Little Spidey
Pairing:Â Natasha Romanoff x Spider-Woman! Reader
Summary:Â After coming home from a long mission, you struggle to accept a little shift in your relationships.Â
Angst, Comfort, Fluff
Warnings: Brief mentions depression & loneliness | 1.3K
AC:Â Wrote this for my good friend, @scarletwidowblackwitch ! so sorry it took me forever to get this one out for you! I hope you enjoy! xÂ
Your apartment was quiet while you lay in bed staring at the roof, usually your roommates, Peter and Kate would be making so much noise that a sleep in was almost non-existent in the small apartment. The time on your phone reading, 10:16am reminded you just how hungry you were. After getting home rather late last night, sliding through the door without making a sound, careful not to wake your roommates, you took a shower and fell as the second your head hit the pillow.Â
You wandered into the kitchen, the two friends of yours leaving it how they normally did. Their breakfast dishes in the sink, crumbs from the cereal box on the countertop along with some small droplets of milk. You shook your head with a soft, amused smile on your lips as you reached for a wash cloth to clean up after them.Â
After breakfast, you showered and gave your suit a quick steam before you picked up your phone, the weather was beautiful today, the sun kissing the city of New York with its warm touch made you think about a nice catch up with you a friend or two in Central Park. You called Wanda first, knowing just how much she loved getting a latte and some fresh air but your call went to voice mail, maybe she was on a mission you thought.Â
Next you tried your roommate, Kate but no answer then you tried your luck with Peter.Â
âHey, Y/n, whatâs up?â The young adult happily asked.Â
âI just wanted to know if you were busy? Thought we could grab a smoothie and hang out?â You replied.Â
âWait, when did you get back? I thought you were still on that big job?â
âUh, last night. I didnât want to wake you or Kate, so I was pretty quietâ you lightly chuckled.Â
âWelcome back! I would hang out today but Tonyâs got me doing training in this new suit he made me, can we do a rain check?â He questioned with doubt in his voice.Â
âOf course, let me know whenever youâre freeâ you did your best to sound unbothered before Peter said heâd text you before hanging up the line. You let out a light sigh before you checked the Avengers app that Tony created to keep up with who was on missions and to no surprise, Natasha was on a mission, Bucky was on a mission, Steve was with Bucky, Sam was booked for training, Tony was with Peter and Kate was with Clint on someday training trip. With that information, you tossed your phone on your freshly made bed and decided to go to the gym for an hour or so.Â
As the days went by, you couldnât help the negative thoughts that dawned on you. Almost everybody had returned from their missions and were staying at the compound to catch up on mission reports. You joined them all at the compound but the quietness that you woke up too days before still lingered. You wondered if you were annoying those around you, your text messages went unread, or you only got short replies back. Plans to catch up went abandoned leaving you alone while your insecurities dawned on you.Â
A week has floated by you while you did your best to keep yourself distracted from the loneliness that crept into the apartment, your roommates barely coming home for more than a nights sleep. The apartment still quiet over your favorite playlist that played in the background, nothing on the streaming apps seemed interesting enough to keep the silence from becoming louder at night. Rubbish from your favorite almost overflowing the bin in the kitchen reminding you to take it out in the morning.Â
You were getting yourself ready for bed when you heard a knock at the door, you couldnât help but sigh lightly thinking it was probably the elderly neighbor with some gossip of yet another delinquent hanging around, suspiciously. You opened the door only to be met with the familiar green eyes and locks of red hair that you had missed dearly.Â
âY/n! youâre back?!â Beamed Natasha as her eyes lit up, ânobody told me you were back, and I lost my freaking phoneâ she adds.Â
You give her a weak smile, knowing she probably wasnât even here to see you in the first place. âI guess everybody has been busy, are you here to see Kate or Peter?â You asked causing Nat to frown slightly. âI needed to speak to Kate about something, but I donât care about that, it can waitâ she replied, giving you a soft smile, âmy detka is homeâ she added.Â
The pet name getting the better of you as you felt your cheeks get warm. Natasha wrapped her arms around you and gently pulled you in for a hug, âI missed you so muchâ she said in an almost whisper. You felt yourself practically melt into her hold, missing the way her arms always felt like home. Her dark rose scented perfume leaving its mark on your clothing, a smell you forgot just how much you missed.Â
âWhy donât you come stay at mine tonight?â Your girlfriend asked, pulling back to look you in the eyes ones more. Her highly trained skills to read people never failed her when it came to you, she saw past the weak smile and the sadness in your eyes no matter how much you thought you were good at hiding. âI donât know, I donât wanna be a burdenâ you confessed to the widow.Â
âA burden? Honey, you could never be a burden. Besides we both know I have the best fluff blanketsâ She says, gently cupping your face before planting a soft kiss on your lips, âand maybe you can tell me whatâs got my little Spidey so downâ she adds.Â
You couldnât help but chuckle ever so lightly at the nickname, âare you sure?â You asked, needing reassurance.Â
âDetka, if you think Iâm leaving you alone, think againâ she smirks.
âLet me go pack my overnight bag, come inâ you smile softly as she walks in, closing the door behind her.Â
âWhy donât you pack a little more than just one bag?â The widow suggested.Â
You stopped in your tracks halfway down the hall, turning to face her once more, âNat, I canât just leave without telling Peter and Kateâ you reply, âRent is due next week, it wouldnât be fairâÂ
Natasha shrugged, âIâll cover it and I think they would understand but if youâre not ready for that step itâs okay, I can waitâÂ
You took a moment to think about her idea, you wanted nothing more to be able to spend more time with your girlfriend, especially after being away from her for so long but the guilt of leaving your roommates so suddenly dawned on you. âI would love too but I really, really donât want to be a burden on you just because Iâve had a few lousy daysâÂ
Natasha, walking towards you reached out to hold your hand, âitâs not a burden to spend your life with somebody you care about. Change can be scary, but we all need it. Peter and Kate can find another roommate if they want, theyâll be okay. I really just want to share everything moment with youâ she says, looking into your eyes while silence filled the room for you to think a little more.Â
âI guess I could talk to Kate and Peter tomorrowâÂ
âThatâs my little Spideyâ Natasha smiles, ânow youâll be able to hear me complain about my cooking every nightâ she adds with a playful wink causing you to chuckle once more.Â
âDonât worry Romanoff, I wonât let you burn the house downâ you reply as she wraps her arms around you once more, âoh come on, the kitchen caught on fire onceâ she says, rolling her eyes.Â
âOnce is more than enoughâ you smile before her lips find yours again.

Puzzle Pieces Pt. 2
(Mafia!Miguel x Shy!Reader)
Part 1

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Normally, the inside of a freezer would be packed with boxes of meat or other cold food. Normally, a freezer would just be a place where workers popped in, grabbed the item they were looking for, and popped out. Unfortunally, this was no normal freezer. Behind the large wall of maze like boxes, was a large room.
Miguel's lazy gaze followed out of the maze and into the ice cold room. There, in the middle, was a man hanging upside down. Miguel's men all moved away from the hanging man, waiting for their boss' order. Miguel let out a quick sigh, watching his breathe.
"I only like to be this cold in the winter," Miguel started as he walked around the upside down, "What month is it?"
The prisoner just spat towards the floor, refusing to answer. His scowl towards Miguel and his men was filled with anger. Miguel scoffed in response and snapped his fingers. In and instant, Ben punched the man in the stomach. Peter bend down and grabbed the enemy by the hair.
"I don't like repeating myself."
"Tch, September." The man hissed. Miguel scoffed again,
"So winter is still a ways away." He stood in front of the man and pulled out a large meat cutting tool, "Vulture has some nerve having his men enter my territory. Looks like I'll have to teach him a lesson again."
"Kill me all you want, but Vulture won't be shaken by the likes of you!"
"Kill?" Miguel snorted, his cruel laugh echoing the freezer, "You must be new. We Spiders don't kill-"
Peter and Ben dropped the man to the ground, ignoring his grunts. The two brought him to a chair and held him down. Miguel's smirk grew wider as he approached the man slowly,
"Simplemente romperemos cada hueso de tu cuerpo. Una vez que hayas aprendido tu error, haremos lo que hacen las arañas y te sacaremos de tu miseria. (We'll just break every bone in your body. Once you learned your mistake, then we'll do as Spiders do and put you out of your misery.)"
--------------
It was finally time for you to go home. Your body was exhausted from working. If everyday was going to be like this, you honestly might not last. Slowly making your way out of the supermarket with some groceries, you whimpered. After walking a block, you finally cried. It was such a rough day.
The sheer pressure of everyone's presence was going to break you. Rubbing your eyes, you whimpered as people passed you by without a care. That was normal. It was normal. Shuddering a sigh, you continued to walk to your new home. No one ever checked up on you. No one ever thought to care how your feelings were. So why bother now?
Once you finally arrived home, you put your groceries away, showered and plopped onto your bed. You were too tired to make dinner. Too tired to check your laundry. Reaching for your phone, you double checked your alarms in case you fell asleep. As you did, you saw a text from one of your friends.
'Hey, so I know you don't want Eddie to know you moved, but like, he seems really worried.'
Your eyes started to tear up. Some friend. They were falling right into Eddie's palm. This was why you only told your parents and like two people about your sudden move. You had hoped they would keep a secret, but you should have known better. Which was why you never told them where in NYC you were.
'Don't tell him.' Was all you replied with.
This wasn't fair. You moved away for a reason. All you could do was hope that your parents and your two friends would stay quiet. Sobbing into your pillow, you curled into a ball and wept yourself to sleep.
---------
If any part of you was ready for a vacation, it was your eyes. They had bags all packed up and ready to go. You had been living in Nueva York for about one month now. It was still a hard adjustment for you. The trains scared you, your neighborhood scared you, your job scared you and your past haunted you.
"The usual?" Your supervisor questioned.
You raised your head tiredly, knowing that phrase by now. It was the handsome man from your first day. He only appeared every now and then to either pick something up or to do into the freezer. If not him, then one of his men.
"Number two, zero, nine, nine."
"Yes, sir."
That was a code you still couldn't memorize. Once your supervisor left, you slowly turned to place your wrapped meat into the display case. Your gaze focused on the handsome man before you, captivated by his intense stare. You could feel your heart race as it felt like he was glaring into your soul.
----------
Miguel had entered the supermarket, wanting to grab a quick bite to eat. He was in the area and wanted to escape his lackeys. They were about to have a meeting with another mafia gang, but Miguel had no intension of making peace.
Approaching the deli, Miguel inhaled deeply. It was busy and loud. He tilted his head, looking for the shy bunny, aka you. Once he spotted you, Miguel furrowed his brows. He approached the supervisor, demanding his usual. Once the Supervisor left, Miguel got a better look at you.
You faced him and froze. Those wide glossy eyes of yours had a wave of exhaustion. Your skin looked paler despite the redness of your cheeks. Miguel could see you tremble as you made eye contact with him. Your face turning even redder. It made him chuckle. Miguel was both amused and annoyed.
"You've gotten thinner, conejita (bunny). Are you not eating properly?" Miguel asked out of concern. Your lips parted ever so slightly,
"N-Not...um...N-Not really...B-But that's m-my fault." You whispered, shaking from his pressence.
Miguel's eyes widen as he finally heard your soft and sweet voice. It was like honey to his ears. You were so quiet that he almost didn't hear you either. Miguel watched as you played with your fingers, your sleeves rubber banded against your wrists. He furrowed his brows, wondering why they weren't rolled up any higher.
"What's your name?" Miguel asked. You flinched, glancing up at him again,
"(Y/N)." You answered.
"So sorry, sir! She's still learning the ropes here!" The Supervisor panicked as he rushed over with Miguel's order. Miguel nearly shot him a glare,
"I spoke to her first." He said and returned his gaze towards you, "It was a pleasure, (Y/N). Until next time."
----------
You felt your breathing return to normal as Miguel parted you with a goodbye. The way your name rolled off his tongue sounded so sweet. It almost made your heart flutter. Almost. Your fear of him was far greater than admiring him.
Returning to work, you couldn't get Miguel off your mind. You had known his name for a while, but now he finally knew yours. That and he even noticed that you lost weight. Not even your closest friends or family noticed back home. Your shoulders sunk at the thought. Were you losing too much weight now?
It was hard. You always got home tired and didn't feel like doing much of anything. Whenever you did manage to make food, it was something simple and unhealthy. This lifestyle wasn't working out for you. Perhaps you needed to schedule a doctor's appointment and get professional advice?
"M-Maybe...I'll do that...later." He mumbled to yourself.
-----------
Miguel made his way out of the supermarket, still thinking about you. He entered his vehicle, letting his driver take him back to his headquarters. You were so shy. Not like any of the other girls. Leaning back in his seat, Miguel glanced over to the woman whom he fucked earlier that day.
What did he have to do to hear your moans? You weren't going to give him anything fake. Miguel resisted a chuckle as he licked his lips at the thought. His cock buried deep into your shaking body. Your moans coming out almost pornographic as he ravished you. Oh, the thought couldn't be anymore sweeter.
"Parece que tengo un conejito que cazar. (Looks like I have a bunny to hunt.)"

