Association Hablamos Español [We speak Spanish], chaired by Gloria Lago, continues its work to achieve freedom of choice of language in schools in autonomous communities with two official languages. Their struggle is to prevent attempts by nationalist and secessionist parties to "corner the Spanish language".

In a communiqué they call for a demonstration next Saturday, June 3rd in Gasteiz: "Because Spanish-speaking students deserve respect to study in their mother tongue, we will gather in Vitoria on Saturday, June 3, to protest against the new educational law that the Basque Government plans to approve and against the growing linguistic imposition in Navarre".
