I love love love that i received this #Basetape in my Boxycharm premium box. It’s a coconut scented moisturizing primer. I like using this as a final step in my hydration routine and as a transitioning step to my makeup application; which makes the fact that absorption is quick very beneficial. My skin is very dry (medication related) and this is extremely helpful not only in creating a smooth, primed canvas for my makeup application but to ensure my face is well protected, hydrated and not dried out. As with my other #Tarte products i truly enjoy this. Honestly, it made my Boxycharm Premium worth it by far. I recieved this @Toofaced Palms Springs Dream Cocktail Party Palette in my Boxycharm Premium box this month. It’s beautiful and very cute! I love that it’s got a cute clasp on the magnetic closure. The colors and formulas on here are just gorgeous and blend ever so beautifully. I love how elegant and fancy fun the case is too. I recieved this @kvdveganbeauty Lolita Eyeshadow (& Blush) in my @Boxycharm Premium box this month. It’s very cute and a beautiful shade! I could be mistaken but i read that this is also a blush as well. On my info card it only said eyeshadow but it’s a double duty item and i like that. I am throughly let down with @boxycharm this month. They know i have dry skin (i do all of their surveys & quizzes) yet they still sent me this @TulaSkincare Keep it clear acne foam cleanser. I am SO SAD because i want to Tula Skincare but i literally can’t try this bc the salicylic avid will tear my skin up. My heart meds dry my skin out & my dermatologist told me to avoid skin drying products, like this & the pore mask they also sent. I’m SO upset by this! My money is WASTED! . . Not only was i unaware that premium would have variations (at all or this month!) but i was unaware there would even be a possible variation that would be acne products! Had i known, I wouldn’t have even spent my $35! #Boxy KNOWS this, they know i (and many others that this has happened too..) have dry skin. We don’t do your surveys just for fun @boxycharm why don’t you utilize them? Why do you just blame it on randomness? Which is a lie. I tried contacting you and I’ve waited it out civilly but the lack of response is shocking. For such a massive brand you need to work on your customer service. . . I cannot use Salicylic acid it will tear my skin up. This is a pharmaceutical product meant for specific people with a specific skin type. This was sent to #Boxycharmers specifically with dry skin making it a TERRIBLE pick for us #Boxycharm. We do your surveys & quizzes to prevent this from happening. What happened? 😞 i wanted to try Tula products too. This and the pore deep cleaning mask are making me reconsider keeping my premium subscription. That’s 33% of my box that i straight up can’t use. NOT TO MENTION THE BOX COST $10 more than my base box & is worth LESS THAN MY BASE BOX. This @mannakadarbeauty Lip Whip is in a weird shade. It’s maybe mauvy with orangish tones? Idk i don’t like the shade. I DO like #MannaKadarBeauty and I’m happy to have something by them in my collection again, since my previous brow stick (that i got from ipsy) broke and i had to toss it. This formula is nice and drys down wonderfully, unfortunately it’s another boxy product that i can’t use this month. Tbh, I wish i had recieved it in a better shade, this whole tube is going to go to waste. 😞 . . That’s fine it happens with these subscriptions. However, this is yet another boxy products that is unusable for me this month. I’m not mad at this one (unlike the 2 acne products..!) at least i could actually try this product out. Unlike the acne products that they forced on me in this months PREMIUM (more expensive) Box, all the while #boxy knowing FULL WELL that i have dry skin. The acne products in my premium box + a foul shade in my base box, leads me to believe that once again, our beauty quizzes (that they insist we do!) aren’t being utilized. I emailed boxy last week and i am STILL awaiting a resolution. I am not the only one with dry skin who got acne & oily skin products. (Multiple months in a row!) . . The #Boxycharm customer service is straight up careless, negligent, and astoundingly incoherent in their emails. They are QUICK to take my money, 3 hours early, a night before the first, but they can’t be bothered to provide THE Slightest amount of customer service. . . This 8 hour radiance renewal sleeping mask from @Avant does infact hydrate and plump my skin. It’s thick and hydrating, but it absorbs quickly, i love that. It also seems to brighten my complexion and significantly soften my skin. . . The hefty price on this deters me from buying it buy I enjoyed trying it though. It’s a great pick and goes well with my moisturizer from last month that is from the same brand. It’s a European brand so I’d definitely never try it if it weren’t for boxy. This @skinandco Face Gommage is absolutely wonderful! It smells good, its gentle on my skin, resurfaces, and exfoliates, without drying my skin out. My face does not feel tight after using it; and its hydrated. It also smells fantastic! I’m convinced the sweet smell is from the apricot seed powder and almond oil. I use this in the shower and it leaves me feeling clean with a polished look. . . This is an amazing pick #Boxy and i look forward to repurchasing this! This is my second #SkinAndCoRoma Product, I’ve previously both tried, and then subsequently bought/gifted; the truffle therapy skin mist also. I don’t know much about the brand @igkhair I’ve only tried a few things of theirs; most recently the Rich Kids Coconut oil gel. Truthfully, i wasn’t very impressed and i lost the packet pic, so i never got around to posting about it. I’ve never bought anything of theirs until i received this Mistress Hydrating Balm in my #BoxyLuxe by #Boxycharm; It’s a hydrating leave in conditioning balm. A hair balm to me sounds like it polishes; this balm is suppose to condition and hydrate according to the description. • • It does have coconut oil in it and that tends to draw oil out of things so i was wondering how this was a hydrating balm but is coconut oil based. There is #ArganOil