Word Count: 5.3k
She sits in the corner of the jet, facing Aaron in the two-person seat near the entrance to the cockpit. Sheâs sat there with him on almost every trip for the past 3 years. Heâs good company, not too talkative, he gets her drinks and he gives her little smiles every so often. Itâs relaxing to sit with him⊠however, tonight, sheâs not in a good mood and he can tell.Â
He looks at her all concerned and then looks around at the others to assure theyâre all busy. âAre you alright?â He whispers. Keeping her business between them.Â
She shrugs, âMy sisterâs been texting me. Her engagement party is coming up and I promised Iâd go but I just found out that my cousin and her fiancĂ© are going to be thereâŠâÂ
âDo you not like her?âÂ
She shakes her head, âitâs complicated.âÂ
âIâm all ears?â He reminds her.Â
She sighs, âHer fiancĂ© is my ex-boyfriend. She slept with him while we were still together⊠I was in the academy and he was apparently lonely all by himself and didnât have the time to travel here to see me so he fell into her bed instead.âÂ
âIâm so sorry,â Hotch says, concern all over his face and disbelief in his voice. âThatâs awful, why would your sister invite her?âÂ
âBecause my parents are paying for it and all the family gets to go, no matter what,â she scoffs. âItâs to show off, nothing more.âÂ
âYou knowâŠâ he tilts his head to the side and his brows go up as he thinks, a pondering look on his face thatâs quite amusing. âYou could bring someone with you, someone to prove to him that youâve moved on and youâre in a much better place now?â He suggests.Â
âYeah, like who? Morgan?â She teases, laughing slightly.Â
âOr me?â He offers. His brows were still raised but the softest, most sincere look on his face. Sheâs never seen him look so⊠so affectionate. So careful. Unless heâs with Jack. This is his âI love you like family Iâll do whatever you need me toâ look.Â
âYeah,â she gives in. âThat would be nice⊠itâs December 22nd. Would you be able to take time away from Jack that close to Christmas?âÂ
âWhere is it?âÂ
âtheyâre having it in New York, thatâs where my sister lives now,â she explains. âIâm taking the train up the night before, I have a hotel room booked but I could stay with my sister and you could have the room for the night?âÂ
âCould we switch to a double queen?â He suggests.Â
She shrugs, âI can call and find out?âÂ
âOkay,â he nods. âJackâs with Haley this Christmas, I see him boxing day till New Year's Day and then he goes back to her.âÂ
âWeâll have to bring him home something,â she suggests. âWe can even go a bit early or stay later if you want to go shopping a bit in the city?âÂ
âHeâs always said he wants M&Mâs with his face on them,â he teases. âItâll be fun.âÂ
âIâll tell my sister to expect another person,â she says as she pulls her phone out. âDo I tell her youâre my boyfriend?âÂ
He nods, âWhatever you want to call me, Iâll be it for the weekend.âÂ
â
She tells him to pack a suit and obviously an overcoat to stay warm in the cold New York air. The party theyâre going to is going to be on the top floor of this really expensive restaurant, theyâll have rooftop access and thereâs free drinks. Itâll be the fanciest non-FBI party heâs ever been invited to.Â
The team doesnât know theyâre going together, everyone has the next two weeks off unless thereâs something serious like terrorism or multiple bodies dropping, or a kid going missing. But itâs not often their Christmas breaks get disrupted. So they pack up on the 20th, everyone takes the elevators down to the garage together and they say goodbye before their vacations.Â
He meets her at the train station the next day at 11am, their train leaves at 11:20, and he comes with snacks and coffee. Always in dad mode, he knows what itâs like to go on a long trip with someone whoâs hungry, itâs not always fun. They have a little booth together, the trains are mostly empty this close to Christmas. Everyoneâs either where they want to be already or taking last-minute flights. So itâs quiet, they get to look out the window together and she shares an earbud with him, with her phone on shuffle, exposing him to a whole bunch of new music.Â
And she has a nap, head on his shoulder and wrapped around his arm. Itâs not the first time this has happened, heâs let her sleep on him on the Jet and theyâve had to share beds in hotels before. Heâs hugged her after rough cases and when sheâs just sad⊠sheâs his family. Everyone on the team is. He just feels it a little stronger for her.Â
He rests his cheek on her head, looking out the window with a smile on his face. Excited to pretend to be her boyfriend for the next 2 days. To have her hang off his arm, to dance with her⊠maybe even steal a kiss or two to really sell it. And he canât wait to see her dress, or how she does her hair or if sheâs going to wear makeup? She doesnât get all dolled up for work, but heâs seen her dress up for the bar and events for the bureau and he thinks she is so, so beautiful. Always, but especially when she puts on lipstick and her good perfume.Â
Heâs been harbouring this little crush on her for so long that heâs not really sure how much longer it can stay a secret.Â
They arrive in New York at 6pm. The hotel theyâre staying at has a restaurant and Y/N, being the genius she is, booked a reservation for 6:30. They have enough time to put their bags in their room and head back downstairs, but their room is wrong.Â
âThey told me they could switch to two queens?â She complains as she sees just one bed. A King bed.Â
âDid you specifically say two queens or a double queen?â He teases. âCause a double queen might make them think you want a bigger bedâŠâÂ
She groans, holding her hands over her face, âOh god, I fucked up.âÂ
He gently rubs his hand on her back, âHey, itâs okay. I donât mind sharing for 2 nights, thereâs lots of room in there. Plus⊠it might be good for playing pretend.âÂ
She smirks, âmy boyfriend would sleep in the same bed as me.âÂ
âand enjoy it,â he pulls her in for a hug and rests his chin on her head while she snuggles into his chest where she feels safest.Â
â
After dinner, they walk around the city a bit. She still has to get her sister something and she has a registry at some fancy store nearby. They get hot chocolates and stand close together as they walk, hands brushing each other but not holding, no matter how much she wants to hold his hand. So she rubs her knuckles against his and waits for him to be the one to finally give in.Â
It takes a while, they walk down the block and explore two stores but he finally takes her hand in his, fingers interlocked, as they cross the street. And he doesnât let go once theyâre safely back on the sidewalk. He simply guides her towards the store her sister is registered at and they head inside, closer than ever before.Â
âHi, can I help you with anything?â One of the workers asks with a genuine smile on her face.Â
âmy sister has a registry here,â Y/N explains. âIt should be under Lindsay and Connor Higgins?âÂ
Sheâs taken to the register and handed a list, everything they want is on it. Some crossed out as theyâve already been purchased, but a decent amount of things are still there. A lot of it is pointless, fancy shit but she likes to think she knows her sister well. She knows what would actually be used by her and what would just be a decoration to prove she had good taste.Â
Her sister works really hard at a very important publishing company, sheâs gone to work by 6am and home no later than 8pm most nights. She lives on coffee and wine to wake her up in the mornings and relax her at night. So she gets her an espresso maker and some crystal wine glasses. But when she goes to pay for them, Aaron reaches out and pulls the wine glasses towards himself. âIâll get these, I canât go without a gift.âÂ
She smiles, âyou donât have to.âÂ
âI want to,â he assures her.Â
They pay, they get a decorative gift bag each and head back outside to the cold. He reaches for her hand again and she lets him, smiling over at him. âYouâre taking this assignment very seriously.âÂ
âHave you ever known me to slack on the job?â He teases.Â
She bumps her shoulder against his, âNo, I guess not⊠and I guess this is helping, itâll look more real in front of everyone tomorrow.âÂ
âIt wonât be that hard,â he assures her.
âWhy, 'cause Iâm so loveable?â She jokes, not believing the words that leave her mouth.Â
âYes, actually,â he nods, smiling over at her.Â
She just laughs, not thinking he means it as anything other than familial. âThanks. Youâre pretty great too when youâre not telling me what to do.âÂ
âI donât boss you around that much,â he laughs too. âDave teases me all the time about how much nicer I am to you than the others.âÂ
âWell, I am your best agent,â she shrugs with a proud smirk. âYou wanna go back to the hotel or is there anything you want to do tonight?âÂ
âWe can go back,â he agrees, leading them in the direction of the hotel already. âIâm going to need some good beauty sleep to make your ex jealous tomorrow.âÂ
âHa!â She laughs, raising her hand thatâs carrying the bag to cover her mouth as she giggles. âYeah, no you donât. Youâre like a million times hotter than him, itâs not a fair fight at all.âÂ
âYeah, okay,â he shakes his head in disbelief.Â
âWhat?â She looks at him like heâs crazy. âDo you not think youâre hot?âÂ
âNot exactlyâŠâÂ
âI knew you were funny but thatâs hilarious,â she jokes. âYouâre very, very hot. One of the hottest men Iâve ever seen in my life, like People magazine should be reaching out to you for sexiest man of the year. Youâve been on the news enough times, surely the public will agree.âÂ
He laughs at the compliment, âThank you, I guess⊠I guess I should trust your judgement here the way I do everywhere else.âÂ
âYes, 'cause Iâm never wrong,â she reminds him.Â
They keep joking around, teasing each other until they get back to the hotel. Up the elevator and into their room. They leave their gifts by the door and Aaron lets her take the first turn in the bathroom to get ready for the night.Â
She takes off her makeup, she washes her face and does her skincare routine and he knocks, âAre you okay in there?âÂ
âYeah, you can come in,â she announces, still fully dressed.Â
He opens the door slowly, âYouâve been in here 10 minutes already I thought you were just changing?âÂ
âNope, skincare is important,â she smiles at him, massaging the moisturizer into her face. âWant some?âÂ
He smiles, âSure, why not?âÂ
âWash your face first, get a new face cloth over there,â she points and steps out of the way of the sink. âMy face wash is right there.âÂ
She watches him wash his face carefully, smiling at him through the mirror with so much affection behind her eyes. Heâs so cute when he gets soft like this, she could easily see them having a life like this together. Getting ready for bed together, doing their nighttime routines and falling into the same bed. Night after night. Forever.Â
Once his face is washed he looks to her, âHow much moisturizer do I use?âÂ
âWant me to do it?â She offers.ïżœïżœ
He nods, âplease?âÂ
âSit down on the toilet lid,â she instructs and he moves over there quickly.Â
She opens the jar again and takes a decent-sized amount onto her fingers, she puts the jar down and smiles at him, âIt might be cold.â She dabs it on his forehead, cheeks, nose and chin and then starts to rub it in for him. He closes his eyes and sighs as he leans into it. âLike it?âÂ
He hums, nodding slightly, not wanting to talk incase he accidentally got cream in his mouth. She just smiles, adoringly, loving that she gets to have moments like this with him. âYouâre so cuteâŠâ she whispers.Â
He chuckles, finally looking at her again. She cups his face in her hands, âall done.âÂ
âYouâre cuter.âÂ
âWhat is happening here?â She asks, completely serious. âAre you just a good actor orâ
âI was in a few plays,â he teases. âBut no, Iâm not acting.âÂ
âDo you have a thing for me?â She lights right up. âOh my god, you do?âÂ
âAnd you call yourself a profiler,â he shakes his head. âYes, okay? I like you. I think youâre wonderful and beautiful and everything I wantâ is that what you wanted me to say?âÂ
âGet up,â she says, pulling at him.Â
âWhy?â He asks as he stands.Â
âSo you can be taller than me when I kiss you,â she teases. Grabbing him by his shirt and pulling him in.Â
The kiss is soft at first, cute and sweet⊠but then they get needy. Years of close proximity and bubbling feelings and âwhat ifsâ all coming to the surface. He cups the back of her head with one hand and holds her lower back with the other, holding her flush to his chest as his tongue makes her acquaintance.Â
She accidentally moans as his hand goes down to cup her ass and he smiles against her. He pulls back slightly, noses brushing. âI canât tell you how long Iâve waited to do that.âÂ
âReally?â She canât believe it.Â
He smiles before he steals another kiss, and another and another and before they know it heâs backed her out of the bathroom and all the way to their king bed. He has her on the mattress, hand on her back and the nape of her neck as he cradles her and hovers over her. His tongue on hers, their chests pressed together, and her hands on his back with her nails desperately clinging to the cotton.Â
He eagerly moves to kiss her neck and while it feels so good, sheâs worried about what is about to go down. Sure, she hoped for this. She thought maybe theyâd have a few drinks at the party tomorrow and stumble home and fall into bed together and regret it in the morning but this⊠admitting to liking each other while completely sober, was not on her mind at all.Â
âAaron,â she whispers, hesitation in her voice.Â
He pulls back, âsomething wrong?âÂ
âAre we going to regret this?â She worries.Â
He cups her face gently, his body weight still on top of her, itâs oddly comforting to feel so trapped under him. âI know I wonât, but if you will, then we stop. I never want you to regret your time with me. I never want you to be uncomfortable with me. I never want to lose what we have⊠so if that means we never have more than a friendship, I'm perfectly okay with that.âÂ
âI have tried so hard not to love you for the last year and a bit that weâve been friends,â she admits. âIf we go further and you change your mind, Iâll never recover.âÂ
âI wonât change my mind,â he says, confident as ever. âI want you to love me as much as I already love you.âÂ
His thumb caresses her cheek while he talks, he looks at her with the most affectionate look sheâs ever seen on him. Heâs so handsome all the time, but this look. The softness, his big brown eyes, the way he smelled like her face cream and he kept looking down at her lips like he was dying to taste them again⊠sheâs always believed him when he speaks, but this is different. Heâs opened his chest and handed her his heart and he wants her to hold it and keep it safe... forever.Â
âI love you,â she admits, tearing up because this is so unreal. âI love you so much, Aaron.âÂ
He kisses her again, so gently, breathing her in and savouring every moment. Sure, itâs not their first kiss, that happened 10 minutes ago, but this is the first kiss theyâll have being openly in love with each other.Â
She kisses him again and again, never wanting this to end. She wraps her legs around him, she holds him closer than ever and he lightly moans against her. She starts to work at his shirt, unbuttoning it so she can get her hands under it. She wraps her arms around him, touching his hot skin as he breaks the kiss and moves down her neck.Â
âI love you, so much,â he reminds her again.Â
âShow me how much?â she whispers right into his ear.Â
He pulls back, delicately looking into her eyes, âare you sure?âÂ
She nods, âmore than Iâve ever been before.âÂ
He gets his shirt off, and he pulls her forward to pull hers off too. Through kisses and rolling around, his pants are off, then herâs. Behind her, he kisses her spine while he unclips her bra, pushing each strap off her arms with kisses to her shoulders, he cups her breasts and kisses up to her ear again, âlay down.âÂ
She listens, he gets between her legs and peels her underwear off. Raising her right leg, he kisses her knee and down her thigh, as he gets on his stomach, he looks up at her for permission and all she can do is nod because this seems unreal. His big beautiful brown eyes are looking at her from between her legs as he kisses the most intimate part of her body and sheâs in heaven.Â
Sheâs died and gone to heaven. The train mustâve crashed and sheâs in her own personalized forever with the man of her dreamsâŠ. But it didnât. This is real and happening and she should be enjoying it.Â
She grips his hair, and her back arches as she moans into the contact, heâs so fucking good with his mouth because of course he is? Is there anything this man canât do?
Full of love and zero expectations or worry, she feels herself getting closer to an orgasm so much faster than she has with anyone else ever. Not even herself. Normally sheâs so in her head, so nervous and worried or barely being taken care of⊠this one just sneaks up on her, trembling through her, she grips his hair a little tighter and moans out his name, âOh, oh Iâm cumming, Iâmâ oh!âÂ
He laps up every last drop as she rides it out, overstimulating her slightly, and he can tell. He pulls back with a grin, proud of himself and enjoying the way she looks so fucked out like this.Â
He kisses back up her tummy, between her boobs and then hovers over her while sheâs still catching her breath, âhiâŠâÂ
She smiles, âHi?âÂ
âReady for me to show you the rest?âÂ
âThereâs more?â She teases, âYou love me more than that?â
He laughs, âYeah, that was just a tasteâŠâÂ
She pulls him in for a kiss, tasting herself on his lips. âMm, a good taste.âÂ
âYouâre telling me,â he growls. âI could do that every day for the rest of my life.âÂ
âAnd Iâd let youâŠâÂ
He kisses her again, cause if he doesnât, she wonât stop teasing him.Â
Kissing him while coming down from her high, feels unreal. Sheâs floating on a cloud, and might as well be on drugsâ it feels too good, she moans against him, legs wrapped around him, she never wants to let him go. He kisses the side of her mouth, âbabyâ
She hums, pulling him back in for another kiss.Â
He pulls back, âI canât fuck you with my boxers still on.âÂ
She sighs, pretending itâs more work than it is, âFine, take âem off.âÂ
He shakes his head with a smile as she lets him go and heâs able to push his boxers off. âAnd I need to grab a condomâ
âdid you bring condoms?â She sounds shocked.Â
He nods, âyeah⊠I didnât expect anything, I just always have some in my toiletries bag.âÂ
She watches his cute ass jiggle as he walks towards his bag, he squats to undo the zipper and she tries not to laugh at the view of his balls dangling but itâs so endearing somehow? Heâs real and there and heâs about to rock her world.Â
Heâs quick to grab what he wants, he rips the condom open with his teeth and tosses the wrapper to the floor as he rolls it on right beside the bed. She watches carefully, eyes scanning his whole body. She hasnât really had a good look at him while naked yet, heâs been pressed against the bed or on top of her. But damn.Â
âJesus,â she whispers under her breath.Â
He smirks, âwhat?âÂ
She waves her hand around in his general direction, âYou just walk around with all that under your suits every day?âÂ
He shakes his head again, âI could say the same thing about you.âÂ
He crawls back onto the bed, between her legs again, one hand on the bed as he hovers over her, âyou okay with this position?âÂ
She nods, âperfectly okay with it. Itâs a very underrated position.âÂ
âMhm,â he agrees, leaning in to kiss her again. One hand on her hip, he grinds himself against her, âReady?âÂ
She nodded, watching as he lets go of her hip to grip himself at the base, she spreads her legs a bit more and he taps her clit once just for fun but it makes her whine, âDonât tease me.âÂ
âBut you can tease me?â He asks, head right at her entrance, about to push in⊠she nods and thatâs when he does it. Watching her head tip back with a silent moan. âNow I know how to get you quiet.âÂ
He goes back to rest his hand on her hip but she reaches for them and interlocks their fingers, instead. He bottomed out and dropped to hover over her once more, bringing their interlocked hands over her head.Â
She reached up to kiss him, but Aaron pushed into the kiss and made her settle into the pillow once again. It honestly felt like a movie scene, the first time between two star-crossed lovers. He pulled out ever so slightly before thrusting in again, she gasped against his mouth. Aaron trusted more while she pushed her hips into it as well, an offbeat rhythm developed in pure ecstasy. She let go of Aaronâs hands to snake them around his waist, to run her fingers over the soft and slightly chilled skin of his back. Feeling the bump of his spine Aaron ducked into the crook of her neck, placing kisses along her collarbone.
He changed the position of his thrust as he wrapped his arms under her, arching her back ever so slightly to reach the bundle of nerves that left her a quivering mess. She, in response to the added pleasure, ran her sharp nails down Aaronâs back and he groaned at the feeling, âdo that again.â he requested.
âLike that?â She asked, dragging his nails down him once more.
âYeah,â Aaron moaned, dark and deep. ïżœïżœMark me⊠where no one can see it, only you know tomorrow.â
So she does, she runs her nails over his back with more intent, knowing there will be 8 red lines spread down his back in the morning. Just then, he starts to kiss lower, down to her boobs, where he sucks a mark that shouldn't be visible in her dress tomorrow⊠he wanted to mark her just as bad. But his kisses quickly return to her neck and lower ear.Â
âAaron,â she moans out. âGo a little faster?âÂ
He does as she asks, keeping that loving feeling but picking up the pace. The feeling of pure bliss overtook her body with each thrust, warm chills ran through him with each brush of his thumb on her clit. Every kiss to her neck and squeeze around her waist made her feel like she was on fire. The hairs on her arms stood up, and goosebumps formed along his forearms. Aaron kissed from her neck to her nipple and took the hard nib into his mouth causing her to moan like she never had before.
