Santana had tried to downplay the engagement with Brittany to her friends. Really, really tried. She had known the minute she texted Rachel, Kurt, Quinn, and Mercedes (individually, because she couldn’t handle the mess of a group chat notifications pinging on and off all day long) with a simple and to the point statement that she and Brittany were engaged again, this would be far from the end of things she would hear about it. Her friends were not the type to simply text back a congratulations with some emojis, oh no. Instead, she was immediately bombarded with so many texts and phone calls- not just from those four, but from the entirety of the Glee club- that she got frustrated and shut her phone off. That didn’t help, they just started blowing up Brittany’s phone and Santana’s laptop instead. In the end, she had to call Kurt (the slightly more reasonable, between him and Rachel) and virtually threaten him to keep him and Rachel from showing up at their apartment door.

 

Apparently, though, Santana was no longer threatening enough to  scare them. Because Friday night, when she and Brittany got home from their respective responsibilities of the day, Santana could tell even before going to open the apartment door that something was wrong.

 

“Call the police, the lights are on inside and we didn’t leave them like that!” she hissed, grabbing Brittany’s arm. “Someone broke in!”

 

Straining to hear, still grasping Brittany, she realized that someone inside the apartment door was talking, trying unsuccessfully to keep their voice quiet. Actually….wait, was that more than one person talking? How many people had broken into the apartment? Was it a gang?!

 

And then she heard one all too familiar voice, attempting louder than all the rest of them combined, to shush everyone “because Santana and Brittany will be here any minute now!” That was when the penny dropped, and Santana dropped Brittany’s arm, growling aloud.

 

“Oh no. No, they did NOT.”

 

No longer the slightest bit afraid of being attacked, but rather of the possibly less welcome ambush she was now certain awaited her, she unlocked the door, immediately greeted by a swarm of voices calling out in unison.

 

“Surpriseeeee! Happy engagement!!!!”

 

Santana just stood there, slowly taking in the huge congratulatory banner, blown up picture posters of Brittany and Santana, balloons, streamers, and party food thrown over what seemed every inch of surface of her apartment. As she had feared, Rachel and Kurt stood in the front of the rest of the group, beaming with pride at themselves and practically bouncing on their toes in anticipation of their response. Just behind them, also far too happy looking for her liking, stood Quinn, Mercedes, Mike, Tina, Puck, Sam, Blaine, Artie, and Sugar.

 

Turning back to Brittany, Santana deadpanned, “Thanks. We forgot we have plans, bye!”

 

She made a motion to grab the doorknob, ready to flee and slam it all in their faces.

SANTANA LOPEZ WANTED FOR 3X3 FUTURE GLEE

It’s been six years, six long year, since the original Seniors of McKinley High’s Glee Club have graduated. Six long years since most of them have seen each other. But Mr. Schue, the man who started it all, is finally getting married to Emma, and who else would Wemma invite to their wedding than the Glee Club that brought them so close together? Now the Gleeks are heading back to Lima where they’ll reunite, old feelings will resurface, drama will ensue, just like old times.

Everyone knows the Dark Carnival as a place of mystery and wonder. The show is constantly on the road, it appears without warning, and leaves without a trace. So it's no wonder that nobody ever connects the strange happenings that follow the carnival's tour path. What the outside world doesn't know is that all of the employees at the carnival have something to hide, and not all of them are as friendly as they seem. Even so, it came as a shock when the first carnival employee disappeared. People don't just leave the Dark Carnival. But there was no evidence of foul play-- or at least none that was officially released.

Are the ships from canon endgame like Brittana or St. Berry?

Hi there! Thank you so much for the question!

While everything from before the 2020 timejump is canon (such as Brittana getting married, or St. Berry rekindling their romance), everything in the jump itself is less fact and more possibility. I don’t want anyone to feel as though they have to do a certain ship, but I do consider the 2020 timejump as something to explain or aim for, or at least keep in mind. So, yes and no? I consider the 2020 timejump as sort of Canon Light, if you will. If there’s something you definitely don’t want to include in your character’s future plans, feel free to mention it in your application, especially if it affects other characters.

The day of the pride parade, Santana had restless sleep the night before. She had fidgeted and worried, her thoughts tormenting her with every possible negative or scary outcome that could occur, no matter how unrealistic, and she had secretly hoped to herself that when the morning came, the weather would be so terrible that the parade would be called off.

 

There was no such luck. The morning dawned bright, shiny, and clear, with not a hint of a cloud in the sky. As Santana rolled onto her back, looking with a scowl out the window of their bedroom, her stomach twisted and churned, and she decided then and there that it wasn’t happening.

 

Crowds of people? Strangers? Lots of men, all gathered together, even if most of them had not the slightest interest in her? All sorts of possible triggers of sights and smells and sounds…no. Maybe she thought she was ready a few weeks ago, but now that the day had come, she wasn’t so sure. Now, she was more inclined to want to hide.

 

“Britt?” she said gruffly, avoiding her eyes as she continued to stare out the window. “I don’t want to go to the parade today. Let’s just stay home. I think it will be boring. We can be all proud to be gay right here at home without the entire world being up in our business about it.”
