Ways to protect yourself from a #BrianMatzen scam: 1) If someone reaches out to you unsolicited, trying to sell you comics for well below market value, be suspicious. 2) Look at their profile. If all of their photos are from the last couple weeks, and none of the pictures have consistent lighting, background, etc, be suspicious. 3) Ask for additional photos, and demand that they include a slip of paper with your name and the date on them. 4) Search active and sold eBay listings for the comic he’s selling. Also search the CGC forums, heritage, comiclink, and other major sale sites. 5) Always...ALWAYS use Goods and Services payments with sellers you aren’t familiar with. Don’t use Venmo, CashApp, Friends and Family, Walmart to Walmart, Moneygram, homing pigeon, etc. 6) Avoid paypal accounts with emails ending in @proton mail.com 7) If you aren’t sure, DM me with their information.