âAaron,â she panted, pulling Aaronâs face back up to his.
His eyes were absolutely blown out in pleasure, those chocolate wonders he used to stare into were now replaced solely by the pupils. She ran her thumb across Aaronâs cheek before reaching to the nape of his neck to pull him into another kiss. Open mouths pressed together, hot air on each otherâs faces as they panted to the pleasure.
She was in heaven.
Her orgasm bubbled in her stomach, âare you close?â Aaron whispered right beside her mouth, kissing her cheek lightly after.
She hummed, unable to speak with the mass amount of pleasure coursing through her body. Aaron fucked into her a bit harder, a tiny bit faster, hitting her G-spot dead on each time to the point the nerves in her thighs were quaking uncontrollably.
She was so close, Aaron used 3 fingers to quickly rub over her clit before she threw her head back with a shout. Cumming with her eyes pressed shut, pleasure coursed through her body stronger than sheâs ever felt before.
Nothing had ever made her cum that hard, ripping through her like her soul was leaving her body. She dug her nails deep into Aaronâs skin holding him close to his body while he kept thrusting.
A high-pitched gasp left his lips, close to her ear as his hips sputtered into hers one last time. She still hadnât opened her eyes, her breath rigid, she felt winded. Aaron had stilled as he came inside of her and then collapsed into her, deadweight lying on her.
But she didnât mind. Not in the slightest. She wrapped herself around him even tighter and kissed the side of his head, âI love you, too.âÂ
He kisses her neck, âI canât believe I was afraid to tell youâŠâÂ
âSilly man, we couldâve been doing that the whole time,â she teases him again the first chance she gets.Â
He huffs a little laugh out of his nose, smiling against her. âWe can do this all the time now.âÂ
âMhm,â she squeezes him a little tighter. âI hope you know this means weâre dating now. I donât just fuck anyone. Especially not my bossâŠâÂ
He manages to push himself up to look at her, and the look on his face says it all. âYeah, I know⊠and Iâll handle the paperwork when we get back.âÂ
â
They get all dolled up together, between kisses and flirting and teasing⊠they end up fully dressed, presents in hand, on their way to the party. They hold hands the whole cab ride over, up the elevator and into the booming restaurant.Â
Itâs entirely booked out for her sisterâs party, on the top floor of a fancy building. Itâs completely catered, there are fancy waiters walking around with trays of hors dâoeuvres and expensive champagne. They have their gifts taken from their hands upon arrival and their hands are instantly filled with a drink. She looks around, looking for the first person she knows well and spots her mom and dad over on the other side of the room.Â
âCome with me, I have some people I want you to meetâŠâ she says as she leads him through the crowd.Â
Heâs nervous but more excited. She gets to show him off and this isnât a lie. He really is her boyfriend and they are in love and happy and this is everything heâs ever wanted. With his hand around her waist the whole time, shoulder to shoulder, he meets her parents and her sister. He shakes hands with her dad and her new brother-in-law, he gets hugs from the mom and sister, theyâre looking at her with eyes that he can hear. Theyâre saying how much of an improvement he is to the last guy, theyâre amazed at how handsome he is, and he blushes slightly in response.Â
âSo how long has this been going on?â Her dad asks.Â
She looks up at him and smiles, âNot long, but weâre really happy.âÂ
âThe happiest,â he agrees, stealing a quick kiss from her that makes the women swoon.Â
âYou know, this is fantastic,â her sister announces. âI was worried youâd be upset to see Brad and Cameron here together but now you have Aaron and theyâre not even coming anymore. Something happened⊠I donât even think theyâre together anymore.âÂ
âOh?â Sheâs completely shocked to hear that.Â
âOnce a cheater always a cheater,â her brother-in-law says under his breath with the roll of his eyes.Â
âWe see it all the time at work,â Aaron agrees. âItâs pathological. They crave attention so intensely that theyâll do anything to get it, to the detriment of the people they love. They cheat because for a moment theyâre the most important person, theyâre attractive enough to get who they want and powerful enough to get away with it. And even when it blows up in their face they can play the âyou wouldnât be this mad if you werenât so obsessed with meâ card.âÂ
âThatâs Brad,â her dad agrees. âGood riddance, honestly.âÂ
âLetâs just leave it there,â her mom announces. âWeâre here for Lindsay and Connor.âÂ
âItâs been lovely to meet you Aaron, but we have a lot of people to mingle with,â Lindsay announces and Connor sighs. âWeâll talk again later?âÂ
âSounds good,â Y/N lets them head off and then sheâs just with her parents. âUm, Iâm hungry⊠Aaron, did you want to go raid the snacks?âÂ
âIâd love to,â he agrees. âIt was lovely to meet you both.âÂ
âWe hope to see you again regularly?â Her mother throws in.Â
âI donât plan on going anywhere,â he assures, âyou should get used to me.âÂ
She manages to pull him away from them, a little overwhelmed and so in love with him. She gets him to an empty corner and looks up at him like heâs crazy, âdid you seriously say that?âÂ
He nods, âWhat part of last night didnât you understand? Iâm madly in love with you. I would marry you tomorrow if it wouldnât take the attention off your sister.âÂ
She just laughs, shocked and amazed that he just said that. âReally?âÂ
âYes. Really.âÂ
She shakes her head in disbelief, âo-okay⊠but you still have to ask me. I donât need anything big and extravagant and Iâd like to maybe pick the ring out with you if you want butâ
âYou want to?âÂ
She nods, that teasing smirk he loves so much plastered on her face, âI donât just want to be your work wife, Aaron.âÂ
âWeâll revisit this in the new year⊠I need Jack to know about this and be okay with it before I spring a step-mom on him,â he explains.Â
âI wouldnât have it any other way.â

Lizzie was coming back home today. She'd been out of state for the past few weeks for her new movie, and although you couldn't be more proud of her, youâd missed your girlfriend painfully.
She'd FaceTime you every night before bed and wake you up with a good morning text.
Sometimes she'll call just to ask how you've been or if you'd eaten yet, always making you smile for how much she cares.
LizzardđŠđ: Good morning princess, I'm boarding my plane. I can't wait to see you <3
Y/n: Yayy I'm so happy! Text me when you land baby, have a safe flight!
You bring your phone up to your chest, a wave of excitement flowing through you. You head into the kitchen and decide to make yourself breakfast, a simple eggs and toast.
Tapping your feet on the tile floor, you munch happily on your food, humming your own tune and thinking about all the things you'd do once you're back in Lizzie's arms.
Your mind starts to drift off into more explicit train of thought, imagining how her slender fingers would feel around your throat, how sweet she'd taste on your tongue, how fast she'd make you cum after so much time apart.
You blink rapidly, trying to ignore the growing wetness between your legs and regain your focus back to your eggs. You finish them in record speed, popping hints of toast into your mouth with each bite.
Once you finish, you wash your dishes. You then leave the kitchen and grab your keys, making your way outside and down the stairs of your complex. You get inside your car, start it and back out of the parking lot.
You drive yourself over to the nearest flower shop, parking your car in front of it and stepping out.
Heading inside the store, your nostrils are instantly flooded with the smell of all the surrounding plants.
You go straight for the roses, Lizzie's favorite, also making sure to grab some gardenias, mixing them in with the bouquet to help it pop.
You ask the florist to have a custom tag written on the side of the bouquet, a smile on your face as you wait patiently for him to make it and ring you up.Â
Once you pay, you drive over to your local grocery store, grabbing a shopping cart and pushing it to the candy section. You grab a large chocolate bunny, and the cliche heart shaped box and put it inside.
You notice a wooden basket in the aisle across from you, grabbing it, you continue shopping till you're left with a stuffed teddy bear, a card, a fluffy blanket with little dogs on it and the chocolates from before.
You check out and drive back home, starting to set up your gift basket. You put the everything inside and start writing in the card you bought.
I'm so proud of you for being the big beautiful star I knew you'd always shine to be. I love you Lizzie.
You sign it, drawing a little heart next to your name, putting it in with everything else.
You grab your flowers, "Welcome home" written on the ribbon wrapping it, and place them next to basket on the table for the moment.
Your next task is getting yourself ready. You rush into your bathroom, stripping yourself of your clothes and going to take a shower.
As you make quick work to shave and keep yourself clean for her, the thoughts from earlier start coming back, a blush tainting your cheeks as you feel your core tingle.
Still, you regain your composure, finishing your shower and drying yourself off. You take a quick glance at your phone, knowing the flight from New York to L.A is only a few hours, and you'd already spent a good chunk of them shopping.
You find yourself a pair of white underwear with a tiny pink bow on it and decide to not to wear a bra, knowing that if anything were to happen, she wouldn't want to waste time on the pesky garment.
You throw on her burgundy NYU sweatshirt, and grey sweatpants, smiling when you realize her shirt still smells like her.
Sitting at your vanity you start to do your makeup, nothing too much, just a natural look.
You couldn't look a mess for the love of your life now could you?
Just as you finish up, you get a text from Lizzie telling you she'd landed and was in an Uber on the way home.
Your heart flutters, that rush of excitement returning to you as you feel butterflies in your stomach.
You sit on the couch, facing the door, the flowers in your hand as you wait for her like an obedient puppy, clutching your phone as you fight the urge to call her and ask how much longer she'd take.
As if right on cue, you hear the front door handle jiggle, Lizzie stepping inside with her luggage, your first instinct is to run up and practically pounce onto her.
"Baby!" You squeal.
She gasps, letting go of her bag and catching you as you wrap your arms around her, the flowers almost falling out of your grasp. She presses a kiss to your cheek, making you blush before you turn to kiss her.
"Well hello to you too." She grins, pecking your lips a few times, closing the door behind you two with her foot and setting you down, noticing the gifts you'd gotten her.
You hand her the bouquet and her smile widens. "Is this for me?" You nod, suddenly feeling shy as you notice the adoration in her eyes. "Got you presents."
Lizzie sniffs the flowers and her smile widens, she steps further inside your shared apartment, she makes her way up to the coffee table, her mouth opening slightly as she notices all the things you put together for her.
"You're so good to me." She turns to you, tears welling up in her eyes as she pulls you into a hug, kissing the crown of your head.
"You work so hard Liz, you deserve it." Gently, she backs away, turning to examine your gift basket.
The first thing she picks up is your card, opening it and a pout forming on her face. You look down at your feet bashfully, waiting for her to see the rest of her treats.
Slowly, she takes each out one by one, the chocolates, the bear and the blanket. She bites her lip in thought. You look up, "I would've gotten more but.. I didn't know if I had enough time."
She shakes her head, turning to you with her arms wide. She pulls you into her and picks you up again, your legs wrapping around your torso as your arms wrap around her neck, foreheads pressed against one another.
"This is more than enough babygirl, you make me feel so special. I only wish I'd gotten you something."
You shake your head, "You being here is a gift in itself, I'm so happy you're home." You kiss her again, leaving little pecks all over her face, making her giggle.
Lizzie walks the two of you over to your shared bedroom, laying down in bed together with your arms still securely around each other, you straddling her lap.
You start to press kisses onto her neck, sucking at the skin at the column of her throat, little marks forming in their wake.
Lizzie groans, pushing your head closer as she feels your hands slip under her shirt, your cold hands on her hot skin making her shiver.
"I missed you so much." You murmur against her, "Wanted to feel you everyday."
Lizzie backs away for a second to unbutton her blouse, revealing a gray laced bra. You moan at the sight, looking up at her for approval before you reached behind her to unclip it, discarding the fabrics.
You leave your marks on the tops of her breasts, moving downwards and circling your tongue around her areola, Lizzie throbbing at the feeling.
Just as you switch to the other breast, you're flipped onto your back, pinned underneath her as she kisses you, tongue swiping your lip, asking for entrance.
You grant it to her, whimpering into her mouth as she takes over. Your hands go to her hair, tugging the silky brown locks as you wrap your legs around her to keep her close.
She breaks the kiss, slipping off her pants and panties, leaving her bare in front of you. She shifts down between your legs, spreading them and rubbing up and down your thighs.
"So pretty like this, in my shirt all precious, my gorgeous girl." You blush at her praise.
"Lizzie please-"
"That's not my name is it now?" She mockingly pouts at you, tilting her head
"I'm sorry.. mommy."
"Much better." You're practically plead for her to give you anything, begging her and trying to reason that it's been too long without her, you'd missed her touch, her hands on you.
You needed her.
Lizzie finally gives in, bunching the sweater up and pushing it past your breasts, revealing them to her. You try to pull it off but she grabs your hand.
"Don't. Keep it on." You obey and lay back onto the pillows.
She takes a nipple into her mouth, the other getting twisted by her slim fingers. Your body quivers, little moans escaping you at the feeling of her toying with your chest.
Still, you craved more. "Mommy touch me... please I need it so bad."
She chuckles "Am I not touching you right now darling?" She pinches your nipple, making you squeeze your eyes shut.
"Yes.. j- just need you down there." You tilt your head downward trying to gesture what you wanted.
"Down where princess? C'mon you can tell mommy, use your words." Your face flushes red in embarrassment, taking her hand and bringing it between your legs.
"Need mommy to play with my.. my big girl parts." She lets out a faux gasp, almost taunting you, tugging at the hem of your sweatpants and pulling them down.
She notices your underwear and bites her lip, fiddling with the little bow. "Such a pretty princess." You whine, bucking your hips up towards her as your wetness made the fabric almost transparent.
Lizzie rubs your slit through your panties, teasing you with two fingers and watching as you writhe underneath her, a dark smile drawing itself onto her face at your whimpers.
"P-please don't tease, I need you."
She pushes your panties to the side admiring your glistening cunt. Finally she makes contact with you, making you throw your head back, moaning at the feeling of her fingers on you.
"F-fuck." You groan when she dips two fingers into your entrance, not even giving you a moment to adjust as she pumps them into you.
"God I love this tight little pussy, no matter how many times I fuck it, it still grips mommy so good." You whimper, your hand reaching down to grab onto her forearm as she keeps a steady pace.
"Unh- mommy.. please don't stop." She smirks before bringing her head down, taking your clit into her mouth. "Oh my god."
Her tongue swirls around your bundle of nerves, your hand moving to grip onto her hair as she takes you. Your hips grind against her tongue while your legs tremble, the feeling of your climax approaching quickly.
"Fuck mâgonna cum, gonna cum on mommy's pretty face." Lizzie takes this moment to nibble on your throbbing pearl, your eyes rolling in the back of your head as you let out a guttural moan.
You feel the waves of your orgasm rush through you, your walls clenching around Lizzie's fingers as you slowing come down from your high.
You feel her press her lips to your pussy before trailing back upwards. Leaving quick kisses up your stomach and chest.
She pulls her fingers out of you, bringing them to your lips and watching as you suck the digits clean. Moaning at the taste of yourself.
Her free hand reaches down to wrap itself around your throat, gently squeezing the sides of your neck. Her tongue melds with yours when she kisses you.
Lizzie positions her wet heat onto yours, grinding against yours, making your nails dig into her forearm as you convulse in pleasure.
"M-mommy.. s-still sensitive..." She shushes you, licking a stripe from the column of your neck to your earlobe before taking it into your teeth.
"Take what I give you princess, good girls let their mommies handle them as they please."
You whine, your folds fluttering as you feel yourself getting closer. Lizzie's sloppy wetness brushing against yours in the best way, making you see stars.
"Mmph- ah.. fuck mommy!" You cum, your body trembling. She follows soon after, both of your breathing heavy and ragged as you come back down to earth.
"I love watching you fall apart." She cups your cheek making your heart flutter at her endearment.
"Mommy?" She looks down at you adoringly, raising her brow. "What is it baby?"
"Can I.. Can I taste you?" Her smile returns, nodding her head. She positions herself above you, your mouth watering when you notice the build up of her arousal between her lower lips.
You grab onto her thighs, pulling her down as Lizzie grabs onto the headboard. You start to lap at her cunt, her eyes rolling into her head as she praises you.
One of her hands reaches down and tugs on your hair, pulling you closer to her as feel yourself get drunk off her juices.
"Oh there you go angel, so fucking good." That last bit comes off in a growl, her body rocking against your face as she feels her climax wash through her, a blissed out grin on her face.
