Think his face says it all. 😟 Dylan made it all the way to District without his shoulder going out. He was forced to tap out. It was so hard to watch him writhing around in pain. I know he hated to quit! But that shoulder just couldn’t take another hard yank (multiple dislocations). DAY ONE of the #BAWritingLife challenge, by the lovely @authorbethanyatazadeh is to introduce myself and why I write. . For those who don’t already know me, I’m the hot-mess express mom. You know the one who always has coffee in hand and leftover mascara flecks SOMEWHERE on her face…even if she had the luxury of showering that day? 🙋🏻‍♀️ Thats me. In a nutshell…and part of why I write today. . Ever since I was little I’ve always loved to make people laugh and tell stories. It just so happens that when you have children of your own you get *tons* of material to share with the world! 🙌🏼 . My kids and my husband (and life in general) keep me laughing. Our house is loud and full of love, so I always knew that I wanted to write a book about our unique journey to where we are today. Today has been a day and it's only 12:30... Woke up an slide was good. Dropped boy off at school and as I pulled up to the stop sign at the end of the street from his school I felt my mood drastically change and this horrible thought popped into my head. I knew if I went home it would be bad for me so I turned left instead of right. I headed straight to Nick's work. I messaged and called to let him know I needed him, in that moment I just needed his voice to help me block out the thoughts invading my mind. And he was there. He held me while I cried and then in his own I love you way he cracked a joke about touching his butt 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣 I calmed down after talking to him and assured him I was good enough to leave. Then I get a call from Aiden's assistant principal.... Aiden was in her office 🤦🏽‍♀️.... Y'all when I say I am done with today I mean it!! I can't with this kid. But I'm gonna suck it up and put on my strong mommy face and handle this business. The Misadventures of Phoenix! This afternoon he pooped all over my bed, after I had already wash three loads of laundry, I was forced to strip the bed and him and wash everything. While changing his diaper, I had to put his socks on his hands because today was a tough day for him eczema-wise (I had cheese while at my parents house and I am paying for that every day😭) and he was glaring at me the whole time🤣 While we were eating dinner, Lily begged to have some soda with Daddy. Phoenix wanted some as well, apparently. While I was taking a bite of my food, he grabbed Lily’s cup and spilled it all over himself. He screamed 😂😂 Now I have to figure out how to get soda out of my carpet AND WASH MORE LAUNDRY 😤 I am never going to get my house clean. 😬 I’m ready for some sleep.
