GLTAS’ Larger Role in COIE 3 continued:

 At long last, Razer is the first one to speak, “A-Aya? Is it really you?” His voice choked up with melancholy.

The former android geese is at him unaware of who he is, but sensing some sort of connection between them.

Before Aya could say anything, Razer loses any form of restraint and embraces her in a tearful hug.

Tears stream down his face as the hug grows tighter.

“Oh Aya! I’m so glad I’ve found you!” He sobs, “I’m so sorry for what had happened before. I meant what said on Odym; you have more of a soul than I ever did.”

Aya, still confused, shrugs before reciprocating the hug.

After parting, the two gaze at each other before Aya speaks up, “While I do appreciate the hug, there is one thing that vexes me.”

“What might that be?” Razer asks.

“Who are you?” Though the question is innocent enough, its dual meaning pierces Razer’s heart worse than any knife ever could.

His face falls; the woman he spent 11 years searching for, didn’t even recognize him.

Now all the effort he spent on his quest was for nothing.

Though this brings him pain, he mentally refuses to let Aya see this.

They decide to walk around Satellite some more that is until another old friend arrives with some more recruits.

It’s revealed to be Kilowagg and he is ecstatic to see Razer. But when he sees who the dual Lantern is with, his jaw drops.

“Holy Gnartz! The kid actually found her.”

In classic Kilowagg fashion, he barrels straight towards them with a look of excitement etched on his face.

He bluntly shoves Razer aside and pulls Aya into one of his famous bear hugs.

“Kid! It’s so great to see again! I never thought Razer would be able to find you.”

Aya looks puzzled.

“So how’ve you been kid?” Kilowagg asked as he slapped her on the back.

“Everything has been functioning at optimal levels Green Lantern” Aya responds.

Kilowagg notices Aya’s behavior, “Uh kid…don’t you recognize me?”

“Negative; my memory banks are still recovering from my recent transmogrification.” Aya replies

“W-What do you…?” “Kilowagg…a word?”  Razer says through gritted teeth.

After being pulled off to the side, Kilowagg is informed about Aya’s current predicament.

“Oh kid; I’m so sorry.” “As am I old friend. As am I.” Razor size as he hangs his head in defeat.

About to start All the Young Dudes by MsKingBean89 on ao3.

Nervous as fuck. It’s massive, for one, and I’m not exactly ready for the grip wolfstar will have on my life afterward. The Marauders were a secret love of mine when I was much younger and no one I knew at the time was really interested in talking about it with me. So the anticipation of being on the edge of the cliff about to dive into the fanfic that is considered the Bible for the ship basically terrifies me in a way. I’ve been in deep with bkdk/dkbk and klance for years but returning to this ship after a long time away kinda feels like going back to where it all began for me.

As I take the time to read in between writing my own book, it amazes me how excited I am to get started. Comfort ships for me really are the ones who never got their happy ending and it hurts. It just makes me feel like it’s 2012 and I’m reading HP fanfic when I’m supposed to be in class for cyber school, desperately trying to find a way to express how much I loved these characters and connecting with stories about them. It makes me hope that my characters bring people the love these do for me someday.

Im really excited tho. Nervous, but excited. We all know they deserved better, before the story ever starts. Reminds me of a song.

in terms of Actual cancelled cartoons and not like, cartoons that ended at 2 or 3 seasons and ppl are mad it didn't go on forever, the answer has to be gltas </3333 when i watched the show i didnt even care about hal i was just there for aya but now im like omgggggg there were so many cool things they could've done. ik we got a partial conclusion to razer's story in yj (insane they did that btw. im putting my liveblog reaction below) but i still wanted to see things continue!!! can u IMAGINEEEE a fully animated yellow lantern arc? id pass away

GLTAS Rant

Currently in a slump over GLTAS, I can’t stop watching it. It’s just perfection, I am blind to all flaws, of which there are none because it’s so good. The characters, gorgeous, including those added solely in the show (Razer, Aya). I’ve seen all too many shows where they try to add new characters to the universe by means of the show and it just doesn’t work. The character sticks out like a sore thumb and doesn’t quite mesh with the other characters. In GLTAS they’re integrated wonderfully. Razer seems like a beloved side character that was just never given the spotlight before (like Tomar-Re), and Aya is a loveable new character that actually brings something to the table. The first season is great with tons of twists and turns that actually add something to the story, unlike those stupid twists that can also happen where it’s predictable and/or completely out of left field.