Lizzie drops back into bed, kissing your puffy lips, the both of you moaning into eachother's mouths.
She finally takes this time to take off the sweater, pulling your now naked body into her arms and cuddling you.
She traces invisible lines onto your back and the two of you sigh happily at the skin to skin contact. She presses a kiss to your forehead as you slowly start to feel yourself drift off into sleep.
Your eyes start to shut as you lose yourself in the safety of her arms. "I love you." Is the last thing you hear her whisper before you fall in a deep sleep.

Bradley was half asleep, sipping on his coffee while he drove to North Island from his house in the soft pre dawn light. He really hated these early training days that started at six o'clock and didn't end until after dinnertime. He'd be in the air all day, and then he'd probably be too tired to stay awake to watch game one of the World Series.Â
Everyone on base was excited that the Padres were playing the Angels. A Southern California showdown for the ages. Tickets to game one in San Diego were selling for almost a thousand dollars per seat, but the sports radio host Bradley was listening to was giving them away.
Bradley yawned as the host asked, "Who was the first major league baseball player to pitch a ball over 100 miles per hour?"
"That's easy," Bradley mumbled. "Nolan Ryan." And then he realized that it was 5:30 in the morning and perhaps nobody else who was listening knew that fact. "Huh," he grunted, reaching for his phone at a red light. He dialed the number and was shocked when he got through to the host.Â
"Good morning, caller! What's your name? Where are you from?"
"I'm Bradley. From Coronado."
"Do you have an answer for me, Bradley? Which major league player was the first to pitch over 100 miles per hour?"
"That would be Nolan Ryan."
"You sound confident in your baseball knowledge," the host replied. "Double or nothing? I'll upgrade your ticket to a seat in a box suite if you can tell me which team Ryan was pitching against."
Bradley smiled to himself as he pictured the boxes of his dad's old baseball cards that he still had in his garage. "He was pitching against the Chicago White Sox."
And just like that, Bradley was the proud owner of a suite ticket for game one of the World Series at Petco Park later that night.Â
---------------------------
Your flight from New York to San Diego had been delayed so many times, you were a little surprised you managed to get to your hotel in your rental car and then make it to the game on time. At least you'd been able to start writing your article on the flight. Unless the game went into extra innings, you should be able to finish by your midnight deadline. Because if there was one thing the New York Times didn't mess around with, it was the hard cutoff for your submissions.Â
As you made your way to the media entrance at Petco Park, you pulled out your lanyard with your credentials and looped it around your neck. As soon as someone learned that you were a sports writer for the most prestigious newspaper in the country, they were either impressed or they did a double take. You were a freshly thirty year old female with a ten year career in sports journalism, and you didn't take shit from any guys about it.Â
In fact, you loved it when men tried to one up you. Because they never could. You knew more than they did about sports, you were an amazing writer, and you found pleasure in shutting them down. Preferably in front of their friends. And then they would inevitably try to ask you out. And you would shut that down, too. It was a game that you were very good at now.Â
As you were scanned into the ballpark by a security officer, you quickly made your way up to your assigned press box. You expected the heavy hitters to be there. And of course you'd be the youngest, and probably one of just a few women in attendance. As you climbed the narrow stairs and swiped your badge one last time, you opened the door and strolled past a table filled with food and drinks. And then you saw them: Carl from ESPN, Jack from The Chicago Tribune, Harold from the Los Angeles Times, and Quincy from the Philadelphia Inquirer. You would keep your guard up, because it was just a matter of time before one of them made some sort of comment about your ability to do your job.Â
The room was already filling up as you claimed a spot on one of the narrow counters where you could set up your computer and get to work. You removed your lanyard and tossed it next to your stuff, and then you waved to Raya from MSN Sports, the only other female in the room. When you turned to grab a drink and some food, you noticed the flash of a handsome face and a mustache. And then you stifled a scream as you saw and felt a plastic cup of cold beer meet your chest before soaking the front of you completely.Â
"Oh, fuck!" came the deep, raspy voice of the most handsome man you could remember seeing in recent history as he stared at your chest. You supposed it was a fair trade, because you couldn't look away from his face no matter what you did. He was hot; all tan skin, brown eyes, and wavy, brown hair. And the blush that crept in and colored his cheeks made him look boyish as he glanced up to meet your eyes. "I'm so sorry!"
When he swallowed hard, and his eyes drifted down to your chest again, you looked down as well. Great. Your light blue lace bra was plainly visible through your white blouse, and the beer was even dripping onto your jeans and your new, white Chucks.Â
You just shook your head and shrugged. "It's okay. Shit happens. But why did you bring a beer in here?" you asked. But he still looked so embarrassed and flustered, you decided to mess with him. "Who do you write for? I'll send them my laundry bill."
"Write?" he asked, and yep, that was confirmation that he had the sexiest voice you had ever heard.Â
"Yeah," you said, feeling a little flustered yourself as you reached for some napkins to dab your shirt dry. "Tampa Bay Times? Boston Globe? Oh Lord, don't tell me you're from Barstool Sports. I don't recognize you, and I'm pretty sure I'd remember you." That was a lie; you would definitely have remembered him.
"No," he said, watching your every move. "I don't write."
You laughed as his gaze flicked up from your chest to your eyes when you looked up at him. "That explains the alcohol, then. But why are you in the press box? Did you get lost up here?"
He smirked at that. "No. I won a radio contest and got a seat in a box suite. But somehow my ticket got mixed up, and they sent me a media pass instead."
"Really?" you asked, eyeing him up and down now. "I had to pay for a four year journalism degree for my media pass, and you're going to tell me I could have just listened to the radio?"
His laugh was infectious and his smile made you a little giddy as he held out his hand to you. "I'm Bradley. I don't think I could manage to write an article about sports, even if I was getting paid to do it. You must be very talented." You preened a bit at his words as you shook his hand. "And I'm really sorry about the beer," he added, gesturing to your shirt. "I'd offer to get you a drink or dinner, but the food in here is free, and you're actually working. So, I'll just stand here like an idiot and keep shaking your hand and apologizing until you tell me your name and tell me to stop. I'm really sorry about your shirt." He was still shaking your hand, and now you couldn't stop smiling.
You told him your first name and then you said, "You can stop shaking my hand now, Bradley."Â
"Let me grab you some water?" he asked, and when you nodded, he turned toward the bar in the far corner. And you took in his tall frame, broad shoulders and massive biceps which were highlighted by his Padres shirt.Â
"Oh no," you whispered to yourself, still mindlessly dabbing your wet blouse with some napkins.
--------------------------
Bradley turned toward you with two water bottles, and thankfully this time he managed to keep the drinks in his hands. You were so fucking cute, and your wet shirt was doing crazy things to him. He couldn't stop smiling, and when you looked up at him and cautiously accepted your drink, you were smiling too.Â
"Thanks for not drenching me again," you said, tapping your drink to his. And then Bradley heard an older guy call your name, and you turned in his direction.Â
"Nice shirt," he shouted so everyone was suddenly looking your way. "That how you plan on getting an exclusive with one of the players? Sex sells now? I thought this was about the game."
Bradley was appalled that another journalist was talking to you like that, but before he could say that your wet shirt was actually his fault, you were shouting back at the guy.
"Harold, you couldn't even drag your sorry, old ass down to the field fast enough to get an exclusive with the mascot. I don't know how you're not retired or dead yet. Didn't you cover the 1922 World Series?"
Bradley watched Harold purse his lips at you before he turned away and took a seat. And when Bradley glanced down at you as you sipped your water, you looked completely unfazed. And he was ridiculously turned on.
"Damn, nobody should be messing with you," he said, thoroughly impressed. "You're an Ace."
You just rolled your eyes, but you looked very pleased by his words. He already knew he wanted to talk to you all night, but now you were setting your drink down next to your computer and opening it as you sat. "This is a boys club. Just a dick measuring contest. I can't let up for a second or I'll get steamrolled."
Bradley let his eyes dip down to your damp shirt as he asked, "I don't want to commit another beer related crime. You seem to know how this press box stuff works. Mind if I sit with you?"
"Not at all," you told him as you licked your lips. "As long as you don't spill anything else on me."
Bradley eased himself down on the stool next to yours, and his knee brushed your thigh. He watched you filling out a baseball stat sheet while you opened up a document on your computer.Â
"So what was the trivia question?" you asked as you sipped your water again.
"Trivia question?" he murmured, watching your lips wrap around the rim of the bottle before you took a drink.Â
"Yeah, isn't that how you won the pass? For the box seat? Even though you're slumming it with the journalists now?"
"I wouldn't call this slumming it," he said, eyeing your pretty face. "But yeah, they asked who was the first pitcher to throw a ball over 100 miles per hour."
"Oh. Nolan Ryan. Angels versus the White Sox. Nice," you said as you smiled at him. Fuck. You liked sports. You wrote about sports. You were gorgeous, and you knew more about sports than he did. Bradley let his mind drift to peeling off your damp, white shirt and licking the taste of beer off your chest while you moaned baseball stats and ran your fingers through his hair. He could definitely get into that. He briefly wondered if you were going to be at the next game here on Sunday.
And then you were keeping the game stats in your notebook at the same time you typed up notes, and Bradley realized he had missed the first few pitches. "Oof, that was a sloppy curveball," you muttered as you peered down at the field before checking the overhead screen. "He's supposed to be their Ace."
"Nah, you're the Ace," Bradley said, and you turned to grin at him as your fingers brushed against his. There was not a lot of room at this little countertop, and when you tried to nudge his arm out of the way, he wrapped it around the back of your stool.Â
"How am I supposed to keep my stats with you taking up so much space?" you asked, but your tone sounded playful, and you leaned a little closer to him. "You're massive."
Those words spoken in your voice had his cock stirring. "Yeah well, not a lot I can do about that, Ace."
That grin was back as you tapped the end of your pencil against your lips, and his gaze followed the motion. "So what do you do, Bradley? I'm going to guess you're not a waiter since you can't walk without spilling drinks. And you're definitely not a writer."
"I'm a pilot. A naval aviator," he told you softly, running his thumb along your back and watching you bite your lip.Â
"Fascinating," you told him before returning your attention back to the game and scribbling down the pitch count. And that's when Bradley's gaze landed on your badge which was sitting next to your computer.Â
He recognized your full name immediately. "Holy shit. You write for the New York Times."
"Yeah," you replied, turning to look at him before pulling your lip between your teeth again.
"Ace. I recognize your name. You're the best sports writer in the country."
Bradley was blushing, he knew he must be, but your bright smile was focused on him, and he couldn't keep his fingertips from drawing lazy shapes along your back where his hand rested.Â
"You know me?"
He nodded and raised an eyebrow at you. "You're famous. I read your articles all the time. I downloaded the New Your Times app solely for you."
When you laughed and gently bit the eraser end of your pencil, Bradley groaned. "You're funny," you told him.
"You're gorgeous." The words were out his mouth before he could stop himself. He thought about apologizing, but then you leaned in a little closer and ran your pencil eraser up his thigh along his jeans.
"Stop distracting me," you whispered, kissing his cheek before returning your attention to your computer. Your lips had brushed the end of his mustache, and he could still feel the soft sensation there as you gazed at him from the corner of your eyes. This was going to be a long night for Bradley.
--------------------------
Bradley had called you gorgeous. He was playful, and he kept a smile on your lips. When he made a comment about the Angels' catcher, you told him, "You're completely right. I'm adding that to my piece." And he blushed that deep shade of pink again.Â
"Damn, Ace. I'll be thinking about your voice when I read your article tomorrow morning."Â
"Mm," you hummed, marking down another strikeout. "It would be fun to read it to you. I think you'd blush. The whole time."Â
His lips were parted, and he looked a little surprised. "It would be the filthiest of dirty talk," he muttered, and when you giggled, he grinned.Â
You had to bite your lip against the desire to kiss his cheek again. "World Series articles and pitching stats? That's what's gonna do it for you, Bradley?"
"Shit, how dirty can you make those pitching stats?" he whispered, thumb still skimming along the back of your shirt.
"You'd be surprised," you told him, shooting him an innocent look as he nodded at you.
"I'm sure I would."
The more you scribbled down in your notebook as the game progressed, the closer Bradley got to you. His big palm was warm on your back and you found yourself leaning into him more and more. By the eighth inning, his leg was pressed up against yours and he just kept getting closer.Â
"Ace, you're killing me," he murmured, taking your pencil and erasing the sloppy note you had written about the Padres relief pitcher. "Let me help."
You laughed as he rewrote your note very neatly followed by what you assumed was his phone number. Oh, he was a bold one. Very handsome, very funny and very bold.Â
Without a word, he handed your pencil back to you. "What am I supposed to do with that?" you asked, tapping his phone number with the pencil.
His breath was warm on your cheek as he said, "Save it in your phone. Call it. Text it. Let it know when you're in San Diego. I don't know, Ace. I just like you."
Your lips parted right as the Padres catcher hit a home run, and as everyone else in the ballpark erupted in cheers or groans, Bradley pressed his lips softly to yours. And then you tossed your pencil aside and ran your hand up along his neck. His lips were soft, but damn, his mustache was rough and you liked it.Â
You pulled back a few inches. "And if I text you, you're going to write back?" you asked.Â
"Immediately," he promised.Â
"Well then maybe I'll save your number."
He groaned softly as you marked down the home run. "Are you covering game two on Sunday?" he asked as the ninth inning started.
"I'm covering every game," you told him, letting your hand rest on his thigh. The soft noise he made had you scraping your fingernails softly along his jeans as he watched your hand instead of the game. "I'll be back and forth between San Diego and Los Angeles for the next two weeks or so, if they go to seven games. Which, in my professional opinion, they will."Â
After your fingers grazed his zipper, you watched his head tip back, the veins in his neck working as he swallowed. You were pretty turned on now, too. And the way he was responding to you was making things worse by the minute.Â
"I'm gonna have to drop a grand on a ticket to see you back here on Sunday, aren't I?" he asked as you shrugged and ran your finger along his belt loop. Then you released him and turned back to type a few sentences for your article.Â
"Listen," you told him without looking at him. "There's no guarantee I'm even going to let you have my number, so I wouldn't worry about that just yet."
He was quiet for a beat as you typed away, and then he said, "How about you let me buy you a drink for real? Right after the game tonight?"
"I have a deadline to meet," you told him, and he looked disappointed as he nodded. "But my article is almost done. And my hotel is right across the street. We could go to the bar there?"
"Absolutely," he murmured, his fingers still at your back. "Anywhere you want."
As soon as the game ended with a Padres victory, you tossed your computer and notebook into your bag, and you were on your feet next to Bradley. "Let's get out of here."Â
You took his big hand in yours, glancing up at him occasionally as you tried to beat most of the crowd to the exit. And each time, he was looking back at you, smiling. You led him across the parking lot, and your hotel was in sight when you pushed him up against the brick wall outside of the ballpark. Bradley welcomed your body against his, and he looked at you like he couldn't believe this was happening just before you kissed him.
It was dark over here, even the streetlights were dim. His hands were on your back as your fingers tangled in his hair, and you were rubbing yourself gently against him.Â
"Ace," he grunted against your lips. "You gotta let me buy you that drink."Â
You could feel him growing harder for you as you kissed him and tasted his tongue. Suddenly the hotel bar was the farthest thing from your mind. It had been replaced by thoughts of your hotel room bed instead.Â
"Come on, Bradley," you whispered, linking your fingers with his and leading him further down the sidewalk. He went with you willingly, leaning down to kiss your cheek and your neck as you waited in a crowd of people for the light to change at the crosswalk.Â
"You smell good. Like the beer I spilled on you," he groaned, holding you close. The movement of his lips had his mustache prickling your neck. You wanted to feel it on all your sensitive skin. You wanted to see if you could make him blush in bed.Â
You and he stumbled across the street and into the hotel lobby where you eyed the bar as he wrapped his big hand around your waist. You looked up at him and asked, "Wanna skip the bar and go up to my room? Find out if I taste good like the beer, too?"Â
The sound of Bradley's groan as his hand slid down to your butt had you pressing yourself against his thigh. "Lead the way, Ace."
--------------------------
The elevator ride to the top floor was filled with the sound of kissing as well as the little gasping noises you made. Your hands were at the fly of his jeans as he pushed you back against the wall and devoured your mouth. Bradley was so hard and ready for you, he was honestly surprised. He just met you. This was not a usual occurrence for him.Â
"Bradley," you moaned, unbuttoning his jeans as the elevator jolted to a stop. You abandoned his jeans for his hand and pulled him down the hallway, running toward your room and laughing. You stopped in front of one of the doors and started to dig in your bag.
