Make breakfast delightful with these Easy British Sausage Rolls. Perfectly seasoned pork sausage wrapped in flaky puff pastry, these rolls are a classic and satisfying morning treat.
Ingredients: 1 pound pork sausage meat. 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed. 1 egg, beaten for egg wash. 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 400F 200C. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to a rectangle shape. Divide the sausage meat into two portions and shape each into a long, thin log, matching the length of the pastry. Place one sausage log along the edge of the pastry, leaving a small border. Roll the pastry over the sausage, sealing the edge with a little water. Repeat with the second sausage log. Brush the rolled pastry with the beaten egg, ensuring an even coat. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired. Using a sharp knife, cut each long roll into smaller, bite-sized sausage rolls. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is cooked through. Serve the Easy British Sausage Rolls warm as a delicious breakfast treat.

C'est aussi l'adresse où venir déguster un excellent fish & chips qui expédie directement en Grande-Bretagne. C'est maintenant l'endroit où je peux retrouver des saveurs d'enfance et d'adolescence, celles des festins cuisinés dans sa cuisine débordante d'ustensiles en tout genre, jusque dans son four (à bien vider avant d'allumer), les dîners de Betty, ma grand-mère de cœur qui vivait dans la petite Cannes anglaise, Bournemouth. Betty était la mère de la pen-friend de ma maman, avec qui elle est restée en contact régulier après le décès prématuré de Janet. L'Entente propose depuis plusieurs mois son roast dinner du week-end, et nous venons enfin de le goûter. Tout est cuisiné maison, avec beaucoup de goût et un vrai savoir-faire. Nous nous sommes régalés. La viande est parfaite, les Yorkshire puddings merveilleux à se gorger de sauce, les légumes ne manquent pas, et pour couronner le festin il y a le double-baked chocolate cake qui mérite à lui seul une visite dans ce chouette restaurant. 𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🥩 I’m gonna put it out there straight away, @rondoldn at @thehoxtonhotel Holborn is one of the best meals I’ve had this year. With @chefgillard of @st.john.restaurant heading up the kitchen, you know you are in safe hands. The menu is mostly built with a British influence, split into snacks, starters, and mains. The gruyere cheese straws are a great little nibble, and the salt pollock tempura bites are so soft inside within a very light batter. It was the starters that stole the night for me. The braised squid in a red wine and shallot sauce on top of bread was incredible. I’ve never had squid like this before, and the braising reminded me of braised beef from when I was a kid. The crispy pigs cheek was equally as impressive, too. That soft texture of the pork with a layer of fat above it, capped with a thin crispy layer is full of flavour. Each bite gives you 3 different textures and flavour and I honestly could have eaten a bowl of this as my main course. But I didn’t, so for mains we got the venison haunch, which came with a beautiful sweet and sour red cabbage, and roast Sutton hoo chicken, which came with an incredible pâté which I could have eaten endless amounts of. I have no doubt that every dish on this menu bangs, but I think the choices we went for were incredible and should definitely be considered as your options if you visit, in which I recommend you do.
