It’s been a hot minute since I came into your blog with a question but I’m just wondering….
What’s your opinion on Brianna Knickerbocker? (She did Sakura, Charlotte, Ninian and Est)
Ok I will say this: I LIKE Brianna, but I have really only liked one of her roles, and that's Charlotte. I do love Sakura and I think her voice is perfect, but her performance as Charlotte is easily the best and funniest role she's done. Additionally, she plays F!Akira Howard in Astral Chain and while I like Brianna, gosh DAMN do I hate Akira.
So performance-wise, she does fantastic. Sakura and Ninian are shy, reserved, and quiet (and Sakura is timid), while Est and Charlotte are both bubbly in different ways. And like I said, her role as Charlotte is just too perfect. I love the little valley-girl dialect she kind of adds to Charlotte in some of her lines. Easily she's never had a bad performance with any of those characters.
I think she absolutely fits all of them, too. I can't imagine anyone else who could play Charlotte and Est.
Range is... not huge? But again, Brianna's one of those actresses who relies on tone rather than actually changing her voice, so it's not a huge thing for me.
I'd say Brianna's an 8/10. And I really hope we get another Charlotte alt soon.

I'm about 20% sure that Fu Xuan is voiced in English by Brianna Knickerbocker. This is not very certain, but I do think it sounds like her.
(other videogame roles I know Knickerbocker has done include Narmaya [Granblue], Sakura [FE Fates], or Hu Tao [Genshin].)
(EDIT: was wrong btw)

BRO IS THAT FUCKING ELAINE'S VA?!
THERE'S NO FUCKING WAY FLAMIE'S EN VA IS BRIANNA KNICKERBOCKER!
THAT'S FREAKING ELAINE FROM SEVEN DEADLY SINS EN VA!
I LOVE THIS VOICE ACTOR!
(random not on topic thing below the cut)
While I was looking up if this was, in fact, Elaine's va, I came across something showing she also played several supporting characters in Demon Slayer, so I was checking the list and it 1. Didn't have Inosuke on it, and 2. Had Zenitsu as a supporting character.
I was so confused, so I used a different site cause I didn't trust that one.
It also had Muzan as a background character.... so....

BEHOLD, MORE ENA OCS
I was rewatching the Dream BBQ announcement trailer when I noticed one of the spinning ENAs had the exact same colors as ThEna, just swapped, so I got the idea of making ENA OCs based on the other ENAs seen.
Here are my first three, the spooky siblings (based on color scheme), Enette, Enalise, and RegEna (left to right). I created GEna to complete the trifecta lol
Individuals + their "serial numbers"
Extra Info:
This group of sibs work with the ENA seen in Dream BBQ, under Froggy. They're pretty much the closest things she has to friends in her workplace, and they enjoy her company (GEna doesn't show it much tho)
Enatte (ENA-8532-01):
Orange - Efficient; the oldest ENA of any batch is expected to excel and be an example for their sibs, but this was driven into 01 more, as her batch was the first completely functional trio of ENAs that were created for a while. Unlike her sisters, 01 fully enjoys her job, even respecting Froggy a great amount. Her voice headcannon is Ben Balmaceda (specifically Kaveh from Genshin Impact, mostly just Ben himself).
Saffron - Mischievous; after years of conditioning to be a golden example for all Worker ENAs, her desires to be free and do what she enjoys culminated in her troublemaker side, which 01 does a good job repressing until she's off from work. The most important thing her siblings know about this side is that she usually goes along with what shenanigans they do. Her voice headcannon is Brianna Knickerbocker (specifically Hu Tao from Genshin Impact).
RegEna [GEna] (ENA-8532-02)
Purple - Haughty; she loves her older sister, she really does. But 02 hates how seriously she expects them to take this stupid job. Before they matured, 02 was known for her mean streak, often taking out her frustrations of the world on younger ENAs that were unfortunate to come her way. It wasn't until she accidentally hurt her younger sister that she started calming down. Now, she just a normal asshole. Her voice headcannon is Ryan Sean O’Donohue (specifically Demyx from Kingdom Hearts).
