Florian is a florist who has had a stand as long as he can remember, he has always been interested in botany since a young age and started working initally as a flower delivery boy in Amsterdam when he was growing up in the Netherlands. He now has his own flower shop and lives in a small apartment above it with his roommate Matteo who owns the record shop next door to his florist (I'll get to him eventually).

Florian is quite timid by personality and does not like confrontation. He has a tendency to undersell his products at times as he does not wish to argue with customers. He is also very kind hearted and has a bad habit of doing things such a funeral flowers for free.

He can be a pessimist at times and tends to overanalyse situations. However, he has a strong sense of morality and always acts to help someone weaker than him or those he loves without his usual hesitancy.

Florian's Stand- Savage Garden

Savage Garden is a humanoid, long ranged Stand. It's primary method of attack is using branches and vines to grip foes, similarly to Hermit Purple or Hierophant Green. It can also use its hands to emit a sweet scent similar to a pitcher plant which makes people feel safe and at ease. Florian prefers to use this when his friends are hurt or scared as opposed to offensively.

It's main ability is that it can touch plants and take on qualities of the plants it touches. Examples are:

Sunflowers - It will move quickly toward sources of light at speeds surpassing it's usual.

Roses - Gains thorned vines which can be used to inflict damage.

Horse Chesnut Tree - Gains spiked armour

Dandelion - Becomes light and able to float on air currents.

Stinging Nettle - Emits a poison that causes rashes and itching on contact.

It's limitation lies in the fact there must be a plant nearby for it to gain its qualities. It can be used for healing depending what plants it touches. It also functions poorly in bad weather and at night as plants need the sun.

I had a question since you’ve been rewatching pretty attentively (and I haven’t been able to yet so I am, very obviously, using you for your knowledge) : at the end of the witches road Agatha plants the dandelion and blabla

I cannot for the life of me figure out why she doesn’t have the maid mother crone brooch after that. I know she doesn’t have it when she materialises her powers and the *hot* outfit, and clearly Teen has it later (I don’t remember how); do you know why she doesn’t leave the road with it? Did she? I’m so confused.

Also sorry I could rewatch it to figure it out myself but I’ll admit I’m not in a good place to do that; and my curiosity apparently cannot wait.

Doylist explanation: that day they had misplaced the brooch on set, or simply forgotten it.

Wastonian explanation: she still had it around her neck under her clothes, OR she had it in her pocket. When she died all her clothes dissolved because they were made of magic and only the brooch remained on the ground, and that's where Billy picked it up.

(Does that mean that Agatha is always naked under all her magic? Maybe!)

12. Do they have many heated arguments? How do they smooth things over?

honestly I don't think they really get into fights. like, at all come to think of it. I genuinely can't imagine Celeair raising his voice at anyone over a disagreement and least of all at Margim. And Margim, while she can be opinionated about certain things, would never actually fight with Celeair about like, anything. Mainly because I think there are few things they actually disagree on, and what few there are they would be willing to just talk through.

is it realistic for them to get along so well 100% of the time considering they came from such vastly different backgrounds? idk, but I think that's part of their appeal to me in a way? sure it doesn't LOOK like they should get along so well, but they do, and they love each other so so so much <3. also they're my comfort couple and I never want to think about them being mad at each other. love blorbos who respect and communicate with their partner <3

22. What reminds each of their partner?

Dandelions always make Celeair think of Margim! for a number of reasons: too stubborn to die, misunderstood, and very beautiful to his eyes <3. Though Margim has always (strongly) disliked her yellow eyes, seeing them as a mark of evil passed down from her father, to Celeair they just make him think of his favorite flower <3 (are they his favorite flower because of their association with Margim, or did he associate them with her because they were his favorite? yes.)

for Margim it's a lot of random things that can make her think of him, usually beautiful small things she never would have seen in Mordor. The tune of a little songbird, a patch of soft blue flowers, warm blankets and hot tea, things like that.

