i genuinely don't think bradley was ever homophobic. i'm sure that he is rather confused and has no idea about terminology (considering the timeline). he has queer friends and he's that guy that'll be asking you 'how about that one?' pointing at a random person at a bar or college cafeteria.

all said before, he is extremely oblivious about being gay. like it never really occured to him that it's not normal to kiss girls just because he thinks it's right for him. he doesn't feel anything, no heart fluttering, no butterflies and no pleasure. mere indifference.

that's why he's so off put by max. that guy just makes something inside him burst, fireworks causing his heart to ache and his hands to tingle with a strange need to touch him. it changes bradley's life upsidedown, so that's why he is acting like that at first (there's no actual rivalry, just some unresolved romantic-sexual tension).

he spends weeks trying to solve the mess that max left in his soul behind himself and, while he talks about this to his best friends, they look at him like he's an idiot who's missing on something. that's when they suggest that all what bradley had just described, sounds as if he has a huge motherfucking crush on max.

that's when it all clicks and for the next week or so bradley is peculiarly quiet and distant, digesting the new piece of information about himself.

I think we can all agree that Bradley is like an INCREDIBLY sheltered Nepo baby slob. Like not sheltered in like the “struggle” type way— but sheltered in the way that bro hasn’t seen SHIT. So I’ve taken it upon myself to Bradley & Max hc dump.

Max has definitely taken Bradley to a cultural party at least once for (unspecified) reasons—- and Bradley either A.) Tried all the food there or B.) Brought a fucking plain bagel instead 

Bradley probably— well okay listen. He OBVIOUSLY knows what pride parades are. How could he NOT? However, Tank probably took him to a pride parade once and that was the LAST time ‘cuz too many lesbians (me) probably thought he was a girl (and he can damn well pull it off) and lets face it— he probably liked the lesbians hitting on him a little TOO much 😭

His gaydar is BROKEN. Like EXTINCT. PRE-HISTORIC, even. You’d think with that arch that he’d be sensing the gays from MILES away—- but it’s quite literally the opposite. 

He had his gay awakening like EARLY-early. We all have that one character—- and I REALLY feel like his was probably some mf from Madagascar, like King Julian.