Orange - Guilty; when the sibs were assigned to work under Froggy, 02's siblings noticed that her other side became more downcast and self-deprecating, bursting into tears and continually apologizing for how she acts when her dominant side is in control, especially to 03. The youngest ENA in question does not know how to feel about this. Her voice headcannon is Erica Mendez (specifically White Lily Cookie from Cookie Run: Kingdom).
Enalise [Lisa] (ENA-8532-03)
Saffron - Thoughtful; unlike her older sisters, who either love or detest their job, 03 usually doesn't pay any mind to it, and does an average job. She actually is drawn to the oddness of the world around her, what secrets they hold, why things work like they do. She can't help but feel envious of Scholar ENAs since they have the access and knowledge 03 so desperately wants. Her voice headcannon is Khoi Dao (specifically Albedo from Genshin Impact).
Purple - Judgemental; experiencing 02's behavior before their full maturity shaped 03's annoyance into a need to reprimand everything she does and to communicate what 02's problem is in her own way, thus her snappy, but kind of well-meaning side. 03 is less shameful of this side than others think she should be, as the youngest ENA believes that "she was made the way she was, and she's going to let what emotions slip through happen." Her voice headcannon is Brittney Karbowski (specifically Mio from Ghost Stories Dub).
Next is Enaline, based on the ENA in the second picture on the right!
Alt. Outfit + her old Worker look
Extra Info:
Created as a Worker ENA, Enaline would become a Runaway after her other sibs went "missing under mysterious circumstances" and she "saw something she shouldn't have", as she puts it. Not much is known about her past other than this, as she soon becomes unresponsive after giving up too much information. She's mostly seen hanging out in the Karaoke Bar AthEna (ThEna) works at, and is very social, depending on which side is dominant.
Enaline (ENA-7450-03)
Sky Blue - Carefree; after experiencing The Horrors™, Enaline decides that she won't let her past and regrets tie her down, so she up and leaves the Sector she grew up in and ended up settling in the area overseen by The Clown. She is very jovial in this state, being more of an 'act first think about the consequences later' kind of ENA. Her voice headcannon is Kieran Regan (specifically Shikanoin Heizou from Genshin Impact).
Salmon - Existential; despite her attempts, Enaline can never fully leave behind the cause of her upturned life, and when she thinks about that, she becomes unpleasant (at least that's what she thinks). The former Worker feels a constant dread tugging at her in this state, something she can't remedy no matter what she does. All Enaline can do is not think about all of that while she's Carefree, and everything will be fine! Her voice headcannon is Monica Rial (specifically Momoko Koigakubo from Ghost Stories Dub).

Appearance
Ishida is a slender and curvaceous teenage girl with medium hair tied up into down pigtails, black haired and magenta color in her front bangs, deep blue eyes, thick and long eyelashes, and a pale skin.
She is usually seen in her school uniform: a purple shirt, a black tie, a grey blazer, and a short skirt with long black socks.
Personality
Ishida is a shy and softhearted girl who struggles with socializing, especially with people her age. Despite her kind and caring nature, her quiet demeanor and lack of confidence make it difficult for her to form many friendships, leaving her with just a small circle of close friends. Ishida is incredibly naive, which makes her vulnerable to manipulation and often leads others to take advantage of her. She harbors deep insecurities, frequently comparing herself to her older brother. These feelings of self-doubt stem from a childhood trauma that continues to shape her sense of self-worth.
She was raised to be an elegant, charming, and well-mannered young woman, with a refined demeanor that reflects her upbringing. Though basketball was never her passion, her interest grew after Akashi invited her to become the team coach assistant during their days at Teikō. Thanks to Akashi's influence, she developed a genuine love for the sport. However, her father disapproved of her involvement in such an activity, insisting that she follow his strict rules. Despite this, she longed to play and finally got the chance upon returning to Japan. Although she knew little about the game, Hayama helped her learn the basics, sparking her enjoyment and deepening her connection to basketball.