Another thing she would remember him by was a little keepsake he had given to her when she left Ithilien, a brooch in the shape of a crescent moon, that she treasured for as long as she had it. Currently the plan is that she loses it at some point between her coming to Turm Dreng and Celeair reuniting with her. Not yet giving details as to exactly how she loses it, but the Mournshaws are involved and we can pretty definitively say she's not getting it back. She is understandably very angsty about this, at the time having no reason to believe she'll ever see Celeair again and having lost the one token he gave her (arguably the first gift she had ever received from anyone). She is so upset and ashamed by this that she can't bring herself to talk about or even mention Celeair to anyone. That is, until he unexpectedly shows up in the village looking for her, which confuses just about everyone because they had no idea about Margim's past with this random Gondorian lol

yes syanna deserves punishment but her stupid sister won't punish her. We know this from the dialogue with Dandelion in the ending where Dandelion visits Geralt. No one denies that syanna suffered a lot and undeservedly but she absolutely does not deserve to be forgiven for the crimes. and this is what happens in the 'good ending' syanna had psychopathic tendencies even before she was diagnosed with the curse. For those who choose Yennefer because of books, Syanna's death should be canonical. syanna is Renfri created for the dlc. What did Geralt with Renfri? Butchered her in the middle of Blaviken. He should do the same with syanna. She is my most hated character from the entire witcher universe. Dettlaff is not completely good character but psycho sisters are not better than him. the perfect ending for me would be with both sisters dead and alive Dettlaff. But I only had with syanna dying. Dett deserve a second chance just like Regis in the books

Okay, so, you’re making the issue black and white when it clearly isn’t. Syanna and Dettlaff were both hurt and made bad decisions, and I think Dettlaff deserves more sympathy than he’s given by the game and the fandom, but you’re arguing that.. Syanna is just the villain, straight up, full stop? Yes, what she did was inexcusable. But one of the main ideas in the witcher is that there is no lesser evil, it’s just people and their choices! That was the whole point of Renfri’s story!

Your comparison to Renfri disregards and disrespects the point of the character and the message of her death. Yes, Geralt kills her, but it was based on a decision at a moment’s notice and he regrets it later. He carries her brooch with him for over two decades! He was prompted to choose the lesser evil, but truly, it was just different evils. He did what he thought was best with the information he had! We all do this, every day! This happens with Syanna as well, because yes, they are parallel characters. One difference is that Syanna had power over Dettlaff, but Renfri never had power over Stregobor. Dettlaff and Stregobor are not parallels the same way Syanna and Renfri were written to be.

She was born, and the time of her birth made everyone think that she was a monster. That’s not her fault! What are the “psychopathic tendencies” you’re talking about? Lack of caring about others? First of all, that’s insensitive, and second of all, she’s an insecurely attached rich princess who was thrown out of her home for reasons she had no control over. She doesn’t know how to be a person. That’s why I think she deserves to live and learn.

Also, what’s the point of bringing up Yennefer???

Same with Anna Henrietta! Why do you think she deserves to die? According to story canon, she’s a beloved leader! Toussaint is prosperous under her leadership! Yes, her priorities are skewed, and she should see that Syanna is punished, but she’s blinded by the fact that her sister is alive! Anarietta was not only one of the reasons for Syanna’s banishment, she was also hurt by the way their parents treated her! Her reaction to learning that Syanna is alive is completely reasonable, and wanting to protect her is too. At this rate I think the issue is yours and not the game’s.

You’re allowed to hate her. I’m not saying you shouldn’t. But none of this is broken up neatly into right/wrong, black/white, good/evil the way you seem to believe. Come back when you understand that people (and all stories about and portrayals thereof) are more complicated than that.

Risetober 2023: Day 4 - Amulet

Clink. Clink. Clink.

Sunita absentmindedly tapped her thumb against her cloaking brooch as she sat on the couch. The golden amulet and its emerald gemstone felt cool and smooth under her hand, so she often found herself fidgeting with the object.

Clink. Clink. Clink.

April sat beside her with her head propped up with her elbow. Since the girls’ last night out had ended with a whole kerfuffle with Rupert Swaggart on live TV, they had opted to stay in at April’s for this one. April, being the adrenaline junkie she was, was bored out of her mind. As much as she enjoyed watching Sunita get excited over a pig getting sauced on the barbecue channel, her mind couldn’t help but wander idly, and the tapping of Sunita’s brooch was catching her eye.

What would it be like to try it on? Would it feel weird? How would it determine the disguise it created for her? Would it even be okay to ask?

April was trying her best to keep her curiosity in the amulet subtle, but Sunita could feel April’s gaze on the brooch.

“Psst!” Sunita whispered, looking away from the show. As invested as she was in the saucing of a hog, interacting with April took precedence. “Do you want to try it on?”

“Pssh, me?” April tried to play it cool, acting like she hadn’t been staring the accessory down for the last ten minutes. “Isn’t that from your Grand-Googly? I couldn’t possibly-”

“It is, but I don’t mind as long as you’re careful with it. Here,” Sunita stood up and pulled it off of her magenta dress.

In a flash of lime green, Sunita was out of her human disguise and back in her yōkai form: a green, oozy silhouette.

