I have had such an amazing time putting this book together, it is the end to a process I started whilst writing Last Arrow of the Woodland Realm, HTTK book six. This is the second part of a story arc I have been writing since I finished HTTK, squeezing it in between writing the Curio’s and Han’s Cottage. VCP have issued the final cover, which you can see on their page for now, but I will add an image here soon, for now, here is the synopsis.

Work is now underway of the second book of the new story arc to follow on from the Rise of the Raven. This book, which can be read as a stand alone story, features Branna, as she goes to the aid of her granddaughter, Morgana of Cornwall, and it is a beautifully twisting tale, of corruption, darkness and light. I am really delighted with this one.

The final stages of the cover are being completed, and it looks wonderful, and I will be sharing the full images in the next week or so. If you have not read Rise of the Raven, now is the time to start, and for those of you who have read Kingdom, there are some answers to be revealed. Not long now, The Countess of Darkness is coming.

Rise of the Raven, was written as the first part of what is a three part story Arc, of stand alone stories, that also can be read as an arc story that runs parallel to Heirs to the Kingdom. All three stories feature the new characters of Branna and Ariel, two members of the Fae race, striving to get the truth out, as they battle against, power, greed and corruption.

Rise of the Raven is their story, and is in many ways, a dark political fantasy, documenting the struggles of our two main characters, as they fight to break free of the grip of the Queen of the Moon. This is a brilliantly written story, that will leave you gasping, as the story twists and weaves and a very unpredictable way, and yet, will have you hanging on every word. It is beautifully dark, and yet filled with love, as it takes you on a journey, of lies, deceit, broken hearts and betrayal, all woven together with superb skill, by Robin John Morgan.

The second part of this story is due for release in late spring 2023, when The Countess of Darkness will follow on from this first story, and now is the time to start reading Rise of the Raven, you will not be disappointed.

I am really delighted, as my next book, “The Countess of Darkness” is now in the formatting stage of production. The text is currently undergoing the styling and cutting from the manuscript format, into a more recognisable Book Interior format. Today, I have been looking at the cover, which is half way through the design process, and is looking amazing.

I have in mind, a late spring release, and I am on target for that, which is exciting, because I really am dying to get this into the hands of readers. I am not at this point going to give too much away, but I cannot deny, I know this will really surprise readers, as I have been sitting on few secrets for quite some time.

This is, as I already stated is not a follow up to Rise of the Raven, but it does feature Branna and Ariel in her crystal box, and it is part of a story arc to work in with and alongside Heirs to the Kingdom, but it can be read as a stand alone book. The Countess of Darkness, is the second book of this new three book arc story and looks into the life of Morgana of Cornwall, as she begins a life that will lead her into the darkness. For HTTK readers, this is an unmissable book, with a lot of answers, which is all I will say for now. It will be here soon, so get ready.
