I'll be honest, if I was genuinely casting a Succession musical as a real casting director, I would look for a more unknown performer to play Shiv, because I firmly believe that Shiv Roy should be an alto part, heavy in the lower range (like basically a tenor). Shiv's plot revolves around trying to push past her gender to be taken seriously, and I think having her being an alto who stays in her lower register would really highlight how hard she's trying to be taken seriously. That said, I would not at all be disappointed to have Eden Espinoza in the part. She's insanely talented, and I would love to see her interpretation of Shiv.

Connor Roy: Josh Groban

oh my god, oh my god. this has taken me forever to answer and i am- so sorry but . i’m about to go on a whole tangent because i love them so.

the whole idea is that i’ve created this agency whose been doing things to try and take over the world. they start small with kidnapping and rangers is probably the second biggest thing they’ve ever done. it’s supposed to be this super villainous plot but ends up failing.

they take these 5 kids who are all about 14- from earth. one day these kids are there and the next when their parents or family get up- they are gone.

this includes the following -

tj barton - the son of clint barton and avril silva - another oc of mine who you already know. his fc is brandon flynn. tj is the red ranger

cinder - she’s actually an alien princess from another planet and she’s originally a guardians of but she ends up on the earth and gets kidnapped. her fc is alisha boe. her and tj are love interests. cinder is the pink ranger

destiny carter - she’s a random teenager from brooklyn. she’s also a lesbian icon. and the yellow ranger. her fc is ginny gardner.

eddie sato - he’s the black ranger , he’s - it’s complicated . he kinda - has disappeared like 5 times - he’s a rich kid. he got kidnapped a lot because of his parents and it was always for a ransom. he’s not very lucky. his fc is ryan potter!

evan max - the blue ranger. probably the most stable of the bunch actually. he’s a pansexual icon , we love him. his fc is jonathan daviss .

there’s also this woman whose kidnapped like 10 years before them because this is the second time the experiment has happened. her name is zero- and her fc is nadia hilker, she’s also a “purple ranger” everyone else from her experiment is dead and the agency thinks she’s dead because she removed her tracker.

now zero has a little bit of a different experiment. hers was centered around the agency trying to build a team that would destroy earth . when that failed the team died except for zero.

so while the rangers are trying to survive - zero is following them. watching them and the team is working and trying to trust each other despite not really getting along. one day zero tricks them and while they’re looking for food they end up getting stuck in a cave. zero’s cave.

they try to get out but then zero steps up. and when zero steps up . she explains to them everything. the experiment- her experiment. her team - everything. and she ends up- presenting them with stones. these stones are what her team was gifted with - that transformed them into the rangers. it gave them abilities and suits and zero has messed with them to keep them out of control of the agency. they would help them fight the agency instead of work for them like they were originally made for.

the story of the rangers centers around this. it centers around them fighting , trying to get home . trying to get their memories back. while forming into this team. time also works different on this planet so 2 years for the rangers is 4 for earth.

once they do get back on earth? they have to figure out what their place in the world is. how they can still function as a team. how to live in this world when for years they believed their only purpose was to survive. now they have to learn how to live.
