

Once you add Pisti to the mix it's even worse lol