He stood behind you and ran his lips along your neck as you gasped for him. You were so responsive, stroking something deep down inside of Bradley every time you reacted to him. He wrapped his hands around to the front of your jeans and started to play with your button as well. When his fingers met the soft skin of your belly, your head tipped back against him.Â
"I can't find my room key," you moaned as he ran his hands up inside your shirt. He watched as you gripped the bag with both hands and let your eyes drift closed.Â
"You're not really trying very hard, Baby," he said with a smirk. He couldn't believe you right now. So pretty and so lost to his touch. He was throbbing and aching for you, too.Â
"Because you're teasing me!" you complained with a laugh. But then you turned in his arms, and suddenly Bradley's hands were on your bare back. Your eyes were wide, bag clutched between your body and his. "This is... not something that I usually do. Especially not when I'm on the job." Your voice was soft, and as you nervously bit your lip, Bradley leaned down to kiss your cheek.
"Same, Ace," he promised with a smirk. "In fact, I've never had a woman seduce me this quickly before. You're irresistible."
Your laughter was the best thing he had ever heard. "I thought I was the one being seduced here?"
"No," he said, reaching into your bag and plucking out the key. "You're in charge." He handed it to you, and you wrapped your fingers around the back of his neck and kissed him hard before you turned and unlocked the door with your other hand. You pulled Bradley with you as you stumbled backwards into the dark room.Â
As you searched blindly for the light switch, you pushed Bradley against the wall. You had your fingers in the hair at the back of his head and your tongue was in his mouth as you located the switch.
"That's better," you mumbled breathlessly as you turned on the light, and Bradley pulled away from you a few inches.Â
"You're fucking gorgeous," he whispered as he tightened his right arm around your waist. He wasn't being shy about how hard he was for you, and you weren't being shy either. You whimpered as you rubbed yourself gently against him, and he ran his thumb along your cheek and down to your lips. "I haven't been this turned on in so long."
Then Bradley watched you reach down and pull off your white shirt in one smooth motion, leaving you in that sinful looking blue bra before him. You were stroking him through his jeans with your right hand when you whispered, "I thought you were going to taste me, Bradley." Your eyes were wide and innocent looking as you challenged him.Â
He nodded slowly. "I wanna taste you everywhere." Then he scooped you up as you laughed, and he carried you to the king sized bed as you wrapped your arms around his neck. "You gonna let me do that?"
"Yes," you whispered right next to his ear, and Bradley eased you down onto the bed with his body weight on top of you. As you started tugging on his Padres shirt, he managed to remove his shoes before reaching down both of your calves and yanking yours off. He tossed them blindly behind himself, wincing as he hit the wall with both of them.Â
But you just laughed and pulled his tee shirt up, leaving him in his white tank. You were holding his shirt in your hand as he pressed his lips to yours. "You taste so good here," he whispered, running his tongue along your bottom lip as you wrapped your leg around his hip. Then he kissed your chest before licking a stripe across the top of your lace bra as you bucked your core against him. "Fuck," he groaned. He licked and sucked on the top of your right tit. "Your skin tastes like that spilled beer. I love it on you."
"Well then, you better clean me up with your tongue, since it's your fault in the first place." You tipped your head back, and arched your back off the bed, and Bradley followed your lead, letting his big hands find the clasp of your bra. You moaned softly as he unhooked it and moved his fingers around to ease the fabric away from your body.
"God damn," he groaned before taking your nipple between his lips. Your fingers were tight in his hair as he sucked on you, rubbing the rough pad of his thumb against your other breast.
"Bradley!" you cried out when he rubbed his mustache across your nipple. He was dying to fuck you, but you were letting him tease the hell out of you, and he was loving this.
"You like that?" he asked, enjoying all the cues you were giving him. He couldn't stop grinning as you whimpered a soft little yes before pulling his undershirt off.Â
When you ran your fingers through his chest hair and down his abs, Bradley swallowed hard. Because you didn't stop there. You reached right for his unbuttoned jeans and eased his zipper down. He held himself over you, looking down into your needy eyes as you ran your fingers along the elastic of his underwear before delving inside. You licked your pouty lips before you wrapped your hand around his cock, and then you closed the distance up to his lips with the softest, sweetest kiss. You stroked him slowly while barely brushing your lips against his, and it was driving him absolutely insane.
"Ace," he grunted, and you squeezed your hand around his cock and giggled while he moaned for you. Then you gasped and let go of him. "What's wrong?" he asked, immediately pulling himself away from you while he panted.
Your eyes looked concerned, so he put a little more distance between your bodies. "I don't have any condoms," you whispered as you eased your hand away from him.
Bradley pressed his lips to your forehead. "I think I have one in my wallet. It's new."
"Oh," you gasped. "Should have known," you told him. "You're pretty gorgeous, too."
Bradley wanted to ease your mind, let you know that he didn't hook up with a lot of women anymore. He wanted to tell you that the condom was there for just a special occasion like this one. He wanted to explain to you that the last few he'd had in his wallet had been sacrificed to Jake when he'd been in a pinch at the bar.
But you were easing him onto his back, and he supposed it probably wouldn't make much of a difference. It wasn't like you were going to want more from him than just tonight. Besides, he hadn't had anything that wasn't casual in a very long time.Â
You were on top of him now, straddling his waist in your unbuttoned jeans, and you were reaching for both of his hands. And when you had your fingers laced with his and pinned his hands over his head, Bradley closed his eyes and enjoyed your touch. Your lips were soft on his face and your thumbs were stroking along his palms in a way that was not only turning him on more, but also providing him with some comfort.Â
When you whispered his name, he opened his eyes and he felt surprised by the realization that he only met you tonight.Â
"Maybe you should get that condom ready?" you asked softly, rolling your hips against Bradley's torso.
"Yeah," he grunted. And then you were easing down his body, taking his jeans and underwear with you. Bradley propped himself up on one elbow as his cock sprang free. You made eye contact with him, lips parted on a soft whimper.Â
"Bradley," you sighed, tugging his jeans, underwear and socks completely off.Â
Before you tossed everything aside, he mumbled, "Grab my wallet, Baby." Your eyes met his with so much need before you focused on taking the leather out of the pocket of his jeans, it had him reaching for you.Â
You shoved it into his hand before you scrambled back up his body and brushed your fingers through his hair, kissing his lips like he was every goddamn thing you wanted.
Bradley removed the condom and tossed his wallet onto the floor. Then he had you underneath him again. You still smelled like the spilled beer as he kissed his way along your chest, and you were trying to wriggle out of your jeans. "I can take care of that," he whispered, pressing the condom into your hand. Then he had every scrap of fabric removed from your body, and he didn't know if he could handle how perfect you really were. "Ace," he groaned when you eased your feet up his biceps and let your ankles rest on his shoulders.Â
Bradley's lips found the inside of your right thigh as if he was drawn to you like a magnet. Your eyes were half lidded, and you had one hand in his hair and one on your tits. How was he going to recover from this?
"Let me taste you," he begged, and when you nodded, his lips were on your pussy immediately. He groaned, already addicted to the way you tasted here too. He kissed along your slit and buried his nose against your clit.
"Oh!" you gasped, tightening your grip on his hair and spreading your legs wider for him. Bradley's cock was throbbing against the bedding as he slid his tongue up through your soaking wet pussy until his lips were wrapped around your clit.
"Yesss," you hissed, gently riding his face as you whispered his name. And with each stroke of his tongue, you got a little louder, your fingers pulled his hair a little more. Oh, he was so fucking turned on for you, he wasn't sure he'd last more than a minute once he had that condom on.
"Bradley!" you gasped, pressing your heel into his back while he sucked on your clit. "Put the condom on."
It took him a little bit to get his lips away from your pussy, because he really wanted to get you off with his mouth. But then he rationalized that you wanted him to get you off with his dick instead, and that sounded perfect, too.
"Okay," he panted, brushing his wet mustache against your belly as you opened the condom for him. He rolled it on and kissed your lips as he pressed himself to your core. Now you were holding him in place by his hair as you returned his kisses, softly moaning into his mouth as he pressed his tip into you. You felt warm and tight and perfect, and as you took every inch of him, he stroked his thumb along your cheek.
"Oh god," you whimpered, frantically kissing him and licking his mustache. Your voice was coming in little gasps, and he loved the sound of it.
Bradley withdrew and thrust back inside you, and you rolled your hips with his. "You gotta tell me what you like, Ace. I want to make you feel good."
He watched your eyes go a little wider before you reached for his hand. When you took his index and middle fingers between your lips and started sucking on him while he fucked you, he groaned. "Baby. God that feels fucking great. But don't make me cum yet."
With a soft whimper, you swirled your tongue along his fingers before popping them out of your mouth and guiding his hand down between your bodies to your clit. Bradley had to suck in a deep breath and think about one of his superior officers leading a boring lecture to keep himself in check. He never felt close to the edge this fast, but as he ran his wet fingers along your clit and fucked you into the bed, he knew he could cum if he let himself.Â
"Bradley," you whispered, and he buried his face against your neck. "Harder."
He bit his lip and fucked you harder while you whined his name, and he kept his fingers on your clit, trying to work you up. He needed to get you off. He absolutely needed to do this. Because he was hoping you'd call him or text him. He wanted you to save his number and use it. He was already dying for more.Â
"Ace," he groaned, pressing his lips to your neck as your fingers drifted down his shoulders to his back.Â
You moaned, "I like it when you call me that," so Bradley pressed the nickname against your lips with his until you were gasping and clenching around him. When you came for him, you took his fingers from your clit and laced your hand with his as his movements grew more erratic.Â
He was saying something as he came inside you, but he wasn't exactly sure what. And you were looking up at him with a soft, fucked out smile and pushing his hair away from his forehead with your warm hand. And then you let him collapse on top of you while he was still buried inside you, and you ran your fingers back through his hair.Â
Bradley settled his cheek against your chest and let himself enjoy the feel of your breathing evening out after your orgasm. You were still making soft sounds as you rubbed your calf along his leg. He could have stayed just like this all night. You felt that good.Â
Just as he looked up at you, about to ask if there was any way you'd want to see him again this weekend, you laughed softly.Â
"Wow. That was fun."
Fun. He wanted to be more than a fun time. "And good, I hope?" he asked softly.Â
"More than good," you whispered, laughing again. "Amazing."Â
Bradley smiled at you, and he knew he was blushing. "Yeah. Amazing is the right word for it."
And you were smiling so much, Bradley laughed as you tried to hide behind your hand. He leaned in and kissed your wrist. "Ace, I-"
Bradley jerked away from you as an alarm went off somewhere in the room. When you sat up, he gently eased himself out of you with a grunt.
"That's my thirty minute warning," you told him, scrambling out of bed. "I need to finish my article and submit it."
"Oh," he said, watching you bend to locate your phone. "Right."
You looked at him and licked your lips nervously as you shifted your weight from one foot to the other. And then you bent to start retrieving your clothing, and Bradley's heart sank as he stood as well. Wordlessly, he went into the bathroom to take care of the condom and wash his hands, and when he came back out, you were dressed in your underwear and the white shirt he had messed up.
"I guess," he whispered, pulling on his own underwear, "I should go then."
You pressed your lips together and nodded slightly. "I guess so."
"Okay," he said, quickly getting himself dressed in everything except his Padres tee. He just held that while he looked at you. "You have my number."
"I do," you whispered.Â
"You can use it," he told you with a smile, and you leaned in to kiss his cheek. And then your lips were on his. And then your fingers were in his hair again.Â
You moaned and then pulled away from him, and Bradley forced himself to walk backwards to the door, not wanting to take his eyes off you.Â
"Bye, Bradley."
He didn't want to say goodbye to you, so he said, "See ya, Ace," and then he was out in the hallway with the door closing behind him.

đ€ NEW YORK đ” 1990'S âȘ â¶ïž â© Come spend a summer in New York. The sun sets a little differently over the Empire State.Â
ă Bruno's always been the odd one on his block. He works as a drywaller but has hopes of making a living writing for Broadway. His family is pretty well known around town, but he's always preferred to keep a low profile. Bruno's best friend, Luigi (Super Mario Bros.), runs a plumbing business with his older brother in Brooklyn. They've known each other since they were kids, always being picked last for basketball or bonding over the color green.
Their other best friend is Kuzco (Emperor's New Groove), a rich kid from Upper Manhattan and up-and-coming heir to his family's billion-dollar empire. However, due to his lack of maturity and wild party-boy behavior, Kuzco has been temporarily cut off financially, forcing him to take a job as a Taxi driver.
Despite being cut off, Kuzco still has access to some perks, like the rooftop basketball court of the Sports Club his Dad owns. But Kuzco's not the only one with a hookup.
Audrey Ramirez (Atlantis: The Lost Empire), a chief mechanic engineer, can come and go as she pleases thanks to this being the gym where her Boxing Champion sister trains. She's always with her best friend and roommate, Chel (The Road to El Dorado), who is originally from Colombia and works at The Met.ă For @wdtajn crossover week!

just a little A Team hurt/comfort
------
Raph knocked over some moving boxes during their last shouting match - he spares them a guilty glance as he walks past. Someone has tried to clean up the mess (Mikey, most likely), but he can still tell that they were recently upended and their contents left scattered on the ground.
He knows this is why they told him to go get Leo for breakfast. They want this to be a peace offering. Raph would like for it to be a peace offering, too, but...
Well, it's not like he likes fighting with Leo. Things are just... complicated.
He makes it to Leo's train car, and takes a deep breath before pulling the curtain back. He can do this. One civil interaction.
Leo's already awake, scrolling through his phone. That's in his favor - Leo's always grumpy if you wake him up. At least this way, Raph doesn't have to.
"Hey Leo," he says, and his brother flicks his eyes up from the phone screen. "Breakfast in five. Mikey made waffles."
"Oh, sweet," says Leo. He grins, but even Raph can tell it's forced. "I'll be there in a sec - just checkin' the socials."
And for a moment, Raph almost says something; says that he's sorry, and he takes back everything he said, and Leo should just forget about it, not worry about it, he doesn't want to fight anymore and this is stupid-
And then he thinks about Karai, and the Shredder, and their dad, and the far too close call they had to losing each other, New York, the whole world-
And he thinks about Leo skipping training to go skateboarding, Leo showing up late to patrol with a quip and laugh, Leo charging into fights without so much as a word to the rest of them, Leo who can't take anything seriously-
And it dies in his mouth. He says instead, "Yeah, sure. Just get there before it gets cold."
He turns to leave, but before he can, Leo calls out, "Hey, Raph?"
Raph only half turns, looking over his shoulder at Leo. Wondering if, maybe, Leo is going to try to say something instead. Wondering if he finally gets it, or if they're going to start fighting before breakfast.
Maybe Leo is running the same calculations. Raph is sure he is, actually, because Leo's brain twists over words the way Donnie's twists over physics.
So he must come to the same conclusion, because he doesn't say anything about the fight, or training, or his responsibilities, or any of it. What he says is, "Love you, big bro."
And Raph's heart drops into his stomach.
-----
Leo's always been looser with those words than any of the rest of them. Been that way since they were little, and Splinter kept them in the same part of the sewer, sleeping on pallet beds with whatever pillows and sheets he managed to find in the dump.
"Goodnight, Daddy. I love you," said Leo. "Goodnight Raphie, I love you. Goodnight, Donnie..."
The ritual was long - Leo always used three times as many words as other people. Sometimes Splinter would say, "Yes, yes, Blue, now let your brothers sleep." Sometimes Raph would say, "Hurry it up, Leo." Sometimes Donnie would hide his head under his pillow, or smack that same pillow over Leo's face.
Nowadays, Raph misses that: the sincerely sweet way Leo wanted them all to know he loved them.
As he grew older, Leo began using those words more flippantly. "I love you, but" became one of his stock phrases, a way to soften the blow of criticism. "Come on, you know I love you," said to ward off any retaliation after a prank or insult. "Love ya, bye!" rushed out at the end of one of their rare phone calls, a signal he didn't want to talk anymore.
But every now and then, Raph still got the sincere version. When he brought Leo tea the morning after a bad bout of insomnia. When Leo fussed over an injury, gently winding bandages around his arm or leg. When Leo was sleepy after a long Lou Jitsu marathon, and he reverted to the old ritual as Raph tucked him into bed: "Goodnight, I love you."