As the youngest child in a prominent family, she faced immense pressure to excel academically from an early age. Too young to handle such expectations, she constantly stressed herself to make her father proud, yet he never seemed to notice the heavy burden she carried. This pressure left her emotionally stifled, struggling to express her feelings as a child. However, everything changed when she met Akashi. He became her first friend, and through their connection, she began to experience emotions she had never felt before—feelings of comfort, understanding, and genuine companionship.
She’s a calm and cheerful girl with a bright personality, rarely getting angry or upset. However, in one unexpected moment, Akashi's stubbornness pushed her to her limit, and in a rare outburst, she accidentally slapped him. The entire team was left in shock and nervous about what might happen next, but fortunately, Akashi didn’t retaliate or harm her. While she’s usually composed, the one thing that can truly irritate her is when someone makes fun of her height.
History
Ishida and Akashi have shared a close bond since childhood. They first met at a party for wealthy families when they were both seven years old. Akashi noticed Ishida standing alone, not interacting with the other children, so he approached her and they quickly became friends. Although they rarely saw each other due to attending different schools and living far apart, they maintained their connection, especially once they both attended Teikō. Ishida was by Akashi’s side during his more genuine, original self, and her circle of friends remained small throughout elementary and middle school. Over time, she grew close to Momoi, whose cheerful and friendly nature brought them together. She also developed a strong friendship with Kise, with both Momoi and Kise encouraging Ishida to smile and open up more often.
Ishida served as the assistant coach for Teikō before leaving Japan to live with her family in France. Despite the distance, her feelings of attachment lingered. She found herself a bit jealous when two girls with Momoi talked excitedly about Aomine's stellar performance in a recent game when she saw the two girls fawning over Akashi after he helped one of them when they almost dropped what they were carrying. Ishida had always admired Akashi for his refined and composed personality, but she didn’t realize that her admiration had grown into genuine feelings for him. Though many her age were drawn to her beauty, bright personality, and caring nature, Ishida remained unaware of the attention she received. Once, she faced an unsettling situation when she was harassed, but Midorima stepped in and saved her. A year later, she returned to Japan for high school, enrolling at Rakuzan. Little did she know, her reunion with Akashi was just around the corner, setting the stage for an unexpected continuation of their bond.
Story Introduction
Ayane Ishida is a first-year student at Rakuzan High, known for her intelligence and refined demeanor. She consistently ranks as the second top student at her school, holding the top spot when she and Akashi are not in the same institution. Before returning to Japan, she was the assistant coach at Teikō and later lived in France. Now, upon her return, she has taken on the role of manager for Rakuzan High's basketball team.
She was raised in a wealthy Japanese family, where strict expectations shaped much of her early life. From a young age, she felt immense pressure to excel academically, driven by her father’s rigid standards and the desire to avoid disappointing him and other relatives. This demanding environment, combined with her family's longstanding traditions of discipline, made her childhood stressful despite their financial affluence. Her older brother played a crucial role in her life, acting as the supportive and caring father figure she needed. In contrast, her mother, though loving and supportive, was often absent due to a chronic illness that required frequent hospital visits, leaving her unable to be by Ayane’s side daily. Ayane's background is a blend of cultures; her mother is French, and her father is Japanese, contributing to her half-Asian, half-European heritage. Despite their wealth and a prestigious family background, Ayane's childhood was marked by emotional challenges. She developed insecurities, particularly in comparison to her brother, reflecting the pressures and expectations she faced growing up.
Ishida became the assistant coach of Teikō due to Akashi’s invitation, even though she hadn't originally planned to take on that role. Feeling unable to refuse such a significant offer, she accepted and excelled in her position, finding fulfillment in her work. However, after a month, she decided to resign to move to France and be with her family. A year later, she returned to Japan for high school, leading to a heartfelt reunion with Akashi.
