[ID: a series of picrews of my OC Bronwen. She is a slim humanoid aasimar with brown skin, ginger textured hair, and blue wings coming from her head and back. She wears gold jewelry and orange and blue clothing. In some picrews her hair is in an afro texture, whilst others it has been braided and put into buns. Her eyes are dark brown, however in some her eyes are shining white. End ID]

here she is love of my life !! She is a protector aasimar cleric, and her patron's Lathander the god of birth and renewal, and is associated with the dawn.

Bronwen has spent her whole life living in the Monastery of the Sun, which has given her a good understanding of family, love and monastic life but not much else. The order is very old, and have traded deities over time, however there are a small number who still believe in the old ways, and that the new current gods are just aspects of the old ones. Bronwen's learnt in her travels to not mention her connections too heavily, and a few lies by omission serve her much kinder than the truth. She tries to keep her aasimar race private too, however her feathered ears don't help much.

Her faith to Lathander (and a few others) is unwavering, and she tries to use her healing knowledge and powers to help as many as possible. Whilst not much of a fighter, she's trained in crossbow and mace, and has a couple combat spells up her sleeve.

It was hard adjusting from a seamless monastic family to a ragtag group, and sometimes she wishes for nothing more than to return to the monastery. She's slow to open up, and would rather spend her hours talking about her god(s) than talk about herself. However she has a lot of love for the world around her, and with each dawn spent with her group she draws that bit closer to them.

Name: Bronwen Lavellan Age: 36 Height: 6’2 (188 cm) Class: Mage Specialization: Rift mage Quirks: Bronwen is a quiet man who prefers to surround himself with nature when given the chance.  He has a space dedicated to nature and tranquility in Skyhold just adjacent to the garden.  He adores all animals though he is secretly terrified of bugs (spiders in particular) though he’ll put on a brave face for everyone else. Family: He has a daughter who is 18.  She is the product of a wild night with a local human and she stays with him in Skyhold.  Her name is Nadiya Lavellan.  His clan was hesitant to accept her but she grew on them as she took to the Dalish lifestyle despite looking like a human.  Bronwen is protective over his daughter and has taken Bull to task for even looking at her wrong.  Mama bear?  Nah, Papa Bear. Ships: Bronwen has a special place in his heart for Josephine but it takes them a long time to get together. Bronwen mostly thinks about how Josephine will take to his daughter while Nadiya absolutely adores Josephine.

I’m this 🤏 close to writing a fic about tog women (plus sartaq and fenrys because they’re the only boys who pass the vibe check) going to acotar and being disgusted by how the people are treated there by the autum court and the night court especially.

Manon and the witches basically do a mass consensual kidnapping where they gather all the llyrian women and take them away to a safe space in tog land where their wings won’t be clipped, they can learn how to fly with their wings or learn to fly with a broom or wyvern if their wings have already been clipped and where they won’t be trapped in a environment where their treated like animals. Taking them somewhere where they can freely learn to fight and do whatever they want. Teaching the young boys or teen boys who haven’t been fully taught to treat women like crap that they shouldn’t and should treat women as equals.

Yrene taking the priestesses away to tog land to give them a chance to not be in the library, giving chances to go and explore a new world safely. Her finding the men who have also been assaulted and also taking them away to a safe space since the ic (and their author)seem to not even care about them as they don’t get anything mentioned about a (separate from the library) space where they can be helped.

Elide taking the people in the CoN who have been forced to live down there for years and be mistreated by a ruler who shouldn’t even be allowed to be as cruel as he is. Taking the dreamers (because I refuse to believe mor is the only one) who have been forced to live in horrible conditions and taking them to perrath where they can be free and allow themselves to not have to worry about being cruel to survive. Helping the people who have had to be cruel to survive and getting them out and helping them. Helping children out so they aren’t taught to be cruel and aren’t forced to be quiet and subservient like she was for so long under her uncle.

Just tog women helping out the people who have been over looked and mistreated because Sharah wanted her presious inner circle to look like saints when they’re really just all assholes (Nesta and the valkery’s are cool though and they also get to go to tog land and find peace)

Finally getting around to making art of my new OCs - well, not NEW new, but newly actually drawn out instead of just living in my imaginary music videos during my commutes. I wanted to start with Bronwen because I wanted to draw my fat characters first in honour of it being Fat Liberation Month (something that I've never heard of until this year but that I really want to uplift) and also I just really like drawing Bronwen!