I love Saintwalker’s little arc, it’s so good and he’s such a peaceful guy, and him helping against the Red Lanterns is a little predictable but it’s done in such a way that it’s satisfying. The whole bit where Razer teleports to Oa using his love for Aya destroyed me. I love their puppy love, budding relationship even though Razer is a complete idiot most of the time. I’d criticize Aya but she’s perfection, and also a robot who’s learning through experiences so I can’t really fault her for not understanding stuff because she’s asking and no one is giving her a straight answer.

Kiliwog is a gem, I’m not a fan of Hal, but I don’t think anyone is really is. He’s like a placeholder, textbook MC. My personal favourite Earthling lantern is John Stewart; probably because I grew up with him in JLTAS. Salaak and Tomar-Re are my favs and always will be and Razer and Aya have completely obliterated my brain in terms of love and the capacity of love. Like, the whole second season Razer is just trying to figure it all out, and trying his best to sort out his feelings and Aya is just being way too direct. I guess that’s the only criticism I can give about her, and even then I mean, it makes sense why she’s that way. But still he probably acted the way he did at times because she was being to straightforward and he wasn’t prepared with an answer because he hadn’t had time to think about it, which is obvious to the audience and despite this it’s still easy to dislike his actions because Aya is so wonderful.

The pacing is pretty steady despite it being a tad rushed in season 2, I believe because it was being cancelled (so sad R.I.P), and I wish the show had developed to the point of introducing the Indigo lanterns, and seeing more of Larfleeze, and seeing Sinestro become a yellow lantern, and seeing more of Razers journey. Because, ok, in Young Justice as happy as I am that there was a whole episode about Razer, it didn’t really add anything? Like yeah woohoo he’s a blue lantern, we already knew that was happening, yeah he’s still angry, no duh, he’s a living being, he has multiple emotions, yeah he’s a little bitch who wants to give up. That’s been his character since forever. Like it was a fun watch (more painful than fun it was so good to see him again my heart was hurting) but nothing much happened as far as him finding Aya, yk, the thing that becomes his big main goal. At the end he goes right back to it, probably because the writers didn’t want to do anything too drastic but still. Like progress, a rumour about her being somewhere? Anything? Just hope from a feeling, like okay whatever that’s pretty cool but a little unsatisfying to me.

Bless this show I hope it gets rebooted (as is started up again, not changed and destroyed like what happened to Teen Titans).

putting my thoughts on GL #6 below the cut

jumping right into hal constructing kilowog - I don't trust jeremy adams with the emotional weight that comes with this revelation. it'll probably be brushed over which is a shame. because like I said this is sooooo mentally ill and sad.

overall i think the issue was stupid LMAO i know we're talking about superhero comics but the dialogue was stilted and the mech fight was dumb. the art is pretty as always but sometimes I was confused about the movements on the page

and why are they drawing hal like that. it's like they forgot what he looked like by the end of the book. can we pls bring back the hal who was inspired by paul newman? if only for consistency??

and i cant believe we still dont know what happened on korugar I feel like it's been years. that being said hal and sinestro are soooo ex-boyfriend coded. shoutout to the ollie mention.

and i like razer yall should watch gltas if you haven't seen it. it's easily DC's best animated tv show or movie.

yo i heard a green lantern 2023 theory that i would like to talk about

i was listening to a green lantern podcast and Apparently there’s a page missing in the digital edition of green lantern #2!!!

such an important page to remove lol?? anyway this explains where all the other 2814 gls are (i thought i missed an issue or something) and most importantly 4 this post it says that [redacted] is deceased according to hal.

HERE’S THE THEORY (last chance to avoid possible spoilers)

kilowog is dead and hal’s been hallucinating him the entire book. it makes sense considering the opening scene in issue 1 with hal pretending to talk to kilowog, and the fact that kilowog was chilling with him at his trailer in issue 2. esp in issue 2 the vibe was off… earth is under quarantine so killowog wouldn’t be allowed to visit?? but i figured he was breaking to law for hal.

the podcast hosts (here’s the pod) go on to say that this explains hal’s weird treatment of carol in issue 2. regardless of ur opinion on hal locking the boyfriend in the bathroom and harassing carol on the plane it’s 1 fucking creepy and 2 out of character !!! having unprocessed grief would explain his desperation 4 her. this doesn’t excuse carol’s characterization i still think she should have told him to sprint across the 101.

but ya i love a grief storyline and hal’s mental breakdowns so i’m excited and i think this theory is true!! they also say something about kilowog being the reason why hal knows he’s in a dream in his knight terrors issue.

