So yeah, I decided to stick with the bat wings. I'm still tossing up whether to make her a fairy or a demon, but right now I'm slightly leaning towards Bat wings, cause what if fairies with bat wings are seen as an ill omen, or otherwise ostracized from other fairy courts, even the unseelie court. It could also tie into her backstory.

Hags

Hags, often related to or mistaken as vampires, are a type of unseelie fey known for their dark magic and hunger for blood and mortal flesh. If they are not brutal nobles who pursue power through the most ruthless means possible, they are ostracized spell casters who use their spells to hex the mortals. They are born from flowers, grown after a ritual using the blood of a hag to be born. They typically take the shape of mammals, with non-mammal and insectoid features. This includes, but is not limited to, bat wings, feathered wings, insect wings, pointed tails, flower tails, claws, fangs, multiple eyes, unnatural skin/fur/scale/hair/eye color, shifting abilities, the ability to unnaturally warp their voices at will, forked/elongated tongues, natural access to magic. 

Most Hags are villainized and hunted by Paladins and would-be heroes looking to make a name for themselves. Hags are also feared among the seelie and unseelie courts for their power but are often sought out and even exploited for that power.

Phiona does roller derby! However it's not... conventional roller derby. It involves magic, and weird tracks... and swords.

I'd like to think that the first thing a witch learns is how to weave their magic more subtly. Cleaning, Cooking, Sewing their own clothes, making their own jewelry, and making their own makeup and skin/hair care products are just simple things that teach them how to not only weave their spells but also be self-efficient.

you want so badly to be soft. to take the hand that you are offered instead of baring your teeth. and it might be hard to believe, but you are soft. you're the softest one out there.

I... really think about this sometimes. I think about how Phiona wants so desperately to be seen as soft, but always has her guard up. Because she has to. She has to bare her teeth, but in her world, if she doesn't, she dies. Either she dies or someone she loves dies defending her. And she can't let that happen.

Never again.

I think about her desires to dress hyperfeminine and her utter disdain for her bat wings. How she wishes she could turn bat wings into butterfly wings, or just do away with her wings altogether. How she envies Seelie Fey, and by extension her friend, Willow, for their butterfly, but never says anything because that's not fair to Willow.

Her insecurities shouldn't be her friend's problems.

She wants to love herself. She wants to think that there's nothing wrong with her! Plenty of mythical creatures have bat wings! Plenty of Fey have Bat wings!! But... she can't. She can't be happy with herself.

Maybe it might have something to do with her mother, Carmilla's, side of the family...

there's something inside a werewolf that's sharp, thorns and barbs coiling up in tight knots of vine even on their best days. halfway through a conversation, you'll forget your happiness and the pain comes back in a flash. you never meant to, but the sharpness has done harm on your behalf. it's defensive. it's leftover artillery from a battle you spent so long fighting that it still doesn't feel like it's truly over, does it? you want so badly to be soft. to take the hand that you are offered instead of baring your teeth. and it might be hard to believe, but you are soft. you're the softest one out there. it'll just take a while to untangle those vines enough to know that very little is often life - or - death, and not everything touches to hurt.

The daughter of The Queen of Witches, Phiona takes on the responsibility of taking on Dyspear, protecting her kingdom, and saving the Hope Kingdom from despair. Armed with her own, handmade dress-up keys, princess perfume, and the rose hymn wand, she proudly takes on the title of Cure Oracle, The Princess of The Arcane arts.

Phiona is super touchy and affectionate with those she's close to. One of her go tos is hugging on your arm and holding your hand as you walk. Her mothers, Peppion, Harper, Elise, Jean, Beau, Dawn, Willow, anyone she's tight with really. It's her subtle way of saying "No matter what we go through we go through it together."

She realized too young that she had to save herself. Time and time again, she had to save herself. No one's gonna save her...

...No matter how many people she saves. It will never be returned. No matter how many stars she wishes on. No one's listening...It's fine though. The hero doesn't need to be saved.

The daughter of infamous witches in the magical world, Phiona has lived most of her life isolated from her peers, with few friends. Despite this, she is a bright and friendly girl who takes her studies in the arcane arts very seriously.

One day, her life is flipped upside down when she finds The Linkle Rose Quartz Stone. When used in combination with The Rose Hymn Wand, she transforms herself into the legendary Pretty Cure witch, Cure Glamour.

If it's not obvious yet, insulting Phiona's family is a huge trigger for her. Mostly cause she's had to hear that shit all her young life. People bad mouthing Roselyne or gossiping about Jacklyne, insults towards the circus. Her little baby ears had heard it all and it leaves such a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. Especially when it's not true in her eyes. Her family are some of the most giving and hard working people, and to have people tarnish their names because they don't mean society's standards fills her with rage and sorrow.
