Is it just a horrible feeling I've got all day, or did the boys, bar the four who get their separate paragraph deaths, die in that paragraph in the reverse order they were introduced in A Group Which?

Thanks for asking, that's a good question!  And it's weird, because they DON'T. The Death Order goes:

Bossuet-Feuilly-Courfeyrac-Joly, with Combeferre getting his own bit of a pause. Which means that the patterns of association set up in the group to that point are all jumbled! If they were going in reverse introductory order, it would be:

Bossuet-Joly-Courfeyrac-Feuilly-Combeferrewhich would also keep together the associated groups (the Bini, the Funeral Foursome). Why  jumble them up like that? With seriously ANY OTHER BOOK I'd assume it was just not that important! But it's Les Mis, and it's *the barricade*, one of the most vital sequences in the whole darn book (seriously  I got NO time for the idea that the barricade is unimportant in this book, it is the response to Waterloo, it is INCREDIBLY important); Ihave a hard time believing ANYTHING here is throwaway.

So I'm guessing it's another indicator of the synthesis going on at the barricade, that even the minor divisions of the central group have been erased; but that's just me blue-skying. What do you think?

Yaaaaaay today I wrote two more connecting scenes and now I'm writing the third and the third is turning out to be a lot of thing I just slipped, but now I'm up to 40 pages, which is wauw I've never done that, and I'm working out the little kinks of the story, it's fun.