Brief character bio: Bronwen is the cofounder & drummer of the Wenglish queer punk band 'Llosgi'r Tai Haf'. She's relatively gruff, no-nonsense and has a strong sense of justice, with a biting wit that comes out when you least expect it. She's a multiply disabled chronic pain sufferer who often requires a cane or crutches to walk depending on the day. She' enjoys lifting weights, and has strengthened her core, arms and back and uses a specially designed drum throne in order to drum with little discomfort. She's a butch lesbian that uses she/he pronouns. She's originally from Blaenau Ffestiniog, but currently lives in Bangor with her best friend and band co-founder Madog, a trans guy she originally met at a lesbian bar before he came out.

(The reason this wasn't posted when I finished it like ten days ago is that I had to wage a war with my scanner to get it to just. Scan something.)

Sarani Shepard: meaning protector, guardian or path (gotta be honest, i knew about the first two and it's why i chose the name, but the third is a surprise to me when i googled again for this). I already kinda HCed Sarani (who had a different placeholder name at the time) as being part Indian so I was intentionally finding an Indian name that would fit. her LIs call her Rani sometimes which means 'queen' and 'joyous song' and that second one feels especially fitting as she doesnt let anyone else use her first name, and she is very happy to have people she loves and trusts 🥺

Mars Shepard: my new child i just made last night whose face isnt done yet xD got the idea of using space names from @xoshepard (thank youuu <3) and I went with Mars because roman god of WAR and also gender fuckery 😌 she's gonna be romancing Kaidan!

Nayima Surana: means gentle, delicate, tenderness. this is kind of hilarious because while that's how she starts off being her experiences have hardened her a lot 😔 i dont have a pic for her im gonna remake her when (if) i ever get back to playing dragon age. also goes by Naya (renewal, fresh). we can say that shot of darkspawn blood renewwed her and freshened her up!

Riyaad Hawke: my canon hawke is garrett riyaad is a random dude the hawkes adopted dfjkghk. name means 'beautiful garden'. if you cant tell, i almost stole his name for myself xD

Bintang: 'bintang' is the Malay word for star

Arianwen Trevelyan: means silver, blessed. she's an andrastian and blessed made sense because of that, and her hair is like blue-silver so yeah (silver when she was born, darkening to blue, was the canon i made for her i believe)

Bronwen Trevelyan: similar meaning, fair/white and blessed. she's aria's twin so it made sense.

Veara Lavellan: my lavellan used to be Valora and pretty much just chaged her name for veara. the most i found on the internet is that it means 'special' lmao

How do you think of such unique names for your OCs? They are just so random and difficult to pronounce. I have a very unique and difficult name too and I have always blamed my mom for all the difficult situations I had to endure.

I definitely put a lot of researching and thinking and character development into what I name characters (not just meaning, but what seems to "fit" their personality and life experiences, what made sense for their parents to choose, etc.). Sometimes the name is there from the start and sometimes it takes a lot of work and debating and changing my mind until I find what's right.

It's fun to see how people react to the ones I wind up with, especially across different cultures. I know Bronwen/Enikö were challenging for many folks but in general I tend to use what I consider pretty simple names (Alex, Pippa, Isabella, Sasha, Sydney, Michele, Zoe, Lily, Ezra, Karmen, Emi, Dulce, etc.) Marguerite and Nasimiyu are a little longer, maybe that makes them more complex feeling. Of course I use soooo many Korean names too.

I'm so sorry you've had to deal with difficult situations for your name though, I'm sure that's really frustrating! I grew up with the opposite experience and hated that as well, maybe there's not a great way to win 😅

It's a short little drabble (and probably a bit more tame than you were hoping for) because my muse for Bronwen and Loki is MIA rn. Still, 18+ below the cut.

She expected for a man made of so manyangles and sharp words for sex with him to be the same. For it to be hot and hard and fast with bruises on her hips and scratches down his back.

But it wasn't.

It was warm and tender and slow. He was attentive to her every move and reaction and learned her body quickly. His touches were soft and almost reverent, fingertips tracing over her skin lightly, only ever holding her firmly when she was coming apart around him.

And throughout it all, he kissed her, his lips moving from one part of her to the next, but always returning back to her own, claiming long, lingering kisses that made her feel like she was going to burst.

It was a couple of hours later when he finally stilled, his chest heaving and body sweaty. And while he had pulled out of her, he hadn't pulled away from her. Instead, he stayed, hovering over her and looking into her face as if he were in awe with what he saw there.

"What?" she asked, the word coming out airy as she attempted to catch her breath.

His lips lifted into a half smile. "Do I require a reason to look at you?"

"When you look at me like that," Bronwen said.

"And how am I looking at you?"

"Like you love me."
