Pink Venom was pretty bad. It could’ve been decent if the chorus wasn’t what it was. Money and Lalisa, singing is not your strength that’s not a bad thing 😭 Permission to Dance, basic but terrible. Many of NCT songs are just unintelligible to me and whatever’s going on with NMiXx

i agree with all of these!!!! honestly all bp songs after AIIYL are unlistenable to me including the solos lol. and permission to dance sounds like music made for a flop 3d animated children’s movie credits

where tf have all these 2ne1 shooters come from all of a sudden? they're not even fans, they just want to drag the pinks by saying they're a carbon copy of 2ne1. the only song anyone can make that argument for is aiiyl as it's literally an old demo. but i can guarantee these people have only heard i am the best and fire, like you cannot tell me with a straight face that bp would make songs like follow me or can't nobody or clap your hands or crush, bffr 😭

i am not that familiar with 2ne1 but honestly just a quick peek at their discography lets u know the groups’ sounds are actually pretty different - the main similarities are that they’re both ggs with 4 members and confident/girl crush-y/hiphop-ish concepts, but honestly i couldn’t picture 2ne1 doing bp’s songs or viceversa 😭 and like, this isn’t to say yg didn’t mold bp with 2ne1 in mind bcs i think we can all agree in that, but calling bp a carbon copy is just untrue

i thought hylt was okay compared to ktl, but i just hope the album has at least one b-side that we all can go insane to

i personally prefer ktl but i definitely need to give hylt a few more listens and it will probably grow on me but overall it's a rather disappointing title track for me especially since we waited over a year only to get basically the same type of song.. and i also hope the album will have better songs! usually their b-sides are better than their title tracks anyways

I dont hate them? some of their songs were good and I rlly liked them back when they first debuted but its been like 3? years? and they’ve got what? 9 songs? ik a lot of that isn’t their fault necessarily but they’ve got so much talent its frustrating that they don’t get to showcase any of that and that they’ve gotten so much hype bc they’re in yg and not bc they’ve got good music/stage presence/dances. they don’t rlly deserve any of the hype they have which is a pity bc again they’re all talented and they could be rlly good if they were promoted properly and given some music lmao

for bp, i just really don't like their music at all especially post-AIIYL. everything went downhill big time from there, and i don't like any of their solo music either. i might check out more of rose's solo work bc APT was kinda cute but other than that i just have no interest

for 2ne1 its kinda the same story. i just have no interest in them whatsoever. their music is better but i'm just not a fan of yg groups and their concepts.

ig people are a little confused bcs nj's parents are treating this like it is an exclusively soumu issue? i'm not saying soumu shouldn't be held accountable but ig we know kpop well enough to know that if nj trained at any other company they would have most likely experienced the same thing elsewhere. not that that's okay either but i feel like it's fair to make that statement. 99.99999% of kpop idols aren't allowed to talk about trainee life in depth nor do they like talking about it bcs it fucking sucked. we'll hear a small snippet every now and then but for the most part the majority of the info about what it's really like to be a kpop trainee come from those who weren't able to debut and they have told so so so many stories of subpar living and working conditions for these literal teenagers. yes all the complaints that nj's parents are voicing about their daughters experiences are unfortunately the norm for kpop trainees no matter what company they're in and most idols have most likely faced similar situations, however that doesn't mean it's okay or that it's right and something does need to change on an industry-wide scale.

i have several issues with nj's parents atp (they need to keep chaewon and sakura's names out of their mouth for a start) but i'm not sure this is the comment to fight battles over.

also, ik this is not the point of this conversation at all but that tweet saying "yg bp treatment of riches" meanwhile bp also lived in bug infested dorms and trained until the early hours of the morning and were forced to drop out of school, so now what? just purple soldiers being loud and wrong yet again, bringing up bp when LITERALLY NO ONE ASKED 😭😭😭😭 *** is not the only kpop group that has suffered!!! victim card declined!!!

yeah what that nj parent complained is not wrong or false and it should be addressed cause the industry needs to stop normalizing making trainees live in those conditions (especially considering majority of trainees are children), but at the same time the parents are painting it as a soumu only issue, which makes no sense and is clearly just another way for them to say soumu/hybe are bad and guilty. yes they are bad but if every idol who trained in bad accommodations and was uncertain of whether they would debut were to sue their training company, every single company would be sued. again, that does not make it okay, but it’s a bit unfair for them to use it like that when it’s something every idol has gone through

but yeah this is not something to fight about!!! and yeah the bp comment……😭😭 they think their dorms were those apartments they showed during aiiyl fsjsjsj rest assured the pinks weren’t training in luxurious apartments lol (which is so stupid because yg had the money to give them decent places to live ???? these companies just dgaf about trainees)