Sunita placed the charm in her compatriot’s hand, who had stood up with her.

April looked down at it with curiosity and apprehensiveness and excitement and let out a deep breath.

She put on the brooch and closed her eyes.

She felt exactly the same.

“Hey, ‘Nita, shouldn’t I have changed already or-” April looked at her hand, except it didn’t really look like her hand. The appendage only had three clawed fingers and was covered in a thin, yellow fur. She had to flex it to convince herself it was hers.

Her attire hadn’t changed: still her signature jacket, dandelion dress and shoes, and black leggings. April, on the other hand, almost completely had.

On her collar had sprouted a boa of yellow fur, the same creamy color as her hands. The cartilage of her ears had been replaced by floppy ones instead. Her buns and bangs looked similar to their typical shape, but her hair’s color had turned into a cotton candy blue fading deliciously into red.

She spun around to take in the look, which was when she noticed the tail. It was yellow and fluffy, much like the rest of her, and had the same blue tip as Mayhem’s did. She noted that she looked almost identical to Mayhem, all the way down to the red tip of her nose and the spot on her forehead.

“So,” April checked out her talons coolly, “Whatcha think Sunita?”

“O. M. Goodness.” Sunita stared in awe at her best friend. She was certain she would be melting at this look even if she wasn’t in her googlyschmootz form.

She wouldn’t mind lending her cloaking brooch to April more often.

[ Grannvale ] The song is familiar. She doesn't realize it at first but, as the orchestra continues to play, Altena finds herself able to guess the next part of the melody before it's played. Fuzzy memories with blurry faces flash in her mind and she closes her eyes to try to focus them.

When her eyes open, her father stands before her and she realizes it was his hands she remembers holding along with this music.

"Is there something you needed?" Her voice is harsh, almost snapping. He'd already come to her with a cup of fruit seeds earlier and now he's ambushing her in a moment she feels vulnerable. "Is it my feather?" She notices he's missing that one from his brooch. "You do know you're supposed to collect the one you've been assigned too, right?"

"...Are we?"

Quan quirked his brow, snapped out of his reverie. To be completely honest, he was struck by how beautiful his daughter had become, especially in her new state of dress. They even shared the same brooch tonight: a black feather that glittered like the night. It was little reasons like this that reminded him that he was alive for a reason. This much was enough. Surely, surely. It surely was enough.

He would never be used to her snapping at him, though. Despite attempting to memorize the way her brows folded and her lips pursed, Quan knew she saw him as nothing more than a ghoul. But he couldn't wrap his mind around it, no matter how logically he came to the same conclusion. At the end of the day, his daughter was not lost to him, just... estranged. Estranged still felt like a hot knife to the heart, but it was nothing he couldn't handle. Nothing he couldn't change.

"Then... Since we are matching, here. You also need a black feather, don't you?"

"I wasn't trying to make you uncomfortable, Altena. If you must know, it's just that you look...beautiful. Astoundingly so."

Quan unfashioned the brooch from his lapel, offering it to her as a sign of peace.

He pointed a finger into the air, like a conductor's baton. There is a softness that seeps into the floorboards, gentle plucks of spring growing dandelions out of the floorboards. "The song recounts a year before I was born. Before even your grandfather was born. It's a song that promises new life, even after seasons pass."

"It's a beautiful night for a dance, isn't it? If it doesn't abhor you, perhaps I can show you an old dance that was passed down to us throughout the ages."

Sakura was sitting in the parlor alone, staring at the jewels spread out before him. It was the most difficult decision of his life thus far. Everything he felt rode on this. Not because anything of substance hung in the balance, but his heart was doing flips and his stomach was in knots.

One was a beautiful brooch, a dandelion of diamonds and gold with the golden pearl nestled along the stem. When he saw it, he thought of Dante, of how they may not see each other often...with the need to make sure his own country is taken care of, but just as dandelion puffs drift in the wind, the red string that ties them together will stretch as long as it needs.

And then the second he pulled was a pair of earrings, a diamond leaf holding onto the golden pearls, and he thought of Bael, of how wonderful they would look dangling from his ears. He thought of the woodwork he'd done and how nimble and agile he was...

He thought of them both and his heart seemed to swell in his chest. And ache as well. He was nervous, despite everything that Ashi had told him... And yet if not for the serval, he would never have gotten this far, still stuck between brothers who both tangled him up in red string.

But he had made his decision now, and with what he was doing surely rumor was spreading in the castle that the princess had finally chosen a prince... he could only imagine everyone's faces when there were two pearls given.