I don’t care if you’re tired of hearing about it. It just irks me so much that Grandon KNOWS one of the largest driving forces of the fans pushing for a YJ revival is to see Wally’s resurrection. They knew that going into it!

Like, I really wanna know if they all sat down in the writer’s room and were like, “Okay, let’s see how many seasons of the show we can make without bringing Wally back before the ratings start to drop.”

Now, here we are again post-season four. The #KeepBingingYJ posts are making the rounds again, and I just? Don’t care anymore? The mediocre writing of the past two seasons is NOT enough to make me want more of it. Sorry.

GLTAS' Extended Role in COIE 3 Part 7

With the multiverse on the brink of collapse, Hal can't help but worry about one person: Carol Ferris of his earth.

He decides to bring her to Satellite in hopes of reconnecting with her.

So he approaches the DC Trinity and asks them to grant him this boon. When questioned, Hal states that she could be of use if not just to have some additional company as they stave off the multiverse's imminent destruction.

Batman reluctantly agrees, but has Hal stay behind whilst he, himself, fetches her. Hal warns him about her not answering to strangers. The Dark Knight assures him that he knows how to get her to listen.

On GLTAS' earth, Carol Ferris is in her office finishing up some paperwork when she notices the giant torn seam in the sky.

Upon witnessing it, she can only assume that there is trouble on the horizon. So she goes over to her desk drawer and pulls out a small box. Carol opens it to reveal her Star Sapphire ring

As she gazes at it, memories of her time on Zamaron flash through her mind.

"Huh, and they say I'm a split-personality." A voice says, snapping her back to reality.

Carol jumps and to her surprise, a well-dressed man emerges from the shadows of her office. "Who are you and how'd you get in here?" She asks worriedly.

"My name is Bruce Wayne and I would've gladly made an appointment, but there was no-one at the front desk." "That's because my receptionist is out on sick leave. What do you want?"

"I came to recruit you for a very important mission." Bruce says. "Let me guess. Something to do with the large tear in the sky?" "You're even more intelligent than your files lets on." "M-My file?" Carol stammers.

"Yes, for example: Your name is Carol Ferris. You inherited your father's aircraft company upon his passing, you were a decorated air-force pilot prior to that, and have a strict rule about inner-office relationships."

"Huh, I guess someone's been doing his homework." Carol scoffs. "I'm not here to play games. The fate of your reality hangs in the balance." "Well I don't see how I will be of any help." Carol remarks solemnly.

The two CEOs stare at each other intently.

"What's this do?" Bruce says, holding the Star Sapphire ring as Carol frantically searches through her coat pockets in disbelief.

"No buttons. Not even a tiny switch. I assume this works off mental concentration?" "Try emotional autonomy." Carol corrects, "B-But how did you take that without me noticing?"

"Simple: you weren't concentrating." Bruce quips, flashing a cocky smile. "Oh ha ha. Give me that!" Carol snaps, angrily snatching her ring back from Bruce.

"For future reference, don't ever do that again." "Unless I want to." Bruce says dismissively.

"What's the significance of that ring to you anyway?" Bruce asks, genuinely curious.

Carol recants her adventure on Zamaron and her trial by fire against Atrocitus. "In short, Ghia'ta not only sacrificed herself to save Hal & me, but to enforce her newly gained perception of love." Carol takes a deep breath before continuing. "She died because she believed in me."

"Is that why you choose not to wear that ring?" Bruce asked.

"I can't call myself worthy of being her successor unless I was willing to do the same." "And are you?"

Carol stares down at her ring in contemplation. "Maybe." As Bruce starts to leave, Carol calls out to him. "Wait. I'll have to make some arrangements first. But otherwise, I'm in." Bruce nods in approval.

Once everything is set, Bruce requests Satellite to beam them up.

Upon arriving, Carol is taken aback by the sheer magnitude of Satellite's operations as well as the amount of heroes present.

"Just who are you to these people?" Carol asks as Bruce puts on his cowl whilst her head was turned.

"I'm Batman." he replies (the iconic Danny Elfman theme playing as he says it)

Carol cocks an eyebrow and replies, "Yeah, never heard of you." She then spots Hal from across the room and runs over to him.

Hal is, of course, elated to see her as he embraces her in a hug.

"I told you I'd see around the galaxy." "Well, at least I know you're a woman of your word." Hal remarks slyly. "Don't push it Hal."

