i think totk will be forever irredeemable in my eyes if for nothing else then for how i felt when i beat the water temple
#i have never been so utterly destroyed by succeeding in a game before. that ‘dungeon’ was the worst thing ive experienced from this series#the only good thing was how it firmly punted the bar down into hell since i did it first#bitching abt totk#bringing that tag back. i remembered it earlier and good fucking god what a dogshit excuse for a dungeon#salty talks#honestly all of the dungeons in that game were fucking pitiful and insultingly easy to beat with like no real effort or thought#ill always hold the divine beasts in higher regard for how they made use of interesting gimmicks and just. were better experiences overall#cannot fucking- i really need 3d loz to gtfo of the open world sandbox thing bc those travesties of dungeons proved that this shit#aint gonna work like holy FUCK none of those felt good to progress in none of them were interesting to explore#the only exceptions being the fire temple bc at least it was like. a little more-dungeony and was helped by some traversal puzzling#though you couldve just skipped the whole fuckin thing bc thats what we want possible in our dungeons#and rhe first level of the lightning temple bc it was like. actually reminiscent of interesting dungeon design and then fumbled hard#GOD i will likely never fucking get over how catastrophically disappointing that water temple was jesus fucking christ
