Norhi and Time is always an interesting concept. As someone who spends a lot of time traipsing about the wilds, she’s usually only aware enough of where the sun in. Which, being a Keeper, if she has her way, then the sun is nowhere to be seen.

At home they do have a chronometer inside their little shop. Partly to keep track of opening and closing hours. And also because they feel that it’s polite to their customers. There’s one in their apartment too. Mostly to help them keep track of the shop. They’ve got a little timer in the kitchen, if that counts as a clock. But that’s more or less all the normal chronometers they’ve got.

Norhi recently was given a nice little pocket chronometer. It was a late nameday gift from her grandmother’s beaux. She’s found it useful, for keeping up with everyone else at the Bellworks, and they’re more detailed schedules.

Overall, if it were up to Norhi, time would be measured in Dusk, Breakfast, Work, Lunch, Work/Play, Dinner, Play, Dawn, Bedtime. And that’d be it.

AI Behavior: 

Syrena is an erratic and energetic DPS, constantly moving around the field even when this is not required, as if she can’t bear to stand still. She seems to have a preference for flashy AOE skills, occasionally even utilising them in single target fights. When the player moves within a certain range of an enemy mob, Syrena will dash in and initiate combat before the player (or tank trust) can. If the player stands idle for more than a few seconds, Syrena will begin using her abilities despite being out of combat, resulting in many of her more potent skills being on cooldown should the player enter into combat shortly.

In terms of support at the very least she’s a very proactive party member; standard step is always used the moment it comes off cooldown, so her dance partner’s damage buff never falls off. She’s programmed with individual behaviours for technical step for each boss fight, prioritising use of it at the start of DPS checks. If her dance partner’s health falls below 40%, she moves to their position and uses curing waltz.

She dodges AOEs and executes boss fight mechanics perfectly, but often does so at the last possible second, and (if it isn’t on cooldown) particularly prefers to utilise en avant to dramatically dart out of AOEs. If a stack marker is placed on a party member, she will immediately en avant to their position, follow them around, and use shield samba. However, she does not display the same regard if a stack marker is placed on herself: she behaves as though she hasn’t noticed, continuing her standard behaviour of moving constantly around the field, which makes it very difficult for party members to stack on her.  

She will execute LB1 and LB2 at random, without any discernible trigger - occasionally even using LB1 on individual trash mobs. She will use LB3 the moment it becomes available, without fail.

5. Writing. I’ve been doing a whole lot of personal writing for myself lately (and recently finished something that was 35k words, and another I’m nearing the end of that is currently 60k) and it just. it feels really nice. to be pouring myself into something that is so rewarding and such a pure form of escapism. For Nol, I’m still fixated on James Norton as Andrei from W&P bc Nol’s Actually Andrei but mostly because he speaks hushedly, hesitantly, and without power. I think the point w Andrei is that he’s just made of angst, but Nol talks like that bc he broke his voice in the Vale, rather than having the world on his shoulders.

I didn’t think anything’d change since last time I did this meme but yesterday I found this song n I was rly taken by it so I think the first/main singer, Constantine Germanacos, is a lot like how Nol’s singing voice used to sound. He can still sing but it’s difficult and can hurt his throat.

43. Are they religious? What do they think of religion? What do they think of religious people? What do they think of non religious people?

Norhi is religious to a degree. She reveres all of the Twelve. Though she personally feels closest to Menphina and Nophica, due to being a Keeper of the Moon and a conjurer. But she’s sees times and places in her life for all of the Twelve. About once a year, she goes to the Sanctum of the Twelve and leaves appropriate botanical offerings - Halone Gerbera for Halone, Althyk Lavender for Althyk, etc. 

As for religious people, she kinda groups them in two ways - The Reasonable Ones & The Fanatical Sycophants Who Really Need To Chill. Most people fall under category one. Most Ishgardians who sneer at her and declare her a heretical outsider, still fall under category one. 

Category two is for the folks who seek to do harmful violence to innocents, for their religious beliefs. Which is quite the spaghetti ball of headache, if you get her started on puzzling out things like witch-droppings and religious war. After the entirety of Heavensward, she’s still not entirely sure how she feels about those things. 

Other than the difficulties inherent in defining category two, Norhi’s quite happy to view religious people as just people. Living their day to day like anyone else.

Interestingly, non-religious people fall under the same scrutiny as religious people. Are you being reasonable in your behavior? Or are you justifying the harming of innocents, because of your beliefs (or lack thereof)?

Norhi is perfectly content to coexist with people of varying levels of belief and disbelief, so long as no one’s causing real harm to anyone else. She views the spectrum of religion and atheism as just another way that the world is varied and interesting. 

She’s been called wishy-washy for being so centrist in her views and beliefs. But she just rolls with that and generally ignores it. She really doesn’t like talking about her views of Fate and Divine Intercession. Otherwise, she’ll just leave plants for the gods to enjoy, and go on her way.
