ℹ️ Part 2/2⁣ ⁣ 🕑 2 years ago I created this Instagram account with the intention of sharing my local experiences when traveling and helping to promote the philosophy that by immersing yourself in your destination and connecting with people, you will find more fulfillment in your travels and in life in general. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ About 9 months ago, while I was working full time in an office job, 🗄️☎️ I started creating the website 👉 www.travelmvmt.com to go along with my social media presence. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⏰ Then, after months of saving money while I worked full time and painstakingly researching and writing immersive travel guides and blogs, I decided to leave and head off on my next adventure. This time to India. 🇮🇳⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ At this point, I haden't made a cent yet from my side project, and I was yet to be discovered by people outside my existing friends, family and followers online. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ But I knew it would work as I had put in the effort to provide the world with something amazing, different, and for free. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Right now, I'm in Slovenia 🇸🇮 having finished my very first "job" as a photographer/business consultant/blogger. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ We live in an impatient culture where people want to be the biggest and best now, but often forget about the *process* of their growth and struggle up the metaphorical mountain. ⛰️⁣ I'm definitely learning more than I've ever learnt before right now, and have a long way to go. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ☝️ Good things take time. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ℹ️ If you're stuck somewhere, doing something, or with some people that you're unhappy with - remember: Life happens now. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Do all the things you want to do. Be the person you want to be. Only YOU can create the lifestyle you want. 🤪🛩️ Not a bad way to "decompress" after my very first skydive today. ⁣ ⁣ After the rush of adrenaline from diving at over 13,000 feet this morning, ⤵️ I decided to go on another adrenaline adventure and do some kayaking 🛶 with @soca_adventure.⁣ ⁣ We paddled down Slovenia's most beautiful river, the emerald Soca. It's the 6th and final day of the @adzentures_yoga retreat and we kicked it off with a spectacular sunrise yoga session. 🌄⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ With a small group, we headed to Mt. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Mangart, ⛰️ Slovenia's highest driveable point, and set up our yoga mats for this incredible sun salutation. ☀️🙏⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ The combination of such a wild, incredible location whilst being calmly guided through the asanas (postures) took me into a whole other place. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🤔 Time felt like it stood still - whilst I was physically moving. I'm not sure how long it lasted, but I caught myself not thinking about anything.⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ That's such an unfamiliar and profound experience to have. 💙 Back in my happy place ☺️⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ It's been 2 years since I discovered this part of the world. 🔍🌍⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ I still remember driving over a mountain pass in the Alps 🏞️ ⁣⁣⁣⁣and laying my eyes on what was quite possibly the most beautiful sight I'd ever seen. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 😮 My jaw dropped. We stepped out of the car 🚗 and just stood there in awe. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Fast forward to 2019 and I am back here again! After backpacking India and having some downtime bouncing around Europe, I feel energised and thankful to be back in Bovec. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ This time I'm here with @adzentures_yoga, who specialise in adventure yoga retreats 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️ and culturally immersive tours 🍜🍷 in unforgettable places around the world. 🗺️⁣⁣ ⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Lindsey, the founder and head Yogi, 🧘‍♀️ is a local here and has been living in Bovec the past 5 years. Between yoga and outdoor adventures, she's been giving me a local tour of the area and introducing me to everyone ranging from local craft brewers, skydivers, organic chefs, as well as other travelers, each doing something they love.