Her first appearance when she walks past Kagami following his second interaction with Akashi. Kuroko, observing from a distance, is momentarily surprised to see her and questions whether it was truly Ishida. During the game between Rakuzan and Shutoku, Ishida is seen sitting on the bench, closely analyzing the opponents' movements. Kuroko, along with his teammates and the crowd, notices her focused attention.
Skills
TRAINING CAPABILITY: 8/10
LEADERSHIP: 5/10
ORGANIZATIONS: 10/10
ANALYTICAL SKILLS: 10/10
RECORD KEEPING: 10/10
CHARISMA: 10/10
Ishida has been learning about a basketball since Junior High school. Because of this, she has a lot of experience with basketball. As the manager, she is negotiating player contracts and ensuring the team stays within salary cap constraints, implementing development programs to enhance players' skills, and working closely with the coaching staff.
Relationship
[Seijuro Akashi]
Since middle childhood, Akashi and Ishida have shared a close bond. During their time at Teikō, she mostly interacted with Akashi, as he was the only one who initially reached out to her. Being timid and anxious around the other team members, Ishida gradually became more comfortable with them over time. Akashi's kindness and care helped her develop a genuine friendship with him, and she eventually realized she had developed a subtle crush on him, though she wasn't fully aware of her feelings at the time. Their close proximity, due to her role in delivering data to him, meant they were often together. As she prepared to leave Japan, Akashi also developed feelings for her but tried to suppress them, believing they might distract him from his goals. However, the more he tried to ignore his feelings, the stronger they became. After moving to France, Ishida recognized her feelings for Akashi and regretted not expressing them before leaving. She thought they might never see each other again, but fate brought her back to Japan, rekindling their connection.
In the present day, Akashi's alternate self has developed a small crush on Ishida but refrains from pursuing anything, maintaining a serious and stoic demeanor. Their interactions are occasionally marked by arguments, with Ishida often expressing her longing for Akashi's original, more caring self, which sometimes brings her to tears. During a pivotal moment in a game, when Akashi's original self returns and confesses that he misses her, Ishida blushes slightly and struggles to contain her joy at his return.
[Satsuki Momoi]
Ishida and Momoi have been close friends since their time at Teikō Junior High. Momoi, with her cheerful disposition, quickly bonded with Ishida when she became the assistant coach for the basketball team. She made a concerted effort to make Ishida feel at ease and comfortable, noticing that Ishida rarely smiled. Over time, Momoi's kindness and friendship helped Ishida open up, and she began to smile softly in Momoi's presence. Momoi often playfully teased Ishida about her compatibility with Akashi, which embarrassed Ishida. She affectionately calls Ishida "Ayane-chan." When Ishida returned to Japan, their reunion at a hot spring was a delightful surprise for both of them. Momoi, thrilled to see her friend again, embraced her warmly. Whenever they meet, Momoi greets Ishida with enthusiastic hugs, much like how she interacts with Kuroko.
[Rakuzan]
Ishida and Hayama quickly became good friends. Hayama was eager to befriend Ishida from the moment Akashi introduced her as their manager. He helped her learn how to play basketball, and their shared time together strengthened their bond. Hayama also enjoyed teasing Ishida about her relationship with Akashi, even initially assuming they were a couple when they first met.
Ishida has a warm and supportive relationship with Mibuchi. Whenever she needs to complain or vent about Akashi, she turns to Mibuchi, who listens and provides comfort. Mibuchi likes to tease Akashi by suggesting that he might have feelings for Ishida or that they could become a couple in the future, which both irritates and entertains Akashi. He affectionately refers to Ishida as "Nene-chan."
Ishida and Nebuya don't share a particularly close relationship. Ishida is notably bothered by Nebuya's habit of burping loudly after meals, which she finds disruptive and inconsiderate, especially in social settings. Her frustration with this behavior leads her to frequently address it, often taking on a disciplinary role to remind Nebuya of the importance of proper etiquette. Despite this, their interactions remain polite but distant, with Ishida's focus primarily on encouraging more respectful behavior.
