Fun facts about Brightberry! [Bright X Raspberry]

1- They started dating about one year and a half after Bright "agreed" to join Midnight. Of course, with Midnight's permission and Rasp having to go through neck pain first.

2-Before they started dating, they would argue often here and there. Rasp still did hold a grudge against Bright for (MAJOR PROLOGUE SPOILER) not coming to rescue him as promised, and for turning against everyone. That grudge became stronger when Cross was murdered.

3-Bright often ruffles Rasp's hair. It's some kind of habit.

4-Bright knows the exact time when Rasp comes to his room to spend time with him. Honestly, why wouldn't he know- If Rasp is a little late, he will ask for an explanation.

5-Rasp uses pet names. A lot. He also loves it when he's called "sweetheart"

6-They both rant about Ink. Why? They hate his guts.

7-Rasp really loves kids, he wishes to have his own one day. But he can't trust Bright with that, knowing how neglectful this man was to Lux and Starcross. Heck he even snapped and killed Starcross and then betrayed his husband next. Sometimes he wonders why and how did he fall in love with this sicko- The effects of working for Midnight finally catching up with his sanity I suppose.

8-When Rasp often finds Bright having a mental breakdown, he lets his partner have a moment to calm down first, before going to him and hugging him tight. Bright either ends up crying on his shoulder, passing out from lack of sleep, or just staring at him and not reacting much.

9-Bright shows affection with words + headpats (hc), Rasp shows affection with actions (hugs, acts of kindness, etc.)

10-When Bright messes up trying to make his braid, he asks Rasp to do it for him. Rasp puts a few blue flowers on his hair and says it suits him <3

“Oh. Do you mean like… the first time? Because like, originally I’m from Maine. Which is like. Oh, shit, do you know like Earth, and the United States? Yeah, that one near the top with the ocean at the bottom.” They are trying to get their hands in the shape of the state, but it’s not really working very well. So they decide to give up on that. It is obvious that they are still freaking out a little, because while he has lowered the gun, it is still pointed at them. Really not ideal.

(Should they not move their hands? Probably. But they cannot stay still for the life of them. Almost in a literal sense, if this is what gets them killed.)

“But like, in the literal before I was here, I was actually in England for a little bit. Uh, some fuckin’ like… It was this middle of nowhere town. I don’t remember the name. Brighton? Brightberry? Bright-something. Oh, England is another country, by the way. Which is also what the United States is. And like…”

For the first time, they finally slow down just a little bit. They take an actual breath. “It wasn’t that exciting. It was just like, the 1980’s, so people were just like… doing drugs and listening to like. Queen, and whatever the fuck.” Should they explain this? Maybe. But they don’t.

He doesn't budge at their request - he'll shoot whoever he damn well pleases, thank you very much - but when they tried to explain whatever their... Deal was, he cocks his head to the side, giving them a curious look as he lowers his aim slightly. "You think I'm not gonna believe that?" He questions, almost sarcastically - when you've been floating around space as long as he has, you see some weird shit. Old gods, centuries-long wars, the shattering of a universe - hell, his crewmate was in a relationship with the very spaceship they were on. Time and space travel was par for the course.

It is interesting that they can't control it, though. Their confusion seems genuine enough, so after doing a full circle around them he lowers his rifle, although he was still unsure about this whole situation. "Space." He confirms, huffing a bit to himself - what exactly was he supposed to do in this scenario? Most of the time he'd have no problem just shooting them out into the cold void, or kicking them onto the planet they were currently hovering near, or feeding them to the octokittens, but... There is one thing he wonders about, enough to give him pause.

"Alright, fine. So ya ended up here by complete accident. I'll take your word for it. But where the hell did you come from in the first place?" There's definitely a right answer here, one that'll determine whether or not he keeps them around or leaves them to fend for themself... As much as he wouldn't admit it, he's still got a soft spot for Earth, despite having abandoned it long ago.

bright thinks strawberry is super adorable and loves to just bring down her mask and peck her cheek or kiss her on the lips

they play with each others hair a lot and do very cute things

i hc that strawberry has short hair but has bangs so bright likes to tie it back and make a lil ponytail KJHDHJG

strawberry doesnt like anyone else seeing her without her hood up though (i hc her as trans and in the very first few stages of her transition so... shes a lil Insecure abt it, but bright loves her anyway)

So this was fun! I never draw ship art, but I've been starting to get into it, and the Cookie Run fandom has so many good ones!

It took nearly a week, cause I've been feeling kinda apathetic, but I'm feeling a little better now!

Sea Fairy and Moonlight was one of my first, and they're actually my Trophy Race Combi! I call them Tide Lovers. Princess and Pistachio is also a classic.

I have some pure kiddo ships between Soda and Peppermint, and Strawberry and Gingerbright! All I think of is a Steven and Connie type relationship.

And finally, yall have made me ship Hero and Lemon, and @rxxb33 has dragged me into the Kiwi and Roll cake ship!
