Breakfasttale Asriel:

Introduction: A cinnamon roll for the poor dead goat. The reason why he's based off of a cinnamon roll is mainly because of his parents being butterscotch and cinnamon based; with this, he takes after Toriel. Now Asriel's design is another one of my favorites, the stripes on his shirt, shins, and ears resemble the cinnamon swirl of the bun. Along with this there is frosting caked on his forearms, shoulders, nose, and top of his head.

Routes: On the genocide route, he isn't there technically speaking, though Flowey does have a face resembling Asriel's when he asks you not to kill him, so if that counts then that's all we see of him during the route. On the pacifist route, Asriel first appears when Flowey absorbs every single soul in the underground and turns into 'The Absolute God of Hyperdeath: Asriel Dreemurr,' then challenges Frisk to battle. This is the very last boss of the true pacifist route, where Frisk must free the souls of their friends by reminding them of who they are while dodging attacks from Asriel. After the battle and Frisk defeats the 'Absolute God of Hyperdeath,' he turns back to his kid self, going on a monologue of love and friendship and actually asking Frisk for their name. This scene goes on and ends in Asriel breaking the barrier using the strength he had left with the power of the souls he absorbed then freed, and Frisk hugging him goodbye.

Wrap up: Asriel Dreemurr, a lost little flower who just wanted his sibling back. The ending of the true pacifist route does make me tear up sometimes.

BreakfastTale: a (crack) UnderTale AU

A friend of mine from highschool helped me come up with this, and I found the sketches, which I plan to digitize, so... The characters are being named/designed after breakfast foods sans: sausage Papyrus: biscuit Gaster: gravy Napstablook: milk Mettaton: cinnamon roll Toriel: muffin Asgore: ham Frisk: sunny-side up egg Chara: hardboiled egg Undyne: poptarts Alphys: pancakes Grillby: bacon Asriel: (not sure) Flowey: oatmeal Muffet: donuts (Reminder that this is a crack au, it was just for shits and giggles)

Breakfasttale Chara:

Introduction: Chara the human, adopted by the royal family of monsters, and died at a tragically young age. Although Chara in this au presents a bit more feminine, they are still considered nonbinary here; I urge everyone to be reminded of that fact when referring to them. Although Chara is human and not effected by the breakfast-y magical aura of the barrier, they still felt the need to fit in with their family a bit more by using their clothing to resemble some breakfast. They had especially been known to wear a skirt that resembled a chocolate banana filled crêpe.

Routes: On the genocide route, classically, Chara only shows up at the very end, after you make Frisk kill Flowey. Chara then goes on a monologue explaining how Frisk's power of determination had woken Chara up from a purgatory of sorts, and asks you to Erase the world, or Do Not. Either way, it ends with seeing Chara's 'scary face' and the world being erased. On the pacifist route, still, the only way we get to learn about Chara's existence is through Alphys's secret lab, where Frisk finds an off room with a bunch of home tapes of the Dreemurr family. This is where we learned that Asriel and Chara had mistakenly put a bunch of raw egg flowers in a 'pie' and had gotten their father Asgore really sick, but he pulled through. Then Chara comes up with an idea to eat a bunch of raw egg flowers and get themself very sick. This obviously doesn't end well, though maybe that's what they had planned for; as Chara ends up dying.

Wrap up: There we have our tragic little backstory. I'm so gonna toot my own horn and say I love how Chara's hair looks.