Ishida finds Mayuzumi to be a very mysterious figure, often intrigued by his enigmatic aura. Despite his seemingly aloof demeanor, Mayuzumi has a kind side that becomes evident in moments of need. When Ishida and Akashi have arguments, Mayuzumi steps in with unexpected comfort and support. His calm presence and insightful words help soothe Ishida during her distress, offering her a rare sense of reassurance amidst her emotional struggles.
[Akane Minagiri (oc)]
Ishida’s first encounter with Minagiri was far from friendly and stemmed from a series of misunderstandings. Minagiri initially perceived Ishida with hostility because she mistakenly believed that Ishida and Akashi were romantically involved. This assumption was based on their close relationship, which was unusual for Akashi, who had never been this intimate with a girl before. Minagiri's negative feelings towards Akashi, stemming from her resentment over his changes and the way he distanced himself from their past, colored her perception of Ishida. She projected her own issues onto Ishida, assuming that, like Akashi, Ishida might share some of his undesirable traits. This led to an immediate and unfounded animosity towards Ishida, setting the tone for their strained initial interaction.
After Rakuzan’s defeat by Seiren, Ishida and Minagiri's relationship underwent a significant transformation. Initially, Minagiri’s hostile attitude towards Ishida was influenced by her misconceptions about Ishida’s relationship with Akashi and her own frustrations with Akashi’s changes. However, the aftermath of the game provided a chance for Minagiri to see Ishida in a new light. Minagiri began to notice the stark contrast between Ishida’s innocent and pure nature and her own previous assumptions. She observed Ishida’s genuine kindness and sincerity, qualities that differed greatly from her initial negative impressions. This realization helped Minagiri overcome her prejudices and opened the door to a deeper understanding of Ishida. As time passed, Minagiri and Ishida's interactions became more positive and supportive. They found common ground and grew closer, developing a strong friendship. Their bond strengthened as they shared experiences and supported each other, leading to a deep and meaningful connection by the end.
[Generation of Miracles]
Ishida and Kise developed a good rapport, largely due to Kise's bubbly and approachable personality, which naturally complemented Ishida’s more reserved nature. Their friendship was further strengthened by Kise’s close relationship with Momoi, who also got along well with Ishida. This shared connection created a comfortable and friendly environment for Ishida and Kise to interact. Kise enjoyed teasing Ishida about her relationship with Akashi, a playful dynamic that became a regular part of their interactions. Despite the teasing, Ishida appreciated Kise’s light-hearted approach, which often brought a smile to her face. Kise affectionately calls Ishida “Ishidachii,” a nickname that reflects his endearing and friendly manner. Over time, their bond grew stronger, with Kise's lively personality helping to draw Ishida out of her shell and adding a joyful dimension to their friendship.
Midorima played a big-brother role in Ishida's life, offering guidance and support beyond just basketball. He often took it upon himself to teach her lessons, even if she already knew the material, driven by his desire to ensure she had a solid understanding. This mentoring approach was appreciated by Ishida, who valued his attention and care. However, there were moments when Midorima's attempts to teach would backfire, especially if he made errors in his explanations. When this happened, Ishida would gently correct him, which sometimes made Midorima feel awkward or embarrassed. As someone who prided himself on his knowledge and precision, it was humbling for him to be corrected by Ishida, who he saw as someone he should be guiding, not the other way around. Despite these occasional moments of role reversal, their interactions were marked by a genuine bond of mutual respect and affection, with Midorima’s protective instincts and Ishida’s growing confidence strengthening their relationship.
