oh yeah i guess i can put this here since i got quest cape, which i would personally qualify as "any%". im still playing runescape lol im afking ghouls for the champion's scroll on my second monitor

i really like runescape 3. i think nearly anyone who dunks on it hasnt actually played it lol. at its core, mechanically, it's this fascinating outsider art mmo because it inherits many of the traits that it had in its inception 22 years ago. even the stuff that's changed is so fully outside of what every other mmo does it kinda rules

that said they were sick in the head for requiring level 95 in the newest skill to get quest cape. if i just shotgunned quests when i first started this account (2019) it would have been so much faster lmao. i like necro and its my preferred combat skill rn so it definitely wasnt a bad investment but god DAMN

i would still like to go for trimmed completionist cape (which is why im currently grinding for champion's challenge, IMO likely the worst requirement) but i'm also interested in going for cape in OSRS too. ive put a couple dozen hours on the OSRS side of this account (at like 25 qp or something? all the easy stuff. running bronzeman mode) but im kinda stuck b/c i cant log into both games at the same time and im not interested in paying two subscriptions. so i have to pick between the two. and rn rs3 is still very much holding my attention

favorite skill: archaeology. its peak. i love the worldbuilding in runescape + questing and this is just the dedicated questing skill. i do kinda feel like it shouldve been an elite skill like invention or have a higher quest barrier to entry because otherwise you just barely know wtf you are digging up but whatever. it rules

least favorite skill: summoning? tbh? it drives me insane that the only way to level summoning is by crafting pouches, and one of the pouch components is untradable so i have to compulsively hoard these fucking charms for whenever i next decide to level summoning. the rewards are obviously worth it but good fucking god. followup is hunter before bgh dropped and i also have not been enjoying my time leveling invention very much

Chester Bomar Himes (July 29, 1909 – November 12, 1984) was a writer. His works include If He Hollers Let Him Go and the Harlem Detective series. In 1958 he won France’s Grand Prix de Littérature Policière.

He attended Ohio State University where he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity via the Kappa Chapter but was expelled for playing a prank. In late 1928 he was arrested and sentenced to jail and hard labor for 20 to 25 years for armed robbery and sent to Ohio Penitentiary. In prison, he wrote short stories and had them published in national magazines. He stated that writing in prison and being published was a way to earn respect from guards and fellow inmates, as well as to avoid violence.

His first stories appeared in 1931 in The Bronzeman and, starting in 1934, in Esquire. His story “To What Red Hell” as well as his novel Cast the First Stone – only much later republished unabridged as Yesterday Will Make You Cry – dealt with the catastrophic prison fire he witnessed at Ohio Penitentiary in 1930.

In 1934 he was transferred to London Prison Farm and in April 1936 was released on parole into his mother’s custody. He worked part-time jobs while continuing to write. i use the 'bronzeman' plugin for runescape because i didn't want to commit to being a full ironman. basically it just stops me from initiating a trade with other players or buying items on the GE that i haven't already obtained. (it doesn't stop me from picking things up off the floor because apparently determining the source of an item on the floor is a non-trivial thing to implement in a runelite plugin, so this is partly honor system.) however this is invisible to anyone else in the game, unlike if i were an ironman

i did some quests so i could finally work on this slayer task and killed two (2) whole elves before a stranger appeared and asked 'are you training slayer?'. i said 'unfortunately' and he initiated a trade. i have no idea what he wanted to give me but i weighed having to try to explain this fucking plugin for approximately three seconds before just logging out

There's this Japanese FGO player on youtube who I call "Bronzeman" because he does challenge quests and boss runs with ungrailed bronze Servants (and the occasional silver runs too).

In here he does the Summer 2018 rerun. I did not expect Angry Mango being used for damage.

In here he does the Epic of Remnant memorial quests with silver teams, including Romulus, Tawara Touta, Boudica and Geronimo.

I'll get around to watching his Losbelt memorial quests later but I saw Saber Gilles and Izou on the thumbnail.