The Green Lantern then catches her up on the current predicament. "So if we lose..." Carol ventures. "So does the entire multiverse." Hal finishes gravely.

"Right. So...no pressure then." Carol quips nervously.

She then notices Kilowog chatting amidst some random DC heroes. "Kilowog. Is that you?"

The GL sergeant's face lights up with elation when he sees her. "Carol! How've ya been poozer?" He exclaims as he scoops her up in one of his famous bear hugs, nearly suffocating her.

"Alright there big guy. Take it easy on her." Hal advises.

"Are you kidding? Your girl is just as durable as any GL I've ever trained." Kilowog says defensively as he releases Carol from their hug.

"It's great to see you again sweetie." Carol says warmly before pecking him on the cheek affectionately; causing him to blush.

"Okay, what do we do first?" "Nothing." "You're serious?" Carol asks, feeling her heart sink with disappointment. "We're stationary for the time being."

"Ugh, great. I get dragged all the way up here just to sit around and do nothing." Carol sulks.

Hal tries to cheer Carol up by encouraging her to go socialize with the other heroes. "Think of it as one of your company mixers."

"Hal, I don't think this is anything remotely close to that and even if it were, I don't have anything nice to wear."

"Carol, we're surrounded by a plethora of people who are probably dressed worse than you. I think you should be fine."

Carol sighs in exasperated defeat and wanders off to go mingle amongst the various heroes as the fate of the multiverse hangs in the balance.

How long have you been rping? What are some fandoms you were in before? Do you gravitate toward certain characters? @bushelofmuses

//Well, I continued to play pretend at recess well into middle school. When that stopped, I transitioned into online roleplay, which I've done on and off for about 7(?) years now. Specifically on Tumblr, it's been about 2 years, the first year being in a conversational rp group that sorta died off, leading me to get into indie rp and back to my semi-lit roots.

I'm not really involved in fandoms, but my interest in the media sources never leaves me. As far as rp though, the only fandoms I've written in before that I don't have a blog for right now are Marvel, TMNT, GLTAS, HP, and Descendants/EAH. I've thought about bringing back Aya and my HP oc, but the GLTAS fandom is pretty small and the whole JKR thing has made me nervous about interacting with that fandom, not knowing who shares in her bigotry and all that.

As for characters, I tend to gravitate towards misunderstood folks, survivors, anxious nerds, charismatic flirts, and goofballs. Also people who've experienced a lot of trauma and/or share symptoms of my mental illnesses. And good LGBT rep; that's always nice.

I just finished YJ season 3 and...

Holy shiiiiit

It was A M A Z I N G! (SPOILERS INCOMING)

They brought in so many characters! So, so many characters that they could go on with the show for so long if they just have the right tools. Like... Jason (I asSUME) is with Ra’s al Ghul and... DAMIAN. Also Harper, CASSANDRA, holy cow, the whole BATFAM is evolving! I   WANT   TO   KNOW   MORE   AND I KNOW I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE!

Also... Two words: WALLY   WEST. They DARED to show his death scene again. There were also a couple of more references to him (Dick calling Will “Wall” and not noticing it himself, this man NEEDS HIS BEST FRIEND BACK, HIS DEATH WAS THE MAIN REASON HE “QUIT”).

One thing I’m not happy about... Tara being a fckn spy AGAIN. Like for god’s sake DC, you had the Judas Contract already, ISN’T THAT ENOUGH!? Now I just hope with my whole heart that they don’t make Tara and Slade... ugh, I don’t even want to think about it.

But anyways, I’m so fricking happy this show is back! It was a bit cruel in some parts, which was not YJ’s style back then (I think we saw “blood” only in one episode??? Tell me if I’m wrong). It went a bit on to the DC’s-New-52-stylish-movie style but it was still Young Justice in my opinion. I don’t know if any of the writers changed or anything sooo... Yeah.

I hope they are working on more episodes, I’m not on track really cause I thought I wouldn’t be able to watch the episodes so I was like naaah even though I cared but I didn’t memorize all the schedules they published so yeah... If you want to talk more about the new season or the whole show in general, please hit me up!

A quick note:

WHAT IS UP WITH GL CORPS. Vandall Savage talked about them with Dark(fckn)seid, something about the corps fighting against something I can’t remember now AND THEN HAL SHOWS UP TO BRING THE FATHERBOX TO SILAS AND HIS HAIR IS HALF GRAY. PLEASE EXPLAIN. And also, now that YJ is back, GLTAS should be brought back too! Just stating facts, that’s all.