Ishida has a thoughtful relationship with Murasakibara, understanding his fondness for snacks. During training or practice sessions, she often brings him treats, a gesture that makes him happy, even if he doesn’t always show it outwardly. Her kindness in providing snacks is a small but appreciated gesture that reflects her attentiveness to his likes and needs. Murasakibara initially intended to nickname Ishida "Shida-chinn," but he found it too similar to Kise's nickname for her. To avoid confusion and add a personal touch, he decided on "Aya-chinn" instead. This nickname, though less common, conveys a sense of familiarity and affection, highlighting the unique rapport they share. Despite his usual aloof demeanor, Murasakibara values Ishida’s thoughtful gestures and the comfort they bring him, even if he doesn’t always express his gratitude directly.
Ishida and Aomine’s relationship is somewhat strained. When Ishida was introduced as the coach assistant at Teikō, Aomine made an inappropriate comment about her appearance, specifically remarking on her chest, which made Ishida feel very uncomfortable. This comment was not only distressing for Ishida but also infuriated Momoi and Akashi, who were protective of her and disapproved of Aomine’s behavior. Despite this discomfort and the awkwardness it created, Ishida maintains a level of respect for Aomine. She understands his talent and value within the team, even if his actions at that time were unsettling for her. While their interactions are limited and marked by a certain distance, Ishida continues to respect Aomine for his skills and contributions, navigating their relationship with a sense of professionalism and dignity.
When Ishida and Kuroko first met, she was startled by his almost ghost-like presence, which was unexpected and initially unsettling for her. Kuroko's ability to blend into the background and his quiet demeanor made her uneasy at first. However, as she got to know him better, she gradually became accustomed to his unique presence and began to appreciate his quiet strength. Over time, Ishida came to admire Kuroko for his deep passion for basketball and his dedication to the sport, despite his understated approach. She respected his commitment and the way he worked behind the scenes to support his team. Their shared interest in basketball, coupled with Kuroko's gentle nature, allowed them to form a genuine friendship. Ishida found comfort in Kuroko’s company and enjoyed spending time with him, whether it was discussing basketball or simply hanging out. Their friendship grew as they connected over their mutual interests, with Kuroko’s calm demeanor offering a soothing contrast to her own anxieties.
Romantic Relationship
[Seijuro Akashi]
“Our memories still clung into my mind but do you still remember our memories?”
Ishida and Akashi’s feelings for each other have been developing for a long time, though their awareness of these feelings evolved differently. Akashi was the first to fall in love with Ishida, though he didn't recognize his feelings for her until much later. From a young age, he had a deep affection for her, but it wasn’t until he started to change that he became oblivious to his own emotions, sending mixed signals without understanding his true feelings. For Ishida, the realization of her love came after she left Japan. While living in France, she came to understand that her feelings for Akashi were deeper than mere friendship. The distance and separation allowed her to reflect on her emotions, leading her to the realization that she had been in love with him all along. When Akashi underwent his transformation, he struggled to acknowledge his feelings amidst his changes, often giving Ishida confusing signals. This lack of clarity from Akashi further complicated their relationship, but underneath the confusion, his affection for Ishida persisted, even if he was not fully aware of it.
In the final episode of the series, a pivotal moment occurs when Ishida is walking down the outside stairs at school. Akashi approaches her, expressing his gratitude for the way she managed his alternate self and for maintaining her composure throughout the ordeal. This heartfelt acknowledgment from Akashi is significant for Ishida, as it takes place at a moment when her feelings for him have deepened considerably. Despite the complex emotions and challenges they have faced, Ishida's love for Akashi is evident in this scene. Her feelings are fully realized and poignant, marked by the way she responds to his gratitude and the sincerity in their interaction. This moment underscores the depth of their connection and the impact they have had on each other's lives, culminating in a resolution that reflects the growth of their relationship.