The "love you" Leo says to him now, in his room, before breakfast, with the mess of their last big fight barely cleaned up, is none of those.
The "love you" Leo says now is a question.
He doesn't pronounce it like a question. There's no upward lilt to his voice. He doesn't end it by asking if Raph knows. But Raph can still hear it, buried deep in Leo's tone: he's not sure. About loving Raph? About being loved? About what there still is between them?
Raph loves Leo. He loves him so much it aches. It's why he knocked the box over. It's why he wants to knock another ten boxes over. It's why he just needs Leo to understand, to hear him, to see what he sees when he closes his eyes and sees Karai, and the Shredder, and their family almost-
But here they are. With Leo saying "love you" like it's a question and Raph doesn't know the right answer.
"Yeah," he says. "Breakfast in five," he says.
He doesn't know the right answer but he does know that wasn't it.
He leaves Leo in his room, and goes back to his own. Puts his face in his hands. He sees Karai.
He knocks another box over.
-----
Leo's hand is a tiny thing in his. It's also, maybe, the only part of his body that isn't broken. Not like his legs, his arms, his shell, his jaw, his neck-
Raph can't look at his neck. The bruise there makes him want to throw up.
Leo's been out of critical condition for almost two full days. It hasn't made any of them less on edge, and they still spend most of their time crowded in the med bay, watching Leo's chest like it will stop rising the moment they turn their backs.
But Leo's heart doesn't stop, and he breathes in and out, and Raph holds his hand and strokes the back of it with his thumb.
He'd wanted Leo to understand.
He hadn't wanted this to be how Leo learned.
When he closes his eyes now he sees Leo right next to Karai, and he has to touch Leo again, to make sure he's still really there.
Movement from the bed, and a soft noise. Raph's gaze trails up from Leo's hand to his eyes, open but heavy lidded, clouded with a haze of exhaustion and medicine.
"Hey, Leo," he says, trying to keep his tone upbeat despite it all. "You're home; you're safe."
"Mm," hums Leo, still sleepy. He twists the hand that Raph's holding, adjusting his grip so it's wrapped around Raph's thumb. He strokes at Raph the way Raph had just been doing for him, and Raph feels tears sting his eyes.
"Love you, Raphie," says Leo, and this time, there's not a hint of uncertainty.
Raph's heart lurches again. Whatever answer Leo had been looking for last time, he must have found it.
But.
Raph doesn't plan to leave anything to chance. Not anymore.
"Love you too, Leo." He leans in, press his forehead to the top of Leo's head. "I love you, too."
Leo makes a pleased noise, low in his throat. He's already sinking back into sleep, his grip on Raph's hand growing loose. His breaths are still steady and even, heart beating strong, the look on his face peaceful.
"Goodnight, Leo," says Raph. "I love you."

You were effortlessly stunning, you had captivated the attention of every straight man in the bar. Mat had approached you as you sat at the bar, âIâm Mat, can I buy you a drink?â
You grinned and spoke, southern accent slipping out, âIâm Y/N, I mean Barzy after the way you played last game? Iâve heard worse.â Mat grinned, âSo now would probably be a shitty time to ask you out?â You smiled at him, âMaybe not.â Mat smiled, âIf I may, your not from New York are you? Where are you from?â You grinned, âI grew up in Toronto with my 3 younger brothers and moved to Alabama for college and been in New York for a few months now.â Mat grinned, âWell welcome to New York beautiful.â That was a year and a half ago. You still hadnât told your brothers who your boyfriend was, just that his name was Mathew. Until your album release came creeping in and you wanted to go public with Mat.

Low Pressure
TMNT Bayverse x Reader
Sliiiiight Michelangelo x Reader
Reader has she/her pronouns.
The reader has POTS/Anemia and is caught up in a trap the Foot set for the turtles in the subway. Her condition brings unwanted attention and she is thrown onto the tracks in front of an oncoming train. What will the turtles do with this unusual girl?
Warnings: Canon typical violence, damsel in distress, fainting, injury, hurt/comfort
âšâšâšâšâšâšâšâšâšâš
A warm summer evening. The humidity had seeped into the subway tunnels and warmed the smell of the sewage and stale air. A young woman clutching a small bag of groceries was crouching down in the middle of the slightly crowded platform - an unusual sight - looking quite pale.Â
âJust three more stops and Iâll be home.âÂ
You despised the long wait for the next train between transfers. The long day of errands had drained what little energy you had and left you feeling dizzy. The sign above the platform stated the next train would be arriving in roughly 7 more minutes, and you let out a light groan as you scrolled down the light of your phone.Â
An echo of a stampede suddenly cascaded down the subway steps. Unbothered, you did not glance up from your phone, assuming it was a group of kids or tourists in a rush to make the next train. That is, until you were nudged roughly by an offending leg, knocking you over with a surprised shout.
âHey!!! What-?âÂ
Your complaint was cut short as you regarded the woman standing above you with shock. The older woman was clad in all black tactical gear, holding a large assault rifle.Â
âYou- get up.â
The command was short and loud as the gun was nudged at you, and you quickly scrambled to your feet. Looking around you saw more thugs cornering the other people on the platform and ordering them to hold their hands to their heads, and stand with their backs facing the platform.Â
A man shoved you towards the edge of the platform to join the others, your shopping bag abandoned. Your vision swam slightly as the blood rushed to your head, and you tried to get your breathing under control. Everything was happening so fast.
The thugs in all black tactical gear unzipped their duffle bags and started to stick small white boxes to the shadows of the stationâs pillars. They were unassuming and blended in.
When they were finished, the older woman ripped off her mask to reveal short stark black hair. You recognized her face from the evening news. She was a head of the Foot Clan that had terrorized New York City many times in the past. It was rumored they had gone into hiding after their leader had disappeared during the invasion. Why had they resurfaced?Â
âStand still!â A man barked at you, as you were starting to sway in place. An older man standing beside you gave you a worried look as your breathing became shaky and the color drained from your face, like you were going to be sick. Your eyes were distant as sweat dripped from your temple. You tried to focus as your waning stamina drained and your vision started to blur.Â
âIâŠ. I need to sit downâŠâ You stated desperately in a small shaky voice. Black dots danced behind your eyes.
âI said STAND STILL!â The man pacing around with a gun shouted at you once more, walking over to you to give you a curt shove with the but of his gun. What little balance you were retaining was broken and you weakly fell to your hands and knees, shaking and breathing heavily.Â
âHEY!! GET UP!!â The man shouted and kicked your shoulder with his foot. You groaned as your arms trembled but did not have the strength to get up, fighting to stay conscious as your vision swam and nausea crawled up your throat. Then the woman with the short black hair approached at the sounds of the shouting, regarding the collapsed hostage with mild disdain.
ââŠâŠThrow her onto the tracks.â She coldly ordered, and a few of the other hostages cried out quietly in shock. Your yelp of distress echoed through the station as the man grabbed you and began to drag you the short distance to the edge of the platform. No one dared to step up and protest.Â
âIf anyone else moves a muscle, they shall share the same fate!â She called out to the horrified crowd. Then she spoke a quick order into her walkie talkie, and started to walk towards the exit of the tunnel. The rumble of the train approaching sounded just as the man finally kicked you down onto the train tracks. A shriek rang out from the hostages but still, no one dared move. You tumbled hard onto the dusty dirty tracks and a dull thud could be heard as your head struck metal. You were soundly knocked unconscious.Â
Suddenly the lights started to flicker. A shout and a cheerful whoop called out from somewhere in the tunnels, the sounds bouncing off the walls with the blaring horn of the train. A darting motion, quick as lightning, two, three, four figures blending into the shadows. In the blink of an eye, the young woman disappeared from the tracks just before the train passed over them.Â
Wap! Bang!Â
Two Foot minions were slammed to the ground. There were shouts of alarm and the men with guns looked around for the culprits, shooting wildly at the shadows. The woman in black called out another command before fleeing up the stairs and out of the subway station, escaping the fight. Many of her minions began to quickly follow her while those remaining were quickly subdued by the unseen force.Â
âQuick! Get out of here!â A new voice in the dark shouted. As the people suddenly were allowed to flee, a large figure appeared, green and in an orange mask, carrying the young woman.Â
âHere!! Someone take her! Get her out of here! Hey!!!!â He called, holding her out for anyone rushing by, but all the fleeing people gave him a wide berth as they themselves escaped.Â
âMikey! Put her down. The police will come find her later.â A gruff voice called out.Â
âNo no wait, she might need immediate medical assistance-â Another one supplemented.
Suddenly, a small beeping sound started to echo from around the tunnel. The brothers looked around, and noticed small flashing red lights on all the surrounding pillars. They had walked into a trap.
âAh shit- RUN!!!âÂ
All four brothers jumped down onto the train tracks just as the bombs exploded, sending rubble flying onto the platform and tracks. Pieces of concrete and beams from the ceiling cracked and came loose as the tunnel started to cave in.
âWE NEED TO TAKE COVER!â
The leader in blue led the team down the tracks and towards an unlocked door in the maintenance tunnel. Everyone rushed through the small door just as the rest of the bombs exploded, causing cracks in the street above to stretch down the street and layer upon layer of road and cement to crash down and completely block the tunnel. They waited for the rumbling to die down until the dust settled in the dark of the small room and they all caught their breath.Â
âGreat. The Foot are back and they want us dead.âÂ
âWe donât know that- maybe they were just trying to rob the passengers?âÂ
Donatello cracked a large red glow stick to illuminate what looked like an old control room lined with various pipes and levers.
âAnd set up all those bombs to go off when weâre the last one in the tunnels? I donât think so.â
âUuuuuuh guys?â
âWhat Mikey?â 3 of the brothers turned to the youngest with exasperation. In the low light they noticed he was still holding the unconscious young woman in his arms.
âYou still have her?!?!â
âWhat??? Was I just supposed to leave her in the collapsing tunnel?!?â
Leonardo sighed and ran a hand down his face as he paced the room. ââŠRight. We need to get out of here and find a hospital to drop her off at.âÂ
The purple banded brother approached, dropping the glow stick and flicking on a small book light on his shoulder, shining it on the womanâs face. Checking her over for injury, he followed a small trail of blood up into her hairline and found a noticeable bump there and took note of a darkening bruise on her exposed shoulder.Â
âDuuuuudeâŠ. Sheâs pretty cute! Betcha $10 I can get her number- Ow!â Donnie swatted him for good measure.
âIt looks like she might have a concussion. I wonât be able to tell the severity until she wakes up.â
âShe mustâve hit her head pretty hard to knock out on the tracks.â Leonardo said, glancing over his brotherâs shoulder.
Suddenly the small woman groaned as the light shining in her eyes began to rouse her. The shoulder light was quickly switched off.
âCome on. Letâs find a way outta here before she wakes up.â Raph said gruffly.
He pushed past Donnie and Mikey and slowly tried to pry the metal door open.Â
âCareful!â Leo jogged over to brace the door as some large chunks of concrete tumbled out, disturbing the dust in the air. Donnie coughed and waved a hand in front of his face as he picked up the glow stick and approached, Mikey being left to stand in the back of the room still holding the injured woman.
Raph and Leo stepped aside as Donnie waved them out of the way, stepping over the wreckage and tossing the glow stick at the base of the door. The light illuminated a small gap in the collapsed stone at the top of the door.
âThere. The cave-in isnât piled high enough in this part of the tunnel. It looks like we can squeeze out through there and look for a manhole cover.â
âAlright, sounds like a plan. Iâll go first to check if itâs stable, then Mikey can pass the girl up to me.â Leo ordered, getting a nod from everyone in approval.Â
âBe careful not to trigger another shift in the rubble, Leo. If weâre not careful, then another tumble could bury us in here.â
âNo pressure or anything dude.â Mikey joked as he went to stand next to Raph as Leo began his climb, the red banded turtle rolling his eyes. Donnie was fiddling with the holo screen on his wrist with a blueprint of the tunnels pulled up.Â
âYou see anything up there Leo??â Donnie called up after Leo fully climbed out of the rubble. The shifting of small rocks could be heard as the blue leader found his barings.
âLooks like thereâs a ladder a little ways down the tunnel. Could lead topside.â
âWoo!! Letâs get out of here, I wanna get this dust outta my mouth.â Mikey sputtered and spit as Leo crouched down by the opening, reaching down to be handed the unconscious young woman.Â
âMe next! Iâm gonna check if the ladder is the same one that showed up in my blueprints.â Donnie piped up. Leo set down the girl gently and reached down again to offer a hand to Donnie. Raph took a knee and locked his hands together to give Donnie a boost out of the room. Mikey got excited.Â
âOooooh! Me next! Me next!â Raph grunted as Mikey immediately placed his foot in his hands and put a hand over Raphâs face to steady himself.
âUgh. Just get it over with.â With a steady throw he launched his brother up out of the room. Lastly, Leo and Mikey each reached down a hand to help pull Raph up and out of the stuffy room.
Once out, Raph noticed the glow of the city night lights streaming down through the broken ceiling, accompanied by the red and blue flashes of police lights from street level.
âSheesh. This is gonna take ages to fixâŠâ Raph wandered away from the light towards the base of the rubble where Donnie was looking around by the far wall.Â
âThis should lead us outta here! Come on guys!â Donnie called, closing his hologram and waving the brothers over. Mikey had scooped up the unconscious girl again while Leo guided them both carefully down the slope, stumbling a bit and causing a few rugged cement blocks to tumble down past them.
They climbed the ladder up to street level and all piled out into an alleyway. Discreetly, they climbed the closest buildingâs fire escape up onto a roof. Sirens were wailing as police worked to section off the collapsed road and subway entrance just around the corner. Leo was surveying the wreckage and scanning for an ambulance from the edge of the roof, when suddenly a soft sound came from Mikey that made them all pause.Â
They all turned to look down at the young woman whose eyes were just fluttering open, and Mikey quickly moved to place her down on the rooftop before stepping back in a crouch. They all had a little bit more experience dealing with the human shock after April, so they knew to give some space in case she screamed or passed out again.Â
âMhâŠ? OwâŠ.â You managed to sit up, arm coming up to grip your head in pain. You felt a bit dizzy, looking around as your vision cleared, until your eyes landed on a materializing fuzzy shape. You blinked, and wondered if you were dreaming. Right in front of your eyes was what appeared to be a large green alien-looking being crouching a few steps away, smiling and waving at you. Looking past him you saw 3 more large green men, all looking at you with a variety of different expressions. For a long moment you just looked between them in quiet pause, taking in all the details of their individual forms. One of them appeared nervous and bashful at meeting your long gaze, another standoffish, and one stood firm and steadily sized you up. The one closest to you wearing an orange bandana over his eyes looked excited as he shifted around to pull out his smart phone from his pocket and hopped a little closer.Â
âHey, the nameâs Mikey! You havenât screamed yet so I'm taking that as a good sign- Can I have your number?â You raised a shocked eyebrow at the cheerful chatter and the other green men groaned, shaking their heads. But the silly casual reaction did wonders to calm your nerves. They seemed⊠friendly.
Quickly, the (nervous) purple banded⊠greenmanâŠ? Stepped forward and crouched beside you, slightly blocking out the excited orange one and pulled down some binoculars over his eyes, switching on a light over his shoulder.Â
You were a bit taken aback, nervous for a moment before he spoke.
âa-ahem, s-sorry, if you could just follow my finger for a moment?â He held up a green finger from a 3 fingered hand, and moved it from left to right. You followed. âGood. Can you tell me what city youâre in?â He reached up and oh-so gently touched your jaw to tilt your head, getting a better look at the bump on your head.
âN-New York City.â You now realized this was a concussion test and not some alien probe. âUm⊠Are you all wearing costumes or am I hallucinating?â You said a bit embarrassed. You werenât scared, just mildly confused. This *was* New York afterall. After an attempted alien invasion and the arrest of a mutant rhino and warthog, anything was possible.
The red-banded turtle in the background groaned and threw his hands up, turning away. The blue one however stepped forward with a sheepish expression and a slight grin.Â
âMutants, actually. We should get you to an ambulance to get your injuries properly checked out. The police would also probably appreciate a statement, if thatâs alright with you.â He said leaning down slightly over his purple companion, who switched off his light and offered you a hand to stand.Â
âOhâŠâ You said, blinking a little as you looked at him. You noticed the offered hand and gratefully took it. âThank you.â With a little effort he helped you to stand up, the orange one also jumping to his feet behind him and crowded your space at your side.
