Elon Musk hands out $1 million payments after Wisconsin Supreme Court declines request to stop him

Elon Musk distributed $1 million checks on Sunday to two Wisconsin voters, naming them as spokespeople for his political group ahead of a pivotal Wisconsin Supreme Court election. The tech billionaire framed the race as crucial to President Donald Trump’s agenda and “the future of civilization.”

“This is a huge deal,” Musk told a crowd of approximately 2,000 in Green Bay on Sunday night while wearing a yellow cheesehead hat. “I’m not just calling this in—I’m here in person.”

Musk and affiliated groups have poured over $20 million into supporting conservative candidate Brad Schimel in Tuesday’s election, which will shape the ideological balance of a court poised to rule on major issues in the key battleground state. Meanwhile, liberal candidate Susan Crawford and her allies have pushed back, protesting Musk’s involvement and the influence they argue he seeks over the court.
