Hey there, fans of They Might Be Giants!

Do any of you remember when the band, They Might Be Giants, visited the Edison Museum in New Jersey on April 27, 1996?

Remember when They used a wax cylinder, which was an early type of recording device, to record some songs?

Well I sure... don't...

Yeah, I wasn't born yet. Sorry...

But yeah, it was just a little experiment to test out old technology with the band, They Might Be Giants', music. And where better to do it than in the house of the guy who invented it?

i'm not saying you can only write what you know, but i spent the majority of my teen years writing my chemical romance RPF, from the point of view of a vampire-obsessed, genderbent, ex-catholic, dungeons and dragons nerd, living in a dim and fuggy basement in the early 2000s, whose inner turmoil and particular branch of white suburban depression was near autobiographic for me in my late teen phase of nihilistic remonstration against mainstream cheeriness. not even the cultural challenge of trying to write like a grotty kid from new jersey as an english teen from the home counties could create a rift big enough to separate me from the instinctive, intrinsic understanding of gerard way's millenial disillusionment and weird-kid, outsider status.

what i'm saying is, the point of difference between me and band guy gerard way was like. spiritually and emotionally fractional.