and #SheaButter so i could see how it could hydrate. But the coconut dehydrated my hair (i guess ?) so I’m guessing that’s why my hair is so stiff? • • I’m not sure if i used it right but It left my (bleached & colored) hair stiff as a board; it smells great and looks shiny, definitely reduced my frizz without weighing it down. It’s very lightweight for having a creamy formula, but my hair is most definitely stiff after using this. The strands are stuck together in stringy chunks, and Is not flowy at all. • • Perhaps this is better to be used during styling or on damp hair? I used it on my dry ends between washes after dry shampooing my roots. The directions didn’t specify to use on damp hair so this review is purely my first impression. I will update again after using it again on clean damp hair and see if there is any different of a result for myself. The smell is wonderful though and i enjoyed getting the opportunity to try this. Overall my May box he was OK. Individual reviews on the 5 post before this, but here a recap for you: • • 1. I really needed that eyelash curler by @purcosmetics. 2. I don’t really care for the @oryzabeauty lipgloss. Actually everything i dislike about lipgloss happened with this one. 3. The @alamarcosmetics Blush palette was to dark for me. I needed fair but I was given medium. 4. The @firstaidbeauty Coconut water cream isn’t that moisturizing to me. It both smells and feels good, but it’s not very moisturizing. And 5. The @ciatelondon liquid eyeshadow is pretty good. It was my favorite thing of the whole box aside from the EyeLash curler. I do enjoy the liquid eyeshadow best. • • I’m upgrading to #BoxyLuxe next month mainly because I am tired of receiving my regular boxes late on Luxe months. So hopefully it’s a well worth my investment. I didn’t do it last time because there were lashes in the box and I can’t use lashes. I’ve tried a couple @oryzabeauty products before and I never had the trouble that I had with this one. It seemed like the lip gloss actually took off the top layer of my lipstick. So after putting on this lipgloss I had to reapply my lipstick and then I had to reapply my gloss. • • That’s when I figured out that the gloss actually removes my lipstick and it wasn’t a cheap formula lipstick either because it’s the @smashboxcosmetics one and I use it often; so I knew that it was the gloss. Especially because the wand got stained pink from my lipstick. So now there’s pink lipstick inside of my clear lipgloss. That’s just another reason why I’m just not a fan of lipgloss. I am a fan of #OryzaBeauty (I use their lipsticks that I received in other subscriptions) but I’m just not a fan of lipgloss and #BoxyCharm has sent me 3 in 3 months. I got this @alamarcosmetics Colorete Blush Trio inside of my @boxycharm this month. I got the medium palette, I guess I can’t complain because at least I didn’t receive one in the darkest shade. I didn’t get the fair one that I needed. So I find myself having to lighten up the lightest blush on here. • • I apply the lightest blush and then I lighten it up with a lot of setting powder. Im using the other two as shadows because they’re way too dark for me to use. It’s a little frustrating to get another palette that’s not for my correct skin tone but It could’ve been worse. I could’ve gotten the really really dark one instead of the medium one. The formula is super pigmented and buttery so that’s great if it’s your shade but when trying to lighten it up the great pigment makes it difficult lol. This @firstaidbeauty - HELLO FAB COCONUT WATER CREAM that i received in my @boxycharm smells really good. The formula is super thin, it reminds me of the Drink of h20 by #Tarte. It looked really good and dewey at first and then after it dried down it was smooth and silky. • • I felt the need to reapply again at night, so I reapplied at night and i didn’t really do much of a difference. After using it for a week straight day and night i was still left pretty dry. • • Maybe it’s because i have really dry skin because of my medication, so that’s why I had reapplied it.. but I mean even well into a week later; I’m still having to apply extra of my regular lotion at night because my face is still pretty dry from using this in the day. As wonderful as this is; i wouldn’t rely on it if you have really super dry skin. I could just be sensitive to the coconut and it’s drying factors because of my already dry skin though. • • It smells really good and it’s super lightweight though, I really like that. Do i like #FirstAidBeauty? Yes. Would i repurchase this? I got this @ciatelondon Eye Lustre cream eyeshadow from @boxycharm this month. I layered it on top of another pink shadow and it looked really really well. It works as a Highlighter also. I like that it went on thick and I enjoy the applicator tip. I truly enjoyed receiving this in my box this month. I really love #CiateLondon. I received this @LuxieBrushes The Summer Daze 3Pc Brush Set in a unique festival themed color in my @boxycharm this month (DM for #ReferralLink). The brushes included are: 512 Small Contouring brush, 245 Small Shader brush, and the 209 Large Shader brush. These brushes are perfect for sculpting the perfect contour or blending out your shadows. • • The synthetic bristles are fluffy and yet dense enough to pick up the pigment without wasting it and snatching up too much of it. I can easily wash these and my bristles don’t fray. They have the same historic #Luxie quality per usual. I love getting these little sets (vs 1 brush from other subscriptions) from Boxy and that they count them as 1 item only. This @bodyography #BaliBronze eyeliner works better as a brow pencil for me than eyeliner. I was hoping it’d be a nicer liner for me because i have blue eyes but it just doesn’t stay on my waterline. I’ve never tried #Bodyography before and honestly i would give them another try before purchasing an eyeliner based on this one i got from Boxy. • • It swatches well but it comes off my eyes before my makeup is fully applied. I’m thankful the formula doesn’t irritate my eyes, make them water or burn. I just think maybe i needed a different shade? I’m not sure.