In the ending of The Last Game, a touching and memorable moment occurs amid the emotional farewell scenes. As Kagami announces his departure from Japan, his teammates and the Generation of Miracles express their gratitude for his role as both a friend and rival. During this poignant scene, Akashi approaches Ishida with a special promise that had been made earlier. Akashi, with a mix of seriousness and affection, kisses Ishida on the forehead—a gesture tied to a playful deal they had made. The promise was that if Akashi won the game, he would be allowed this gesture of affection. Ishida is caught completely off guard by this unexpected act. Her reaction is a mix of embarrassment and surprise; she quickly steps back, visibly flustered and unable to find words. The other characters, equally taken aback by this intimate moment, are left in stunned silence, unsure of how to respond to the unexpected display of affection. This scene marks a significant and tender development in Ishida and Akashi's relationship, highlighting the depth of their feelings in a memorable and emotional conclusion.
After graduation, Akashi finally confessed his love to Ishida, leading to the start of their relationship. Their newfound romance brought a mixture of surprise and acceptance from their families. Ishida's father, initially taken aback by the fact that his daughter was dating the son of Masaomi Akashi, chose not to object. Instead, he supported their relationship, recognizing the genuine affection between them. Similarly, Akashi’s father, who had his own expectations and concerns, accepted their relationship with understanding. This mutual approval from both families marked a significant step in their relationship, allowing Akashi and Ishida to move forward together as a couple, supported by their loved ones.

Trivia
Ishida wears a necklace with a turquoise stone pendant, a thoughtful gift from Akashi on her birthday. Turquoise, which is associated with December, is Akashi's birthstone, reflecting his birth month. Instead of choosing Ishida's birthstone, Akashi selected his own, symbolizing a personal connection between them. This choice represents not just a gift, but also the deep bond they share, with Akashi's gesture highlighting his affection and the significance of their relationship.
Ishida’s hairstyle is designed to cover her chubby cheeks, which she feels self-conscious about. Initially, she kept her hair tied up to mask this feature. However, when she tried wearing her hair down, Akashi (in his original self) complimented her, saying she looked better with her hair down. His praise boosted Ishida’s confidence and encouraged her to embrace her natural look. This moment not only increased her self-esteem but also symbolized her growing comfort with her appearance and her evolving relationship with Akashi.
When she got older she let her hair go longer, this is because Ishida's mother loved her long hair but she decided to cut it short because of her illness. When her mother saw Ishida's long hair she was happy that it reminded Ishida's long hair of her.
Ishida has male pet cat named Lassizz. This cat is real and its owner is the author. Sadly, this cat in real life died due to an accident, the author did this on purpose adding the cat as Ishida's pet to honor its death.
First design of character:
Originally, Ishida's design featured dark purple eyes, a much taller stature, and a personality marked by self-confidence and bolder. This initial concept envisioned her as a more assertive and bold character, embodying traits of strength and self-assuredness. Her blazer of her uniform was supposed to be open and having a ribbon instead of a tie.
The relationship between Ishida and Akashi was intended to start as antagonistic rather than friendly. In this initial concept, their interactions would have been marked by conflict and rivalry, setting a different tone for their dynamic. This shift in their relationship would have added complexity to their development, contrasting with the eventual close bond and affection that characterizes their current connection.
In the original story, Ishida was not intended to be a manager. Instead, her character was designed to pretend to be male in order to join the basketball club. This deception would have led to her being discovered and subsequently disqualified from both the team and the club. This plot twist would have introduced an additional layer of conflict and complexity to her character’s journey, contrasting with her eventual role as a manager and her supportive, behind-the-scenes presence.

This decision marked a significant moment of assertiveness for Ishida, reflecting her desire for authenticity and personal happiness in her relationships.
When Ishida learned that she was expected to marry Russell by the age of 20, she feared that she might never have the chance to confess her feelings to Akashi. Determined to be true to her emotions, she persuaded her father to allow her to return to Japan. Her plan was to confess her love to Akashi and, if he did not reciprocate, agree to proceed with the marriage to Russell. If Akashi’s feelings were mutual, she would choose to stay with him instead. It took several days of convincing for her father to agree to her request. Ishida’s decision to take this significant step was driven by her deep affection for Akashi and her desire to make choices based on her own feelings rather than societal expectations.
