Today's List of Nice Things:

Today I celebrated Mabon with some friends. For those that don't know, it is an old Welsh holiday celebrating the second harvest, and offering gratitude. Like Thanksgiving, but without the baggage. In honor of that, I thought I'd shift my gratitude list today to reasons I'm thankful for cooler, wetter weather. (Normally I'm not a fan of the latter. This is my attempt to make peace with it.)

I won't have to take time to water each of my toddler trees for 2 hours to make sure they survive.

The grass will turn green again.

The end of wildfire season!

The mountains will get snow again.

The rain is really nice when I'm inside. Very soothing to listen to.

The gloomy weather makes it really easy to write spooky stuff.

I'm not needing to wear as much sunscreen when I'm going on walks

I'm also not sweating as much, so clearer skin!
