So I tried making bread this week, because why not and I recently found out how simple bread is from this post by Snappydoodle and thought 'how hard could it be? The idea is there.'

I've made bread on a handful of occasions. All of them could be eaten, just not for much nutrients. Hard as a rock, and tasted like one as well.

So I'm in the process of the dough rising. Here's what it looks like:

I know your first thought was "ITS PINK!" (Milage may vary.) If you don't see a pink blob in a bowl, go get checked for colorblindness. But yes folks, I made it using gatorade! Specifically red gatorade. Cause why not? I'll keep yall up to date on the Gatorade bread testing.

personally, i only found one recipe in here to try out, but i loved the general tips on cooking to achieve particular colors, tastes, or textures. there’s worksheets for figuring out your aversions that can also be used as communication aids for nonverbal ppl.

recipes all have their colors, tastes, and textures labeled right up top, so you know if it suits your needs right away. the author is autistic and has an extremely nonjudgmental way of writing about picky eating.

Just to be clear, your logic is flawless. Only thing for me is that I'd switch noodles and rice. I honestly don't have noodles too often, so although I like many noodle dishes, it just isn't a realistic choice for me

Rice on the other hand, I have fairly commonly. The thing is, one of my favorite types of meals is [rice + brownish sauce]. Think Butter Chicken, Chili Con Carne, Katsu Curry, etc. For me they're easy to make and really satisfying, I really cannot be giving that up

And of course bread because it's absolutely goated and so damn diverse compared to the other 2. You cannot get me to give up the greatness that is Sourdough, Tashnift, Garlic Bread, etc.

The thing I find interesting about this is that my best friend (who is Indonesian) would have bread dead last (rarely has it), with probably noodles as second place and rice 100% as the best (he has it for like every meal). Ig it really just depends on how you've grown up 🤔

"bread" = just a word "bread!" = high energy with no strong feelings about bread "bread." = low energy with no strong feelings about bread "bread 👍" = low energy but clearly supportive of bread "bread 👎" = low energy but clearly not supportive of bread