âHey!!! You seem pretty chill! Whatâs your name?â The orange green man asked you excitedly, still clutching his cellphone in his hands.
You felt a bit shy but returned his smile. Mutants, huh? The news made them sound scary, but these guys just felt likeâŠ. People.
âMy name is (y/n).â You said warmly. âWhatâs your names? The last thing I remember was being thrown onto the train tracks⊠Did you guys get me out of there?â You asked, looking between them.Â
The red one looked over his shoulder at you, looking slightly surprised. And the blue and the purple one exchanged looks. The orange one beamed and bounced on his heels, stepping in front of you and picking up your hand. The skin of his hand felt rough and calloused.
âYeah, that was us! No need to thank us though, just doing our jobs.â He held his chin up high like he was proudly striking a pose. You giggled a bit. âMy nameâs Mikey! And thatâs Donnie-â He stepped aside for you to see the purple one straightening suddenly and raising his hand up in a wave. âThatâs Leo,â The blue one crossed his arms and nodded at you. âAnd the grump in the back is Raph!â Said grump shifted the toothpick heâd placed in his mouth and turned his head away, feigning disinterest.
âWow⊠well, thank you- very much, regardless. I really appreciate it.â You started to shift back and forth on your feet, starting to feel the creeping discomfort of being idle on your feet for too long. You shifted your attention to your hand clasped in Mikeyâs, and noticed the phone he was still holding. You reached out tentatively to take it, watching as his eyes widened in mute shock as you looked for permission. âYou wanted my number, right? You seem very nice, and⊠Iâd like it if you gave me the opportunity to thank you all properly sometime. Is⊠that okay?âÂ
You glanced over to the rest of the mutants, who all equally looked to have frozen up with shock.Â
âY-yeah! Of course, dudette! You can text or call me anytime you want!â Mikey seemed flustered with barely contained excitement as he let you take his phone. You took his heavily modified smart phone and began to enter in your name and number into his contacts. Mikey turned back to his brothers and shot them a double thumbs up which made them relax with minor content. You sent yourself a message and returned his phone once you felt a buzz in your pocket. Mikey happily took his phone and looked between you and the screen like you had just gifted him the nobel prize. Then backed away to swing over a show Donnie and brag that he got a pretty girlâs number. Leo took a few steps toward you, and suddenly your eyes widened as you remembered something.Â
âOh, shoot, my groceriesâŠâ You mumbled looking down in mild frustration. It was already such a difficult chore getting out of your apartment, so you huffed in annoyance realizing you would have to repeat the task.
Leo chuckled lightly hearing your discontent and placed a hand on your shoulder, drawing your attention to him.
âYou can worry about that later. For now, let's just get you down there so the paramedics can get a look at you.â Leo looked past you out at the street for a moment, then leaned down slightly next to your ear and whispered. âAnd⊠Thanks for not being scared of us. I know it means a lot to Mikey.â *And the rest of us.*Â
The last part was left unsaid as Leo straightened with a kind smile. You felt your cheeks heat up at the sincerity and nodded your head with a grin. He felt like a strong and protective big brother, you realized. You looked past him at what you assumed were his brothers lightly roughhousing as Mikey excitedly waved around his phone.
âLetâs move out!â Leo ordered from beside you, and all the brothers turned their attention, Raph shoving Mikey one last time before they all jogged over to you both.Â
You turned around to look off the side of the building, wondering for a moment how you were all going to get down. Your thought was cut short as you yelped, big strong arms scooping you up like you weighed a couple of grapes.
âHold on tight, shorty.â Raph said with husky amusement, smearing over a Mikey who was complaining about not being the one to carry you.
âWait, where are we-â You were cut short as you startled a gasp as they all suddenly leap off the side of the building. You didnât have enough air in your lungs to scream so your arms shot around his neck. Your arms brushed against something hard and rough attached to his back. The boys bounced off the walls of the narrow alley and landed swiftly on the ground with barely a grunt. You shifted a bit in Raphâs hold to look over his shoulder, making him grumble as he jogged towards the street. You saw up close the ridges and panes of his shell reflected in the city street light.
âHuh⊠turtles?â You asked curiously, settling back and looking at Raphâs profile.
He snorted a laugh. âYeah. Turtles.â He glanced at you with an amused grin before looking back ahead.Â
Your lips pulled into a grin. The boys jogged through back alleys until the flashing of the police light at the safe edge of the collapsed underground came into clear view. Other hostages were standing around getting interviewed by police while some sat at the back of an ambulance wrapped in blankets. The boys jogged to a halt and Raph gently placed you down on your feet.
âThey should be able to help you out. Make sure someone helps you get home safe, okay?â Leo said from beside you.
âShould you need anything, we have friends that will be in touch.â Donnie said, his attention seemingly on typing up a text message before tucking it away and looking up at you. You raised a curious brow at that.
All four brothers started to step away in preparation to leave.Â
âText me when you get home angelcakes!!!â Mikey said with a wave, bouncing as he warmed up for a run.
Raph grunted but still waved at you goodbye as he turned to leave.
âThank you again!!! Iâll see you!!â You called after them, waving from the opening of the alleyway as you watched them run and jump up the side of the buildingâs fire escape, marveling at their strength and speed. They whooped and laughed as they nimbly disappeared from sight, leaving nothing but the faint shadow of figures leaping over the rooftops in their wake.Â
Once they were out of sight, you sighed and turned again towards the flashing lights and chaos of the city street. News vans only just started to pull up as you stepped out and approached an officer who had caught your attention.Â
Hours later, after being checked over by a medic and given your testimony to a tired officer, you gratefully stepped out of the cab in front of your apartment building. By now it was the early hours of the morning. You panted lightly from the exertion of getting back to your apartment, exhausted. You pushed through the door and barely had the energy to shed your jacket, wallet, and keys, trudging straight to your bed. Knowing you couldnât stand being upright any longer, and longed to lay down after the long events of the evening.Â
You flopped heavily down onto your mattress, barely remembering to kick your shoes off, before rolling over onto your pillow. You felt a little better now laying down, but sleep still crept up on you. Before you could pass out, you groped around for your phone and pulled it up to type out a quick text. One, to your boss, briefly explaining what happened and that you would not be fit to work tomorrow, and a second, with a grin, to the new number that popped up into your messages. You recognized the message you had sent to yourself from his phone earlier that night, reviewed it, and moved to add the name âMikeyâ to your contacts, making sure to add a little turtle emoji next to his name.
âIâm back home. Thanks again for tonight. Talk to you later? :)âÂ
You sent the text and dropped your phone to your chest. Settling back into your pillow and closing your eyes. Then the quick buzz not a moment later caught your attention, and you eagerly checked your messages again.
It was a short and quick confirmation from your boss, making you groan and roll your eyes. But the followup buzz and the message notification at the top of the screen reading âMikeyâ had you quickly pulling up the other conversation.
âHeck yeah dudette!! Glad you made it back safe!! đ Lets talk over pizza next time!!â The message was followed by lots of pizza and heart emojis and a little turtle emoji at the end. You grinned. He sounded exactly the same over text.
âPizza it is! :] Let's plan more tomorrowâ
Your message was quickly responded to with a myriad of different emojis ranging from fire, winky face, and thumbs up. You chuckled and placed your phone down, satisfied and ready for sleep to consume you. You were grateful. It was a rare thing for you to make new friends in person like this. You were just hoping your lack of energy and mobility wouldnât be a problem for them. They seemed so strong and energetic, you just hoped you would be able to keep up with them.Â
You turned on your side and grabbed a stray blanket to throw over yourself, and allowed yourself to go to sleep.
âDude!!! Look!! She said we could get pizza together!!â Mikey excitedly bounced around clutching his phone on a random rooftop in Brooklyn.Â
Donnie adjusted his glasses to observe the bright screen in his brotherâs hands. âShe seems nice.â He offered, looking back up to Leo who was watching the street as a steady flow of people exited a bar.Â
âYeah, she does. Just make sure you still run a thorough background check on her when we get home, and forward her info to April just in case.â
âRoger.â
âCan we head back already? My show will be on soon.â Raph complained.
âYou know I can just stream Gunsmoke for you anytime, Raph.â Donnie scrunched up his nose as he regarded his brother.
âItâs not the same, I like the commercials.â He quietly grumbled as he stalked over to watch a couple stumble into an alleyway below and turned away when he confirmed their consent.Â
âAlright, let's head back. Good job tonight team! And Mikey- remember, no personal information until we confirm sheâs safe.â Leo said, pointing to his little brother.
âRight!â Mikey stood mock salute, before running off giggling like an excited little girl, brushing past an exasperated looking Donatello.Â
Raph sighed, slumping his shoulders and breaking into a jog after his little bro with his brothers. âYou know heâs not going to shut up about this, right?â He distantly called out as they leapt over rooftops.
A mirrored goan erupted from the other two.
âDonât remind me.â Donnie called back as he landed on another roof, pressing some buttons to check on the police scanner.
âGuys!!! Maybe I can finally get a girlfriend!!!â Mikey yelled over his shoulder as he kicked off a shed and spun around in a cool flip.
âShut up Mikey!â They called back in unison.
And they called an end to their night.
The End!

the milestones menu: nonna berzatto's homemade pasta
prompt: yours and carmen's first "i love you".
contains: fluff, general fluff. some mentions to dead relatives, carmen's self doubt, but very minimal bc it's very fluffy :)
2 cups of flour- Semolina.Â
4 Large EggsÂ
Pinch of Salt
Put flour into a mound. Make a center, and add the eggs to the middle. Whisk slowly with a fork, gradually working it in little at a time until nice and thick. Knead the mixture for about ten minutes. Let it rest in the fridge for thirty minutes. Put it in a ball, and roll it out very thin.Â
âCanât believe you never had homemade pasta.â Carmen shook his head, blue eyes peeking out from under the mess of curls.Â
âNope.â You shook your head, grinning over the crystal wine glass, sipping your riesling slowly. âStrictly a boxed pasta girl.âÂ
âFuckinâ criminal.â Carmen grinned, a playful, lopsided smirk that had you blushing.
The counter was covered in flour, stopping just where you rested, propped up on the granite while Carmen worked. Your eyes trained on his hands, hands that stirred the eggs into the flour, kneaded the dough until your thighs were clenching.Â
âMy Nonna is rollinâ in her grave right now, you know that?â Carmen pulled you from your gaze, rolling out the dough.Â
âNoooo, don't say that.â You laughed, shaking your head. âYouâre making me feel bad, Carmen. I swear I thought Olive Garden made fresh pasta.âÂ
Carmen laughed, a little shy but louder now- more himself. Heâd blossomed with you lately, unveiling new parts of himself every single day. ââM just kiddinâ, baby.â Carmen hummed, eyes cutting to you a little skeptical. âSorry, I-I didnât mean to sound like an asshole. That sounded douchey, right?âÂ
You smiled, setting your glass behind you. âNo, I was just messinâ with you, bear.â The nickname- his nickname. Hearing it more and more roll from your tongue, each time his heart skipped harder than the last.Â
âIs this her recipe?â You asked, picking up the faded recipe card, looped cursive on the aged paper. âYour Nonnaâs?âÂ
âYeah,â Carmen nodded. âI, uh, so when I left to go to culinary school, right? She was sick, and⊠and I think she, like, knew that when I went to New York that would be the last time she saw me.â Carmenâs face dropped, slow and sad, it made your own heart sink.Â
âSo she-she gave me all these recipe books and-and cards that were hers. We used to cook together a lot. She taught me how to cook, yâknow? My mom and dad were always at the restaurant and didnât want to cook when they got home. They didnât want me in the restaurant either so I spent a lot of time with her.â Carmen muttered. You could see the memories playing behind his eyes.Â
You liked to picture that version of Carmen, a little boy with wild curls, helping his Nonna cook. Happy memories.Â
âThatâs sweet.â You smiled, leaning against the cabinets. âShe did a really good job. You know sheâs so insanely proud of you.âÂ
Carmen snorted, shaking his head lightly. âYes, she is. Everyoneâs proud of you, Carmen⊠Iâm proud of you.â You hesitate, eyes scanning his features. It was true, of course, but handling Carmen sometimes was like handling a frightened animal. You were never sure what would make him scatter away in fear.Â
Carmen swallowed thickly, cheeks flushed red, lips in a tight line. âT-Thanks.â Carmen muttered, wiping his hands on his apron, tossing the flour back into his clammy hands.Â
âShe, uh, she woulda loved you, yâknow.â Carmenâs eyes met yours, intense and piercing. âI wish you coulda met her.âÂ
âYeah, me too.â You nod. âI wouldâve loved to hear all the baby Carmen cooking stories. I bet she had some good ones.â You smiled, bright and wide- perfect. It made Carmenâs brain numb.Â
âYeah, she would.â Carmen nodded, hands stilling, still buried in the dough.Â
He felt it in his bones, his heart, consuming his thoughts. The overwhelming need heâd felt for weeks, since the first time you kissed him really, that heâd been fighting- too scared to say. What he felt every time he looked at you, when he thought about you.Â
âUm, I-I wanna say something, and-and I donât know if I should even fuckinâ say this or-or if itâs⊠fuck, if you-you feel the same or I just, I donât wanna fuck this up because this is like the best thing thatâs ever happened to me, and-and Iâm workinâ on not ruininâ good shit in my life and beinâ ok with it like-like my therapist says ya know, but-â Carmen rambled, words spilling out in fast, overwhelming bouts that took you by surprise.Â
Carmen flustered, reaching a dough covered hand to his face, the sticky batter catching on his brows and hair. He flushed deeply, hands shaking in embarrassment, cursing under his breath. âF-Fuck, I-Iâm sorry. I-I, nevermind, itâs not⊠I donât know why-why I would-â His hands trembled, body shaking with anger and embarrassment. Way to fuckinâ go, Berzatto, you fuckinâ ruin it. Thatâs all you ever do, Carmen thought bitterly, wiping his hands off on the cloth.Â
âCarm,â You said softly, your voice a beacon in the raging sea of his mind, pulling him out of his own harsh thoughts.Â
Carmen turned, a fury flush of pure embarrassment that burnt all down his cheeks to his chest. Eyes soft and wary, hesitant like he was doomed, destined for the worse.Â
You slide off the counter easily, grabbing the spare towel, bringing it to his eyebrows, wiping the dough off gently. The softness of your touch soothed Carmen, lulling his hammering heart- he didnât see your own shaking hands, filled with your own adrenaline nerves.Â
You stood in front of him, eyes on the other, careful and watching- unsure. âI-I love you, too.â Your breath hitched, squeezing the words out in a nervous tumble. Carmen didnât move, body going rigid, heart stopping entirely. The ringing was back in his ears, clouding his brain so loudly he was sure he heard you wrong.Â
âIâve wanted to say it for a while, too, but didnâtâŠâ You shook your head, heat in your own cheeks, eyes casting down to his dough covered hand. âI didnât know if-if you felt that or if- I donât know, I didnât want to seem crazy or obsessive if it was too soon, and-and scare you.âÂ
âNo,â Carmen croaked, tongue thick in his own mouth. âNo, I-I mean- fuck,â Carmen shook his head, looking to the wall. He needed a second, words jumbled in his mouth, heart racing, so high off the adrenaline he felt like he could combust at any moment.Â
âI-I was gonna say that too.â Carmen nodded, the quirk in your lips making his heart lurch. âThat I love you. I was- yeah, I love you. I-I have for a while.âÂ
âReally?â You whispered, voice tiny and excited, like it was a secret just for the two of you. Maybe it was.Â
âYeah, fuck yeah.â Carmen let out a breathy, shaky laugh. âI love you, and-and I just love you so much it makes my brain hurt sometimes.âÂ
âMe too.â You grin, a hand pressing to his cheek. âI love you.â The phrase youâd repressed for so long, deprived yourself of saying now spilled out of you like a mantra- like that was all you could say now.Â
Carmen grinned, brain bubbly and light. He let you pull him into a kiss, head tilting down, lips molding over yours so they fit perfectly.Â
Later over plates of Bologonese, you grinned across the table from Carmen. âIf I didnât tell you I loved you before, I definitely would now.â You moaned, pointing at the plate. âI really was missing out.âÂ
Carmen beamed under your praise, gooey and love drunk off your words- off you. He knew Viola Berzatto, wherever she was, was boasting with pride.Â
And he knew his Nonna would have loved you too.Â

Package delivered
A/n: Back again with more Nat smut because I love her and I am down bad soooo yeah enjoy!
Pairings: Masculine!Natasha Romanoff x Fem!reader
Warnings: smut, strap on use, degradation, rough sex, reader wears a maid outfit lol, dom!natasha, sub!reader, squirting, and I think thatâs it let me know if I forgot any.
Summary: you and your girlfriends special package as arrived and you have some much needed fun.
It was just a normal afternoon in your small home in the outskirts of New York City when the doorbell rang. You told Nat youâd answer it, right when she was about to get up. The assassinâs eyes were trained on the screen since the New York Giants were playing against the Miami Dolphins. Of course, her being a big Giants fan she has to watch this. However youâre a Dolphins fan so the two of you butt heads all the time about what team is better but itâs all in good fun.
Youâre not as invested as she is, you only picked the dolphins because of their name and the cute dolphin logo. You opened the door to find a medium sized cardboard box. Immediately you were filled with excitement and you felt your panties getting wet at the knowledge of whatâs inside that box. You picked it up before closing and locking the door, skipping into the living room happily.
âOh NattyâŠâ you cooed. She looked at you, taking her eyes off the game before asking, âWhat is it, babe?â
You held the box in the air, âItâs here!â
You saw her eyes go darker and her demeanor shifting. âOh, our special stuff is here?â
You nodded and jumped up and down before sitting on her lap, pecking her on the lips.
âCan we open it?â You asked.
âSure, baby of course. Been waiting for this for months.â Long story short you and your girlfriend looked through a sex toy website and got a couple things. A couple sexy costumes for you and a strap for Natasha to wear. Youâve never really had experience with a strap but youâre definitely open to it.
The redhead used her pocket knife to cut through the tape and open the box. Inside were a bunch of packages for the costumes and she took them all out before quickly closing the box.
You furrowed your eyebrows.
âItâs a surprise, detka. Thereâs a reason I ordered this on my own.â She chuckled.
That made you more excited. You didnât know what it looked like, how big it wasâŠ
Your eyes drifted down to the costumes. They consisted of,
A sexy maid
A sexy nurse
A sexy cop
And a sexy Harley Quinn outfit that was just labeled as a âJester Girlâ to avoid copyright or whatever. The two of you love to act out cheesy porn scenarios and these are the perfect things to do it with. Minus the Harley one because Natasha is a big DC fan and just wants to see her girl in a Harley getup. Can you blame her?
âSo, which one do I try on?â You asked.
Natasha scoped over the costumes before her eyes landed on the maid outfit. âThis one for sure. Youâd make a dirty little maid.â
You chuckled, âOkay. Should I go put it on now?â
âOh yes please baby.â And with that you walked into your shared bedroom and put on the outfit. It has a short, black velvet skirt with white lace trim and a small apron, a matching crop top with puff sleeves and white detailing.
The skirt was short and you could see your white, cotton panties through them. Natasha loved when you wore white panties for some reason. Something about how innocent it looks.
You took a deep breath before walking out of the doorway and yelling, âCan I come out now?â
âYes.â Nat called back and you walked down the hall and into the living room. Her eyes were immediately glued to your body and she bit her lip.
âWell, do you like it?â You asked, batting your eyelashes.
âOh definitely. Give me a twirl baby.â She demanded and you did as you were told.
âFuck.â She muttered under her breath.
âNat, I know weâre supposed to do the whole roleplay thing but Iâm so horny I need you now.â You whined.
The redhead looked amused at that, âWell then, youâll be pleasantly surprised with my new cock.â
âGet down on your knees baby.â And you got on your knees, right in front of her crotch. You could see the bulge through her pants. You watched as she undid them before dropping them and her boxers off, revealing the pretty large strap. It was about 7 inches.
Eyes widening, you said, âI donât know- how is this going to fit in me? I donât know if I can take it.â
âOh, youâll take it. Now, are you gonna suck my dick or not?â So, you quickly got to work by first licking up to the top then taking the whole thing in your mouth. You began to suck her cock while she was sitting back still watching the game.
âYeah, letâs go!â She cheered.
âNatty?â You asked. You wanted to see if she was enjoying this too. Not just you.
âNo talking, slut. Suck my cock.â The Russian said sternly. Your lips parted in shock before obeying her. Fuck, you loved sucking it. It got you even wetter than before.
You moved your head all the way down, taking it at the back of your throat which made you gag. âOh yeah, look at you choke on my cock.â She smirked.
After awhile, your jaw was tired and Natasha could tell so she grabbed your hair and pulled your head up. She saw the drool dripping from your mouth down to your breasts and the string of saliva connecting you with the strap.
âTsk, such a dirty maid. Come on up here and lay down for me.â
You laid on the couch and your girlfriend pulled your panties down. âLooks like someone made a mess.â She chuckled before diving into your pussy, eating you out like you were her last meal.
âOh! Oh god!â You moaned.
Her tongue flicked on your clit before going back in between your folds. âMmm Nat.â You moaned again before feeling you coming closer and closer to your finish.
âYouâre close, I can feel it, cum for me sweetheart.ïżœïżœ And you did, crying out.
âGood girl. Hm, you think youâre ready for my dick?â
You nodded furiously.
âHmmm I donât know, this pussyâs pretty tight.â She teased as she started to slowly pump two fingers in and out of you.
âNo, please, I can take it. I want your big cock so bad.â You moaned desperately.
So, she lined up to your entrance before pushing in. Your eyes rolled back, you whimpered as you felt it stretch your walls.
âFuck youâre so so tight,â The assassin groaned before starting to thrust into you.
Your brows furrowed and you gripped onto her shoulders. âMmm faster.â
âWhat do we say?â
âPlease.â
âYou want me to go faster baby? Iâll show you faster.â And she quickened her pace, now pounding into you without mercy.
âYes! Yes! Oh yes!â You cried.
âOh my god youâre so beautiful.â
âI love you natty.â
âFuck, I love you too Y/n.â
And as she kept hitting your g spot you clenched around her before squirting all over the toy and the leather couch.
âHoly fuck thatâs hot. I didnât know you were a squirter.â She pulled her strap out before licking up everything. Then, she forced you on your knees again.
âFor a maid, youâve made quite the mess. Clean it up.â Natasha demanded and you sucked her cock once again, licking up your own cum and arousal.
The redhead leaned back, wiping some sweat from her forehead. âFucking love this day.â

I am in the process of unpacking boxes that have been packed for far, far, far too long after an old move and came across my copy of the graphic novel for The Kindly Ones and remembered not only that you signed it during a very very badly organized convention in New York in the 1990s* but that it saved me from being mugged** that same day. It brought back a whole slew of good memories of my life in the 90s and I wanted to thank you.
(*I think it was in 1996 or 1997; New York University's science-fiction club tried to host a convention that also served as a fundraiser for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and you were the GoH and were to give a speech. I remember Mike Diana, of Boiled Angel infamy, gave a small speech before yours and some of the people I was with were distinctly dismayed that someone other than you was speaking, but I remember being horrified by Mike's situation. You read Chivalry and one other story I don't remember, you said emphatically you would not do a signing, but did one anyway - and your silver pen died while you were singing my book, so I have your signature and a sketch of Dream in silver and gold.)
(**On the subway home, much later, after dinning and arguing with friends about Mike Diana's circumstances, I was in a virtually empty car and a guy basically pulled a knife on me and told me to give him my bag; I asked him if I could at least keep my ID and the signed copy of The Kindly Ones. He had a moment of geeking out over me having your autograph that delayed him from doing anything long enough for the train to pull in to the station and for someone to come into the empty car, see the guy with the knife, yell and make the mugger run.)
Reblogging for the mugging story.
And to put up a link to Boiled Angels: The Mike Diana story, a documentary on what happened to Mike.

masterlist masterpost ask box
The aftermath of her is interesting, to say the least. Training camp is creeping up and soon, Mat will have to return to New York. The two of you had a long but enlightening conversation shortly after his breakdown at your apartment. You had woken up the next morning to Noraâs foot digging into your kidney and Matâs feet near your face but all the discomfort evaporated when the three of you made breakfast together.Â
For the first time since Mat found out about Nora, you didnât have anxiety or dread hanging over your shoulders. You werenât worrying about other people's opinions or how Mat is adjusting or crazy girlfriends. Youâre finally able to focus on trying to figure out how exactly to make this work.
Mat on the other hand, is doing everything he can to try and make up for everything but heâs going a tad overboard.Â
âShe does not need a kitten, Mathew,â you say firmly, refusing to look at his phone that has a picture of a kitten.Â
âCâmon, look at that cute little fluffy baby,â he says, trying to push the phone closer to you. âItâll teach her responsibility!âÂ
âSheâs six,â you remind him, picking up a blanket off the couch and folding it. Matâs been sleeping at your apartment but on the couch, much to Noraâs dismay. She assumes now that Mat isnât dating anyone, you and Mat will get back together. The look of relief on her face when Mat told her Calista wasnât going to be around anymore made you want to cry. You hadnât truly understood just how much Matâs toxic relationship was affecting Nora.
However, her insistence that you and Mat get married now is getting a bit out of hand.Â
âWe should talk about it,â he says quietly, snapping you out of your thoughts.Â
Heâs not talking about the kitten now. Heâs referring to what kind of living situation youâre going to have come hockey season.
âYeah,â you sigh, placing the final blanket on the pile and turning to face him. He looks unsure, eyes darting around the room and looking everywhere except at you.Â
Itâs unusual to see him unsure about himself. The Mat you knew when you were young was confident and rarely doubted anything.Â
The past two months changed that, Nora changed it.
âI know you said that you donât want to move-â
âMat,â
â-but what if we just do weekends?âÂ
You give him a dry look. âWeekends? You want me and Nora to fly to New York every weekend? What are we, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift?â
âIf youâd told me about her in the first place, this wouldnât be an issue!â He snaps, and you flinch because heâs right. If you had listened to what everyone was telling you seven years ago, and told Mat about Nora, you wouldnât be in this situation. You had your reasons though, and youâll stand by them.
âYouâre never going to forgive me for that, are you?â
He shrugs. âI donât know how I can.â
. . .
Bringing up the news that Mat has to go back to New York soon does not go over well with Nora. Youâve seen her throw tantrums before, but this is next level. She locks herself in her bedroom and refuses to come out, demanding for grandma Nadia to come to your apartment, which is an easy fix. One phone call and sheâs at the front door.
Nora opens her bedroom door when she hears Nadiaâs voice, but still looks suspicious when she opens it enough for her to squeeze through. Theyâre in her room for about fifteen minutes before they both come out, Nadia looking exasperated but somber at the same time.
They stand in front of you and Mat, Nora staring at the floor and Nadia looking at the two of you.Â
âNora would like to ask the New York Islanders owners to relocate to British Columbia,â she says, pressing her lips together. You canât tell if sheâs trying not to laugh or not to cry.Â
Mat kneels down so heâs at Noraâs height and hesitantly takes her hands in his. âWe can definitely write them a letter peanut, but thatâs a lot easier said than done.â
Sheâs looking at the ground still but you can see teardrops hitting the floor and your heart breaks even more, if possible.
âWhy?â She sniffles and Mat gives you a desperate look. Youâve been a mom for six years, he hasnât even been a dad for 2 months.
âNora,â you say softly but firm enough that she looks up at you. âI explained how hockey works, remember?â
âYeah,â she mumbles, sniffling. âBut maybe if we explain, theyâll change it.â
You kneel down so youâre at her level and wipe her face. âThey wonât, baby.â
She starts sobbing when you say that, throwing one arm around you and one around Mat. You keep yourself from breaking down but you can hear Nadia sniffing quietly and Matâs shoulders are shaking.Â
All you wanted was for Nora to know Mat and his family but nothing has worked out the way you planned. You have no idea how it got to this point and youâre not sure if itâs going to be able to be fixed.
. . .
âWhat are you wishing for this year?â You asked Nora before she blew out the candles for her fifth birthday.
She tapped her chin a few times before grinning. âA daddy!âÂ
Nobody else heard her and she was too distracted to see the heartbroken look on your face.
. . .Â
âFigure anything out yet?â Marlee asks, putting a glass of wine in front of you.
After taking a sip of your wine, you shake your head. âNope. I canât uproot Noraâs life, and Mat has to go back to New York.â
Heâs been trying to spend as much time with her the past few days after her breakdown. Theyâre at the Barzal household tonight so youâre at Marleeâs, trying to forget for a while. You have no idea what to do and itâs killing you. Nora has been quiet and distant, and you donât know what to read of that. Part of you wonders if she wants to move to New York with Mat, but deep down you know your daughter and if you just take her away from everybody and everything she knows, it wonât end well.Â
âI donât know what to tell you,â Marlee says, being completely unhelpful. You know she canât solve your problems but you thought she would at least have some advice.Â
âYou got nothing?â You ask dryly.Â
She sighs, looking up at the ceiling before turning her gaze to you. âLook, moving to New York? Probably a bad idea, but is it worth trying? Maybe.â
You narrow your eyes at her. âHow many glasses of wine have you had?â
âThis is my first, thank you very much,â she sniffs.Â
âBut youâre suggesting I move Nora to New York?â You ask incredulously. This is completely out of character for Marlee. Sheâs usually the one who thinks things through.
âA trial,â she says. âTry moving to New York with Mat. The worst that will happen is you and Nora coming home.â
Even though sheâs saying this nonchalantly, sheâs staring into her wine glass thoughtfully. You know she wouldnât have suggested it if she hadnât thought it through.
The idea of moving is daunting and youâre not sure if you will even be able to go through with it. Sheâs right though, you could do a trial before Nora starts school. See how life in New York with Mat would be. If it would work.
âYou really think it could work?â You ask quietly.Â
âYou wonât know until you try.â

âYâever heard of pirate glass?â Jack asked out of the blue, his drawing hand stilling as he set his charcoal down. Davey raised a curious brow, and thoughtlessly tilted the angle of his head as he did so. This drew a âtskâ from Jack - ever the artist - and Davey rolled his eyes fondly before returning to his original position. âNo,â Davey responded, watching with surprise as Jack retrieved his pastels. This was an exceedingly rare thing, Davey knew; Jackâs sketches were almost always exclusively charcoal. Nothing more than smudges of black on white, and yet so much more. Jack breathed such life into his drawings that they hardly needed color.
And yet.
Davey watched from the corner of his eye as Jack rifles through the box, pulling out several colors that he canât quite see. âWhy do you ask?â Davey inquired, his voice sounding strangely in the New York night. Even with the bustle of the city, the two of them seemed to be in another world where the only sound was the clattering of chalk.
Jack hummed as he shifted back, pastels in hand. ââS neat stuff.â He said simply, starting in with one of the pastels - a pitch-dark shade, Davey could now tell. âWhen you look at it in the dark, or in most light, it looks just plain black or brown.â Jack continued, his hand making delicate, meticulous swipes across the paper. âGuess them pirates thought it helped keep the sun out oâ their booze or somethinâ.â A chuckle, and when Davey looked over there was a sort of half-smile on Jackâs face, though his eyes were still trained on his drawing.
âBut, if you get it in the right light, itâs anythinâ but plain. The color shines through.â Jack held up a bright spring green, something soft in his eyes that Davey couldnât quite place. âLike a gemstone, yâknow? Real pretty.â With that, Jack returned to the drawing, and the pair lapsed into quiet.
Chalk scratching paper, Jackâs soft, even breathing. Davey could stand to stay like this forever.
Davey isnât sure how much time passed just like that, but eventually Jack stood up, tipped the chalk dust off of the drawing, and lingered awkwardly in his spot for a moment. A hand brushing over his braids, Jack turned his sketchbook around and extended it to Davey.
Oh. Oh.
Staring back at Davey was his own face - his own eyes. Davey was no art critic, but it was obvious that Jack had made the eyes the focal point. His eyes. They were bright golden-green, like new spring growth, with dark around the edges.
Davey knew that it shouldnât have been so special. He saw his eyes regularly in the small mirror kept next to the bathtub, after all. But Jack had made them lookâŠdifferent. As though the lights of the city had turned them into something else entirely.
Pirate glass.
What a funny thing indeed. Such a fitting concept for Jack, who seemed to know everything about the seemingly most unusual matters. Davey was forced to wonder where Jack had learned of it - perhaps it was just another case of âimproving the truth.â
Regardless, there was something to be said about Jack using such a comparison to communicate his thoughts about Daveyâs eyes.
Real pretty played back in his head, and suddenly everything clicked neatly into place.
And even if pirate glass was just a Jack Kelly-certified method of skirting around the truth, Davey could think of worse ways to find out.
